Kalindi: Lata Ramesh! Dev Raghav Saudamini Bondita! Prerna ! Sab yahan aao jaldi.

Ramesh and Lata descending down the stairs : kya hua Maa?

Kalindi happily: sab ko aa Jane do. Phir bataungi.

Bondita and Raghav entering the scene while fighting.

Bondita: meine kaha na woh aayenge.

Raghav : aur mein keh rhi hoon na ki woh nhi aayega.

Bondita: aayenge.

Raghav : nhi aayega.

Kalindi: ohho. Choto bacha naa ki tomra. Kaino doojoni laurai korcho?
( Are you two small kids? Why are two fighting?)

Raghav and Dev : kichu na.

Kalindi : pakka?

They nodded their head.

Kalindi: dev aur saudamini kahan hai?

Yahan : Dev and Saudamini from behind.

Kalindi: Acha hua aa gye.
Prerna?

Saudamini: woh Rajni ko Sula rhi hai. Aati hi hogi. Lo naam liya aur aa gyi.

Prerna : thakumaa aapne kyun bulaya?

Kalindi : itni si thi tu jab tujhe god liya tha ab itni badi ho gyi ki vidhaa hone jaa rhi hai?

Prerna : mein samjhi nhi.

Kalindi : arre pagli tera vivaah hone jaa rha hai .

Prerna shocked and tearful eyes: kya?

Kalindi: Haan. Bohot ache khaandaan ka ladka hai. Aur tu usse jaanti bhi hai.

Prerna giving a fake smile : ko..kon hai thakumaa?

Kalindi: Anuraag  Basu.

Prerna's sad face turned into a happy one. But how?

Kalindi : Bachpan mein ek dusre ke saath khelte the na. Aur ek dusre ko itne ache se jaante ho. Toh socha kyun na vivaah kar liya jaye.

Prerna nodded with a shy smile : jii.

Kalindi : lo yeh toh abhi se hi laal ho rhi hai. Lata teri beti ke haath peele hone waale hai.

Lata walking towards Prerna and cupping her face : itni jaldi badi ho gyi. Kal hi toh god mein liya tha tujhe.

Prerna hugged her and said : Maa, vidhai se pehele rulayegi kya?

Lata : yeh lo isne toh vidhai bhi soch li.

Everyone laughed.
Saudamini and Bondita exchanged glances and smiled.

Bondita and Saudamini knew about Anuraag and Prerna's love. They were scared to tell the family. One day three ladies Saudamini, Bondita and Prerna were talking. Prerna excused herself for the washroom while Rajni came running and said : Pishi ! Maa !

Flashback.

Bondita and Saudamini: kya hua?

Rajni: prerna pishi ke liye chitthi aayi hai.

Bondita opened and read the letter and shock was evident on her face.

Saudamini took it and read it.

Both looked at eachother with a mischief smile.

Prerna came and said: lo aa gyi mein.
Kya hua aise kyun dekh rhe ho mujhe.

Saudamini and Bondita: yeh Anuraag kon hai?

They told Thakumaa about this.
Though Thakumaa was reluctant to do so but for Prernas happiness she agreed. Moreover Basu's were their family friends. She trusted them.

Bondita left the place and went to her room. Saudamini left behind her and entered her room.

Everyone were having a normal conversation when a post man came.

Somnath took the letter and opening it he smiled.

Binoy : kya hua, som ? Aise kyun muskura rhe ho?

Batuk : dada ki girlfriend ne chitti bheji  hogi!

Somnath frowned while Binoy and Kaka rolled their eyes. Anirudh smacked his head.

Som : tujhe toh mein baad mein dekhta hoon.
Baba yeh mere dost ke shaadi ka invitation hai. Anuraag Basu. Hum sab ko amantrit kiya hai.

Batuk : sab vivaah kar rhe hain. Mera bhi karao.Mere dono dada vivaahit hai. Iss ghar ko choti bahu chahiye ya nahi.

Binoy: pehele bade toh ho jao. Abhi bhi coco milk Peete ho.

Batuk frowned while others laughed.

Binoy : vivaah kiske saath ho rha hai Anuraag ka?

Somnath shocked : Prerna...Das.

The word Das gained everyone's attention. Anirudhs heart started beating fast, he whispered: Das! Bondita?

Batuk : pure Kolkata mein ek hi Das thode na hai.

Som : par..

A small chit fell from the envelope.

Somnath: dada..aap ke liye.

With shivering and tearful eyes he held it .

Saudamini: Bondita kya hua? Aise wahan se chali kyun aayi?

Bondita: kuch nhi boudi. Bas..

