19; pick me 🌸

"As long as I'm not with Namjoon or Jimin, rooming with anyone is fine." Yoongi said as soon as we gathered together in the living room to draw lots on who we will be rooming with.

"Hey! I know that we're not the silent sleepers but you didn't have to call us out like that." Namjoon shoved the whole cheese tart in his mouth to drown out his hurt feelings.

"It's okay. Yoongi hyung is just being a bitch." Jimin patted the older one's back while sending a look to the unfazed older boy. "You don't need him."

Apparently, we will all live together in one house for the whole week. There are four rooms with bathrooms in each, a living room, a dining room and a kitchen. It has been decided that the biggest room will be shared by three people. It would be bias to pick our roomies ourselves so everyone agreed to draw lots.

"Okay everyone get one." Hoseok said and one by one we dipped our hand into the bowl.

I got mine and when I opened it, a number was written on it. Jimin peeked at mine and instantly smiled, "Hey we're roomies!"

"You don't need to show us how happy you are about that." Jungkook stated bitchily as if he just woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

"Why is my happiness such a problem to you, Jungkook?" Jimin was offended by this and so he squared up to confront the older one, "You know what, I'm done trying to understand you. We've all had enough of your tantrums and absolutely don't deserve this amount of disrespect from you."

"Jimin, calm down." Jin put a hand on Jimin's shoulder, attempting to make him step down.

"No. I'm not going to calm down." Jimin said as he looked at Jungkook who just sat there, clenching his fists, "You've been so rude to Vee ever since we met her. You're supposed to be the leader. You're supposed to help her get used to the team. We're all trying to adjust here."

Jungkook met Jimin's eyes and then he stood up. "Are you done talking?"

Everyone was on edge, in case they jump on one another and start fighting but Jungkook just walked away, carrying his stuff with him. Jimin did the same, walking in the opposite direction and then after awhile, the rest began to retreat into their rooms as well, tired from the day. Taehyung and I are the only ones left in the living room.

I turned to him, "Why aren't you going into your room?"

"I'm waiting for Jungkook to cool his head. He's kinda scary when he's upset." He averted his attention from his phone to me,  "Have you seen his arms? I don't want to get punched. And you?"

"Same." I replied as I shrugged my shoulders. "Not that Jimin is scary. It's just awkward."

"Yeah." We sighed in chorus and then Jungkook walked out of nowhere.

Taehyung straightened up in his seat, his head following Jungkook as he walked past us and towards the door, "Where are you going?"

"I'm going for a run." He mumbled, not bothering to look at us.

"In this storm?!" Taehyung followed after him towards the door. "Have you lost your mind? What if something happens to you?"

"I don't care." Jungkook straight out walked out, unfazed by the rain.

🌸

I was in the room, lying down on my bed, doing my own thing on my phone. Lately, I've been watching so much Kardashian drama because it's so fun to watch them diss at each other. Soon, I was slowly getting bored and went to look for vines. I clicked on a vine thumbnail with Nicki Minaj on it. My earphones were plugged in my ears and I couldn't help but laugh when Nicki began to teach the viewers how to leave London and get on a plane to Prague. She twirled and comically flew even to outer space. Unknowingly, I cackled too loudly and made Jimin look over at me.

"Are you okay?" He asked half concerned, half amused.

"Y-Yeah. I'm totally fine." I replied, drying my tears from laughing so much.

"Do you think I was too harsh on Jungkook earlier?" Jimin said. "I'm kind of worried that he's not back yet. If anything bad happens to him.."

"Don't think like that. I'm sure he's okay." I tried to make him feel better but even I don't believe my own words.

"Yeah. You're right." He shrugged his shoulders and finally smiled as he sat up. We had our beds across each other when he asked me, "I'm hungry. I brought ramen with me. Wanna eat with me?"

"Yeah sure. I'm starved." I nodded and followed him outside to the kitchen where he insisted on making the noodles himself. We were the only ones out of their room, the others were probably napping or lying on their bed doing whatever, or running in the rain.

"I think I was a chef in my past life cause daaaamn, I look good in this apron." Jimin had a little apron tied to his waist like the ones you see in restaurants.

"Or a dishwasher.." I added and he squinted his eyes at me, "What? It's a possibility."

