"You both are coming to this," Nancy told, handing both teenagers a flyer which Blake immediately crumpled up and threw away as she passed a trashcan.
"Come and get sheet-faced," Jonathan read out loud and his best friend grunted at his words.
Blake rolled her eyes, saying, "I am not going to that shit. I have better things to do with my time."
"I can't let you guys sit all alone on Halloween."
"Why? It's what we want. Plus, we are taking the boys out Trick-or-treating," Blake said looking at Jonathan who nodded at her words.
Turning away, she blocked out the rest of the conversation and took off Jonathan's jacket which he did in fact bring for her this morning, tying it around her waist.
She was knocked out of her thoughts of planning to ditch the boys around nine o'clock to get back to El when Steve came up behind Nancy and kissed her deeply. Blake's heart tightened, but she shook it off as she walked away with Jonathan.
"If you want to, you can go to the party. It's not like we get invited to many," She joked, bumping him with her hip which reached his thigh. Jonathan smiled, saying, "And leave my favorite girl behind on her favorite day of the year?"
Blake rolled her eyes, "Yeah, okay Johnny, I'm your favorite girl. I'll keep that in mind next time you look at Nancy."
Jonathan only kicked the back her shin, making her curse at him before mumbling incoherently about how he needs to learn how to take a joke.
"And I won't technically be alone if you think about it. I got the boys and my chief of police father," Blake countered, not mentioning the girl who at the moment was channel surfing on the couch.
The pair made their way to Blake's locker where she opened it as the boy leaned on the one next to it, speaking, "Well you could always come back to mine after? Have a horror movie might and gourd ourselves with all your KitKats."
Blake laughed putting her History book away, expertly lying as she said, "As much fun as gaining five pounds in chocolate sounds, I have to go home after. Something about not spending as much time with me anymore?"
"Well another night?" She nodded as he continued, "I'll see you later then. I have to get something from my car."
He smiled, unwrapping the jacket from her waist and walking off. Blake exchanged everything, grabbing her Pre-Calc book and slamming her locker shut. She turned only to be met with a hard chest due to her five foot one stature.
"Shit, what the hell dude?" She grumbled taking a step back to be met with the new boy she already disliked from hearing about him all day.
"I'm Billy Hargrove. What's your name, princess," He introduced sickening sweet with the pet name making Blake angry.
"None of your concern, Princess," She retorted, side stepping him and beginning to walk to her next class.
"Oh, come on. Don't be that way, Sweetheart." Billy grabbed her wrist, Blake stopping in her tracks and turning to him with a glare that sent a shrill of fear down his spine, "You have .5 seconds to get your damn hands off me before I punch you so hard you'll be knocked out until next week."
Her voice was so full of venom and anger Billy wanted to leave immediately, but he stuck his ground, taking his hand away from her and covering up his fear with a smirk which Blake wanted to smack right off.
"Hard to get huh? I like a good challenge."
Blake was about to fulfill her previous promise when an arm wrapped itself around her waist, pulling her back into a chest. Steve looked between the two and said, "Do we have a problem here?"
Billy rose an eyebrow looking at the pair saying, "Oh no problem. Just wanted to get to know princess is all."
He winked looking down at the livid girl and walked away as she let out a loud growl.
"What the hell was that all about?" She spit turning towards Steve who was slightly scared of her but didn't let it show. Steve sighed,
"He's just an asshole who thinks he can get whatever he wants."
She scoffed at his words as he continued, "I'd say let me know if he does it again but you can probably kick his ass better than I can."
"That you are right about, Harrington," She mockingly saluted with two fingers before spinning on the balls of her feet as the bell rang, letting Steve watch her walk away to her next class.

Blake had just made it to the comfort of her car when a static noise erupted from the back of her car. She repeatedly cursed, fishing through the mess the boys had left from the previous night.
"Blake, Do you copy? Over."
Grabbing it, she brought it to her mouth, "Yes, Dustin?"
"Say over when you-" She cut him off annoyed, "Over."
"I think I know who Mad Max is. Come meet us at the arcade. Over and out."
He hung up before she could answer. She sighed, putting in a mix tape Jonathan had made for her before driving out of the parking lot with the windows down.
She let the wind tangle in her hair as she sung along perfectly to Fleetwood Mac's Dreams, as it was on her favorite songs. It was a fairly short ride due to her fast driving- something she only did when she was alone.
"Find anything yet?" Blake questioned as she came up behind the boys.
"Jack shit," Lucas said looking though his binoculars and Blake wrinkled her nose seeing them, wondering why he needed them when they weren't that far away.
Dustin looked at his watching sighing when he saw the time, "Damn it, my mom's going to murder me."
"So go home, Blake and I will radio if she comes," Lucas volunteered them both, the girl groaning in return just wanting to go home after her day at school. The curly haired boy scoffed, "Nice try. You just want me out of here so you can make your move."
"Yeah right, like you're a threat."
"She will not be able to resist these pearls," Dustin boasted, purring like a cat as Blake made a face hearing it. The girl snorted,
"I'm sure that's how you get the ladies Dustin. Sounding like Chewbacca is a real turn on."
The boy turned bright red and Blake smirked in victory before Lucas slapped Dustin's arm, saying, "Guys, Ten o'clock."
Blake's gaze went over to where Lucas was looking and almost growled at the sight of the familiar blue car. The same red-headed girl from before slammed the door as she stepped out, flipping off the driver as he sped away.
"I like this girl already."

El and the older girl were sitting lazily on the couch next to each other, both doing separate things. Eleven was watching television and Blake was nose deep in a book which she was almost done with despite only starting that day.
Hopper knocked on the wooden door and Blake looked up slightly from her book, silently pleading for the girl to unlock it. El playfully rolled her eyes, giggling and unlocked it from her spot as Blake went back to where she left off.
"Girls, what did we talk about?" Hopper questioned seeing the half eaten waffles on the table that they had left out.
"No signal, you're late," Eleven simply replied standing up and going to Blake, tugging on her hand.
"Sorry, I'll signal next time," He said sitting down and rolling up his sleeve three quarters of the way.
The younger girl was still tugging on Blake's hand, stomping her foot down when she continued not to budge. Blake reluctantly bookmarked her novel and let the telekinetic girl drag her to the dinner table.
"What did we talk about? Dinner before dessert, always. It's the rules, yeah?" Hopper scolded. Blake huffed, wiping her mouth after taking a bite, saying, "Come on, Dad. We were starving. I almost had to go out and hunt a squirrel or something."
Eleven giggled looking at the older girl as Hopper rolled his eyes, "That's a huge exaggeration and you know it, Kid."
They all laughed beginning to all eat again, El grasping Blake's hand under the table like normal.
