For 1 week Bondita was on complete bed rest. Anirudh due to some case had gone to Vrindavan. He was returning at the end of the week.

Manorama and Madhav had gone to a near worn out building.

Madhav : Bolo kya khabar hai.

Saathi 1: uss party mein viceroy bhi aa rha hai.

Manorama : Matlab..

Saathi 2 : Matlab ek teer se 2 nishaan.

Manorama: tab toh yeh bohot achi baat hai. Humare 2 dushman ek saath maare jayenge.

Madhav: Saare guns aur bomb taiyaar hain?

Saath 1 and 2 : Haan.

A person coming inside running and panting : Ek buri khabar hai.

Madhav : kya hua?

Saathi 3 : Greenwood ki party kal hone ke whajaye parso hai.

Madhav sighed while Manorama kicked the chair in frustration.

This was the second time that the party was rescheduled.

Saathi 2 : mein toh kehta hoon ki unke ghar mein ghuske unko maar dete hai.

Madhav: yahi woh chahte hain.

Manorama, confused: Matlab?

Madhav: woh yeh baar baar kar rhe hain taaki hum krantikaariyan gusse mein aake kuch aisa galat kadam uthayen taaki woh hume range haathon pakad sake. Hume dheerajta ke saath kaam lena hoga.

Saathi 1 : aur kitni dheerajta ? Mera saiyam chootne ke Charan pe hai.

Saathi 4 entering : Inqalab Zindabaad.

Manorama: kya khabar laaye ho.

Manorama, irritated: bologe?
Madhav kept a hand on her shoulder to calm her down .

Madhav : Aaram se bolo.

Saathi 4 : Greenwood Roy Chowdhary haveli mein gya hai.

Manorama, shouting: tum pagal ho? Yeh kaisi khushkhabri hai. Agar unhe kuch ...

Madhav : Manorama shaant. Usse puri baat khatam toh karne do.

Manorama turned away and went towards the window.

Saathi 4 : Mein wahan ek saadi waale ke taur pe gya tha toh pata chala ki Greenwood ne Roy Chowdhary parivaar ko party mein aane ka invitation diya hai. Kyun ki unki badi bahu ,yaani ki Bondita Roy Chowdhary ne unki betiyon ki jaan bachai thi.

Manorama turned and stood with shocked face. Madhav was also shocked.

Saathi 1 and 2 : yeh toh bohot achi baat hai. Acha ab hum chalte hain.

Three of them went away leaving Manorama and Madhav behind.

Manorama: Mein ... mein Roy Chowdhary parivaar ko kuch hone nhi de sakti. Mein Bondita se vaada kiya hai. Mein usse kiya hua vaada nhi tod sakti. Woh pehele hi mere wajah se bohot dard mein hai aur..

Madhav: shaant mannu.Hume saavdaani se kaam lena hoga. Aur hume udhar ruke maasoomon ki jaan bhi bachani hai.

Someone heard there conversation.
Madhav saw a shadow but didn't react.
He silently went towards the window and clenched his fist while looking down.

A woman sitting on the Royal Chair,
In her 80s.
Decked with Royal Blue Banarasi Saadi,gold ornaments.
She was giving some solutions to the village people who had come with their problems.

One by one , all the people left.
She sat there with closed eyes as if remembering the past events.

A boy in his 20s walked in.

Woman asked a question without opening her eyes. She was tapping her fingers on the arms of the chair.

Woman : kya khabar laaye ho?

Boy : Nisandhay,woh aapka hi khoon hai.

Woman : kahan hai?

Boy : Roy Chowdhary Haveli.

Woman : hmm. Wahan kyun hai?

Boy : sasuraal hai unka. Badi bahu hai uss ghar ki. Lekin..

Woman stopped tapping her fingers on the arms of the chair and asked with closed eyes : lekin?

Boy : unke pati ne dusra vivaah kiya hai.

Woman clenched her fist but soon calmed herself and again started to tap her finger.

Woman : Aage..

Boy : lekin Maalkin ne jab dekha ki dusra vivaah hua hai toh unhone uss aadmi se saare rishte tod diye.

Woman,with a subtle smile: humari bachi.

Boy: samaaj unhe bojot taane deta hai badi Maalkin. Bohot. Bohot dard Saha hai unhone.

The woman finally opened her eyes and raising her palm,indicated the boy to leave.

She got up from the chair and walked up to a photoframe.

A man standing with a woman who were royal clothes. The woman cladded with ornaments and red lined hair,standing with a little girl of 6 years old.

Woman : Samaaj se zyada humne dard diya hai. Ek galat faisle ne Sab khatam kar diya tha. Ab sahi karne ka samay aa gya hai.
Wiping her tears,she called the head servant of the house.

Woman : Chamcham.

Chamcham : ji maalkin.

Woman : sabko neeche bula lao.

Chamcham: jii.

The family arrived.

A woman in her 50s.

Woman : Maa,kya hua ?

Woman : Lata, humari meethu ka Pata chal gya hai.

The family exchanged happy glances .

