Usagi POV

Tanjirou has come into contact with Kibutsuji.

Tanjirou has come into contact with Kibutsuji.

....has come into contact with Kibutsuji.

....has come into contact with Kibutsuji.

....contact with Kibutsuji.

How!? How could that boy have seen the demon lord!? How could he have seen him!?

That demon is very cunning. He could change his appearances in order to deceive us. He could be anybody and walk right in front of our noses without us knowing it. That was why, over some centuries, no one from the corps have ever seen him.

Even after I and Toramaru-kun tirelessly scouting around to gather information, we have not yet find a single clue about the demon lord.

But, that boy...that Kamado Tanjirou, had met him in person and just in one glance! I do not know if that was just a pure luck or the boy truly has a great blessing, it doesn't erase the fact that he had met him. He had met Kibutsuji Muzan, the despicable demon lord!

Improbable! Improbable!

"Kazue-sama!"

I snapped back from my raging thoughts when I felt Toramaru-kun shook my shoulder. I saw him staring worriedly at me, and when I look at my surrounding, I swiftly realized that we already at the outside of the main building. The meeting was over and I did not even realized it. 

"Are you okay, Kazue-sama? You look unwell. Is this because of the news?"

Goodness gracious! Did - Did I show my shaken face throughout the meeting? This is not good. I shouldn't have lost my composure upon hearing that news. 

"Yes, I was dumbstruck by the news, but I'm fine. Sorry that I worried you." I managed to say that, after took a deep breath to calm my nerves.  

"And, we're still in the headquarters. You shouldn't have called me by that name, right Toramaru-niichan?" I smiled bubbly at him.

"Ah! I apolo - I mean - I'm sorry, Usagi."

"Iie...daijoubu! daijoubu!" I wave my hand, didn't mind the fact that he wrongly call my name. It doesn't matter since no one's around who could have heard our conversation.

Since, I had skipped a lot of things, I asked Toramaru-kun to explained briefly what had happened after Oyakata-sama spoke up about Tanjirou meeting Kibutsuji. 

Apparently, right after Oyakata-sama said that, the nine hashiras surprised as well, and bombarded Kamado with plenty of questions about the demon lord. But, Oyakata-sama quickly silenced them and told them that Kibutsuji had come to pursue Kamado. Fortunately, Kamado manage to loose from the pursuer. 

Oyakata-sama believed the fact that Kibutsuji had come to kill Kamado might have led some clues to us that could end this misery once and for all. Thus, he requested we - the hashira - to accept Kamado's circumstances at the moment.

Still, Shinazugawa-san make a ruckus to stated his denial. He burst into a room to prove Kamado's little sister was still an untrustworthy demon who will devour humans. But, he was once again silenced when the demon girl didn't attack Shinazugawa-san despite the fact that Shinazugawa-san had thrust his bloody arm in front of her. 

Turns out what had Urokodaki-san said was true then. That demon girl will never attack humans.

"And that boy also said he and his sister will definitely defeat Muzan."

I snorted, "What? He's got a nerve." 

"Well, the same goes to you, brat!" I saw Shinazugawa-san along with other eight hashiras stepped out from the building. His eyes flaring at me while the others look passively as usual.

"You finally have nerve to step the f*** out from your tomb, eh you insolent brat?"

"Shinazugawa! I told you to watch your mouth! Don't talk to my little sister like that!" 

"Hoh? Right....we haven't finished our f****** business back then." He smirked and unsheathed his katana. Seeing this, Toramaru-kun also unsheathed his katana but I pulled Toramaru-kun's sleeve. He turned his head to me and I slightly shook my head. 

"Stop it, niichan!" I turned to Shinazugawa-san and bowed. "I'm sorry, Shinazugawa-niisan, I knew I was being incompetent for never attend the meeting. Please forgive me and please don't fight! Friends aren't supposed to fight, right?" 

"Like hell I want to befriended with you two!"

"Shinazugawa-san. I think that was enough." This time, Kocho-san had decided to stepped up and stop the bickering. "She already apologized to Oyakata-sama and will receive punishment from him. You shouldn't have waste your energy with this kind of useless fight." she said with her usual laid back smile on her face.

"Umu! Well said, Kocho! We should to keep our energy to train and prepare our incoming battle with demons!"

"Agree...agree. Just let her be now, Shinazugawa. You just wasting your time."

"Tch!" Shinazugawa-san then sheathed his sword, and walked away without any words. The others following suit after, except the Love hashira, Kanroji Mitsuri-san, who is still bid me a nice farewell.

"Then, I'll take my leave as well. I need to prepare my medication for those three injured soldiers." the last person who bid me a farewell was the Insect hashira, Kocho Shinobu-san. She bowed a little to me and walked to the direction of her estate.

"Kocho-neesan!" I called her before she could walk any further. 

I innocently smiled at her. "May I help you treating them?" 

"Oh no, please don't bother." she turned around. "Besides, I'm not ready to welcome death in my house." and after she said that, she walked away. I stared at her back until I couldn't see her anymore.

"Usagi, what do you want to do now?" Toramaru-kun finally asked me.

What do I want to do now? 

"Well, I want to have a conversation with Kamado-niisan. But, since Kamado-niisan was being treated at Kocho-neesan's mansion, I guess, it'll be hard."  

"Do you need me to kidnap Kamado so you could talk to him?"

"EH?" I stared at Toramaru-kun, hoping what had he spoken before was just a joke. 

But, he kept his straight face, which means...

He was serious about the 'kidnapping Kamado-kun' thing. I sweatdropped, "P-please don't. I do want to talk with him, but it can wait. Just let him heal for now. Other than that, niichan, could you continue your investigation at red light district?"

"Okay. I'll do that. But, promise me you will wait for me in the headquarters or at least, in the Forest Estate and will not go out alone."

"Hai! Hai!"

"Good. Well, I'll go now." Toramaru-kun then submerged within the shadow.

Actually, there are many questions that I want to ask Kamado. How and where exactly he met Kibutsuji. What form did he take now? And why Kibutsuji tried to kill him?

Is it because he know the demon lord's current identity? But if that was all the reason, Kibutsuji could just simply changed his appearance again, so why bother to kill Kamado?

I sighed. Well, for now, I have to wait to get the answer. And just like Oyakata-sama had said, the sudden appearances of Kamado Tanjirou-kun and his sister might have some clues about Kibutsuji. 

I hope it was true. I hope we will finally have something that could turn the table. And until then....

"Please, wait a little while longer." I looked up to the darkening sky. "I'm nearly there, okaa-sama."

I feel so sad that Usagi disliked by other hashira TwT (except for Mitsuri, ofc! she think Usagi is cute XD)

Me: Why you guys disliked my cute Usagi? TwT
