Bondita - aap sachi mein mujhse baat nhi karenge ?

Anirudh- kaan kharaab hai kya tumhare? Bola na nhi baat karni hai tumse! Jao ab !

Bondita- theek hai , shubhraatri! Saying this left the room only to hide behind door. She slowly peeped inside the room to see Anirudh sulking and mummering to himself. She chuckled and went to get something.

After a while Anirudh again heard the payal noise.

Anirudh- aa gyi manane, lekin mein itni jaldi nhi manunga ,dekh lena .

Bondita heard what Anirudh said but pretended that she had just come. She cleared her throat.

Anirudh - kya hai.

Bondita didn't say anything, but forwarded something to him.

Not getting any response, Anirudh turned his face to look at Bondita's face and the forwarded hand .

Anirudh- yeh kya hai.

Bondita- isse pakadiye aur kaan se lagayiye.

Anirudh- kya? Kyun?

Bondita- bas lagayiye!

Anirudh- pehel batao kyun?

Bondita- kitne sawaal puchte hain aap? Lagayiye na !

Anirudh- nhi lagaunga! Kya karogi?

Bondita- lagate ho yaa nhi ?

Anirudh- nhi

Bondita- pakka ?

Anirudh- Haan.

Bondita- theek hai , jayiye mein ab aapse baat nhi karungi.

Anirudh- arre ,naaraaz mein hoon par nakhre tum dikha rhi ho? Yeh kaisi baat hui?

Bondita- nakhre karne pe majboor aapne kiya hai , mein toh sirf itna keh rhi thi ki ,yeh nariyal ka khol jo hai kaan pe laga lijye.par aap kahan meri suite hain.

Anirudh- acha theek hai ,lagata hoon.

Bondita's eyes gleamed with happiness while Anirudh stared at her with disbelief.
He put the shell on his ears.
Bondita put the other near her mouth.

Bondita - tring tring.

Anirudh didn't know what to say so he sat there silently.

Bondita- tring tring .

Anirudh with his eyes asked ,what he should do .

Bondita- jaise aap apne telephone se baat karte hain ,waise hi kariye .

Anirudh nodded .

Bondita- tring tring.

Anirudh- hello kon?

Bondita- hello jamai babu , mein bondita ki maa hoon.

Anirudh looked at bondita with a raised eyebrows .

Bondita- jamai babu aap sun rhe hai na ?

Anirudh - Haan, nomoshkaar maa ,kamon aacho?

Bondita-Aami bhalo achi ! Par aapki tabyat kaisi hai? Bomdita ne batya ki aapki tabyat theek nhi hai?

Anirudh- Haan maa woh zara sa bukhaar...

Bondita- zara sa bukhaar toh nhi hai aapko.khyal rakha kariye apna .

Anirudh- Maa yeh sab chodiye , mujhe naa aapse aapki beti ki shikayat karni hai.

Bondita- acha ab meri beti ne mere jamai babu ko kaise preshaan kiya hai?

Anirudh- Maa apki beti naa aajkal bohot gussa karti hai.

Bondita- woh toh aap bhi karte hain.

Anirudh- aapki beti na bina baat sune , apna nirnay le leti hai.

Bondita- aap bhi karte hain.

Anirudh- woh na bohot ziddi ho gyi hai.

Bondita- aap bhi toh hain.

Anirudh irrited- maa ,aap meri taraf hai yaa bondita ke taraf hai.

Bondita - mein kisi ke taraf nhi hoon , mein bas itna keh rhi hoon ki jaisi harkatein aap karte hai na waisi harkatein bondita bhi karti hai.

Anirudh- Matlab?

Bondita- Matlab yeh ki galti aap dono ki hai.Aap dono hi ziddi ho , aap dono hi bina Sach jaane nirnay lete ho, aap dono dono hi bey Matlab ek dusre pe gussa hote ho. Toh hui na dono ki galti ? Bina kisi ki baat sunne chale jaana yaa apna nirnay Banya kar dena ,galaf nhi toh kya hai? Aap barrister hai na , barrister hone ke naate aap bhi jaante honge ki saamne waali ki baat sunke ji aap apna paksh rakhte hai. Phir aisi galti karna sahi hai kya ? Meri baat pe Gaur farmayiye, aur Haan bondita ki taraf dekhiye kaise kaan pakad ke baithi hai neeche .maaf kar dijiyega usko aur aap bhi maafi maang lijiyega.