John: So I hope aap log aayenge.

Trilochan : nhi.
Binoy : Haan.

John looked at them being confused.

John - Umm, have you guys not decided yet?

Trilochan: arre bhai, hum jeete jaagte insaan hai. Hume gaay kyun banaya?

Batuk and Som hit their forehead while Binoy rolled his eyes.

John: I didn't know that you have an animal. Where is it?

Batuk,whispering: Sir. There is no Animal in the house.

John : then why is he talking about a Cow.

Som : Sir woh kya hai na ki mere Kaka na those purane khayalaat ke hain. Woh insaanon ko gaay samjhte hain.

John : thats pretty interesting.

Betty was sitting all alone being bored.
She saw Bondita and Naina entering.

Betty : Bon-di-ta.

Bondita: hello ma'am, hello sir. How are you?

Betty : we are fine dear. How is your wound.

Bondita: it's completely okay now.

Betty whispering: if you two don't mind can you show me the Mansion.
Between these men's I am getting bored.

Bondita and Naina giggled hearing Betty and nodded in yes.
Betty's eyes gleamed in happiness and she dragged them with her.

Near Bondita's room.

Bondita: Aur yeh hai Mera kamra.

Betty : it's really pretty.

Bondita: haina.

Naina: Aare Betty ji, Bahar se dekhenge kya? Andar aake bhi dekhiye.

Betty: Sure.

Three of them entered.
Betty was amazed to see such beautiful room.
Bondita and Naina excused themselves
to change the clothes.

Betty was looking around the room when she found something on the dressing table.

She picked it up. It was the torn photograph of Anirudh and Bondita.
She was confused, Anirudhs picture was about to fly away when Bondita came in the mean time and held it close to her heart.

Betty : I am sorry, Bondita. I didn't mean to touch your belongings, I was just..

Bondita with a smile : It's okay.

Betty : By the way , isn't that Mr.Anirudh Roy Chowdhary?

Bondita nodded while looking at the picture.

Betty : Is he your husband?

Bondita,with tears : Yes.
Realising what she said,tried to clarify : No, he was. He isn't my husband now.

Betty,confused : If you are married to him , then how come he isn't your husband?

Bondita : Well, I don't want to recall my past. It's really ...

Betty : I understand.
Umm,I shall take your leave.

Bondita: So,soon?

Betty : Actually I don't want to but my two little monkeys are waiting.

Bondita : Why didn't you bring them here?

Betty : Olivia was ill and Elsa didn't want to come without her sister.
They really wanted to meet you .

Bondita: Even I wanted to. They are really sweet you know.

Betty : coming.

Bondita laughed while Betty giving her smile left.

As soon as Betty left Naina entered and said : Arre, Betty ji chali gyi?

Bondita: hmm.

Naina : kya hua tu kahan khoi hui hai.

Bondita: kahin nhi.

Naina : jhoot.

Bondita: nhi toh.

Naina : Shaitaan ki naani, bachpan se jaanti hoon tujhe. Bata kya hua ?

Bondita hiding the photograph: kuch..kuch nhi aise hi.

Naina snatched from her hand and was shocked to see Anirudh's photograph.

Naina : Bondita yeh..

Bondita: chal hume neeche jaana chahiye. Avoiding Naina.

She was about to move away when Naina held her by her elbow and made her sit on the bed.Naina then went and closed the doors.

Naina looked Bondita while Bondita looked away.

Naina : Batayegi?

Bondita: kya bataun?

Naina : yeh tasveer tune ab tak kyun rakhi hai?

Bondita: aree woh mein phekne hi waali thi par dhyaan mein nhi rha.

Naina,raising an eyebrow: Accha?

Bondita : Haan.

Naina : theek hai phir mein peek deti hoon.

Bondita, widening her eyes : kya?

Naina walked and went near the window. She pretended to throw the photograph but Bondita came and snatched it from her hand.

Bondita,shouting : kya kar rhi hai? Pagal ho gyi hai kya?

Naina : kya kar rhi thi? Sahi toh kar rhi thi.

Bondita : kya sahi kar rhi thi? Tum inki tasveer phekne jaa rhi thi.

Naina : Haan toh tujhe kya farak padta hai. Tune toh waise bhi saare rishte tod diye hain.

Bondita, shuttering : kisne kaha?.. abhi humara rishta hai. Guru shishya ka.

Naina : Achaa. Meine aaj tak kisi bhi shishya ko apne guru ke tasveer ko leke itna maalikaanaa hote huye nhi dekha hai. Kyun?

Bondita: aise kuch nhi hai. Bas aise hi.
Said turning away.

Naina : toh kaisi baat hai?

Bondita: kuch nhi hai aisa Naina.

Naina : Toh ek baat bata, tujhe Anirudh babu ko Manorama ke saath dekh dard nhi hota? Bura nhi lagata?

Bondita, looking away : nhi.

Naina: Tujhe sach mein bura nhi lagta ?

Bondita: nhi.

