((A/n: a little concept pic for the chapter))
Mark and Youngjae sat on the bed. Mark had his arms around Youngjae as he lightly cried into his shoulder, slowly calming down.
"It's okay," Mark reassured him, "he's drunk. He's not in his right mind."
Youngjae took deep breaths, trying to slow his breathing.
"What were you going anyways?" Mark asked.
Youngjae slowly pulled away and wiped his tears away with the back of his hand.
"I came in, but I didn't see you. So I sat on the couch and played with Coco until you came to find me," he explained.
"Youngjae, how was I supposed to know you were here?" Mark asked, concerned. Youngjae had no social experience, so it wasn't a surprise to him that he didn't know what to do in a house full of crowded people. But he thought he would at least go looking for him. "Why didn't you just go look for me?"
Youngjae shrugged, not knowing how to respond. He looked down and fiddled with his fingers. He was completely embarrassed. He felt so stupid that he didn't know what to do in a place like this. He wished he'd never come. He should've just stayed home and watched all of the drunken people stumble out of the house and into cabs on their way home.
"Youngjae..." Mark said softly while taking hold of Youngjae's hands. He hated seeing the younger boy in such a state. Every cell in his body just wanted him to be happy. He felt this attraction to him the was greater than anything he had felt for anyone before.
Youngjae looked up with big sad eyes. His cheeks turned a light pink as he was just a bit embarrassed to look Mark in the eye.
"I invited you because I thought it would be fun having you here. I really like your company and I thought my friends would too. But if you want to go back home, I won't stop you."
The feeling in Youngjae's chest that began the first day Mark moved in was greater than it ever had been before. It was tingly and it felt like butterflies were fluttering around inside of him.
And Mark wasn't any different. The past couple of weeks, the feelings he had for Youngjae grew and grew, and at this point in time, he wanted him to be his.
Youngjae lightly shook his head.
"No," he mumbled, "I wanna stay here... With you."
Mark smiled lightly and opened his moth to speak but was interrupted by Youngjae.
"Hyung?" He said, his face becoming a darker shade of red, "I think I... Like you."
