In the hospital.

John and Betty were waiting for the doctor while Olivia and Elsa were taken  inside the medical room as they got minor injuries.

Soon the Roy Chowdhary family came and bombarded the nurse with questions.
As the nurse ,replied Anirudh ran towards the ward room and stood there.

Binoy came behind him to calm him down but as he saw John there his eyes widened.

Binoy - Mr. John Greenwood.

John - yeah. Do I know you?

Binoy - I am afraid you don't. Well my daughter is inside... I mean... is she fine? Binoy asked with tearful eyes.

John keeping a hand on Binoys shoulders - Doctor's are treating her. She will be fine. Have faith on Jesus.

Doctor came out and said- Aap log ko shukar manana chahiye ki unhe goli choo kar lagi hai. Anyway she is fine. Needs complete rest for 1 week. Also she is unconscious right now.

Everyone sighed in relief. Kaka who didn't understand doctors words, asked  batuk about it to which he explained.

Anirudh- kya mein mil sakta hoon?

Doctor - aap kon?

Anirudh- I am her husband.

Doctor- Sure,you can.

Anirudh- thank you so much.
He rushed inside without any delay but as soon as he entered his heart clenched and tears fell down which he was holding till now. He took baby steps towards her.
Bonditas arm was fully bandaged and her forehead was covered with bandage. Probably while saving the girls she had hurt herself at the head too.
Her face was pale.

He went near her and sat on the stool.
He held her hand very delicately and silently looked at her.
A drop of tears fell on her hand and she stirred in her sleep,gaining consciousness.

Som entered and saw Anirudh.

Som : Mr.Roy Chowdhary, ek baat puchun?

Anirudh meekly nodded, eyes not leaving Bondita's face.

Som : Chot toh Bondita ko lagi hai, aansun aapke kyun nikal rhe hain?

Anirudh, with tearful eyes and subtle smile - Bondita ko chot lagegi, toh mujhe dard nhi hoga kya?

Som expected this answer.He was happy but didn't show it on his face. He gave a nod and left the room with content smile.

As she opened her eyes, the first person she saw was Anirudh.
She saw his tearful eyes.
A thought crossed her mind - Does he really care for me? Tear rolled down but Anirudh gently wiped it ,nodding in no.
They had an emotional eyelock for 5 mins which was disturbed by Kaka and other family members.

The family members asked several questions to Bondita to which she calmly replied but Anirudh didn't leave her hand for once.

Near a Godown

Madhav ,calmly : kya tumne unn bachiyon par goli chalayi thi?

His saathi kept mum.

Manorama,shouting - chalayi thi ya nahi?

His saathi - Haan par Pata nhi woh ladki beech mein kahan se aa gyi? Agar nhi aati na toh unn bachiyon ko maar...

Manorama slapping Her saathi- kaha tha na ki hum Maasumon ki jaan nhi lenge. Kyun kiya phir?

Saathi,shouting- Kyunki woh Angrezz hain. Aur mujhe koi pachtawa nhi hai meine jo kiya.

Madhav walking towards him, held his collar and saying in his cold voice- agar Bondita ko kuch bhi hua ,mein bhool jaunga ki tum kon ho aur mein jo karunga woh koi nhi karega.
Saying this he jerked him off.

Other saathi- Jo isne kiya woh sarasar galat tha par ek baat hum yeh nhi bhool sakte ki hum jo chah rhe the hume woh mil jayega.

Manorama - kya Matlab?

Saathi - Greenwood ki party.

Madhav and Manorama looked at him while the first saathi smirked.

In the hospital.

The family left the couple. Well because Binoy and Kaka saw that Anirudh wanted to confront Bondita but couldn't do it because of the family members.
The twin brothers looked at eachother and keeping their anger aside they had left so that Anirudh could to talk with Bondita.

After a silence of 5 mins, Anirudh finally started a conversation.

Anirudh- kaisi ho?

Bondita- Zinda hoon.

Anirudh- Aise kyun baat kar rhi ho.

