Anirudh regained his consciousness and looked around to see Bondita glaring him.

Anirudh : Kya hua? Aise kyun dekh rhi ho?

Bondita: Bas woh kya hai na aapki shakal na aaj badi sundar lag rhi hai. Man kar rha hai ki dekhti rahun.

Anirudh looked at her confused while Bondita got up from bed and went to dressing table.

Bani ran inside and jumped on Anirudh's lap.

Bani : Baba, Reeta Kaki baby ke tarah kya Mera bhi koi bhai ya behen aane wala hai?

Anirudh : Arre tumhara bhai toh aa gya na. Reeta ka beta hi toh tumhara bhai hai.

Bani : Ohh ho baba. Pari ne Maa ke pait ke andar bhi toh baby diya hai. Toh uss hisab se Mera dusra bhai bhi ayega na.

Anirudh: Bondita ke pait mein Pari bacha.. Bacha?

Anirudh looked at Bani and then at Bondita. Bondita glared him and took off her jewelleries.

Saina: Bani chal baby ke sath khelte hai.

Bani ran with Saina while Anirudh walked towards Bondita.

Anirudh : Hum kya phirse Maa Baba banne wale hai?

Bondita: Nahi. Pari ne na yeh bacha aise hi laake mere pait mein rakh diya. Kitni pyaari Pari hai na?

Anirudh gave a wide smile and hugged her tightly. He snuggled to her neck and cried. Bondita's eyes turned wet and she caressed his back.

Anirudh picked up Bondita in his arms and rotated her all over the room while she laughed. Anirudh made her lie down on bed and lied beside her. With support of his elbow and turned her face. He kissed her forehead and whispered: Thank you.

Bondita smiled and hugged him, snuggling to his chest.

Bondita: I love you.

Anirudh: I love you too.

Person 1 : Sunna hai Roy Chowdhariyon ki badi bahu, Maa banne waali hai.

The leader smirked and came to light. Aurobindo.

Aurobindo : Maa bane waali hai aur mithayiyan nhi bheji? Yeh toh galat baat hai na!

All the other men looked at him confused.

The people around him smirked as they understood the plan.

Many new things were prepared for Bondita as she was pregnant. Just like Trilochan kaka did when Naina and Reeta were pregnant. Be it food clothes etc. Many gifts had arrived from Binoy's business partners while others were friends and family's. Some were English wine, juice, biscuits, fruits etc.

Bondita was being Pamperd by all. She suddenly stood up and ran to wahsroom to puke. Anirudh Ran behind her and patted her back.

Naina : Bondita chal yeh juice peele. Takat ayegi.

Bondita nodded and was about to grab the glass when Saina bumped into Naina and the glass fell.

Naina : Saina yeh kya kar rhi ho? Dekh kar jao aur khelo.

Saina : Sorry Maa. Sorry kaaki.
And ran away to her room.

Naina turned to Bondita but found her standing still with wide eyes and quivers lips.

Naina : Bo..Bondita kya hua?

Bondita pointed towards the floor and said : Carpet..Carpet Jal gaya.

Naina looked at her direction and her eyes widened.

Anirudh and Som came with some fruits and pot of Roshogulla and were confused to see their wives in shocked state.

Anirudh: Tum dono aise bhoot bane kyun khade ho?

Bondita instantly hugged Anirudh while Anirudh confused caressed her back. Naana pointed towards the floor and as Anirudh and Som saw it, they were shocked.

Som shouted: Kisi ki himmat hai yeh? Haan? Kisne yeh kiya?

Kaka : Kya hua Som. Aise kyun chilla rhe ho?

Som : Juice mein tehzaab tha. Shukar hua ki Boudi ne nahi piya warna...

Anirudh : Baba aapke angrezi dost ne yeh juice bheja tha na?

Binoy : Haan par Anirudh..