Anirudh turned his face to see bondita holding her ears and sitting with a puppy face . Anirudh smiled ,giggled and laughed seeing her. He directed her to get up. Bondita too giggled and got up.

Anirudh- yeh sab kya tha ?

Bondita- kya tha ? Baatein hui!

Anirudh- waise tum kuch kehne waali thi na.

Bondita narrowed her eyes,sighed and said - maaf kar dijiye, dopahar aur raat ko jaise Bartaav kiya waise nhi karna chahiye tha.

Anirudh- hmm ,kar diya maaf.

Bondita smiled in response and waited for him to speak. Anirudh raised an eyebrow in response and asked - kya ?

Bondita- maafi?

Anirudh- woh toh tumne maang liya na ?

Bondita-arre mein nhi ,aapko maangni hai!

Anirudh ,pretending- mein kyun?

Bondita- aapko yaad nhi hai 2 din pehele aapne kya kiya tha ?

Anirudh,teasing and pretending- kya kiya tha?

Bondita- hay Durga maa ,aap itni jaldi bhool gye.Aapko sachi mein yaad nhi hai?

Anirudh- nhi toh. Yaad dilao zara.

Bondita stared at him in disbelief.

Flashback.(bondita and Anirudh are talking about 2 days before event, so in flashback it will be considered as today.)

Anirudh had returned late from the court.He was really tired ,anyone could see it from his face. Actually he was working on a case from past 1 week . The case was really tough as it was against a powerful British officer cum Businessman. As the judge was also a Britisher ,it was obvious that he would support the wrong one. The case got delayed day by day until today as today was the final hearing of the case and Anirudh had a big win against the East India Government. When he returned it was around 10 pm. To his surprise the family was still awake and was having nice chat with each other. Everyone was present there expect Binoy. Bondita was coming out of the kitchen with a tray of milk in her hand . She saw Anirudh standing there in confused state  .

Bondita- arre aap aa gye ? Itni der kaise ho gyi?

Anirudh- woh case thoda lamba chala gya ,isliye .

Bondita- ohh.

Anirudh- woh aaj sab itni der raat tak jage huye hain?

Bondita- kal shanivaar hai na toh sabne isliye aaj masti karne ka socha.

Anirudh- ohh theek hai.

Bondita- aap bhi aayiye na.

Anirudh- nhi woh..

From behind,

Kaka- aare Anirudh tum kab aaye ,Pata hi nhi chala.

Anirudh- bas kaka ,kuch der pehele hi aaya.

Kaka- acha jaa  mooh haath dhole , bahu khana lagwa degi.lagwa dogi na bahu?

Bondita- jii zaroor.

Anirudh- nhi woh Mera khaane ka man nhi hai .

Bondita- bina khaye koi sota hai kya bhala? Phir raat ko bhoot ki tarah ghumoge aur subha shikayat karoge ki ,kisine khana nhi diya.

Anirudh narrowed his eyes while the whole family laughed.

Bondita ,giggling- jaiyiye.

Anirudh- jaa rha hoon.

After sometime everyone had retired to there room. It was 11.30 pm. Anirudh was having a heated conversation on the phone . He whispered yelled to the person on the other side.
He hung up the phone and sat on the sofa holding his head. The food was kept on the table. He hadn't had the food yet. Bondita  entered the study cheerfully with cup of coffee .

Bondita - aare aapne ab tak khaana nhi khaya?

Anirudh- Tum yahan iss waqt.

Bondita- coffee ,aapko raat ko peeke sone ki aadat hai na .

Anirudh- rakh do ,pee lunga.

Bondita- aapne ab tak mere sawal ka jawab nhi diya.

Anirudh- konsa sawaal Bondita?

Bondita- aapne ab tak khana nhi khaya?

Anirudh- khaa lunga ,tum jao so jao.

Bondita- khaa lunga nhi ,khaayiye.

Anirudh- bondita meine kaha na kha lunga , jao abhi.mujhe pareshaan mat karo , sar mei waise bhi dard hai.

Bondita- nhi aap abhi khayiye.

Anirudh- bondita jao .

Bondita- nhi jaungi jab tak aap khaa nhi lete .

Anirudh, shouting- Bondita yeh kya laga rakha hai tumne" nhi jaungi, nhi jaungi" Haan?jab dekho pareshaan karti reheti ho.
Ek baar kaha samajh mein nhi aata ? Pyaar se kahi baat samjh mein nhi aatti , gusse aur daant ki jo aadat lag gyi hai tumhe.