Naina : kisse jhoot bol rhi hai tu Bondita? Apne aap se yaa mujhse?

Bondita: kisi se nhi.

Naina : Acha, theek hai phir. Mein chalti hoon.
And Giving a last look to Bondita, she left with dejected face.

As Naina went, Bondita closed and leaning to the door she cried and uttered.

Bondita, crying: Bohot..bohot bura lagta hai. Bohot dard hota.
Taking the picture and caressing the his face : Chahkar bhi aapse Nafrat nhi kar paa rhi.. Pata nhi kyun, par aisa Lagata hai ki yeh sab aapne..aapne apni marzi se nhi kiya hai. Kyun kiya aisa... kyun ?
Kyun mujhe itna dard diya...

And she cried,pulling her knees close to her chest.

Downstairs,Entrance.

Anirudh entered the haveli and straight away went to his study. He closed the doors and sat on the Sofa.

He took the photoframe which was kept on the table. It was only Bondita's photo.

Caressing the picture he said : Aaj meri jeet ho ke bhi jeet nhi hai.
Tum jo paas nhi ho. Yaad hai kaise mein Jab jeet ke aata tha toh sabse pehele tumhara hi chehra dekhta tha aur tum mujhse bhi zyada khush hoti thi. Aur apne haath se roshogulle khilati thi. Par ab....sirf woh haseen yaadein hi hai. Bohot dard diya hai na? Bas ab yeh dard kuch dinon ka mehmaan hai.Sirf kuch din.

A drop of tears fell on the photoframe which he wiped of gently.

Anirudh: Chanchala, jeet hui hai. Har waqt jab jeet hui hai sabse pehele tumhara chehra hi dekha hai. Kya ab dekh paunga?

His wish was heard by God and a knock made him out of his thoughts.

Wiping off his tears and keeping the photoframe delicately on the table,he made himself presentable and opened the door.

A smile came across his face but soon faked a serious face. He thanked the God in his Mind and asked: kya hua Bondita?

Bondita: woh jaise ki Pata tha ki ek hafte baad Dalhousie jaana tha par bitee din jo hua uske wajah se Admission cancel jo gya tha.

Anirudh: Haan,Pata hai iss baare mein. Par yeh kyu bata rhi ho?

Bondita: School mein exams hai aur waise toh meri taiyaari ho gyi hai par phir bhi man mein kuch sawaal hai. Aap mere shikshak hai isliye..

Anirudh: kitab le aao,samjhata hoon.

Bondita nodded and turn to leave when she heard his scream.

Bondita, worried: kya hua?

Anirudh : woh...

Bondita : kyaa?

Anirudh, pointing towards the floor : Cockroach.

Bondita looked at him as if two horns were grown on his head.

Bondita: kya?

Anirudh: arre dikhayi nhi deta kya? Cockroach.

Bondita: mujhe saaf saaf dikhayi de rha hai. Do do cheezen.

Anirudh, confused: Do cheezen? Matlab.

Bondita: ek cockroach,dusri aapki harkatein. Coackroch ko aapse darna chahiye par aap hain ki..

Anirudh: Arre cockroach kyun mujhse daregi.

Bondita : kyunki aap rakshas hai.

Anirudh: mein..mein rakshas?

Bondita: sunnai nhi deta kya? Rakshas...

Anirudh: sunai deta hai lekin mein raks  .... he stopped abruptly and stood like a stone.

Bondita: kya hua bolti kyu band ho gyi?

Anirudh gestured her something from his eyes but Bon couldn't comprehend what was he saying.

Bondita : Girgit ke tarah aakhein kya ghuma rhe hain,mooh hai bola na.

Anirudh,whispering: Mera kandhaa..

Bondita: kyaa?

Anirudh, little loudly: Mera kandhaa.

Bondita looked at his shoulder and uttered : oh maa durga!

Anirudh: arre durga maa kya karegi tum kuch Karona.

Bondita: mein kya kar sakti hoon.

Anirudh: kya kar sakti hoon Matlab,isse hatao.

Bondita: ruko,bhari Kaka ko bula ke laati hoon.

Anirudh: arre tumahre bhari Kaka ke aate aate yeh cockroach mere kaan mein ghus gya toh?

Bondita: toh aapka dimag kha lega.
Waise bhi nhi hai.

Anirudh: Bondita kuch karo,yeh mere kaan ke paas aa rha hai.

Bondita sighed deeply and went near him. Standing close to him,she leaned to his neck and removed the cockroach.
Bondita: hat gya.
Anirudh was lost in different world. He never saw Bondita this close.

On the top floor,which leads to Bondita's previous room.

Batuk: humara kaam ho gya.

Som : hmm.waise yeh nakli cockroach kahan se aaya?

Batuk : mere dost ne diya.

Som : are you sure woh nakli tha?

Batuk : Haan kyun?

Som : apna kandhaa dekh.

Batuk looked and widened his eyes.

Batuk : yeh..cockroach..udta bhi hai?