Anirudh shouting: Kya Anirudh Baba? Apko mana kiya tha ki unn angrezon ke saath dosti mat kariye. Lekin aap toh Aankh band kar bharosa karte hau.
Agar Bondita aur mere bache ko kuch ho jata toh?

He walked away with dejected face and tears filled eyes.

Bondita: Apko baba se aise baat nhi karni chahiye thi. Unko bura laga hoga.

Bihari : Maalik, woh Dev babu ka phone hai.

She glared Anirudh and went towards study.

Bondita: Hello.

Anirudh came and held the phone. Bondita went to sleep.

Dev : I trust you. Aue Haan mein kuch Choti ke dekhbhaal ke liye rakhwaale bhej rha hoon. Is that okay?

Anirudh : Hmm. Mein bhi kuch intezaam karta hoon. Good Night.

Dev : Good Night.

Dev kept the phone and looked at Krishna's idol.

Dev : Hay Kanha ji. Meri behen ki raksha karna.

Anirudh was passing by when stopped at Mandir. He joined his hands and said : Hay Durga Maa. Meri Bondita ki raksha karna.

He walked upstairs to his room. Changing his clothes he lied beside Bondita. Taking her in his embrace he slept while she snuggled to his chest.

Somewhere in the worn out building.

Man : Pehela vaar nakamyab raha sahab. Uss Bondita ne toh uss juice ko piyaa hi nahi.

Aurobindo: Na piya na sahi. Un logon ke man mein dar toh paida ho gya.

Man 2 : Ab aage kya karein?

Aurobindo: Intezaar. Shikari sher ko shikaar karne ke liye intezaar karta hai. Agar Nazar Hati, toh durghatna ghati.

Aurobindo smirked and laughed like a wolf.

3 months passed but nothing happened which would make Anirudh and Dev suspicious. Two lady helpers were assigned to stay with Bondita all the time. A little baby bump was visible which made Bondita and Anirudh squel in happiness. Bondita was staying in happiness bubble but Anirudh was staying both happy and alert.

Every one took care of Bondita like a princess, be it Das Family or Roy Chowdhary. Her favorite food to her favorite books, light sarees etc. Also some baby toys and clothes.

Bondita was sleeping in her room when Bani entered and sat beside Bondita. She saw a little baby bump and was confused.

Anirudh came out from washroom and was surprised to see Bani at this hour of night. He with a little smile sat beside her and asked : Kya hua Mishti? Aise kya dekh rhi ho?

Bani : Baba baby kahan hai. 3 mahine hi gye, baby nhi dikh rha hai.

Anirudh made her sit on lap and said : Abhi time hai Mishti. Abhi sirf 3 mahine huye hai. Baby itni jaldi nhi aata.

Bani : Matlab Reeta Kaki ke pait mein jaise 9 months raha tha waise hi rahega? Jaldi nhi aa sakta.

Anirudh : Dekho. Har ek cheez ka na sahi samay hota hai. Chahe khana khane ka ho, sone ka ho , khelne ka ho. Waise hi baby ka iss duniya mein aane ka bhi ek sahi samay hota hai.

Bani nodded and looked at Bondita intently. She kept her little hand on Bondita's stomach and giggled.

Anirudh smiled and caressed her hairs.

Anirudh : Chalo now. Go to sleep. Kal school bhi hai na.

Bani nodded and Ran to her room.

Anirudh slept beside Bondita, after switching off the light's.

2 hours went by and suddenly room witnessed someone falling down.

Anirudh: aaah.. Bondita kya kar rhi ho?

Bondita: Tab se bula rhi hoon. Apko sunai nhi deta kya?

Anirudh: Kya hua? Kahin dard ho rha hai? Bolo.

Bondita: Nahi woh mujhe bhook lagi hai.

Anirudh: Ohh acha. Ek sec. Tumhe aadhi raat ko bhook lag rhi hai? Kyun?

Bondita: Mujhe Kya Pata kyun lag rhi hai? Bas lag rhi hai.

