The next morning, Bondita woke up with a severe headache.

Bondita-ahh! Sar mein itna dard kyun ho rha hai.

She went inside the washroom to freshenup. She directly came out in the school dress. She was tying her hairs. After trying it she came down and saw that the whole family was sitting with hands on their head.

Bondita- sab ke sar mein dard hai kya?
Asked Bondita gaining attention of everyone.

Kaka - Haan beta. Oh maa go. Beta ek cup chai bana do na.

Others - humare liye bhi.

Bondita- chai, nhi nimbu paani. Ruko laati hoon.
Saying this she went to the kitchen.

After a while she came back with the glasses of lemon water.

Anirudh too came holding his head.

Bondita saw him and again became expressionless.

Anirudh- Bihari,nimbu paani.

Bihari was in the kitchen ,so Bondita despite not wanting,went towards him and gave him the glass of Lemon water.

Anirudh saw her,gave a little smile to which she ignored , making Anirudh frown.

Madhav came from outside with Manorama.

Kaka when saw Manorama, said - Anirudh tumhari patni aaj kal zyada Bahar nhi jaa rhi?

Anirudh,non-chalantly- Par Bondita toh yahin hai.

All the family members stopped working and looked at Anirudh.
Kaka and Binoy , amused
Som and batuk smirking
Naina being neutral
Madhav and Manorama inwardly laughing.
Bondita with wide eyes was looking at Anirudh.

Bondita- par mein aapki patni thodi na hoon.

Anirudh realised what he said and clearing his throat went inside the study.

Bondita asked for her leave and then Naina and Batuk went to school with her.

The day in the school wasn't good for Bondita. She was quite uncomfortable with all the stares that one of her male teacher was giving her.
She one or two times looked at him accusingly but the teacher pretended as if he wasn't seeing her.

Bondita while returning stopped at a shop,to buy some essentials for school when she felt as if someone was following her.She looked back but no one.Batuk came and asked but Bondita didn't say anything because she herself was not sure.

She reached the Haveli and quietly went inside.She heard some laughing sounds.She looked towards the direction to find a family was sitting and laughing.
Binoy saw Bondita and Naina, he came towards them and said- yeh lo.Naam liya aur haazir hai gye.Yeh rhi meri do betiyan.Bondita aur Naina.

Kaka - Bondita, Naina yeh hai humare dost, yaani ki Madhav ke maata pita.

Bondita and Naina smiled and bent down to take the blessings.

Madhavs parents - Aayushmaan Bhava.

Madhav mother,looking at Bondita- koto shundor re tui( How beautiful you are!). Trilochan da sirf bol rhe the,par dekha toh jaana ki sach bol rhe the.

Naina - kaaki mein sundar nhi hoon kya?

Madhav- arre aap toh aasamaan se utri aphasara hain.

Som ,cleared his throat and said- aur woh aphsara shaadi shudaa hai.

All laughed and said - Haan Haan Pata hai.
Som and Naina blushed and smiled shyly.

Madhavs dida - arre par sundar hone ka kya faida. Pati ne toh chod diya na. Dusra vivaah bhi kar liya. Chodi hui aurat hai re tu. Agar mein teri jagah hoti na ,toh ab tak gangaa mein doob kar ...

Madhav,angrily- Didaa.

Madhavs father - Maa kaisi baatein kar rhi hain aap.

At this time Anirudh wasn't present in the house. He had gone to court.

Som - dekhiye didaa.Aap humse aude aur umar dono mein badi hai,isliye izzat se baat kar rha hoon. Meri behen ke baare mein kuch nhi sununga.

Madhav Didaa - Trilochan, baat karne ki tameez...

Madhav - Didaa. Baat karne ki tameez hai usme par aap mein nhi hai. Kab kahan kaise baat karni hai yeh aap ko nhi Pata. Afsoos ki baat hai na,Didaa.

Madhav mother- Madhav, badon se aise baat nhi karte.

Madhav, ignoring- jo karna hai kijiye, mein jaa rha hoon.
And he went away from there angrily.

Naina and Bondita looked at eachother and sighed.Bondita greeted everyone and left towards her room.
After changing, she was going downstairs when she saw Madhav's room open.
She knocked at first, but no reply came.
She went inside but found that no one was there.
She was about to move away when she saw something on his bed which made her eyes widened. She picked it up and then only Madhav entered.