Bondita- anjaane se aise hi baat karte hain.

Anirudh- mein anjaane hoon tumhare liye?

Bondita- hum humesha se anjaane the.  Vivaah ke pehele bhi, vivaah ke baad bhi.

Anirudh- hum dost bhi toh the na.

Bondita- woh meri zindagi ka sabse galat faisla tha.

Anirudh- toh liya kyun?

Bondita- Naadan thi, bharosa kiya aur le liya.

Anirudh- itni naaraaz ho?

Bondita - narazgi apnon se rakhte hain,parayon se nhi.

Anirudh- meine tumhe akela kar diya?

Bondita- nhi toh. Ulta aapka mujhe chodna vardaan saabit hua. Puchenge nhi kyun?

Anirudh- kyun?

Bondita- kyun mujhe ek aise insaan se chootkara mila jo mujhe kabhi chahta hi nhi tha. Chahat ek taraf se thi isliye jo rishta tha woh toot gya. Umeed tooti, rishta toota ,bharosa toota. Aur mein humesha ke liye ek aise rishte se aazaad hui jo kabhi shayad mere liye bana hi nhi tha.

Anirudh- mein majboor tha.

Bondita- kaisi majboori? Jiske liye aapko apna rishta daav par lagana pada.

Anirudh- Samay aane se pehele mein kuch nhi bata sakta.

Bondita- aur woh samay kab aayega?

Anirudh- Jab Samay khud hume iske liye chunega.

Bondita- aur agar samay haath se chala gya toh.

Anirudh- toh mein khud samay ko chunkar, sab bataunga.

Bondita looked at him as tears fell down from her eyes,while Anirudh wiped her tears gently , tears falling down from his eyes too.

They looked at eachother with undefined emotions. Though Bondita was angry and heartbroken because of Anirudh, she didn't object when he held her hand firmly. Instead a gush of relief ran inside her body. When she looked into his eyes ,she still felt Anirudh was with her and will always be.

For Anirudh it was a heartbreaking moment because of Bondita's accusations.Well he didn't mind that but because he knew that some or the other day he had to face it. He instead held her hand firmly to which bondita didn't object , made him smile a little.

A knock interrupted them. Wiping their tears,Anirudh asked to come in.

As the doors opened , Olivia and Elsa ran towards Bondita.

Olivia - Hello Aunty.

Bondita, smiling- hello. Are you both okay?

Elsa - yes ,we are . Thanx to you Aunty.
How are you?

Bondita- I am fine dear.

Betty and John entered the room with hesitation.
Betty and John when saw Bondita in that condition, were shocked.
Betty hesitantly came and held bonditas hands and said- Thank you so much. You don't know what you did for us. By saving our daughters, you saved our lives.

Bondita, smiling- it's not a big deal.
I know the pain when a Mother and Daughter get separated. (Remembered about sumati).

John - Mr.Roy Chowdhary, a well known hot headed Barrister.
Am I right?

Anirudh - yes.

John- I must say , your wife is very courageous. I mean who puts their life at stake for others. You are very lucky to have her.

Hearing John, bonditas smile faded.

Anirudh, smiling- Indeed I am .

Bondita got shocked when she heard Anirudh.

Elsa and Olivia - please pick us up and let us sit beside Aunty.

Betty - No dear , she is not well right now. Let her rest. Some other time.

Olivia and Elsa,whining- Mom it will just take a min. Please .

Betty- John you only handle your kids.

John - Hey they aren't only my kids. They are yours too.

Betty - Do you wanna sleep outside the bedroom ?

John - Fine I will make them understand.

Bondita and Anirudh smiled looking at them .

Bondita- it's completely okay Ma'am.

Anirudh picked up Elsa in his arms and made her sit on the side of Bondita's bed. Elsa leaned and kissed Bondita's cheeks while Bondita in return smiled.
Same with Olivia.

Greenwood asked the security to take care of Betty and His two daughters properly. He sent them house .

John - Umm, Mrs. Roy Chowdhary.

Bondita- sorry to interrupt but it's Miss Bondita Das.