Anirudh: Theek hai. Laata hoon tumahre liye Roshogulle.

Bondita : Chee. Mujhe nhi khana Roshogulle.

Anirudhs eyes widened and he looked at her with open mouth.

Bondita : Mujhe puchka khaana hai. Laao jaake.

Anirudh looked at the watch and then at Bondita.

Anirudh: Itni raat ko konsa puchka wala dukaan khol kar baitha rahega?

Bondita: Mujhe nhi pata. Mujhe khaana hai.

Anirudh: Par Bondita...

Bondita: Khaana hai khaana hau khaana hai.

Anirudh : Acha baba laa rha hoon. Shaant ho jao.

Anirudh went outside yawning and bumped into Batuk.

Batuk : Aap yahan itni raat ko kya kar rhe hain?

Anirudh: Tumhari boudi ke liye Puchka laane jaa rha hoon. Par konsa dukaan itni raat ko khula rahega, pata nhi.

Batuk : Arre ek hai. Woh Raheem chacha ke dukaan ke baaju mein hi hai.
24/7 khula rehta hai. Kuch din pehle hi khula hai.

Anirudh : Phir woh Sota kab hai?

Batuk : Wahi jaane.

Anirudh: Theek hai. Ek sec, tum yahan itni raat ko kya kar rhe ho.

Batuk : Arre woh Reeta baby ko doodh ...

Anirudh: Acha theek hai. Mein aata hoon thodi der mein.

Batuk lied on the sofa and fell asleep.

Near the stall.

Anirudh: Dada, puchka dena. Ghar leke jana hai.

Seller : Ji dada.

The seller packed the puchka and gave it Anirudh. As Anirudh turned, the puchka seller took a stick and tried to hit Anirudh from behind, but stopped as he saw Batuk standing infront of Anirudh. He quickly put the stick behind and acted normal.

Anirudh: Tum yahan?

Batuk : Haan woh puchka ka naam sundar mujhe bhook lagi toh apka peeche kar liya.

Anirudh frowned and hit his head. Batuk giggled and walked to Puchka wala and asked him to make some for him.

The seller nodded and made some. After Relishing the puchka's Batuk and Anirudh walked together towards the house.

Suddenly both of them heard a gunshot. Anirudh fell down and Batuk was shocked. Anirudh's foot was bleeding.

Batuk crying: Dada..Dada yeh kya hua?

Anirudh calling down Batuk said : Kuch.. kuch nhi hua. Shaant ho jao.

Batuk didn't listen to him and took him to nearby hospital.

In house, Bondita was having an uneasy feeling. She went towards Naina and Som's room.

Som opened the door yawning.

Som : Kya hua boudi.

Bondita cried a loud making Som worry.
Naina too came hearing her voice.

Som made Bondita sit on the sofa and went to bring water for her.

Naina : Bondita tu bekaar mein hi pareshaan ho rhi hai. Kuch nhi hoga dada ko.

Som : Haan Boudi. Aap kuch zyada hi soch rhe ho. Yeh lo paani piyo.

Bondita: Nahi Mera man nhi maan rha. Mujhe Pata hai kuch galat hua hai. Mein bewakoof raat ko kyun bheja unhe.

Naina hugged to her to calm her down while Som patted Bondita's head.

Kaka : Tum teeno raat ko yahan kya kar rhe ho?

Bondita while sniffing narrated everything.

Kaka : Bahu. Koi baat nhi. Kuch nhi hua hoga Anirudh ko. Hume Pata hau woh theek hoga.

Bondita: Par... Pati Babu.
Bondita screamed as she saw Bondita coming with support of Batuk. She saw his bandaged foot.

Kaka : Anirudh..

Som and Naina : Dada...

Kaka : Yeh dusri baar hua hai. Pehele Bahu ke saath. Ab Hunare Bete ke saath. Jo bhi hai, hum usse chodenge nhi.