"Remember who's sharing his ramen with you." Jimin said as he turned back to the boiling pot. He turned the stove off and took the pot on the table.

"And you need me to help you with Sydney so share." I smiled at him and he gave me my utensils. "Eat now. Details later. Deal?"

"Deal." Jimin grinned and opened the lid.

"Wow." My mouth watered at the unbeatable smell of instant noodles, the spicy goodness that made your eyes water. The two of us were slurping on the noodles when a soaked Jungkook entered. Jimin and I stopped eating as when he noticed us.

My eyes took in his form and saw how his white shirt stuck closely to the skin his torso, defining his ripped muscles underneath. Abs. My mouth watered but the only thing that went out of my stupid mouth was,

"Want some noodles?" I said along with a sniff because of the spicy noodles.

"No thanks. I'm fine." Jungkook quickly refused and headed to his room.

I nudged Jimin's elbow as the wet mess was passing by us. Jimin finally got the idea and jumped on his feet, "Wait Jungkook."

Jungkook stopped after hearing Jimin. He turned to look at us blankly, "What?"

"About earlier.." Jimin couldn't seem to say it all in one go as he slowly inched his hand on the nape of his neck. "I just wanted to say I'm sorry."

"It's nothing. I forgot about it already." Jungkook looked down before slowly turning his back to us and returning to his shared room.

Later that night, I was told by Jimin that we are having a bon fire before we officially start the intense training the next day. It was also a tradition of the team as I heard later on. Jimin went ahead of me to the bon fire place to give me privacy to get a quick a shower in comfort. I did all my preparations before leaving the room. I have a lot to be honest. Girls are a handful when it comes to taking care of their appearance. Girls would take a minimum of one hour to do a natural looking makeup while guys would finish in ten minutes, looking equally good. Sucks being a girl as one person would say in a really intimidating way. Ugh, sometimes, I really wish I was born with a dick.

I put on a sweater over my shirt and black tights with my hair tied up in a ponytail because after all the rain this afternoon, the air became so chilly. I didn't want my hair to frizz later and look like a bird's nest because of the wind. I'm not exactly best friends with the cold. I would freeze up in the slightest drop of temperature, having a skin so pale and thin like a lizard.

Mark and I walked out of our rooms at the same time. Our eyes met and we stared at each other for who knows how long. His room was across mine, past the living room. I didn't notice that he wasn't dressed just for a bon fire until he closed the door and carried his bags behind him. He was dressed as if he was going to talk someone fully covered with his cap covering half of his face, only his lips and nose showed when he lowers down his head. He looked too good even for a stalker. He'd pass by and no one would be able to ignore him.

Mark didn't break eye contact with me as he walked towards me. I closed the door behind me and met him halfway. My feet stopped just three steps away from him and he sent me a small smile, "I'm afraid I need to leave again, Vee."

"You always do." I told him, trying to be cold as possible but something changed. I don't hate him that much anymore. "You always leave when things gets too hard for you."

"Maybe you're right.." He lowered his eyes down on the floor but brought them back up to my face. "But this time I'm not leaving because of that. I'm leaving because my company wants me to and I'm not leaving without a word this time around. I won't do that ever again. I won't hurt you again, Vee."

"Saying that won't change anything." I stubbornly replied. I can't help but act bitchy to him. He just messes my feelings so bad whenever I see him.

"It would because I promise that I will come back this time." Mark said with a soft smile and before he left, he stopped just beside me. He hesitated but kissed my cheek anyway and his fingers brushed lightly with mine, "My career is something I can't let go. I hope you understand that. I feel the same way about you and I know you think I'm being too selfish to want both you and my career but I'm willing to do anything to get you back. I'll call you when I have time.."

"Don't." I moved away from him, "I don't you to do anything. Just live your life the way you've been living it for the past few years. Don't make things even more complicated."

"God, you're stubborn." Mark let out a low chuckle when a man came in and called Mark, telling him they need to go if they want to make it in time for the event.

Mark nodded at him and the man took his bag, leaving us alone again. He glanced back at me, "Let me rephrase that, I'll call you even if I'm busy. I'll always make time for you. Whether I'm stuck in rehearsal or waiting in the dressing room before a concert, I'll have time for you."