Som controlled his laugh.
Batuk was about to shout when Som kept his hand on his. He gestured him to shut his mouth. He removed the cockroach and both sighed deeply.

Kya kar rhe hain aap log? - Naina from behind.

Som - Naina..

Batuk : boudi.. woh..

Naina walked away giving them a furious look.

Som gestured Batuk to go to his room and he himself walked behind Naina.

Som : Naina,meri baat toh suno..

Naina : kuch nhi sunna mujhe.

She went inside her room and stood near the window.

Som came inside and locked the door.
Som : Naina..

Naina threw a pillow on him.

Naina : Aap khud ko Bondita ke bhai batate hain. Aapki behen kitne dard aur  takleef mein hai,yeh aapko dikhayi nhi de rha?

She threw another pillow to which Som dodged it.

Som : Naina...

She turned away and said : ohh sorry Aap toh Anirudh babu ke bhai hai. Aap toh unhe ko support karenge na. Chahe galat ho yaa sahi...

She turned towards him only to find her close to him.

Naina : aap..

Som : shh. Kitna bolti ho tum. Rukne ka naam hi nhi leti.

Naina: par...

Som held her face with both of his hands and said : shaant ho jao baba. Hum yeh sab jaan buch kar isliye kar rhe the kyunki hume shak hai ki dada ne yeh vivaah apni marzi se nhi kiya balki majboori mein kiya hai.

Naina : par dada kyun kisi se majboor honge.

Som : wahi jaane ke liye toh hum dada aur boudi ko paas laa rhe hain.

Naina,tearful eyes : par isse dukh aur dard dono ko ho rha hai na.

Wipeing her tears,Som said : jaanta hoon. Par ab yahi ek raasta hai sach ko bahaar laane ka.

Naina : kuch galat toh nhi hoga na, Mera man bohot ghabra rha hai .

Som: shaant. Kuch nhi hoga.

Naina pinching her throat like Bondita : shotti?

Som, smiling: shotti.

Naina hugged him and Som caressed her hairs.

In study.

Not getting response from him she looked at him only to get lost in his face.
They were looking at eachother with many emotions. Both of their heartbeats beating fastly but synced together. Bondita was known to her emotions but Anirudh wasn't. He never felt like this for anyone. Heck with anyone,he didn't even feel like this for Saudamini. For the first time he blushed.He saw that Bondita was also blushing and couldn't help but smile. Bondita on the other hand was surprised to see him blush.She felt her cheeks warn and found out that she is blushing. She was about to move back when she felt his palm on her cheek.
She got lost in his touch and her vision blurred. Anirudh panicked seeing her tearful eyes and was about to move away his hand when he felt her hand holding his. Anirudh closed his eyes and felt her hand holding his palm,after a long time.

They came out of their trance,when Madhav came to call Anirudh for dinner.

Madhav : Anirudh woh..

Bondita opened her eyes and realized what she was doing.
She jerked away his hand and giving a last look to Anirudh she went away.

Madhav: I am sorry, I didn't mean to.

Anirudh wiping off his tears, nodded in no and asked : Kya hua? Kuch kaam?

Madhav : woh Kaka khaana khaane ke liye bula rhe the.

Anirudh: mujhe bhook nhi hai. Tum jao.

Madhav : Anirudh lekin..

Anirudh: madhav jao.please.

Madhav sighed and went away.

Dining table.

Binoy : koyli jao jaake Bondita ko bulaa lao.

Koyli was about to leave when Bihari uttered : Mein gya tha par unhone kaha ki unhe bhook nhi hai.

Kaka : bhook nhi hai?

Bihari: Haan.

Binoy : woh theek toh hai na ?

Bihari : Pata nhi maalik,ajeeb bartaav kar rhi thi. Unhone kaha ki unhe bhook nhi hai aur woh soh gyi.

The trio exchanged glances and sighed.

Binoy looking at three : tum teeno kuch Pata hai?

Trio : Nhi toh.

Binoy was suspicious but sighed and had his food.

In Bondita's room.

The room was completely dark.
Bondita was sitting near the bed, knees pulled to her chest and crying leaning to the bed.

Bondita: jab jab aapse door Jane ka sochti hoon,tab tab kyun paas chale aate hain aap? Aapko yeh samjh nhi aata ki aap paas aate hain toh...toh mujhe kitni takleef hoti hai. Kitna dard hota hai. Aap.. aapko aisa lagta hai ki mein aapse pyaar nhi karti? Mera pyaar moh hai? Nhi hai Mera pyaar moh.. she started to throw everything .

Kyun tum samajh paaye hi nhi

Bondita looked at the Krishna's idol and taking it she asked him - kyun? She held the torn photograph and kanhaa's idol together and cried harder.

Anirudh was lying on the sofa , holding Bondita's photograph close to his heart and looking at the ceiling blankly.

He picked up the photograph and looked at Bondita's face. Caressing it he utterd- kaise bataun mein tumhe?

Sambhav nahi hote kabhi
Yahan prashnon  ke uttar sabhi

He remembered her crying and dejected face,to be precise Heartbroken.