Som : Kaka abhi filhal hume Dada aur boudi ke upar dhyaan dena chahiye.

Batuk : Haan. Aur Baba bhi yahan nhi hai. Ghar mein teen bache hau aur dusra aana wala hai. Zyada dhyaan rakhna Hoga.

Kaka: Hmm. Abhi ke liye Anirudh ko dekh ke aate hai. Naina bahu, Tum Bondita bahu ko sambhalo.

Bondita was crying keeping a hand on her mouth.
Batuk and Som.took Anirudh to the room.
Kaka , Batuk and Som after making sure he was fine, walked towards their room. Naina after calming Bondita sent her to her room, while she retired to hers.

She slowly walked towards him and said : Meri wajah se hua na yeh sab. I am sorry.

She cried while Anirudh laughed a little and hugged her.

Anirudh : Arre baba kuch nhi hua hai.

Bondita: Acha toh yeh Patti kyun?

Anirudh: Woh toh pata nhi.

Bondita: Dard ho rha hai kya?

Anirudh : Haan ho rha hau par utna nhi jitna tumhare yeh mote mote aansun dard de rhi hai.

Bondita giggled and hugged him.

Anirudh caressed her hairs and started to think something.

6 months passed and there was no site of any attacks like that. But the Rc men's were now more cautious. They used to go everywhere their wude used to go. Though it pissed the women of house, but they didn't say anything as they knew it was for their safety.
Bondita was on her 6th month. Her baby bump was more visible now. She used to talk with the baby in baby language. Anirudh too sometime used to join her.

Today the family had gone to Market. Bondita was looking for some stuff when Bani pulled her sarees corner.

Bondita: Haan Bani bolo.

Bani : Maa mujhe woh locket chahiye.

Bondita: Nahi. Tumahre paas pehle se hi itne saare lockets hai. Aur kyun chahiye?

Bani : Mere har ek dost ke paas waisa locket hai. Mujhe bhi chahiye.

Bondita: No.

Bani : Please Maa.

Bondita : Bacha. Zidd nhi karte.

Bani : Mujhe chahiye. Mujhe chahiye.

Anirudh picking her up in his arms and asked : Kya chahiye meri Mishti ko?

Bani explained in a dramatic way while Bondita frowned seeing her daughter and Anirudh to expressed his emotions to Bani in Dramatic way.

Anirudh : Toh yeh baat hai. Bondita de...

Bondita: Aap apne beti ki yeh masoom se chehre mein mat aayiye. Mein leke nhi de rhi. Aur agar aapne diya yaa parivaaar mein se kisne diya toh mujhse bura koi nhi hoga.

Bani : Maa please na.

Bondita sighed and said : Tumahre iss baar maths mein kam number Aye the na. Agar tumne usme ache marks leke aayi, toh tumhe jo chahiye woh milega.

Bani : Par exams toh 2 mahine baad hai na.

Bondita: Haan toh wait for 2 months.

Bani pouting : Okay.

Naina : Chal Bondita. Ghar chalte hai. Kaafi der ho gyi hai.

Bondita : Haan.

Anirudh and Naina were walking ahead while Som and Batuk came with Saina and Bani. Reeta was carrying Harsh in her arms, while walking with Bondita. Suddenly someone pushed Bondita from behind. In the nick of time, Reeta held Bondita.

Bondita grasped her belly tightly and started to breath heavily.

Reeta : Didi. Aap theek ho na?

Bondita: Mera bacha.

Reeta shouted : Anirudh Dada. Som dada. Yahan ayiye.

Anirudh was shocked to see Bondita's state. He ran to her and held her. Bondita hugged Anirudh and cried. Anirudh calmed her.

Anirudh shouted : Kisne Bondita ko Dhaka maraa?

The villagers kept mum and whispered among themselves.

Anirudh shouted : Mein kuch puch rha hoon.

Man : Hume nhi pata Malik.

Batuk : Mein bachon ko aage leke chalta hoon. He held Saina and Bani's hand and left.