Bondita- pati babu..

Anirudh- chup ,bilkul chup. Kuch nhi sunna mujhe. Bohot bolti ho tum , arre kabhi toh shaant raha karo.jab dekho idhar udhar jaati  aati rehti ho aur sabko ,khaas kar mujhe pareshaan karti rehti ho.

Bondita- meri baat..

Anirudh- kuch nhi sunna mujhe , chali jao yahan se isse pehele kuch galat kar doon mein.

Bondita was standing there with tears. She was standing there with lot of thoughts in her mind. Showing concern for someone is now bad ? Wiping her tears she said - Main aapse khana khane ke liye isliye keh rhi thi kyunki aap jab dopahar kaam se gye the toh bina kahye gaye the, aur abhi jab raat ko aaye thake huye lag rhe the. Khaana kha lete toh ab tak sar mein bhi dard nhi hota kyunki aap ke sar mein zyada dard tab hota hai jab aap bhuke hon.kha lijiyega aur coffee bhi pee lijiyega.
Shubhraatri.

Anirudh who heard her was guilty for shouting at her for no reason. He turned to apologize to her but she had already left. He sighed in frustration and sat on sofa. He has to now apologize to her. It was totally his mistake for not listening to her. He took out all his anger on her , after the heated conversation on the telephone with the same opponent of a new case.

Flashback ends.

Bondita- aapne mujh pe bewajah gussa kiya tha.

Anirudh- Maaf kardo na ,ab tumhe Pata bhi toh hai kis wajah se gussa hua tha. Sorry.

Bondita- gussa hona ek taraf aur Bewajah gussa hona ek taraf. Aap ek barrister hone ke naate thoda dheerajta nahi rakh sakte kya samne wale ki baat sunne ke liye. Kahin aisa na ho ki ek din aisa aaye ki apki iss bewajah gusse ke kaaran humare beech tanaav aa Jaye aur hum door ho jayen.

Anirudh stared at her for sometime as last line echoed in his ears. He came out of his thoughts when bondita clicked her fingers .

Bondita- kahan kho gye ?

Anirudh- kahin nhi.

Bondita- theek hai phir so jayiye.

Anirudh- hmm.

Bondita- shubhraatri.

Anirudh- shubhraatri.
Bondita- waise meine ab tak aapko maaf nhi kiya.

Anirudh- kyun!

Bondita left the room without answeringhim. Anirudh was thinking about the last line bondita said (hum donodoir ho gye toh).

Anirudh thinking- aisa kyun lag rha hai ki kuch galat hone wala hai. Mein kuch zyada hi soch rha hoon.Bondita ke sath rehte rehte mein bhi pagal banata jaa rha hoon. Mujhe so jana chahiye.

Thinking this he slept.

Outside Bondita's Room.

Bondita was on the way to her room when she saw somnath roaming outside her room like a cat. He was having a frown on his face. Wait a sec - A cat with a frown?

Bondita shrugging of her thoughts went towards him and said- dada!

Somnath was shocked with sudden call. He screamed- aahh!

Bondita- shhhh! Aap chilla kyun rahe hain?

Som- peeche se agar aise achanak se Aaogi aur dada karke kahogi toh vyakti darega nhi?

Bondita- aap vyakti ho?

Som- hain ? Yeh kaisa sawaal hua ? Jeeta jagta insaan hoon ,dikh nhi rha kya?

Bondita- mujhe toh aap kahin se bhi insaan nhi lagte.

Som with narrowed eyes- kya ?

Bondita- aur nhi toh kya ? Ek billi ek bhaun ke saath lag rhe the.

Som- kya kaha? Mein billi aur ek bhaun ke saath? Aisa kyun bhala ?

Bondita- mujhe kya Pata? Ab jo dikha wih bol diya.

Som - mei koi billi bhaun ke saath nhi hoon.

Bondita- toh kya hai?

Som- insaan!

Bondita- aare pagol maanush,shomoshyata ki?

Som- ohh ,tai bolo.woh ...

Bondita - dekhiye mujhe bohot need aa rhi hai ,isliye agar koi gambhir baat nhi hai toh mein chali sone.bohot thak gyi hoon mein.

