WHEN ELIJAH AND Klaus found them, Colby was grateful to be free from the shackles. Rubbing her wrists, Colby turned her attention to Sophie, who was explaining what happened to the brothers.
"Agnes stuck me with a needle. Cursed objects were created a long time ago. We use them so we don't get busted by Marcel for doing magic. The one she used is called the Needle of Sorrows. It was cursed in 1860 when–" Klaus cut her off, leaning against the wall off the mausoleum.
"Jump ahead a few decades and tell us what it does, love?" Klaus demanded, and Sophie frowned, shifting uncomfortably.
"It has only one purpose: to kill a child in utero by raising her blood temperature." Klaus, Elijah and Colby all shared looks of shock and anger.
"It's for a miscarriage." Elijah said, voicing everyone's thoughts. Sophie nodded. "How much time do we have to fix this?" Sophie's face looked grim as she spoke.
"It will do what it's meant to by tonight's high tide. And believe me, it will work. I saw her use a similar object on a kid who went mad and killed a bunch of priests." Colby's mind flashed back to Sean, Camille's brother, who met his own terrible fate.
"I'd like to have a chat with this Agnes. Where can I find her?" Klaus asked, glaring at Sophie.
"You won't! There are a thousand places she could hole up to wait it out." Sophie exclaimed. Elijah narrowed his eyes dangerously at the witch.
"That's precisely why we need to unlink you from Hayley. No more danger toward her or the child." Elijah explained firmly. Sophie shook her head in confusion, almost offended.
"No, what? If I am not linked to Hayley, I lose my leverage on you. We had a deal!" Sophie shouted angrily. Elijah stepped towards her menacingly.
"We are not on the same side, Sophie Deveraux. Our deal no longer stands!" Elijah said angrily. Sophie stood there in anger, and Colby took the moment to step forward.
"Did you know?" Colby asked quietly, and Sophie's face turned to one of confusion.
"Did I know what?" The witch asked, and Colby frowned, her heart dropping.
"Did you know about Sabine's vision?" Colby asked. Klaus and Elijah shared a confused look as Sophie sighed.
"Sabine tried to tell me, but I wouldn't listen, not after the fiasco with the vision about the baby." Sophie looked at Colby, almost pleading. "If I had known what Agnes was going to try to do, Colby, I swear I would have done something. I would have tried to protect you, you have to believe me." Colby nodded in understanding as Elijah picked up the blade from the ground, noticing the drop of blood on the end before turning to Colby.
"What else happened here?" Elijah asked carefully. Colby had momentarily forgotten about the cut on her neck. It had stopped bleeding, but the drying blood was still visible.
"Agnes tried to kill me." Colby said simply, and Sophie laughed humorlessly, gesturing to several shattered bottles on the ground.
"Yeah, but Colby threw her across the room before she could." Sophie said in awe. Colby immediately shot the confused siblings a look to say 'we'll talk later'.
"She said Sabine had a vision about me. She said I was dangerous. But I have no idea what the hell that means." Colby explained, rubbing at the dried blood on her neck. Sophie looked almost guilty for not knowing, and Klaus and Elijah looked concerned.
"It doesn't matter now, anyways. We need to help Hayley."

Elijah took Colby back to her Jeep, upon her request. She sat in the drivers seat, fingers gripping the steering wheel hard enough that her knuckles turning white. Tears burned her eyes as she leaned her head back against the headrest. She had almost died.
Tears fell from her eyes as she sobbed, hands slipping from the steering wheel to cover her face. Colby's heart pounded in her chest as the sobs wracked through her. Colby didn't know how long she sat in her Jeep, lamenting about her near-death experience, but it was becoming dark by the time she got herself together enough to join the others.