Madhav- kya kar rhi ho yahan?

Downstairs, Living room.

Anirudh had come from the court and headed towards his study when his telephone rang.

Anirudh- hello.

Person - Anirudh Roy Chowdhary bol rhe hai?

Anirudh- jii. Aap kon?

Person - I am speaking from Dalhousie.

Anirudh- Ohh I am sorry,that I couldn't recognize you. Umm , boliye kya baat hai.

Person - Mr. Roy Chowdhary, woh aapne apni wife ka admission ke liye yahan arzi di thi na.

Anirudh- jii. Any problem?

Person - No No not at all. Woh actually aaj shaam ko hum unka interview lena chahte hain, so that we can proceed further. Can we come?

Anirudh- yeah sure why not. Time?

Person - Around 4.30.

Anirudh - okay sir. Thank you so much. Have a nice day.

Person- rukiye rukiye Mr Roy Chowdhary, abhi baat puri nhi hui hai.
Aaj agar aapki patni interview paas karti hai toh unhe ek hafte ke baad hi humare Dalhousie mein aana hoga,without any delay. Is that okay?

This was a shock for Anirudh.
He kept mum and started think about his decision. He was brought back by his thoughts , when he heard the person asking about him.

Person - Mr.Roy Chowdhary, are you there?

Anirudh- yeah..yeah I am sorry. Umm..okay I have no problem. She can go with you..after a week.

Person - Aapki Awaaz ko kya hua?

Anirudh - Nothing, it's just..

Person - I understand. Anyway, I will send the interviewer by 4.30.

Anirudh- sure , have a great day ahead.

The person hung up the call,leaving Anirudh in his thoughts.

All the moments spent with Bondita was going inside his mind. When he was thinking about all these a light smile was playing on his face while his eyes was full of tears.

Anirudh- kuch din baad tumhari awaaz sunne ke liye Taras jaunga mein. Bohot yaad ayegi tumhari. Abhi bhi humare beech dooriyan hai par tum saamne hoti ho toh tasali hoti hai par jab chali jaogi toh kaise rahunga?

Wiping his tears , he thought- Bondita ko jaake bata deta hoon ki uska interview hai.

He went towards her 'new' room and knocked the door. Finding no response he went inside only to find it empty.
He came out being confused.

Anirudh,thinking- Bondita dopahar ko kahan jaa sakti hai. Abhi toh usko naahi hi koi kaam hota hai ghar mein.

He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't look in front and bumped to Bihari.

Anirudh- Bihari dekh ke Jaya karo.

Bihari - par maalik aap dekh ke nhi chal rhe the.

Anirudh- acha yeh sab chodo aur yeh batao ki Bondita ko kahin dekha hai?

Bihari - Haan maalik.

Anirudh- kahan.

Bihari - Madhav Babu ke kamre mein.

Anirudh, frowning - kya ?

Bihari - Haan aur woh..

Biharii - Kaka from downstairs.

Bihari went away leaving Anirudh in pool of thoughts. Batuk and Som heard the conversation and smirked.

Anirudh, mummering- Bondita, mafhav ke kamre mein kya kar rhi hai.

Pretending as if they didn't see Anirudh they started to talk among themselves.
Batuk to Som - Haan aur Pata hai meine yeh bhi dekha ki Madhav dada ne Bondita ke haath bhi pakda hua tha.

Anirudh when heard this, got angry and started to March towards Madhavs room.

Batuk called him in between but Anirudh walked away ignoring him

In Madhavs Room.

Madhav made Bondita sit on his bed and knelt down before her.

Bondita- toh tum woh Faraar krantikaari ho.

Madhav sighed and nodded.

Bondita- bataya kyun nhi.

Madhav - Sakhi har ek cheez ka usool hota hai. Hum krantikaariyan apne pehchaan ke baare mein kisi ko nhi batate kyun ki hum kisi pe bharosa nhi kar sakte. Aur agar humare baare mein kisi ko Pata chale toh hum usse...

Bondita, horrified- maar dete ho? Tum mujhe bhi maar doge kya ?