Som stared at her for sometime as he was hesitant to say. Bondita waited for few mins but not getting any response she decided to leave.

She saw that Som was staring at her with hesitation and confusion.

Bondita- bolo bhi!

Som- woh mein..

Bondita indicated him to speak.

Som- main woh..

Bondita was patiently waiting to hear him.

Som was about to speak when bondita spoke- agar abhi bakri ke tarah mein mein kiya na ,toh mein bata rhi hoon sach ka sach bakri bana dungi.

Som stared at for sometime while
She not getting any response from him started yo leave for her room after muttering goodnight.She was about to enter the room when som held her hand and said- Naina!

Som and bondita were sitting on the bed. Som was staring the floor while bondita was staring him for answers.

Bondita- dada kya hua ? Kuch toh boliye.

Som- aapko yaad hai ,dopahar mein mere paas ek guldasta aur rasmalai thi.

Bondita- Haan yaad hai.

Som- woh naina ke liye tha .

Bondita- Haan Pata hai.par ek baat samjh mein nhi aayi ki achanak se yeh rasmalai aur guldasta kyun.

Som ,sighing- maafi maangne le liye.

Bondita- maafi?

Som- Haan.

Bondita - kyun aisa kya kar diya tha aapne ?

Som - woh 2 din pehele..

Flashback.
The same night after Ani shouted at Bondita ,Som and Naina had a fight.To be precise Som was shouting at Naina. The reason behind all this was that Som was having  an official conversation with someone on the phone when he saw that Naina was entering the room with a cup of tea in her hand. She kept the cup on the table and waited for him to end his call. As soon as the call the ended , somnath went towards the table and sat there silently.

Naina was staring at him with serious expression.

Somnath feeling a gaze on him lifted his head to see that Naina was standing there with serious expression.
After min or two ,som broke the silence and asked - kya hua ,aise kyun dekh rhi ho?

Naina- zyada baniye mat. Aaj dopahar meine jo sunna kya woh sach tha ?

Som- Naina woh..

Naina- aapne itni badi baat mujhse chupayi? Aap mujhe aapna dost maante hai na ? Doston se baat koi chupata hai kya ?

Som- Naina meri baat toh suno..

Naina- kya sunnu mein?

Som- sach.

Naina- acha toh kya hai sach ?

Som- naina, woh indaan tumhe pareshaan kar rhe tha. Tumhare baare mein tarah tarah ki baatein kar rhe tha. Tumhare baarein itni gandi baatein kar rhe tha ki mujhe gussa aaya aur meine usse ladke ko maara. Isme kya galti thi meri ?

Naina- Naman babu mere baare mein kyun kuch galat bolenge?

Som- kyun nhi bol sakte , unki niyat unke aankhon mei saaf jhalakti hai! Aur tum mujhse zyada unpe bharosa karti ho?

Naina-haan karti hoon.

Som with anger stood up and went towards her - kya kaha?

Naina- Mera unpe sabse zyada bharosa hai.woh kuch galat nhi kar sakte.aur toh aur..

Som held her arm and pulled her close- woh kuch galat nhi kar sakte ? Tumhara kehne ka Matlab hi galat meine kiya ?

Naina- Haan, aap hi ne kiya ! Kitni buri tareeke se maara hai aapne unko , dekha hai kya aapne?theek se chal bhi nhi paa rhe hain woh..

Som- woh issi layak hai.

Naina- kyun aisa kya kar diya tha unhone. Aue agar kuch kaha bhi toh mujhe kaha na ,aapko kyun itni takleef hi rhi hai.

Som tightend his hold on her arm and said - unhone aisa kya kar diya tha? Tumhe kyun uski itni fikar ho rhi hai?

Naina-kyun na ho fikar? Dost hai mere !

Som- toh mein tumahara dost nhi hoon kya?

Naina stayed mum.
Seeing her silence ,som anger took a high place.

Som-Naina chup kyun ho?meine kuch pucha tumse !

Naina- nhi hai aap mere dost.

Som- aur woh tumhara dost hai? 2 din pehele mila insaan tumahara itna acha dost bam gya aur hum dono jo ek dusre ko itne salon se jaante hai, hum dono dost nhi hai? Naina sach baat kehna, kya woh insaan tumhe pareshaan kar rha hai?

Naina widened her eyes ,tears rolled down from her eyes but she composed her self and said - woh bhala mujhe kyun pareshaan karenge,unki niyat nhi hai aisi.