John looked at Anirudh, while Anirudh turned away his face. Anirudh excused himself and went outside.

John- okay Miss.Das , I wanted to ask something. Can I?

Bondita- Ek britisher ko ek hindustaani se sawal puchne ke liye permission maangte huye pehli baar dekh rhi hoon. It's a surprise you know.

John,lightly smiling- Saare britishers Cold hearted nhi hote.

Bondita, smiling- Indeed. Ask what you wanted to.

John - Aap ek Hindustaani hote huye bhi ek angrezz ke bachon ko bachaya? Why?

Bondita- Saare Hindustaani cold hearted nhi hote. Meine uss samay Kon angrez kon hindustani hai nhi dekha. Bas ek insaan ke roop mein dekha. Jisne bhi hamla kiya ,sarasar galat tha. Insaan ko insaaniyat nhi bhoolne chahiye. Insaan insaaniyat bhool jaye toh insaan kehelane layak nhi rehta.

John - Your thinking is different from others.

Bondita- Even you are different from others. End of the day not everyone would have the same thinking na.

John - Indeed. Well I shall take your leave, my three monkeys would be waiting for me.

Bondita, laughing- Alright.

John , was about to leave when he turned and said - Whenever you need help, just ask for me. I will help you.

Bondita- You will help an Indian?

John - You also helped me by saving my daughters.This is nothing in front of that.

Bondita nodded and John giving a smile left from there.

Near the godown.

Saathi 1 : Abhi khabar mili hai ki Woh ladki theek hai.

Manorama : tumhe kahan se Pata chala?

Saathi 2 : wahan pe humara ek saathi nurse ke taur pe kaam karta hai.

Manorama nodded . She saw madhav was lost somewhere.

Manorama : kya hua Madhav? Kya soch rhe ho.

Madhav : Bondita ko Pata hai.

Manorama: kya ?

Madhav : ki mein ek krantikaari hoon.

Manorama, shocked : kya?

Madhav sighed and nodded.

Manorama- kabse?

Madhav : Aaj dopahar.

Manorama: woh kisi ko..

Madhav , with a light smile : woh kisi ko nhi batayegi.

Saath 2 : tumhe itna kaise bharosa hai uspe?

Madhav: Sakha ko humesha apni sakhi pe bharosa rahega.

Saathi 1 and saathi 2 looked at eachother while Manorama gently smiled.

In the hospital.

After John left, Bondita slept for a while due to the medicines. Anirudh was sitting there silently looking at her. He held her hand and intertwined his palm with her. Soon he also drifted to sleep sitting by her side.

After 5 mins the door opened and Madhav and Manorama entered the room. Seeing the couple, a smile came on their faces, but seeing Bonditas condition, tears fell down from their eyes. They silently walked towards her.
Madhav couldn't help but held her other hand and caressed her hairs. But not able to control anymore , he started to sniff. He walked out of the room and sat in the balcony , pulling his knees close to his chest and started to cry.

Madhav: I am sorry.I am sorry ki meine tumse kiya hua vaada nhi nibha paya...and cried.

Here Manorama, was silently looking at Bondita. She leaned and kissed her forehead.

Manorama, her voice breaking : Meine tumhe bohot dard diya hai na. Mujhe maaf kardo. Lekin vaada karti hoon,yeh sab bas bohot jald khatam ho jayega aur aur mein humesha ke liye tumhe aur tumahre pati babu ki zindagi chod kahin door chali jaungi. Chali jaungi door...
She too left the room and went to the balcony.

There she saw ,Madhav crying.
She sat near him and kept a hand on his shoulder.

Madhav hugged her and said : Mein vaada nhi nibha paya manu.. nhi nibha paya.

Manorama: shh. Sab theek ho jayega. Tum shaant ho jao.

They sat like this for a while.

Nurse who was passing by ,saw and said : Madhav sir..

Madhav ,turned away his face wiped his tears ,stood up and said with a subtle smile: Yes.