Tumko Kadachit tumhe yeh lag rha

Anirudh came out of the study and ran to Bondita's room. Here in Bondita's room,Bondita stood up and thought to get her Answers today itself.Anirudh reached the her room and was about to push it when stopped. Bondita too stopped near the door.

Something stopped them,which they didn't know.

Both leaned to the door and keeping a hand on their mouth they cried .

In Greenwood Mansion.

Chief security: Sir,was it necessary to send them away?

John,with closed eyes : I can't risk their lives Adam. They are my life.

Chief : but sir what if something happens?

John,narrowing his eyes : For God's sake can you say something positive? Nothing will happen to them. Even after I die.

Chief: sorry sir.

John : Btw, what are you doing here? Don't you have to go to visit your grandmother?

Chief: I do ,but your safety is much more important for me.

John : hey hey. It's totally fine. You can go.

Chief: but sir, it's ma'ams order, I have to follow.. you know she is the super boss.

John : you.. okay fine, do as you want. Now go and rest.

John : I want to rest Adam.

The chief security left the place. John went and closed the door. He went towards the family picture and uttered : I won't let anything happen to you all.

He then went to bed and slept hugging his family photograph.

Next Morning.
In RC Haveli.

It was quite morning in the Haveli.
For some reason Kaka,Binoy and Bondita weren't having a good feeling. As if something bad is going to happen.

Binoy was sitting idle on the sofa. He didn't read the newspaper nor had his English tea. He was sitting lost.

Trilochan kaka in the mandir,was doing the Pooja silently. He lit the diya and after doing the rest of the Pooja he left and sat beside Binoy. He started chanting the garland.

Bondita in her room was getting ready for school but was lost somewhere.She didn't have a good feeling.Calming her self she picked up her bag and was about to move away when something fell. Turned to look,and her eyes widened.

Her Sindoor Daani fell,scattering the sindoor all over the floor.
Throwing the bag away,she started to collect the sindoor and again keeping it back on the box.

Tears fell down and she whispered: pati babu.

She decended the stairs lost somewhere. Naina snapped her fingers in front of her brought her back from her world.

Naina : kahan khoyi hui hai? School nhi chalna.

Bondita meekly nodded and Naina dragged her.

After School.

Naina and Batuk were laughing among themselves. Bondita didn't join them and was lost in her own thanking. She was repeatedly thinking about morning incident.

Naina and Batuk turned to see her lost. They called her and Bondita as if coming back from her dreamland ,nodded and was coming towards them when she stumbled on a stone.

Naina and Batuk : Bondita!

But to Bondita's surprise she didn't fall. Someone had held her.
Bondita looked up to find that, a pair of brown eyes looking at her.

Person: aap theek hai?

Bondita: Haan,thank you.

Person: my pleasure.

The person found Bondita familiar.
He came back from his trance ,when he heard someone calling the girl : Bondita.

Bondita after whispering a quick thank you ran to Naina and Batuk.

Person : Bondita?! He saw something fallen on the ground. He picked it up and ran to a near by lodge where he was staying with his brother.

Person entering a room : Dada. Dec dada.

Dev : Bol Raghav.

Raghav showed the thing to Dev .
Dev took it from him and said : Tu Choti se mila?

Raghav wiping his tears,smilingly said : takraya tha.

Dev nodded.

Raghav : humari choti kitni badi aur pyaari ho gyi hai dada.

Dev smiling: Haan.

In RC Haveli.
6:00 pm.

Anirudh Manorama Madhav were getting ready for the party.
Anirudh didn't want to but he had been forced by his father to go.
Manorama and Madhav for their mission.Bondita came down the stairs.
Four of them were lost in their thinking.

They came in front of eachother.
Manorama smiled at her but to her surprise Bondita hugged her.
Manorama hugged her back with a smile.

Anirudh gave a smile to Madhav and Madhav did the same.

Breaking the hug,Bondita looked at Anirudh who was already looking at her.
He smiled and today Bondita gave him a gentle smile.

Anirudh: hum chalte hain.

Madhav and Manorama nodded and went outside.

Anirudh: umm,Bondita Kaka ko boldena na ki hum nikal rhe hain.

Bondita meekly nodded.
As Anirudh turned ,Bondita with tears said : Aapka jaana zaroori hai. Mat jayiye na.

Anirudh: Bondita kya hua? Aisi baatein kyun kar rhi ho.

Bondita making herself normal and saying : mujhe kya hoga? Woh Kaka keh rhe the. Isliye.

Anirudh: Kaka se mein baat kar chuka hoon. Mein chalta hoon.
And went away.

Bondita wanted to stop him but couldn't.  She just prayed to Durga Maa for his and others safety.

In Greenwood's Party.

Everyone was running here and there. The krantikaari's were half successful in their plan. They were able to kill Viceroy but not Greenwood. Greenwood hadn't come in the party which enraged the Krantikaari but for now they had to escape. Already they lost 3 krantikaari's.
And the other three after a successful plan fled away.