Som angrily said- bhagwaan ke liye sach bolo naina ! Kya chupa rahi jo mujhse ?

Naina - mein kya chupaungi,chupane ki aadat aapki hai.

Som- tum unse pyaar karti ho kya ?

Naina stood there shocked not knowing what to reply.

Som- meine kuch pucha tumse!

Naina- nahi! Par iska yeh Matlab nhii hai ki mein unhe apna nhi maanti.

Som- woh tumhara apna aur mein paraya?

Naina- Haan.

Som- ek kaam karo mere kamre se dafa ho jao. Aur jao apne Naman babu ke paas. Meri hi galti hai ki tumhari fikar kar rha tha. Meri hi galti hai ki meine tumhare liye uss ladke ko maara. Meri hi galti hai ki meine tumahare liye usse aur samaaj se lada.Meri hi galti hai ki mein tumse ... meri nazron ke samne se chali jao Naina. Mujhe tumse baat nhi karni. Jao yahan se.

Naina was controlling her tears.she kept her hand on her mouth and ran away from there.

Flashback ends.

Bondita was shocked to hear what ever som said to her.

Bondita- Dada yeh sab ..

Som- jaanta hoon boudi kya soch rhe ho, mein bhi jaana chahta hoon uske iss vyavahaar ka kaaran.woh aisa kyun akr rhi hai aur kis liye kar rhi hai. Peheli  baar, peheli baar Naina aisa bartaav kar rhi hai aur uske peeche koi kaaran hai. Aur mujhe shak hai ki in sab ke peeche Uss  Naman ka hath hai. Aur Gusse mein Pata nhi meine usse kya keh diya.

Bondita mummering to herself- gussa karna toh dono bhaiyon ki adat hai.Nalayak kahinke.

Som- kuch kaha aapne?

Bondita - nhi ..nhi .

Som- kya karoon mein.

Bondita- dopahar mein aapne jo cheezen layi thi woh naina ko manane ke liye tha ?

Som- hmm

Bondita- yeh Naman kon hai waise?

Som gritting his teeth-vyabhichaaree! vyabhichaaree hai woh aadmi.

Bondita with wide eyes- kya?

Som- Haan, isliye Naina ko unse door rehene ko kehta hoon.par Pata nhi woh meri baat nhi sunti.Aur usne Naina ke baare mein itni gandi baatein ki hai ,jab mujhe Pata chala mujhpe kaboom nhi rha aur meine..

Bondita- karta kya hai ,Matlab uska pesha kya hai.

Som- Naami chitrakaar hai. Akbaaron mein aur radio mein bohot sunna tha uske baare mein. Naina unko bohot maanti thi aur unse milne ki aashayein laga kar baithi thi. Usko Naman ke antargat kaam karna tha. Uski khushi ke liye meine unse yaaniki Naman se baat ki aur woh maan bhi gye milne ke liye. Lekin jab se Naina unse mili hai tab se alag hi bartaav kar rhi . Mujhe Naina ka bartaav ajeeb laga. Meine usse kayi baar puchne ki koshish ki par usne nhi bataya. Phir ek din jab mein naman ke daftar gya toh jo meine dekha woh.. He closed his eyes in disgust.

Bondita- woh kya ?

Som- woh ek ladki ke saath..

Bondita horrified-kyaa?

Som - meine jab dekha toh mujhe bohot gussa aaya. Meine uss ladki ki jaan toh bacha li par phir woh Naman Naina ke baare mein gandi baatein karne laga.
Aur ab aage ki daastan aap jaanti hai.

Bondita- Tab toh unke khilaaf case darj karna chahiye.kal subha hi mein pati babu se baat karungi.

Som- Haan mein bhi yahi soch rha hoon. Naina toh kuch batane se rahi. Ab dada hi aakhri ummeed hai humari.

Bondita- ab aap jayiye aur so jayiye. Hum kal subha pati babu se iss baare mein baat karenge.

Som- Haan.

Som was about to leave when he turned and asked - boudi.

Bondita- Haan.

Som- meine naina ke saath jo bartaav kiya woh bewajah toh nhi tha na?

Bondita with a light smile- nhi dada, bewajah nhi tha.

Som smiled a little and left the room.He was bit relaxed after speaking his heart out to his boudi. No wait ,not boudi but a best friend. Before being his boudi ,she was his best friend.
He was waiting for the morning.