Madhav chuckled and held bonditas hands - pagal ho kya? Madhav kya kabhi apni sakhi ko maar sakta hai kya? Hum aise hi kisi ko nhi maar dete. Hum tab tak uss insaan ko nhi chodte jab tak woh humare bharosa ke layak na ho. Samjhi? Pagol mei.

Bondita- Acha phir theek hai. Par mein pagal nhi tum pagol maanush ho.

Madhav laughed and Bondita joined him.

Anirudh who was on his way to Madhav's room ,heard the voice - yeh hasne ki awaaz? Kaha tha iss madhav se ki bondita se door rehne ko par nhi..

He hastily went towards the room only to stop in his way.

He saw that they were laughing at something and was at relief that Madhav wasn't holding Bondita's hand. But soon frown crossed his face when he saw that Madhav was pulling Bondita's cheeks and Bondita was letting him to do it.

He didn't know the reason but he felt insecure seeing them together.
Frustrated by his thinking ,he turned and left. While moving ,away his hand hit the vase kept on the table but he cared less and walked away but something dropped from his pocket.

Hearing some noise Madhav and Bondita came out of the room .

Bondita- awaaz kahan se aayi?

Madhav - Pata nhi yahan toh koi dikh hi nhi rha.

Bondita and Madhav - shayad billi hogi.
Both looked at eachother and laughed.

Bondita- acha mein chalti hoon,padhne.

Madhav - okay. Bye Sakhi.

Bondita- byee.

Bondita was on her way to the room when Bihari called her.

Bondita- Haan,bhari kaaka boliye.

Bihari- woh chote maalik aapko bula rhe hain

Bondita- mujhe? Kyun?

Bihari- hume nhi malum.aap jaake dekh lijiye.

Bondita- theek hai aap jaiyiye.

Bihari nodded nd went away while Bondita went towards Anirudhs room.

Near a Bungalow.

A British woman - Oh my God John. This is where we are going to live. It's really beautiful.

John - I know dear. I have specially built it for you.

2 little girls- Dad, can we play in this place.

John smiling- of course sweetheart. All of this is yours only.

Betty - Not before you two freshenup. Understood?

The girls ignoring their mother went inside running.

Betty - Olivia? Elsa? Hey,how can you ignore me and go inside?

John,laughing - let them be Betty.

Betty - those two have gone on you only. Never listening to me.

John - hey, it's just not me who brought them in this world.

Betty- what do you mean??

John - well you know I was just wondering why don't we bring a brother for my two little princesses.

Betty- Are being serious right now?

Saying this she left inside .

Bondita knocked the door.
Anirudh asked her to come in .

Bondita- kahiye kya kehna hai.

Anirudh- aaj shaam ko Dalhousie se interviewer aayenge. Tumhara interview lene. Taiyaar rehna.

Bondita- theek hai. Aur kuch..?

Anirudh nodded in no and Bondita turned to ho when Anirudh utterd- Ruko.

Bondita- kya hua?

Anirudh - Kuch der pehele mein tumhe dhoond rha tha. Kahan thi tum?

Bondita- ohh. Madhav ke saath thi.

Anirudh- kyun?

Bondita- kyun ka kya Matlab? Dost hai Mera. Mil nhi sakti kya?

Anirudh- nhi mil sakti ho,par milne ki wajah?

Bondita- Apko kyun bataon?

Anirudh- kyun nhi bata sakti.

Bondita- meri marzi.

Anirudh- Bondita. Batao.

Bondita- aapko kabse meri zindagi mein itni diljuspy hone lagi?

Anirudh - aisi baat nhi hai ..

Bondita- toh kaisi baat hai? Aur aap kis rishte se mujhse yeh sawal puch rhe hain kya mein jaan sakti hoon?

Anirudh- mein tumhara...

Bondita- aap mere kya? Rakshak? Dost? Shikshak? Yaa...Pati?

Anirudh looked at her .

Bondita- ohh sorry, ab toh hum pati patni nhi hai. Aur naahi dost. Aur Rakshak toh bilkul bhi nhi. Toh shikshak hai aap mere. Lekin shikshak kisi bhi shishya ki neeji zindagi mein dakhal nhi deta. Toh aap kyu de rhe hain?