Kaka : Anirudh ab tak aaya kyun nhi ?

Binoy : Aa jayega da. Chinta mat karo.

But both the fathers were tensed.

A villager ,running inside injured : Maalik. Maalik.

Kaka : arre Manoj. Kya hua aise haanf kyun rahe ho?

Manoj : Chote Maalik..

Bondita from behind : kya hua pati..Mera Matlab Barrister babu ko?

Manoj : Angrezz afsar unhe giraftaar kar le gyi hai.

Bondita, utterd slowly : kya?

Kaka enraged: aise kaise?

Manoj : Manorama jii krantikaari.. krantikaari hai.
And he collapsed.

Binoy : aaree Manorama krantikaari hai toh isme humare bacche ki kya galti?

But Bondita didn't care about it and throwing the plate away ran outside.

In the jail.

Anirudh was standing inside the jail.
2 British officers entered the cell and started to ask him questions.

Officer 1 : Where is your wife?

Officer 2 screaming: Answer us.

Anirudh, calmly: I don't know where she is.

Officer 1 : look we are asking you respect fully, tell us where she is and we will let you go.

Anirudh: meri jaan hi kyun na le lo Mera jawab yahi hoga. Mujhe nhi Pata woh kahan hai. Aur agar Pata bhi hota toh mein nhi bataunga.

Officer 2 : Aise jawab nhi doge na, you bloody Indian.

Anirudh, smirking : Angrezi seekhne ka kya fayda. Huamre desh mein aake humari hi bhasha seekhni padi. Isn't it sad?

Officer 1 : you...

Officer 2 : wait a minute , Robin. Havaldaar. Havaldaar.

Havaldaar : Yes sir.

Officer 1 : In hindustaani janab ko zara sabak sikhana. But don't kill him.

Havaldaar : yes sir.

Officer 1 went away.
Officer 2 came and whispered yo havaldaar : jawab naa de,toh jaan se maar dena.

Havaldaar nodded and went inside.

A large scream echoed know the whole police station but no one payed heed to it. Some felt bad,some were neutral and some didn't care.

The two officers were busy chatting when Bondita entered.

Bondita: payi babu.
She was searching for Anirudh but didn't fine him.

She looked at the officers and went to them.

Bondita: excuse me sir.

Officer 1 : yes. How can we help you?

Bondita: sir my husband is here.

Officer 2 : I am sorry we didn't get you?

Bondita closed her eyes,let out a sigh and said : Sir, my husband has been dragged here in the police station, unnecessarily.

Officer 1,raising an eyebrow: and why is that so?

Bondita: Some krantikaari attacked the building but My husband has been accused for it. He is innocent sir Trust me.

Officer 2 : My gosh, Mr Roy Chowdhary had married two times.
Officer 1 and 2 looked at Bondita and then at eachother and laughed.

Officer 1 : are you an idiot? Why are you saving him?

Bondita: I am sorry ,I didn't get you.

Officer 2 : look,Mr Anirudh Roy Chowdhary has been arrested because his second wife was a krantikaari. If he says her whereabouts then we can leave him.

Bondita: Sir ,please ...

Officer 2 : okay fine,we can help you if you only help us.

Bondita looked at him.

Near Anirudh's cell.

Havaldaar panting in sweat : Bohot moti chamdi ka hai re tu?  Itna maara, ek lafz mooh se nhi bola.

Anirudh's white shirt was drenched with blood,hands and legs bleeding, a slight cut on his left cheek,arms bleeding but a smile not leaving his face.

Havaldaar 2 : dekh,sach bata dee aur jaan bacha le.

Anirudh, spitting blood : Desh ke liye jaan de doon toh manzoor hai par kisi masoom ko phasa doon yeh manzoor nhi.

Havaldaar 1 : maasoom? Arre pagal maanush na ki?

Havaldaar 2 : Arre teri patni ne Viceroy ka khoon kiya hai. Kisliye ?

Anirudh: desh ko azaad karne ke fitoor mein.

Havaldaar 1 : yeh aise nhi manega. Teri..

Stop - British officer 1.

Havaldaar 1 and 2 : Sir hum bas...

British officer 2 : Aage ka kaam yeh karegi.

Anirudh thinking: yeh karegi? Bondita? Nahi..

Bondita came in light and she stood like a stone seeing him in this state.

Behind her,his whole family was standing and crying.

The Havaldaar left and the family came and urged Anirudh to say the truth. Anirudh dragged his lifeless body towards the family members.

Kaka : Anirudh, beta sach bata dee na .

Binoy : Haan, Anirudh bata dena.

Anirudh nodded in no.

Batuk crying vigorously: Dada please bata do. Apni halat dekho dada . Sach bata do na.

Anirudh wiped batuks tears and said : chote zamindaar. Yaad hai na Kaka kya kehte hai,Zamindaar ko rona shobha nhi deta. Don't cry and only smile.

Som and Naina cryingly uttered: Dada...

Anirudh closed his eyes in relief after he heard them calling him dada after a long time.