Saudamini smiling lightly: Anirudh ki yaad aa rhi hai?

Bondita looked at her and hugged her.
She started to cry.

Saudamini: Bondita, baba, ro kyun rhi ho? Hmm.

Bondita: didi mujhse ab aur..aur nhi hoga. Mujhe pati babu ke paas jaana hai.

Saudamini , caressing her hairs : Bondita. Tum usse zaroor milogi.

Bondita: kab didi? Das saal beet gye. Das saal se yeh diya bujhne nhi diya iss aas mein ki woh aayenge. Humara virah khatam hoga. Par ...

Saudamini: jald milogi Bondita. Bohot jald.

Bondita: aapko kaise Pata?

Saudamini shrugging : Intuition maybe!

Bondita: pakka?

Saudamini: Haan.
Acha chalo mein chalti hoon. Warna tumhare dada ...

Dev,downstairs: mishti..

Saudamini: lo.

Bondita chuckled while Saudamini turned to leave. Bondita went to the swing and looked outside while Saudamini turned back and thoughts Do din baad Milan hai. Taiyaar rehna bondita ".
And walked away.

Anirudh read the chit and smiled.

Kaka : Anirudh batao na bahu ne kya likha hai isme.

Anirudh: Bondita ne nhi. Mini ne likha hai.

Family : kya?

Anirudh: Haan.

Kaka : kya likha hai uss ladki ne ?

Binoy : da, uska naam saudamini hai.

Kaka : tumhe uske naam ki badi fikar jo rhi hai.

Binoy rolled his eyes.

Batuk : kya likha hai didi ne dada?

Anirudh smiled and turned : taiyaariyan karo. Hum Kolkata jayenge.

Binoy frowning: kyun?

Anirudh, smiling: Apne bete aur bahu ka Milan nhi dekhenge kya?

The family shed happy tears and rejoiced.

Anirudh thinking : Mein aa rha hoon Bondita.

Das Baadi.

Bondita had fallen asleep on the swing.
The cold winds made her cheeks turn a little red and she smiled.

2 Days Later.

Today was the engagement ceremony. All the business partners, relatives and villagers were called to attend the ceremony and bless the couple.
The function was taking place in Das Baadi. The Das Family were busy welcoming the guests.

Roy Chowdhary Family stood at the entrance of the house. Dev and Raghav saw Anirudh and the rest of the family.
Confused why did they come, they came masking their face with stern expression.

Dev : Aap log yahan? Kyun aaye hai?

Raghav : meri choti ko dard deke sukoon nhi mila ki yahan bhi aa gye.

Anirudh smiling : Mein gaya kahan tha? Bondita ke dil mein basa hua tha. Humare raaste chahe koi bhi alag karne ki koshish kyun na kare, hum mil hi jayenge.

Raghav and Dev had a little smile on their face but masked it.

Anuraag saw the RCs and came joyfully.

Anuraag: Aa gye aap log? Mein aap hi ka intezaar kar rha tha.

They hugged eachother.
Som : Anuraag. Kaise ho mere dost.

Anuraag: mein badhiya. Tu bata!

Breaking the hug he smiled at the family and greeted them.

Dev : Anuraag. Tum jaante ho inhe?

Anuraag: business partner hai aur Mera dost Som bhi. Isliye invite kar liya.
Aree aap log khade kyun hai? Aayiye na andar.

Dev and Raghav let Anirudh and the other family members in.

Dev and Raghav giving a look to eachother left for their respective work.

Anuraag: Aur batayiye humari boudi kaisi hai?

Som : ek dam badhiya.

Anuraag: kya naam tha unka? Bondita right?

Som was about to speak when he heard her voice. Broken.

Naina: kya? Bon..dita?

Inside the ceremony Anirudh was looking for his Bondita but she was no where to be seen. He was desperately searching for someone when he bumped into Ramesh.

Ramesh : careful young man.

Anirudh: I am sorry sir.

Ramesh : kisi ko dhoond rhe ho shayad?

Anirudh: apni patni ko!

Ramesh : oh. Jald hi mil jayegi. Bheed hai na.

Anirudh: shotti mil jayegi?

Ramesh smiling : Mere Dada ek cheez kaha karte the.
"Jo milne ke liye baane ho unhe koi alag nhi kar sakta".

Anirudh smiled : thank you sir.

Ramesh : mention not beta. Acha I will meet you later.

Anirudh nodded and Ramesh left.

Anirudh was looking for Bondita when someone tapped his shoulder.

Anirudh: Saudamini?

Saudamini: Ohh mein yaad hoon tumhe. Kya baat. Mujhe laga bhool gye Hoge.