Anirudh: Jab kuch pata hona rehta hai tab nhi pata hota lekin duniya bhar ki saari khabrein pata rehti hai. Kon kab khaya soya jaaga.

The villagers looked away embarrassed.

Anirudh: Mein yeh pure Hosh aur awaaz mei keh rha hoon. Agar mujhe paya chala ki Bondita ko Dhaka aap Mein se kisine maara hai, toh mujhse bura koi nahi hoga.

Som : Dada abhi yeh sab baat ko chodiye. Boudi ko ghar leke chalte hai.

Anirudh : Haan.

Anirudh glared each and every villagers. He took Bondita while holding her by her shoulder while the other family members followed.

Kaka and Binoy were having their tea when they say their children entering. Kaka and Binoy expected Bondita and others to be excited but their gloomy faces showed otherwise.

Anirudh took Bondita upstairs while Som narrated everything to Kaka and Binoy.

Kaka : Hai kon yeh? Kya dushmani hai usse humare bache se? Kyun peeche pada hai.

Binoy: Da wahi toh jaana hai.

Anirudh: Aurobindo.
Anirudh said decending down the stairs .

Kaka : Par woh toh jail mein..

Anirudh: Usse kuch hi mahine pehele Rihaa kiya gaya hai.

Binoy : Aur yeh tum hume ab bata rahe ho?

Anirudh: Baba mujhe bas Shaq hau. Bina gawah ya saboot ke mein usse jail mei wapas nhi bheji sakta.

The family sighed.

Kaka : Bahu ab se jahan jayegi wahan uske saath do chowkidaar aur ek gaur ka sadasiya jayega.

The family nodded.

Every one retired to their room.
Anirudh sat beside Bondita. He saw her tear stricken face. He caressed her face and was about to get up but Bondita's tight hold didn't let him move. He lied beside her and took her in his embrace.
He kissed her head and closed his eyes.

Anirudh thought : Agar inn sabke peeche Tumhara haath hai Aurobindo toh mujhse bura koi nhi hoga.

The final 9th month arrived. Bondita was talking to her baby in a baby voice.
Anirudh came from washroom and stood infront of the mirror. He looked at Bondita from the mirror and smiled. He too the Musk Perfurme and applied it seductively, grabbing attention of Bondita.

He came near her and sat infront of her. He leaned towards her while she moved back. Anirudh kissed her gently while she also kissed him back.
Breaking the kiss, he kissed her forehead and whispered: I love you.

Bondita kissed his cheek and said : I love you too.

Anirudh sat back and held her hands softly.
Bondita suddenly gasped in shock and kept a hand on her mouth.

Anirudh concerned : Kya hua? Kahin dard ho rha hai? Bolo?

Bondita nodded in no and said : Baby ne laat maara.

Anirudh: La..Laat maara?

Bondita nodded. Anirudh bent and kept his head on her stomach. He squealed in happiness and jumped : Humare bache ne laat maraa.

Bondita laughed seeing hum acting like a kid.

Bani came and said : Maa. Maa yeh dekho. Maths mein mere full marks aaye. Ab woh locket aap dilaoge na?

Bondita looked at the paper and smiled. She nodded. Bani happily hugged her but soon stood straight.

Bani : Maa.. Baby bhi kya mere marks se khush hai? Woh andar dance kar rha hai kya?

Bondita nodded and said : Isliye toh laat maar rha hai. Phirse sunna hai?

Bani nodded. Anirudh: Mujhe bhi.

Both Father and Daughter kept their ears on Bondita's stomach. And both of them again jumped in happiness.

The father and daughter danced with hand in hand while Bondita laughed looking at them.

Night, 2.30 am.

Bondita and Anirudh were sleeping peacefully but suddenly Bondita started to feel hot. She with difficulty sat on bed and called Batuk.