Anirudh: dekho tum dono,apna aur bondita ka aur pure parivaar ka khayal rakho. Mujhe nhi Pata ki mein jee paunga..

Bondita scream: Chup. Bilkul chup.

The family turned and looked at eachother. They decided to leave the couple alone.

The officer who was silently watching all this, top decided to leave the couple all alone.

Bondita coming and holding Anirudh's collars. The bars was only a mere thing which was separating them.

Bondita: meine kaha tha mere zindagi ke faisle lene ka haq meine kisiko ko nhi diya hai. Toh aap meri zindagi se jaane ka faisla kaise le sakte hain?

She left the collars and fell down on her knees and cried.

Anirudh too fell on his knees and taking his hand put of the bar,he held her face : tum jab tak ho mujhe kuch ho sakta hai kya bhala?

Bondita,holding his hand and crying : mein aapke bina kuch nhi hoon.
Please. Sach bata dijiye na , ki Manorama kahan hai. Please.
And leaned to the bars.

Anirudh too leaned to the bars,their foreheads touching.
He whispered: nhi bondita. Mein nhi bata sakta. Mein kisi maasoom ki jaan khatre mein nhi daal sakta.

Bondita: par..

Anirudh: shh..abhi aur mat bolo. Aise hi rehne do. Kuch der ke liye hi sahi hum thodi der ek saath nhi reh sakte?

Bondita: aap kahin nhi jayenge mujhe chodkar. Samjhe.

They cried silently their forehead touching and tight hold in their hands.

The family watched this and cried. The two officers were also watching this. Even their eyes watered but they had orders. They can't do anything.

The second officers gestured something to the havaldaar .

The havaldaar came and separated Bondita from Anirudh .
Their hands separating, Bondita screamed : Birristerra babu...

Anirudh smiled with tears and whispered to himself: I Love You..

The havaldaar dragged Bondita and pushed her in front of the family. Before she could fall,som held her.

Som marched towards the havaldaar and held him by his collars : Meri behen ko dhaka dene ki himmat kaise hui? Kaise hui?

Bondita didn't care about it and went outside.

She saw a small mandir.
Walking to it ,she asked Her Kanha ji : Hay kanha jii. Aap toh apne bhakton ki madat karte hai na. Toh meri madat kyun nhi kar rhe? Kijiye na madat.

And she fell down on her knees.

Kanha ji heard her and she heard some officers whispering: sir John Greenwood, abhi port ke liye nikal gye hai.

Bondita: Greenwood.
She remembered something and ran aimlessly on the road.
As soon as she left, a man dressed ji black,long beard , a pagdi , a gold chain on his neck, wearing sunglasses came and stood infront of the police station.
He called one of the havaldaar, gave a letter and fled away.

The Havaldaar came inside the cell and gave the letter to the officers.

Letter,

Usko chod do.
Uska insab se koi lena dena nhi hai.
Agar mujhe pakadna hi hai toh aankhein ghuma aur dhoond.

Krantikaari.

This letter enraged the officer and he ordered the havaldaar.

Officer: havaldaar.

Havaldaar: yes sir.

Officer : beat him till he dies.

Havaldaar: yes.

The family gasped in shock.
Kaka didn't understand the meaning and asked - yeh afsar kya keh rha hai?

The family kept quiet.

Kaka : Arre hum kuch pooch rhe hai. Kou batayegi hume?

Naina : Kaka sasoor ji...yeh log..yeh log dada ko..Dada ko tab tak..tab tak maarne ko keh rhe hai..jab tak woh..
woh..

Kaka : woh woh kya kar rhi ho,jaldi bolo.

Naina : jab tak woh marte....she kept kept hand on her mouth and ran outside.

Kaka was shocked. He couldn't take it anymore and fainted.

Binoy and batuk helped Kaka and took him to the house.

Yet again a scream echoed in the whole police station.

Som closed his eyes in frustration and kicked a chair.

He came to the officer and directly looking at his eyes said : Mere Dada ko kuch bhi hua,toh anjaam acha nhi hoga.

Officer: you Indian. You are speaking looking at our eyes. How dare you?

He punched Som.

Soms lips bleeded but he smiled and said : mere dada kehte hai, kabhi kisi ka pachtava nhi karna chahiye. Specially jab tum sahi ho.
You will regret your actions.

Officer: you..

Som expected another punch but when he didn't feel it,he opened his eyes only to see Naina Standing in front of him.

Naina : Mere pati pe haath uthane ki keemat bohot bhari padegi.

He jerked off his hand and said : aindaa se aisa karne se pehele soch lena.

Som : Naina..

Naina looked at him with tearful eyes.

Officer : Havaldaar.
Woh ab tak Mara yaa nhi.?

Havaldaar: sir woh kuch ugalne ko taiyaar hi nhi hai.

Officer: kill him.

The whole police station gasped in shock.

Som  : you can't do this.

Officer screaming: I said kill him.

Havaldaar didn't move.

Officer yelled in frustration and taking a gun he went to the cell.