Anirudh- Bondita mujhe tumhari chinta thi isliye..

Bondita- meri chinta agar aapko hoti na toh aapne jo kiya woh nhi karte. Aur mein apni chinta khud kar sakti hoon.

Anirudh- mujhe tumhari chinta kal,aaj aur humesha rahegi Bondita...

Bondita- jhoot.kehte the ki aapko jhoot pasand nhi , lekin yahan toh aap khud jhoot bol rhe hai. Agar itni hi chinta thi toh dusra vivaah kyun kiya? Jawab dijiye.

Anirudh yet again kept mum.

Bondita- Kya hua? Mujhe aapki mooh se Awaaz sunai nhi de rhi. Boliye. Chup kyun hai?

Anirudh, sighed - Bondita..

Bondita- Rehne dijiye. Mujhe Jaake taiyaari karni hai interview ki.

Saying this she left with tears in her eyes leaving a dejected Anirudh with tears.

Anirudh- I am sorry and he cried leaning to the the bed.

Madhav was roaming around the Haveli when stone came through a Window. A paper was wrapped around it.

Madhav read the paper and looked around. He then was leaving towards the door when Kaka stopped him.

Kaka - Madhav. Beta kahan jaa rhe ho?

Madhav - Kaka woh Bahar jaa rha tha. Kuch kaam hai.

Madhavs father - kaisa kaam? Jabse hum aaye hain ,tab se dekh rhe hain tum humesha kaam kaam kehke Bahar chale jaate ho. Aisa konsa kaam hai bhai?

Madhav- baba aap kya bhool gye? Mein ek doctor hoon. So patients...

Madhav - acha acha theek hai jao.

Madhav nodded and greeting he was about to leave when again Madhavs father stopped him.

Madhav's father- beta yeh tumhare haath mein kya hai?

Madhav not knowing what to say stood there mum.

Madhav's father - bol Madhav.

Madhav- baba woh..

Bondita from behind - Kaka,woh meri samaan ki parchi hai. Kuch samaan chahiye tha.

Madhav - Haan.. Haan baba bondita ko kuch samaan chahiye tha toh isliye yeh ussi ki succhi hai.

Kaka - arre par tum bihari yaa koyli se keh deti. Madhav ko kyun pareshaan kiya.

Madhav - nhi nhi kaka. Bondita ne pareshaan nhi kiya. Woh toh bihari kaka ko bolne jaa rhi thi ki meine rok liya. Waise bhi Bahar jaa rha tha,toh socha iske liye le aaon.

Kaka - jaisi tumhari marzi beta.

Madhav's father and kaka left the place,while Madhav mouthed thank you to which Bondita nodded with a smile. Madhav left the haveli and Bondita to her room.

After sometime.

Bihari called Anirudh out of his study.

Anirudh- kya hua bihari?

Bihari - maalik aapse koi milne aaya hai.

Anirudh- lagta hai Dalhousie se honge. Theek hai tum jao.

Bihari- jii.

Anirudh greeted the interviewer and took him to the study.
Anirudh asked koyli to call bondita as the interviewer had come.

Bondita soon came inside the study.
Anirudh took his leave

Interviewer- hello dear. How are you?

Bondita - Hello sir. I am fine. I hope you are doing well too.

Interviewer- By the mercy of God I am.

Bondita smiled .

Interviewer - have a seat.

Bondita - thank you sir.

Interviewer - So,shall we start? Are you ready?

Bondita- yes sir.

Interviewer - are you nervous?

Bondita- Not really.

Interview- Okay great. So let's start with your name.

Bondita- sure. My name is Bondita Arvind Das.

Interviewer - okay..but Mr.Roy Chowdhary said you were a Roy Chowdhary?

Bondita - Well I was. I am not married to Mr.Roy Chowdhary in present. Our marraige broke off. So basically I am just his student right now.

Interviewer - okay,no problem. You said your name was ..

Bondita- Bondita Arvind Das.

Interviewer- Are you his daughter? I mean Barrister Arvind Das?

Bondita- yes I am.

Interview- my goodness. It's so nice to meet you.

Bondita- thank you sir.

Interviewer - okay, now we have wasted enough time. Let's start.