When Colby got back to the mansion, Elijah was holding Hayley in the pool as she screamed in pain. Sophie froze, looking to the sky.
"I just felt it lift." She said, referring to the link. As Elijah left the pool, Sophie begged him not to let Klaus kill Agnes. Elijah pulled out his phone from his discarded jacket, dialing a number.
"It's me, where are you?" He paused, listening to who Colby could only assume was Klaus. "Don't hurt her. I'll be there shortly." Elijah hung up swiftly, turning to face Sophie. "I'll make you one last promise. I won't let my brother kill Agnes." Colby quickly grabbed onto Elijah's arm as he passed her, moving into the house. He calmly turned to face her, waiting for her to say something.
"I need to go with you to see Agnes, Elijah. And before you say anything, I do have my reasons. I need to know what Sabine saw. If I ask Sabine, she will never tell me. Elijah, please." Colby pleaded, but it was clear that it was just a formality, and she'd be going either way. Elijah was silent for a moment, before nodding.
"Wait here, I need dry clothes." He said simply before quickly climbing the stairs. Colby nodded to no one as Elijah left, but Rebekah quickly replaced him, stopping in front of her.
"You've made quite the impact on my brothers, Colby." Rebekah said with a soft smile. Colby laughed softly, shaking her head.
"I don't think so." She said, before pushing some hair out of her face.
"Well, you've certainly made an impact on me. I'll remember you, love." Rebekah said with a sad smile, tucking some of Colby's hair behind her ear. Colby frowned, looking up at Rebekah.
"Why does this sound like a goodbye?" Colby asked, her heart clenching in her chest. Rebekah gave a teary-eyed smile.
"Because it is. Take care of them, okay? I promise, Colby, I will never forget you." Rebekah promised with a slight nod. Colby sniffled lightly, not wanting to cry again.
"But, why?" She asked, and she sounded so sad, that Rebekah immediately pulled her into a tight hug.
"I only came back for Elijah. Now that he is safe, I have no reason to stay." Rebekah explained, but the words didn't sound right coming out of her mouth, like it wasn't a good enough excuse to leave. Colby nodded in understanding, wrapping her arms around Rebekah. After a minute, the two pulled away, and Rebekah lightly pressed a kiss to the top of Colby's head.
"Goodbye, Colby Scott."

"Are you ready?" Elijah asked, descending down the stairs, gaze set on Colby.
"As I'll ever be." Colby said honestly, as Elijah grabbed her hand. In a flash, she was in the church, looking at Klaus with Agnes in a chokehold.
"Don't. Touch. My. Family." He growled out, jerking Agnes back roughly.
"Leave her." Elijah said, making Klaus pull Agnes into a headlock as Elijah and Colby walk down the aisle. "I gave my word." Elijah said again, and Father Kieran stood up to greet Elijah, glancing at Colby.
"You tend to give your word at the most inopportune times, brother. We've been doing things your way all day. Come on! Just one little snap and it's 'Toodle-loo, Agnes.' She deserves it!" Klaus tried, grinning wolfishly at his older brother.
"Niklaus, don't make another move. You have asked for my forgiveness. I will grant you that forgiveness, but do not make me break my word." Elijah said calmly. Klaus glared at his brother as he considers his request. After a moment, he lets Agnes go.
"My noble brother, how was that for personal growth? Still, it is just like you to spoil all of my fun." Klaus said, shooting a flare at Agnes.
"Oh, not exactly. But first, Colby has something she would like to ask you." Elijah stepped aside as Colby walked up, stopping in front of Agnes.
"What was Sabine's vision?" She asked, and Agnes' gaze refused to meet her eyes. The witch was silent, staring back at Colby.
"Agnes." Elijah said, glaring at her. Agnes sighed, her face almost grim.
"The other banshees will come, Colby. They will come and you will lose all sense of who you are, just as your mother did." Agnes' eyes moved to meet Colby's. "You will become the monster your mother so feared you may be." Colby's eyes widened as she stepped back, and Agnes looked towards Klaus. "This girl will be the death of you." Elijah snarled as Klaus put an arm around Colby's shoulders, pulling her back. Elijah ripped out the heart of one of the officers that occupied the church, before doing the same to the other. Holding the hearts in each hand, he threw them to the ground. Pulling a handkerchief from his pocket, Elijah wiped his hands clean.
"I promised Sophie that no harm would come to you by my brothers hand. I never said anything about me." Elijah's eyes darkened as he snapped Agnes' neck. Colby winced, the feeling of a scream building up in her throat. She forced it back, refusing to let out a scream for Agnes, who had tried to kill her only a few hours earlier. Elijah looked at Agnes' body for a moment.
"No one hurts my family and lives." Elijah said darkly, making Klaus smile with pride.
"Come. Let's go home, Colby." As Elijah held his hand out, Colby didn't hesitate to take it. But Klaus looked worried as he followed the two out of the church. He couldn't shake Agnes' words from his mind, couldn't help but think of the grim warning she gave him about the girl who had worked her way into their family.
