4; kiss and tell 🌸
"You're as flat as a board."
I couldn't forget the look he had on yesterday as he said it to my face after his hand felt my chest. That shithead just insulted me and walked away alive.
I threw the pillow on the bed and began punching it, imagining that it was Jungkook's face. "Die, you rude ass!! How dare you call my boobs flat after touching them!? Die Jeon Jungkook!"
"Okay, you've officially lost it." Sydney rolled her eyes and uncrossed her legs. "Vee, boys are like that. They say stupid things."
I sighed, relaxing my arms and just lied on my back. I placed my hands over my chest, feeling the swell of my breast, "Hey Syd? My boobs aren't that flat, right?"
🌸
I went to the field, still in my uniform, the guys were already stretching to warm up beforehand. I didn't see Jungkook with them. I was a little relieved but I knew there's no way I could avoid him, not when he's the team captain who's in charge of my training. I quickly made my way to the locker room to change for practice but when I opened the door he was already there.
Jungkook didn't even look up as I shuffled inside, swiftly moving but very careful as if avoiding non existent booby traps across the floor. He still wasn't well enough to join us for practice so the coach told him to just watch in the mean time, monitor the players so he could see what the team lacks.
"You're still going to follow the routine I made." He started, standing up to leave so I could change comfortably, "Come out quickly when you're done."
I was still mad at him so I purposely took extra long while changing into my practice clothes. He was sitting by the bleachers outside the locker room, waiting for me. I only noticed now that he was dressed for practice with a white jacket on and white trainers then his signature black shorts over black leggings.
A group of girls were gathered a few rows behind him, quietly squealing and wishing they could talk to the rude jerk. I snorted a bit loudly at his ability to bewitch girls with his rudeness.
Jungkook looked at my direction and I instinctively straightened up. He stared at me blankly as he curved a finger to summon me. Not as obedient as other girls, I walked really slowly towards his direction, dragging my feet along as obviously as I could.
He watched me with an uninterested look and then said, "You shouldn't be showing this attitude to me right now. Remember that I still have a say whether you get to stay in this team or not."
"I thought the coach told you not to do anything but watch today." I said, ignoring him as I casually started my stretching routine, "So what are you doing right now?"
I looked up at him while he get his own stretching done. He rolled his head a few times over his shoulders and did ankle rotations, "You don't need to concern yourself with my decisions. I will do what I want to do. The only thing you should be concerned about is getting kicked out of the team."
"So far you're not doing great with that." Jungkook said as he looked down at me as if I was a worm caught in his shoe.
I stood up with my chin up, holding our eye contact, "Well, you're not doing great in telling the difference between a board and a girl's chest too."
Jungkook's gaze lowered down to my chest for a second, reminding him of what happened that day he got out of the hospital. He forced himself to look away before he cleared his throat with a cough, "New rule. You're not allowed to bring up anything not related to training."
"Fine. Whatever floats your boat, Captain." I replied wittingly while he had his back to me.
Jungkook lead the jog and I followed behind him within a safe distance. Not one of us spoke as we circled the track for the eighth time. He was staring ahead the whole time, breathing evenly while I was starting to lose breath, lagging behind him a bit.
He halted to a stop and I almost crash into him if I wasn't watching his back, "Rest for five minutes then we'll begin the drills ."
I nodded at him, already reaching for my water bottle and breathlessly drinking from it. He came back with two small towels, handing one to me and keeping the other one to himself.
"Dry yourself up. We will start with coils." Jungkook said, I was about to argue but he stopped me, "You need to know the basics before we could start with the proper training. The last time, you didn't even know the proper stance and you almost cracked my skull."
"I didn't! It was an acci-"Jungkook gave me a look and I closed my mouth, realizing that he was right.
He placed a glove on the ground, "Imagine that this is the batters box. Stand over here." Jungkook grabbed my wrist and placed me in position, "I will stand there and deliver an imaginary pitch while you stay here and work on your coils."
I nodded. He handed me a bat, carefully setting a distance from me. I hid a smile as he did that. Jungkook was already in his position when I lifted my head up. He waved his hand to get me to focus on the task.
"Ready?" Jungkook shouted, "Remember your posture. Eyes on the ball. Here comes the first pitch."
I gripped on the bat as I watched Jungkook did a windup. He looked so cool as he did it. He delivered the imaginary pitch. I shifted my weight and turned my shoulder and hips for the coil, freezing after I swung the bat.
"No." Jungkook shook his head and made his way back to me, "You roll your weight on the outside of your back foot and you turn your shoulders too much."
He went behind me again and guided me as I swing the bat, his chest touched my back while his face was right beside mine, "Do you get the feel of it now?"
"Yeah.." I mumbled. He then realized the close proximity we had and voluntarily backed away.
"Let's practice that until you get used to the feeling." He said as if nothing happened. Jungkook looked at me as take my stance, "Ready for the second pitch?"
🌸
When our practice was over, Jungkook told me to join the other guys for the cool down. I drank some water and went to jog along with the team.
"Hey." Hoseok smiled up at me while tying his shoelaces. "You're gonna jog with us?"
"Hey." I returned his smile and replied as we began to jog, "Yeah, I am. Jungkook told me to join you guys."
I didn't get to say hello to the other because we were a bit far from them. Although they did spot me and I waved back at them, especially at Taehyung who seemed like he wouldn't stop unless I notice him.
"So how's it going with your private lessons with the captain?" Hoseok chuckled at the word lessons.
"Well.. He's still traumatized about what I did the last time." I joked while keeping up with him.
"Can I ask you a personal question?"
All of a sudden the mood turned serious. I began to get nervous about his question, "Yeah, go ahead."
"When I first saw you, you looked very similar with someone I know. Well, I don't personally know him but he's the person I look up to ever since I started playing. He's one of the legends in the Baseball League. Sadly, he quit baseball when his wife died and said that he's doing it to look after her daughter." Hoseok explained with such enthusiasm and it made me anxious because I got a feeling that I know where he is going with this, "I know that this is a long shot but I'm just really curious.. So, are you, maybe, the daughter of David Yoo?"
I instantly halted. Hoseok looked back at me, "You alright?"
I looked into his eyes, thinking about my next move. I didn't want anyone to know but I don't think lying would do me good right now. Eventually, they'll find out about this and they'll ask me why I lied.
Hoseok approached me, "Vee?"
"Yes. I am the David Yoo's daughter." My confession made Hoseok stopped in his tracks, "Please don't tell anyone."