Bondita nodded.

Interviewer - Who is Alva Edison?

Bondita- Thomas Alva Edison,was an American inventor and businessman who has been described as America's greatest inventor. He had created the first still life of Electric light bulb.

Interviewer- good. Okay now what will happen if you keep silver chloride outside ,in the sun?

Bondita- sir. If we keep silver chloride sunlight it gets decomposed into silver and chlorine . It turns grey in color . Silver bromide also gets decomposed in the same way.

Interviewer- amazing dear. Okay now answer this.

Madhav- sab tayiyariyan ho gyi?

Saathi- Haan.

Manorama- dhyaan rahe,kisi bhi halat mein hume yeh karna hai. Saare hatyaar taiyaar hai?

Madhav- koi bhi chukh nhi hone chahiye.

Saathi - Haan.

Madhav - good.

Manorama- par ek pareshaani hai.

Madhav - kya?

Manorama- hum wahan jayenge kaise?

Madhav- sochna toh padega.

Manorama- Madhav , do din baaki hai. Kuch jaldi socho.

Madhav - hmm.
Madhav looked outside the window towards the sky.

The interview ended with a great note. Both came out of the study and the interviewer met with an impatient Anirudh.

Interviewer- Mr. Roy Chowdhary.

Anirudh- yeah.. ohh here you are.

Anirudh to Bondita- kaisa tha? Sab bol payi na? Ghabrahat toh nhi hui?

Bondita- sab acha gya. Aur Ghabrahat nhi hui mujhe .

Interviewer- I must say student is very intelligent.We would be privileged to have her as our student there.

Bondita-thank you sir. Anirudh smiled.

Interviewer- So as we had discussed, she has to come to Dalhousie after a week. Hope you remember.

Anirudh suddenly remembered the conversation and said - yes sir I do. Umm I will definitely send her there after a week.

Anirudh took the interviewer with him to drop him outside the house. Bondita was standing there shocked .

Tears fell down from her eyes and said - ek hafte baad?

She wiped her tears furiously and marched towards Anirudh who was coming towards her only.

Bondita- aap apne aap ko samjhte kya hai?

Anirudh- Bondita kya hua?

Bondita- kya hua? Arre kya nhi hua?
Jab dekho apni man maani karte rehte hai aap.

The whole family came down.
Madhavs family had went outside to meet someone.

Kaka - kya hua Bahu?

Bondita- inse puchiye. Kya hua?

Binoy - ab tumne kya kiya Anirudh?

Anirudh- Baba meine kuch nhi kiya.

Binoy- toh kya bondita pagal ho gyi hai. Jo aise cheekh cheekh ke apne gale ko kharab karegi?

Anirudh sighed and kept mum .

Naina- Bondita, Anirudh babu kuch nhi bolenge , humesha ki tarah . Tu bata kya hua.

Bondita narrated everything. Anirudh had started to receive all the glares and mummerings.

Bondita- aur Pata hai,yeh baat mujhe inse nhi ,interviewer se mili. Jo baat inhe batani chahiye thi, woh mujhe interviewer bata ke gye.
Turning towards Anirudh, - aap apne aapnko samjhte kya hain? Koi bhagwaan? Jo har baar meri marzi jaane faisla lega? Meri zindagi ke faisla lene ka haq meine kisiko nhi diya hai Mr.Roy Chowdhary. Kisiko nhi.

She walked to leave the haveli ,when Kaka stopped - kahan jaa rhi ho Bondita?

Bondita- Bahar,thodi der akele rehne.

Som was about to follow her when she ,said - mere peeche koi nhi aayega.

She walked out of the Haveli.

In the market.

The greenwood family were out for a stroll as Betty and kids wanted to. Greenwood couldn't say no to them so he brought them out for a stroll.
Betty used to love shopping and she still does. She was roaming around the market, when she saw the people around her bending their heads down.
She and John were surprised.

Betty- Aap sab please apna sar mat jhukayiye. Hum aap hi ki tarah ek insaan hai.

John - yes please.

The villagers were shocked to hear Betty and John but nevertheless they obeyed them and got back to their work.