Nurse : Aap theek hai na ? Aap ro rhe the?

Madhav- Haan mein theek hoon, bas apni dost ki yaad aa rhi thi. Woh theek nhi hai. Bohot dard mein hai.

Nurse : Dont worry sir sab theek ho jayega. Unka dard bohot jald khatam jo jayega. Kanha ji pe bharosa rakhenge.

Madhav: hmm. Raghav tum jao.

Nurse:Okay sir. Mein chalta hoon.

Madhav nodded.

Madhav: Manorama, hume Anirudh ko batana hoga ki..

Manorama looked at him and nodded.

Inside the room.

Anirudh had woke up and was sitting there caressing bonditas hairs.

Madhav and Manorama walked inside the room.

Madhav: Anirudh, tum uth gye?

Anirudh: Haan woh neend khule gyi thi beech mein. Isliye.

Manorama: Anirudh mujhe kuch batana hai.

Anirudh: abhi nhi manorama.

Manorama: Zaroori hai.

Anirudh: Bondita mere liye zaroori hai. Mein usse chod kahin nhi jaunga.

Manorama : Bondita ke baare mein hi hai.

Anirudh looked at her and then at Bondita. He hesitantly left her hand and went with Manorama.

Madhav sat beside Bondita and held he palm : Meine jo vaada kiya woh nibhaunga.

Bondita stirred in her sleep and woke up.
Madhav helped her in sitting. Bondita rubbed her eyes and said : Uth gyi?

Bondita: hmm. Tum yahan?

Madhav : Madhav ki sakhi takleef mein ho ,aur madhav na aayen. Aisa kabhi ho sakta hai?

Bondita, smiling : Nhi. Par mein ab theek hoon.

Madhav : dikh rha hai. Tumne aisa kyun kiya?

Bondita: Madhav kyun kiya ka kya Matlab hota hai. Yeh jo chal rha hai desh mein,woh krantikaariyon aur Bristish raj ke beech mein chal rha hai. Inn sab mein unn masoom bachiyon ka kya dosh. Aare woh bachiyan itni masoom hai ki unhe kuch Pata hi nhi ki unke aas paas kya chal rha hai. Woh toh apne khwabon ki duniya mein khush hai. Duniya ko bachane ke liye kisi aur duniya ujaad dena kya sahi hai?

Madhav heard Bondita and was numb for a while. He nodded in no.

Bondita: toh phir?

Madhav after a while : tumhe Pata hai ki jisne hamla kiya woh..

Bondita: Haan. Tumhare saathi ne kiya.

Madhav : tumhe yeh kyun nhi laga ki yeh sab mein kar sakta hoon.

Bondita, smiling : Madhav kabhi apni sakhi ko chot pahuncha sakte hai  kya?
Kabhi nhi.

Madhav lightly smiled and hit her forehead to which Bondita frowned and hit him on his arm.

Madhav laughed and Bondita joined him.

In the Balcony.

Anirudh: Kya baat hai Manorama. Kya bolna chahti thi Bondita ke baare mein.

Manorama: Anirudh woh Mujhe pata hai unn bachiyon pe kisne hamla kiya.

Anirudh: Kisne kiya? Meine pucha kisne kiya,jiske wajah se Bondita ki yeh halat hai.

Manorama, hesitantly: Mere Krantikaari saathi ne.

Anirudh, clenched his fist and said gritting his teeth : Kahan hai woh.

Manorama: Anirudh usne anjaane mein kiya. Usse nhi Pata tha woh kya kar rha hai. Desh ko aazaad karne ke fitoor mein usne..

