It was noon before they got up for the day , Ashlynn made Rafael brunch before he left for Court but not before Carisi came to stay with her for a couple of hours

While he was there they paid cards watched a few tv shows and ordered in since it was now 7 and both were hunger , Rafael had texted saying that he would be late the case was running behind .

The screen at the door lights up showing a kid holding a bag.
" Sonny I think dinner is here " Ashlynn hollers since He was in the bathroom he had just walked into it . 
" Don't you open that door " he hollers through the door .

Ashlynn rolls her eyes but goes to the door hits the intercom button
" Give me a second I need to grab my money " Ashlynn tells the kid
"Okay Ma'am " he said

Sonny came to the door he opens it while Ashlynn is standing there with the cash to pay
"Here you go thanks for bringing it " Ashlynn tells the kid as they exchange money for food
" Thanks " he said as he turns to leave .

Sonny shuts the door locking it again .

"Let's eat " Ashlynn says with a laugh .

Dividing out the Chinese food between the two of them there was plenty to eat .
Both sat at the bar in the kitchen to eat .

"So what did you do at the Law office you worked at" Sonny asked Ashlynn
" I was a Legal Assistant, I actually took the Bar Exam passed it I can practice law in New York and New Jersey  I majored in Criminal Law and Minored in Corporate Law ,but really want to pursue my dream of being a Photographer not in the media sense more of Families, Wildlife , Nature I have a small portfolio of pictures I have done " Ashlynn tells him
" Show me " he asked
" All right hold on I'll get them " Ashlynn says sliding off the stool and heads to the bedroom to grab the box that held them .

Coming back in she puts the box on the table so she can pull them out .
Laying some of them on the table then pulling the portfolio out .

" God theses are so beautiful you have a talent " Sonny says looking at the ones on the table .

" Thank you " Ashlynn says

The apartment door opens , Sunny pulls Ashlynn behind him hand on his gun
Both breath a sigh of relief when they see it's Rafael

" God you scared the hell out of me " Ashlynn says stepping out from behind Sonny then walking to Rafael she pulls him in for a hug .

Rafael returns Ashlynn's hug kissing her forehead.

" Sorry Ash I didn't mean too , Whats that all on the table " He asked
" Her portfolio of pictures she has done " Sonny said motioning for him to come look .

Rafael went over and looked at the photos they were just beautiful
" I can see that you have an amazing talent " He tells her
" Thank you "
" So what did you two have for dinner " He asked looking over at the bar In the kitchen
"Chinese there is plenty left over have some " Ashlynn tells him.
"I will when I come back I need to go home to grab a suite for tomorrow, Sonny can you stay longer or Do you want to come to my place while I get my things" He asked .

" If you want me to come I will since I haven't been out of the apartment since this morning "
" Okay well let's get going so we can get back Thank you for staying with her today " Rafael says
"It was my pleasure I will warn you she's dangerous at Poker " Sonny says with a grin
" Ha we will have to play again " Ashlynn says laughing .

They all went down and out to the sidewalk As they approached Rafaels car they all heard a beep then a loud bang and Blast that knocked them off their feet
Rafael Pushed Ashlynn away from the blast trying to keep her safe .
Ashlynn tried to catch herself but couldn't she felt her head hit the sidewalk then it went dark .

Coming to Ashlynn's head felt like someone had stomped on it there was a constant thumping noise in her head opening her eyes she could see someone standing over her but couldn't make what they were saying she could see the orange glow coming from a few feet away
Turing her head she sees Rafael on the ground beside her  and Sonny is staggering around with a phone to his ear

Closing her eyes hoping it was just a dream she waited a minute or two before she opens them again this time she saw the red and blue lights flashing it was making her dizzy closing her eyes again succumbing to the darkness again .

Waking up again her head didn't hurt as bad but she still felt like she was in a fog .
She knew she was in the hospital because of the smell .
Looking around the room she sees a jacket , cup , a phone along with a IV pole and heart monitor.

Reaching up to touch her head it was tender along the backside.