Betty saw a saree shop and she had an sudden urge to wear the saree. She pulled John with her. Olivia and Elsa were fascinated by the toys and food stalls.
They went to the toys shop and looked at the toys as if they were something precious as gold and silver.

Someone was watching each and every movement of Greenwood family.
The person saw that the two girls were all alone and their parents were in the saree shop.

Aiming a gun at the two girls,he was ready to shoot.

Bondita was roaming in the market, lost somewhere when she saw a person with gun aiming at someone. Looking towards his direction, her eyes widened in response.

Bondita, thinking- hay kanha jii.
She ran towards two girls to save them from the gunshot.

In the saree shop, the couple were busy buying the saree when John felt that his daughters weren't behind him.
He told Betty about this and was about to move away when both of them heard a gunshot. Widening their eyes they utterd - Olivia! Elsa !.
And ran outside but the security with which they were moving didn't let them go outside.

John - You idiot , my daughters are outside . Let me go.

Betty,crying- Please leave us,my daughters are outside.

The security didn't listen and said- Sir, our officers are looking for them only. Please calm down.

John with red eyes holding the collars of chief - Now listen to me Adam. If anything happens to daughters, even if it's a scratch in their skin, you won't be able to see tomorrow's sunrise.
Jerking him off,he tried to calm Betty who was busy praying to Jesus.

Here in the market all villagers started to run , after they heard the gunshot. They thought that it was some British officials who were roaming around.
Bondita, protected the girls , hiding them in her arms and pulling them close to their chest. The girls were scared , crying and constantly calling out their parents name. Bonditas right arm was fully covered with blood but her Durgaa Maa was with her that's why the bullet just slightly passed the skin but she was having a major blood loss.

After 5 mins , the market was surrounded with eere silence. John and Betty came out of the shop and shouted - Olivia! Betty!

Bondita became unconscious because of the blood loss. Olivia and Elsa yet again started to cry as they were scared and started to wake Bondita.

Olivia and Elsa - Aunt , please wake up. Aunty please. We are scared.

But in response they got silence.

Betty broke down but John still called their names with tearful eyes.

Suddenly one of the security noticed something and said- Sir , look their.

John saw in the direction and a gush of relief ran across his face.

Betty and John ran in the direction.

Betty- Olivia! Elsa.

Olivia and Elsa- Mumma! Dad!

The four shared a group hug and cried their heart out.

Betty and John breaking the hug - Thanks to Jesus, you two are okay. Do you even know how kuch we were scared?

Betty- Mumma, we need to save that Aunty. She saved his from the gunshot.

John looked and was horrified.

John - Jesus.

He ran towards Bondita and checked her pulse. He sighed in relief.

Betty, worrying - John , how is she ?

John - she is alive. Let's take her to the hospital.
Picking her up in his arms , he moved to take her to the hospital, with Betty and his two daughters behind him.

In RC Haveli.

Hearing Anirudh's shout everyone had surrounded him .

Kaka - kya hua Anirudh? Aise cheekh kyun?

Anirudh- Bon...Bondita.

Binoy - kya hua Bondita ko ?

Anirudh- Pata nhi bas man mein ek ajeeb si bechain hai. Bura sapna dekha.

Binoy - woh theek hogi Anirudh. Calm down.

Anirudh- mein jab tak usko dekh nhi leta, tab tak mein shaant nhi baith sakta.
Saying this he was about to move away when , someone entered the haveli.

Person - Malik ! Malik.

Kaka - kya hua?

Person- Bondita maalkin..

Anirudh- kya hua bondita ko?

Person - unko goli lag gyi hai. Kisi ne bazaar mein do angrez ki betiyon pe hamla karne ka socha tha. Aur kiya bhi. Par Bondita malkin ne unhe bachaya aur goli khud pe leli.

Anirudh fell down on the floor being numb.

Madhav and Manorama were shocked to hear the person. They weren't sure if it was ...

Binoy, enraged- kon tha woh? Kisne yeh kiya?

Person - shayad koi Krantikaari tha.

When Manorama and Madhav heard this , their eyes turned red due to anger and they clenched their fist.
Both of them utterd - Choduga/chodungi nhi.

Som - abhi Bondita kahan hai.

Person- woh angrezz unhe aspatal leke gye hain.