Anirudh: Desh ko aazaad karne ke fitoor mein? Desh ko aazaad karne ke fitoor mein agar Bondita ko kuch ho jata toh? Bondita ko hi kyun? Unn bavhiyon ko kuch ho jata toh? Insab bachoyon ka kya dosh? Bache bhagwaan ka roop hote hain. Agar aaj unn bachiyon ko kuch ho jata na toh tumhe mein kya vhagwaan bhi maaf nhi kar Pata.Mujhe kuch ho Jaye toh afsos nhi par Bondita ko kuch ho Jaye mujhe bardaash nhi. Shukar manao apne saathi ki woh mere saamne nhi hai, agar saamne hota toh shayad issi hospital ke kisi kamre mein pada rehta.
Ek baat samjh lo Manorama,Bondita ko ek aanch bhi nhi aani chahiye, agar usse ek kharoch bhi aaye tumhare yaa tumhare saathiyon ke wajah se toh mujhse bura koi nhi hoga.
Saying this he left the place leaving a dejected Manorama.

Manorama: Kaise bataon Anirudh ki mere saathi ne aise kyun kiya. Agar bata doon toh shayad tum usse...Maaf kardena Anirudh.

In the room.

Madhav and Bondita were talking randomly when Anirudh entered.

Anirudh- Bondita.

Bondita- Haan.

Anirudh: doctor ne tumhe ghar le jaane ki ijazat de di hai. Chalen?

Bondita: Haan.
She was about to get up when winced in pain due to her arm.

Madhav : mein madat kar deta hoon.

Anirudh,coming: mein kar lunga. Tumahri zaroorat nhi hai.

Madhav inwardly laughed seeing his possessiveness. Bondita was confused by Anirudh behavior.

Anirudh forwarded his hand and Bondita was about to keep when she saw Manorama. She stopped in middle and looked at her .

Manorama, hesitantly: Kaisi ho Bondita?

Bondita, sternly : theek hoon.

She saw Anirudh looking a her and asking her to keep her hand on his but Bondita, keeping a stone on her heart ignored and asked Madhav for help.

Bondita, sternly - Madhav meri madat kar dona.

Madhav - mein?

Bondita- aur koi madhav dikh rha hai kya tunhe?

Madhav- nhi Mera matlab..

Bondita- madat karni hai ya nhi?

Madhav - theek hai karta hoon.
Saying this he held her by her shoulder not harming her injured arm and other hand holding her hands.
Anirudh was looking at this with tearful eyes but the tears nor falling.
Madhav took Bondita outside.

Manorama again cursed herself for coming in the wrong time.

Manorama- Anirudh..

Anirudh - ghar jao. Mein thodi der baad  aaunga.

Manorama didn't dare to ask further questions and left.

Anirudh left after her but towards the Mandir.

Radhakrishna!

The mandir was quite after the evening Aarti. Pandits were busy chanying Krishna's name, holding the beads of rosary and closed eyes.
The bhakts sitting there with closed eyes.Children of the village playing around, the cow and the goats resting on the soil. The village woman talking among themselves and holding a pots on their head walking to their house.
The sky colored with pink and orange, filled with white clouds,the birds flying along with the moving clouds,creating a perfect view.

Anirudh sat on the staircase leading to the mandir looking at the idol,silenty. Several thoughts going inside his mind but he found that keeping quite as the beat solution. Today he is sitting on the place where he never thought to. He never believed on God's after his Mother's demise, until and unless Bondita entered his life.

Soon the sun was out of the horizon and slowly the stars started to appear.
The streets were quite, pandits already left towards their chambers. The mandir was closed,but still Anirudh was sitting there.He felt peace which he was devoid off few days ago. He slept there itself feeling the peaceful environment around him.

Someone came and kept a hand on his shoulder jerking him off the sleep.
It was Maha- Pandit of the Mandir.

Maha-Pandit- Beta,yahan kya kar rhe ho?

Anirudh- Sukoon dhoondne aaya tha pandit ji.

Maha-Pandit - Sukoon? Pratit hota hai ki kisi pareshaani mein uljhe huye ho.

Anirudh- Uljha hua toh hoon par uss uljhan ko suljha nhi paa rha.

Maha-Pandit - jab Uljhan na Suljhe toh usse Samay ko saunp dena chahiye.
Samay ke saath saath sab uljhan sulajh jaati hai.

Anirudh- Samay hi toh Mera dushman ban gya pandit ji.