As she was checking herself out for any more injuries the door opens

They speak but she can only hear muffled sound

" I can't hear you " she says

Her Father holds up one finger then leaves the room coming back with a Nurse and Doctor

The Doctor was speaking but Ashlynn couldn't hear him
" I can't hear you " she says again

The Doctor grabs a note pad

You have a concussion it's effected your hearing it will come back in a few days to a month depending on how fast the swelling goes down and you had some shrapnel in your back that we had to remove

" Okay How is Rafael and Sonny please tell me they are okay " Ashlynn said to them

Elliot grabbed the paper

They are recovering from the blast as well , Rafael was injured with some shrapnel In his shoulder, Sonny had some in his leg , Like The Doc said you had some in your Back it took them five hours to get all of it out,Both Sonny and Rafael have been released but you have to stay a few days longer

" Wow Can I see them " Ashlynn asked

In a few they both went down to get coffee I will text them I know they both want to see you

" Okay "

Do you remember any thing about the blast

" No I don't I remember walking by a grey car that was parked next to the sign that says Street Sweeping every Thursday between 2-6 am no parking " she tells him

Elliot nods then begins to write again

We think it was your rapist that did the bomb he called your phone after the blast yelling at you for being with Rafael the bomb was to take him out of the picture which now he has made a grave mistake trying to take out a ADA it's now a Federal Offense but Olivia and the Crew still have control of the case after much arguments .... I think you and Rafael need to go into witnesses protection until the asshole is caught

" No I'm not running from him or anyone Never Have Never Will " Ashlynn says as the door opens

Her eyes land on Rafael who is wearing a Dark Grey T-shirt, Jeans along with tennis shoes he had a bandaid on his cheek. Sonny walked in behind Rafael he was dressed in jeans and T-shirt too he had a bandage on his forehead

She could tell that Elliot was talking to them then he handed the paper to Rafael

Rafael took the paper but then put it down he continues towards the bed sits down takes Ashlynn's hand then leans down kisses her lips gently but Ashlynn didnt want gentle right then so she nipped his lip he opens his mouth she slides her tongue in to explore his mouth she didn't care if she had morning breath or not .

Pulling back Rafael would have let the kiss go on but there was an audience.

Taking the paper back into his hand along with the pen

I'm happy you are awake now , How do you feel

" Sore in my back like I have lifted weights wrong " Ashlynn tells him

Well you do now have a nine inch scar down your back from the shrapnel along with the fact you have been out for a while

"Wow I could tell it was a big bandage but damn "

She saw Rafael chuckle

A nurse came in she spoke to the Doctor who was still in the room
Ashlynn raised her eyebrow in questioning way

Don't worry The FBI wants to talk to you about the bombing

" Will you three stay "

Yes we will

" okay then let's get this over with my head is hurting and I am hungry too "

For thirty minutes Ashlynn answered the questions the FBI Agents asked even if they were being slightly rude

Finally She had enough

" I'm Done you two can go if you have any more questions send them to my legal counsel for me to review and if I want to answer I will  " Ashlynn

Both Agents began to speak with out writing down the questions but by the body language of Rafael then Elliot she could tell they were telling them to leave in a not so nice way .

The Agents left the room along with Sonny who wrote down on the paper
I'm going to escort these two jerks out and be back I'll grab you some chocolate if you want just give me the thumbs up

Ashlynn gave him the thumbs up and grin he returned it and then left .

Ashlynn spent two more days in the hospital she had regained half her hearing so communicating was so much easier
Before they left the hospital they had to do a statement to the public about the bombing , Olivia brought her a swing A line Dress pair of heels , she also grabbed her bralette that would be soft on her back but still give her boobs support.

After getting a shower and getting dressed , Rollins helped with drying her hair since holding her arms up to blow dry was killing her back
Once presentable they met everyone in the waiting room then headed down

" Now as you all know five days ago ADA Rafael Barba, Detective Sonny Carsis and Ashlynn were walking down the street when a bomb exploded in a car , We are asking for any information that the public may have seen or heard before and after the incident, There is a Suspect that we do need the Public help in identifying, As you seen on your screen This Gentleman is wanted for questioning in the Rape and Abduction of Ashlynn along with the Bombing that injured all three " Olivia spoke to the reporters.

The whole time Olivia spoke Rafael held on to Ashlynn's hand he could feel she was nervous slightly scared but had a brave face firmly in place .
When he let go of her hand he gave her a smile then nodded at Elliot who took her other hand .

" This is directed to the Person who attacked Ashlynn and tried to kill a New York City Detective a ADA and Ashlynn" Rafael stares directly into the camera
"We will find you And Bring you to Justice  I can guarantee it You will pay for all that you have done "

Ashlynn steps forward placed her hand on Rafaels shoulder she can feel the anger rolling off him in waves all she wanted to do is calm him down .

Rafael felt a hand on his shoulder he turns his head to see Ashlynn she had an afraid look on her face so he turns to her pulling her to him hugging her in front of everyone he didn't care she needed to be held so he held her .
