Thy Metamorphosis, My Decomposition

I started off as a dainty seed.
Clouds watered me.
I then stem out,
My petals slowly sprout.

I bathed in sunlight
As I slowly bewitch insects over time.
Caterpillars were allured to my exquisite leaves,
Someone like me the most ravishing, they believe.

Their actions departing me with grief.
They metamorphose whereas I gradually become deceased,
Whilst my petals gazed at the wings of the beast.
