Chapter One ♚ Weird

AN: Blake's outfit for school is up top.

"I hate this overpriced bullshit! Son of a bitch!" Dustin yelled, banging his fists on the Dragons Lair game in front of him. Lucas smugly made a comment about how Princess Daphne was still all "his" causing his friends to groan in annoyance.

Dustin sighed, "At least I'm still first on Dig Dug."

"Are you sure about that?" A voice from the side questioned the boys.

They all looked up from the video game screen to see the unwanted worker, Keith, who was munching on a bag of cheese puffs. Worriedly, they ran to the Dig Dug machine cursing when they saw the top score and name that now replaced the Henderson boy's.

"Who's Mad Max?" Dustin questioned. Keith simply shrugged his shoulders, continuing to eat the processed cheese snack, saying, "Better than you."

Dustin sarcastically flipped him off, saying, "Spill it, Keith."

"You want information? I need something in return," He countered eyeing the Wheeler boy. All eyes turned to Mike, who shockingly said, "No! No way, you are not getting a date with her!"

"Oh, come on-" The raven haired boy cut them off exclaiming, "-I'm not prostituting, Blake!"

"What the hell did I miss? I'm being prostituted?" The said girl asked, wiping her still semi-wet hands on her jeans as she came back from the bathroom. Blake crossed her arms across her chest, now looking at the arcade worker, who was smirking at her, in disgust.

"You are not being prostituted," Mike told as the others began arguing back and forth like small children. Blake rolled her eyes, seemingly becoming annoyed by the conversation before she realized Will was no longer with them.

She looked around, seeing him outside and walked through the door to see Will looking up at the clear night sky. Hearing footsteps behind her, she turned around meeting Mike's brown eyes before going back to the glazed over boy while saying, "Hey, Will. Are you okay?"

At her words, Will knocked out of his trance looking at them before glancing around at his surroundings saying, "Yeah, I just needed some air."

Will smiled falsely at the pair, something Blake immediately noted as he walked past her. Mike looked over to the girl who just shook her head telling him not to say anything about the experience.

"Blake, do you think I'm weird?" Will questioned the girl he thought of as an older sister after they dropped Dustin off at his house. Blake rose a brow, quickly looking at his face before turning back to the dark road, "Why would you ask that?"

She was met with silence making her curse angrily to herself as her knuckles on the steering wheel turned white. She sighed, "Will, are people saying things again?"

"Just a few kids-"

"- I swear to God-" She started darkly before being cut off by the boy, "Blake, please? Please don't say anything."

Blake let out a breath, relaxing her hands for Will and said, "To answer your question... everyone is weird in their own way."

"You're not weird," Will retaliated shifting his weight so he was facing her.

"That's not true one bit," She laughed, "I can do some weird things."

"Really? Like what?" He questioned as Blake pulled up to his house. She parked the car before turning to him, "Well, between you and me? I can do this creepy thing with my eye. I'll only show you if you promise not to tell a living soul."

Will nodded excitedly and she chuckled before turning one of her green eyes to the side as one remained on him. The boy gasped, laughing as her eye returned to normal where one side of her lips turned upwards.

"Alright well you better get inside before your Mom sends out a search party."

Will said goodbye, quickly hugging the girl from across the center console before running inside his house where he greeted Joyce.

"That poor boy," Blake whispered to herself as she turned the car around and drove down the long road.

After triple checking she was not being followed, she pulled off the secluded dirt road and got out at her usual spot. She expertly jumped over all the wires and twisted around the traps, yawning as she unlocked the door with her key.

She walked into the dimly lighted house and over to her room where she met a curly-haired preteen. She grinned and said, "Hey Ellie."

The said girl smiled brightly, snuggling into Blake's side as she sat next to her on the blanket covered mattress.

Eleven was really one of the only people who Blake would let see her soft side. They both saw each others emotions at their best, but also their worst and wouldn't judge if one of them had a bad day.

"How is he?" El turned her head that was on Blake's chest after a few minutes of watching the television.

"He misses you. They all do," Blake answered best to her abilities. The younger girl nodded and turned back to the program as Blake simply pulled her closer, wrapping her in her embrace.

The next morning Blake pulled into the slot next to a burnt red car, parking and resting her head on her hands that were still placed on the wheel.

Only did she come back to life when there was rapid knocking on her window to which she groaned at loudly. Grabbing her bag from the passenger seat, Blake stepped out of her car with a deadly glare looking at the couple who took a step back from her.

"Harrington, how many times do I have to freakin' tell you to stop doing that?"

"About as many times I've done it," He laughed as the brunette narrowed her eyes at him with a scowl, "You can't be mad at me, I brought you something. A thank you for helping me study for my English exam."

Blake's senses immediately heightened, her eyes wild as she took the to-go cup of coffee from his hands taking a large gulp, "All is forgiven."

Nancy shook her head in disbelief and Steve chuckled as a faint music could be heard in the distance, "How many cups is that this morning?"

"That's for me to know and for you to dot, dot, dot," Blake motioned with her fingers, Steve now laughing harder as he said, "You're addicted!"

"Oh, but Harrington, there are much worse things to be addicted to," She countered as a loud roar erupted from the side of the parking lot.

The blue car parked directly across from the trio and a red-headed girl with a skateboard ran out as a boy with a mullet stepped out proudly, instantly making Blake annoyed.

Blake rose a brow, looking over at Steve with a smirk, "Looks like you've got some hair competition now, Harrington."