Maha-Pandit sitting beside Anirudh on stairs and said- Kitni ajeeb baat hai na.

Anirudh- kya pandit ji?

Maha-Pandit- Pata hai ek baar na mere saath bhi galat hua tha. Meri patni aur mere beech ladai hui thi. Bohot badi ladai.Humne samay ko bohot kosaa.
Hume laga ki samay humare saath nhi hai.

Anirudh- Par pandit ji samay ki isme kya galti. Galti toh hum insaanon ki hai na ki hum galat karte hai par Samay ko galat thehrate hain. Hum apni galti naa maan kar samay ko.... he stopped abruptly.

Maha-Pandit smiling- Galti ki hai toh usse sudhaaro. Warna kabhi kabhi sach mein samay acha nhi hota aur kuch galat ho jaata hai. Koi door chala Jaye isse pehele apni galti sudhaar lena chahiye.
The pandit left Anirudh by chanting "Hare Krishna". Anirudh sat there lost.

In Rc Haveli.

Bondita was resting in her room.
Suddenly her eyes opened when she felt as if someone was standing there.

Bondita- tum yahan?

Manorama- Maaf karna woh...

Bondita- kya hua? Koi pareshaani?

Manorama- Nhi woh patti badal nhi thi tumahre chot ki.

Bondita- mein koyli didi se keh dungi. Tum jaa sakti ho.

Manorama- koyli ghar par nhi hai.
Aur baaki sab Aaraam kar rhe hain. Sab aspatal se aate aate thak gye the na .

Bondita nodded.

Bondita- tum rakh do, mein laga lungi.

Manorama, frowning- kaise? Ek haath se? Dikhao chup chap.

Bondita frowned and was about to deny  Manorama showed her eyes and then sat beside her. Bondita didn't say anything and turned away her face.

Manorama while changing the Patti - Dard ho rha hai?

Bondita- jis dard se mein guzara kar rhi hoon uske saamne yeh kuch bhi nhi hai.

Manorama- meri wajah se yeh sab hua na. Mere se bohot shikayat karna.

Bondita- Shikayat kis baat ka ,woh bhi kisi paraye se. Dard toh Apne dete hai na.

Manorama- ho sake toh mujhe maaf kardena.

Bondita- kis liye meri khushiyan cheen ne ke liye? Yaa phir apne Krantikaari saathi ko mujhe goli chalane ke liye.

Manorama- tum jaanti ho ki..

Bondita- Haan.

Manorama- kaise?

Bondita removing the pallu of Manorama and showing an injury.

Bondita- yeh ghaav meine tumhare saath ke cheered mein dekha tha. Shak tha par jab khud tumahre mooh se sunna toh shak yakeen mein badal gya.

Manorama- jab tumhe Pata tha toh tumne Uss angrezz afsar ko kuch bataya kyun nhi.

Bondita while applying haldi on Manorama's forehead said - tum kya chahti ho. Tumhara sach batakar mein apne parivaar ko dard doon? Kabhi nhi.

Manorama got up and was about to move away but stopped when Bondita said - mere parivaar ko ek aanch bhi nhi aani chahiye Manorama. Warna jitna dard Mera parivaar sahega usse zyada tumhe sehna padega.

Manorama, not turning and said - vaada hai. Kuch nhi hone doongi tumahre parivaar ko.

And went away.

Bondita closed her eyes and let out a sigh.
She looked at Kanha's idol and by holding it she uttered - Itna dard kyun Kanha ji? Itna dard kyun?

2 persons were observing her with tears.
Madhav and Anirudh.

Madhav thinking: I am sorry Sakhi. Tumhare dard ka ek kaaran mein bhi hoon. Ho sake toh maaf karna. And walked away, wiping his tears.

Anirudh, looking at Bondita with tearful eyes and thinking: Bas Bondita kuch din aur. Sab sach tumahre saamne hoga. Tumhe dard dekar mujhe dard hota hai. Aur nhi doonga.

Thinking this he also went away but he didn't knew that this was may be the last time he would be seeing her this close.