Bondita saw that Anirudh was sleeping peacefully, not wanting to break Anirudh's sleep, Bondita in half sleepy state got up from bed and opened the windows. She came back and lied down on bed. The cold winds didn't help Bondita. She started fanning herself with the her hand but suddenly screamed in pain.

Anirudh : Kya hua?

Bondita : Baccha..bacha...

Ani : Bacha? Your water broke?

Bondita nodded and lied on the bed.

Anirudh: Mein gaadi nikalna hoon. Hospital..

Bondita: Hos..Hospital jaane ka samay nhi hai pati babu.

Anirudh didn't listen to her and ran outside. Hearing Bondita's scream all the family members came. Anirudh went outside and soon came back with the doctor. Bondita's pain was intensifying. Dai maa wasn't in the village as she had gone to her grand daughters marraige.

Reeta and Naina tried calm her down but the pain was intensifying.
Anirudh was impatiently sitting on the sofa , tapping his feet on the ground. Som and Batuk tried to calm him down but all in vain. Bondita's scream was piercing his heart.

Kaka was praying to Durga Maa for his Bahu and grandchild safety while Binoy was continuously watching his watch and adjusting his specs.

After 2 hours they heard a baby'scrying voice. Doctor came with a huge smile on her face and said : Mubarak ho Zamindaar Babu. Lala hua hai.

Anirudh ran inside the room and saw that Bondita was lying on the bed, exhausted. He ran towards her and hugged her. Bondita hugged him back. She broke the hug and pointed towards Naina. Naina wrapped a cloth around the baby and gave a smile to Anirudh She came towards Anirudh and asked him to hold the baby. He stood up and took slow steps and said : Mera beta?

Naina nodded and asked him to hold the baby but he denied.

Anirudh : Nahi yeh kitna chota hai. Gir gaya toh? Lag nhi jayegi?

Bondita faceplamed while the others laughed.
Naina: Nahi Dada. Isko peeche se aise pakdo aur neck ko support do. Kuch nhi hoga.

Anirudh did as he was told and laughed : Mera beta.
He hugged the baby lightly and walked towards Bondita. Naina helped Bondita to sit and Anirudh gave Bondita the baby. Bondita bursted into tears and hugged the baby.

Anirudh: hello bacha. Mein apka baba hoon.

Bondita: Aur mein Maa.

Kaka : Aree hume humare pote ka chehra toh dekhne do.

Binoy : pehele mein dekhunga.

Kaka : Kyun? Hum dekhenge pehle.

Binoy : Nhi mein.

Naina : Bas Bas dono dekh lijiyega. Pehle Bondita aur bache ko araam toh karne do.

Bondita : Nahi Naina koi baat nhi. Baba , kaka sasoor ji yeh lijiye. Apne pote ka chehra dekh lijiye.

Kaka and Binoy took the baby in their arms and played with him while the baby gave a toothless smile and laughed.

Som : boudi aur Bache ko araam karne dete hai.

Bani and saina came running from their room and said: Hume apne bhai ko dekhna hai.

Reeta: Lo. Harsh bhi naachne laga godh mein baithe baithe. Isko bhi apne chote bhai ko dekhna hai.

Som and Naina held the baby and said : Mein tumhara bada Kaka.

Naina : Aur mein Kaki.

Batuk : Arre mujhe bhi do.

Som gave the baby to Batuk.

Batuk made faces and the baby giggled.

Batuk : Mein chota Kaka.

Reeta : Aur mein Kaki.

Bani jumped on bed and said : Mujhe apne bhai ko dekhne do na.

Reeta smiled and made the baby lie down on the bed. Bani and Saina looked at the bed amusedly. Bani sat on the bed and made the baby lie on her lap.

Saina asked : Bondita Kaki.

Bondita: Haan.

Saina : Bacha kaise aaya?

Anirudh : Pari deke gyi hai.

All of them laughed. Binoy secretly took a picture of his children with their children. Kaka took the balayiya of the children and prayed to God for their happiness.
