"This is where we're going." Barbie said, finally stopping infront of a restaurant. My eyes lit up as I recognised the place.
"Pappadeux!?."
"Yup!." She replied, popping the P. She stepped out of the car, and came around it, opening the door for me. A smile popped on my face as I came out and we both walked into the restaurant.
She walked over to the receptionist, me following behind.
"Hi, good evening." She smiled.
"Good evening. Montgomery?." The receptionist asked, equally giving a smile back.
"Yes. I have a reservation, table for two." She said as I smiled. And she claimed this wasn't a date.
"Yes, right this way." The receptionist guided us to the back of the restaurant. It was a secluded area, with a blue tarped background, making the environment warm.
I squinted my eyes as I looked back at her.
"You got yourself contact with one of my friends hmm?."
"Yup." She nodded. Walking to our table. I gasped and followed behind her.
"A waiter will be with you shortly." The receptionist said with another smile as she walked away.
"So, how was Tennessee?." I asked as she jumped.
"Huh?."
"How was Tennessee?." I asked with squinted eyes.
"Oh, it was fine. Sorry my head was somewhere else." My eyes stayed squinted as I wondered what she was thinking.
A tall dark skinned man approached us. He had two menus in his hand and a white cloth hanging over his other arm.
"Good evening. I'm James and I'll be your waiter this evening." He said flashing us a smile. I smiled back and Barbie nodded. He passed us each a menu.
"I'll have the Pardi Mardi Gras." Barbie said, turning to him and handing him the menu back with a smile on her face.
"And I'll have a Grilled half chicken. Tell the chef it's Gisselle." I smiled and gave him the menu too. He gave a little nod to us before walking away.
It didn't take long before he came back with our food. I guess the chef hurried, knowing it was me.
"So, what'd I miss?." Barbie asks all of a sudden. Since the waiter left with the menus she hadn't said anything to me.
"Um.. nothing much really. Just been hanging out with friends." I shrugged, taking a bite of my food. She nodded and took a bite from hers too.
"So, who's that guy. Uh... Shaw.. that's his name right?." Her face was like she was trying really hard to remember his name making me facepalm.
"It's Shawn." I chuckled.
"Oh yeahhh. So who is he?." She clasped her hands together and rested her chin on them. Looking me in the eye.
"I told you. My ex boyfriend." I shrugged and took another fork full of my food.
"I want details. Why'd y'all break up, when, how, and why, was he at your house. Shirtless... blackthong." She said stretching the second why like as if it had vowels and wiggling her eyebrows. I rolled my eyes playfully and began talking.
"Well... I broke up with him cause I just stopped feeling him. It happened that day I went to see him McDonald's. We just decided to stay friends." I shrugged.
"Friends that fuck?." She asked with a laugh as she took another spoon of her food.
"Shut up!." I laughed too.
"But, lemme ask though, why'd you stop feeling him?." My food hung in my throat. How was i going to tell her i stopped feeling him because of her.
"Uhm.... someone else caught my eye." I shrugged.
"Who?."
"Someone."
"Boy or girl." She laughed.
"Girl."
"Ooh. White or bl-"
"Shut it!." I laughed as she bursted out laughing too.
"Ever been in a relationship with a girl though?." She asked, taking another spoon of her food. Just a few more and her plate would be empty.
"Nah. But I want it." She smiled.
"Maybe it'll happen soon. Does this girl you're into know?."
"Uhhhhhhhh... no, I don't think so." Her eyebrows formed a confused knot as she blinked it away, ignoring the question that she obviously wanted to ask.
"Oh well, if it does work out between y'all and she's nice, you're going to love your love life." She laughed. "A relationship with a girl is literally the best. Everything you could want." She shrugged with a small nod.
"Nice. You're single right?." I unknowingly asked.
"Hmm.. not really. There's this girl that lives next door to me. We fuck, I'm pretty sure she loves me." She smiled. My face dimed a bit but got brighter.
"Oh wow." She rolled her eyes.
"Ofcourse I'm single. Who would love this crazy?." She jokingly asked with a chuckle.
"Hmm, believe me, alot of people." I chuckled. I would. "But um, how was your last relationship?."
"Hmm?."
"How was your last relationship?."

My eyes widened at her question. I didn't know what to say. As much as I've had sexual flings with different people.. I've never had an actual relationship.
"Um.... I've never had a relationship." I shrugged, chewing on the inside of my cheek. Beyoncé raised her brows with wide eyes.
"Ever?." She asked as I nodded. "Woah, why?. What!?." She asked as I rolled my eyes.
"Now, it's your turn to shut it." I sighed. "I've just never had an actual relationship."
"Why-"
"I DON'T KNOW." I said through gritted teeth.
"Okay okay.." She replied throwing her hands in the air and eating her food in awkward silence. The face she held made me burst out laughing.
"Shit, I think its finna rain." I said, looking out the window. Two tiny drops of rain had fallen already, racing down the window.
"What!?. Oh shit."
"What?." I questioned.
"The road to my house is weird as fuck when it rains." My face scrunched up as I looked at her questioningly. "Don't ask."
"Ooohkay. I guess we better leave then. James!." I yelled. The waiter came over to us with a smile.
"The bill, please." I smiled. He handed me the bill and i paid with my credit card. He took our plates as i helped her out her seat and we made our way to the door.
"Oh!." I said running back. I walked up to the waiter and gave 200 dollars. "Thank you." I smiled and walked back to Beyoncé again. "He put the whole thing together for me." I smiled, referring to the special table we sat at and the whole date theme. She held a hand on her chest in awe.
The minute we walked out the door, the began to pour. We held our hands on our heads as we ran to her car.
"Oh shit." She said throwing my head back on the car seat. I did same and sighed as we sat back in silence.
"Should we head to my place?." I asked. She nodded as I started the ignition and began driving to my house.

We got to her house in a few minutes longer than it would've taken to reach mine, but the road was better. There was a whole story behind why I didn't go home or leave my house whenever it rained at night. A story I buried deep.
"Come in." She said, walking into her house and flicking the lights on. The minute the room lit up, I was amazed. Her house was not what I was expecting, it was wayy better. But overly pink. Either way, it was cute.
She left me to sit down in the living room and went into the kitchen, coming back with a a bottle of wine and two glasses. I'd taken off my shoes and earrings and pulled my hair into a bun.
"Wine?." She asked with a raised eyebrow, already pouring the wine into the two glasses.
"Sure." I took a glass from her and took a sip of the wine it tasted fresh. Soon, the lights went out.
"Wow!. Just wow!." She clapped. "Calandra who hurt you!?." She asked looking up. I facepalmed looking at her like the wine went up her nose.
"You crazy." I laughed.
"You'll get used to it." She chuckled. I wondered how we get along so well even though we've not even known each other a long time. She's just such a great person to be around, annoying here and there but she's cute, especially when she tries to hide it. But in most cases, it's hot..
"So what do you wanna do now?."
"You." Her eyes widened.
"Uhm.."