The whole cell was filled with splattered blood.

He entered the cell and smiled evilly.

Officer : Time to die Mr.Roy Chowdhary.

He aimed the gun at Anirudh and Anirudh smiled with closed eyes and uttered in his mind : I love You Bondita. Tumhare pati babu ko tumse pyaar ho gya hai.

He opened his eyes and said : Vande Mataram.

Before The officer could shoot a loud echoed.

" Stop. He has nothing to do with all this."

Officer, widening his eyes : Sir.

John: I said he has nothing to do with all this. Leave him.

Officer : but sir, that krantikaari is his wife and ..

John : Do as I say or else you won't be able to see your family members that too for the last time.

Officer bowed his head down and left the cell.

John looked at Anirudh who can get unconscious anytime.

John ran to him and held him.

Anirudh, whispering: Bondita....Bondita kaha..kahan hai.

John : waiting outside. Chaliye.

John took Anirudh out.

As soon as Anirudh's and Bondita's eyes met , Anirudh smiled .

He forwarded his hand.
Bondita was about to grab it when, he fell down.

Bondita screamed : Pati babu..

Anirudh let out a sigh as he heard those two words which he wanted to hear. Hearing those words he became unconscious.

In RC Haveli.

Kaka : hume humare bache ke paas jana hai. Woh theek nhi hai.

Binoy : da ,shaant ho jayiye please.

Kaka : shaant ho jayen? Kaise shaant ho jayen? Arre humara bacha wahan unn dusht angrezon ke beech hai. Tumhe koi pariah hai bhi ya nhi?

Binoy, shouting: Pitah  hoo uska . Parva hai. Jaata nhi Pata iska yeh Matlab nhi ki parva nhi hai. Hai parva..(his voice choking).. bohot hai.

Batuk: aap dono please chup ho jayiye. Please.

Som,Bondita and Naina entered the haveli with Unconscious Anirudh.
The nurses and doctor behind them.

The family rushed to him but Bondita cleared the way and took him to the room.

The doctor asked the family to stay outside .

After sometime.

The family was impatiently waiting for the doctor to come out.

Batuk came and handed something to Bondita: boudi. Yeh patra.. Manorama didi ne bheja hai.

Bondita looked at the letter and asked Batuk to read.

Letter:

Priya Bondita,

Jaanti hoon mujhse bohot naraaz hogi.
Hona bhi chahiye. Meine tumse tumhara pati jo cheen liya. Mera yakeen karo mein aisa nhi karna chahta thi. Mujhe mere muhim ke liye yeh nakli shaadi karni padi.Tumhare pati babu yeh vivaah nhi karna chahte the. Woh bhi majboor the. Unhone yeh vivaah.. tumhe patni dharm ke raaste se nikalne ke liye kiya.

Unke dil aue dimag mein sirf tum ho. Sirf tum. Tumhe aur tumhare patibabu ko koi alag nhi kar sakta. Bhagwaan bhi nhi.

Apne Pati Babu ko maaf kardo Bondita.
Maana jo raasta apnaya woh galat tha par jo kiya tumahre liye kiya. Tumhe dard dekar woh khud dard seh rhe hain.

Maaf kardo Bondita. Maaf kardo. Aue Haan yeh chitti tumhare pati babu ne hi kaha tha likhne ko. Agar bharosa na ho,toh unki diary mein padhlo.

Tumhari
Manorama.

Bondita ran inside the study and took the diary and sat there being numb. Uncontrollable tears were falling from her eyes.
Family when heard the what the letter was being sent gasped in shock and cried.

Bondita: unhone mere liye...mere liye yeh kiya? Itna dard....

Mein jahan thi
Tum the wahan
Phir bhi tumne kuch na kaha

She pulled her knees closed to her chest,leaned to the pillar and cried.
She remembered how she how rudely she behaved with him but he calmly reacted to everything.

Mere moh ko
Mere krodh ko
Bas prem se tumne Sahaa

She read the diary.She had got answers of all her questions.

Uttar mere sabhi prashnon ka
Tumne de diya kanhaa
Samajh mein paayin naa

Bondita cried hugging the diary.

Mein thi jahan
Tum the wahan
Phir bhi tumne kuch na kaha

Bondita: I am sorry, mein bohot .. bohot dukh aur dard diya hai...

Jisse mei prem kehti rahi
Usse moh tumne kaha
Phir krodh mein aake tumhe
Dukh Dard meine de diyaaa

Bondita: par aap chup kyun rahe? Bola kyun nhi kuch ?
And cried even harder.

Tum chup rahe
Kuch na kahe
Har prashnon ka uttar hai
Tumne de diyaa .

Som called and said : Boudi. Dada ka check up ho gya hai. Doctor ne kaha hai ki kal subha tak unhe hosh aa jayega.
Hum unse mil sakte hai. Sabse pehele aap miliye..

Bondita ran out of the study and was about to step inside His room when
a voice came from behind: Ruk jao Bondita.

Tbh this is the most emotional chapter I have written till yet. I think so. Hehe