Anirudh: bachpan ke dost ko koi bhool sakta hai kya bhala?

Saudamini: meine jo kiya uske baad bhi?

Anirudh: tumne jo kiya uske liye maaf karna galat hota. par tum jo mujhe aur Bondita ko milane ke liye kar rhi ho ,uske liye kar sakta hoon.

Saudamini smiled and nodded.

Anirudh: par woh hai kahan?

Saudamini: sabar karo Anirudh.

Anirudh: Das saal se wahi kar rha hoon.

Saudamini: toh thoda aur sahi.

Anirudh: ab aur nhi saudamini.

Saudamini: thode der mein sagai hogi. Sabka dhyaan sagai mein hoga. Ussi samay chale jaana.

Anirudh nodded.

Saudamini went towards the guests.

Here Bondita was getting ready in her room. She had worn a red banarasi saree with little jewelleries. She was feeling different today. Something positive and special. She felt as if he was here. Near her. But shrugging off her thoughts she went down.

The ceremony had began.

Anirudh taking the opportunity was about to leave when he saw someone standing near a pillar with tears. He felt as if he knew her.

Bondita turned and raising her saree a bit she ran upstairs.

Anirudh was confused but soon his confusion cleared away when he saw her feet. The Payal.

He whispered : Bondita.
And ran behind her.

Saudamini watching all this closely and smilingly.
Dev came and said: muskaan ke peeche ka raaz?

Saudamini: Milan.

Dev : kiska?

Saudamini : do premiyon ka.

Dev : premiyon ... Matlab Anirudh aur Bondita? Asked with wide eyes.

Saudamini: Haan.

Dev : Saudamini tum..

Saudamini: chup chap yahin khadr raho. Jo ho rha hai hone do. Aaj tum toh kya , bhagwaan bhi nhi rok sakta unhe milne se.

Dev thought for a while and sighed.

Upstairs.

Anirudh : Bondita ruk jao please.

While Bondita keeping a hand on her mouth ran aimlessly. She couldn't believe that he was here. She wanted to meet him desperately but like this was too shocking for her.
She heard him calling her name but she suddenly didn't have the courage to speak,to turn and run to him.

Anirudh: Bondita..tumse milne ke liye 10 saaal se tadpa hoon. Ab apne pati babu ko apna chehra bhi nhi dikhaogi?

Still Bondita didn't listen to him and stopped near a room. She calmed herself and ran inside.
She hid herself in the balcony.

Anirudh entered and told: Bondita..aur mat tadpao! Please.
He broke down into tears and fell on his knees.

Bondita wanted to run to him and hug him but couldn't get any strength.

Anirudh after a while wiping his face said : Bondita agar nhi milna toh koi baat nhi. Humara milna shayad nhi likha hai.

Bondita nodded in no and sat their crying with hands on her mouth.

Anirudh got up and turned to leave.
Bondita heard his foot steps fading away.
She got up and shouted : Nahi. Mat jao. Please.

Anirudh stopped and closed his eyes in relief. He heard her voice after 10 long years.
He opened his eyes and turned only to see that Bondita had turned back.

Anirudh: ab kya meri shakal bhi nhi dekhogi?

Bondita slowly turned and stood there ,her face down.

Anirudh: upar dekho.

Both came infront of eachother after a wait of 10 years. The sky was clear with full of thinking and shining stars. It was Purnima. Full moon. The trees , flowers and the birds sang and danced with the winds. 

Bondita whispered: Pati Babu...

Anirudh whispered : Bondita...
Wiping his face : mere paas aao na.

Bondita: aap aayiye. Mere kadam tham gye hain.

Anirudh slowly walked to her and cupped her face with both of hands.

With teary eyes yet a smile : meri Bondita. Meri Chanchala.

Bondita kept her one hand on his and other on his heart.

In fraction of 2 secs , they hugged eachother and let out all the emotions which they had hidden from the world in these 10 years.

Kalindi was watching this from behind the door : mein inko milne nhi dungi.

Someone from behind : Acha ?

Kalindi : kusum?

Kusum walking towards her and said : Milne se koi nahi rok sakta.

Kalindi : kusum tum meethu ki pishi thakumaa ho! Koi fikar hai yaa nhi?
Anirudh ne jo kiya woh..

Kusum : jo kiya galat kiya. Maanti hoon. Par usse uska pachtava hai. Lekin abhi jo aap karne ka soch rhi hai woh galat hai.

Kalindi: tujhe koi fikar hai yaa nhi?

Kusum: mujhe toh hai. Lekin aapko hai?

Kalindi : Haan hai.

Kusum: tih yeh fikar unn daslon mein kahan chala gya tha?
