CAMILLE ENDED UP picking the dress out for Colby, much to her dismay. It wasn't that she didn't trust Camille to know what would look good on her, she just didn't like dresses. Or even parties, for that matter. The dress Camille had picked out was a nice beige color, with a flush of soft pink. It was flowy and comfortable, with white lace designs all over the dress. It ended just above her knees, and the neckline was a bit lower than she would have preferred. The long sleeves of the dress were a mesh-looking material, the lace designs the only part of her arms that weren't see-through. Colby easily slipped on a pair of soft pink heels that matched the flush of the dress.
As Colby looked at herself in the mirror, she had to admit that she did look good. Camille had lightly curled her hair, making it fall nicely over her shoulders. She was wearing more makeup than she usually did, but it was still soft looking.
"Cami! You almost done?" Colby yelled from her room, turning towards her door. Camille came walking in, looking stunning. She had a pair of white angel wings on her back, wearing a vintage white beaded dress with her hair done up elegantly. "Cami, you look amazing." Colby breathed, taking in the older woman's appearance. Camille smiled, winking at Colby.
"You don't look too bad yourself." Colby threw her head back, laughing loudly.
"Alright, Cami. Let's go."

Walking across the street to the Abattoir, Camille and Colby walked in together, arm-in-arm. Rebekah quickly spotted them and crossed the courtyard to greet the pair.
"Well don't the both of you look precious. Looking rather bold in that dress, Colby." Rebekah complimented, eyeing the dress that Colby was wearing. Colby snorted, looking down at the dress, anxiously smoothing it out.
"Cami picked it out. I would never have worn it otherwise." The three girls laughed before Camille made eye contact with Klaus as he walked over, nodding at him.
"Is he the infamous on-again/off-again?" Camille asked Rebekah. Colby suppressed a laugh as Klaus reached them.
"He's the brother, actually, and my sister is right. You do look stunning." Klaus complimented Camille, sounding sincere. Camille smiled, practically glowing.
"You clean up pretty well yourself." Camille shot back at Klaus. Colby and Rebekah exchanged amused looks.
"Well, don't be fooled, love. I'm the devil in disguise." Klaus said, a coy grin working it's way across his face. Rebekah rolled her eyes.
"You two chit-chat. I need booze." Rebekah said, making her way towards the bar. Klaus focused on Camille, barely glancing at his sister, and seeming to not even acknowledge Colby.
"Shall we?" Klaus asked, gesturing to the dance floor. Camille looked over at Colby, who she didn't want to leave alone.
"Oh no, Cami. Go, have a good time with Satan in a Suit." Colby encouraged Camille, who laughed. Klaus smiled as he led her away to dance.
Colby stood alone, looking around the party. She wondered for a moment how many vampires were in the room with her; if Marcel or Diego knew that Colby had found out about them. On cue, Diego walked up to her, smiling.
"Colby, I didn't expect to see you here. Parties aren't usually your scene." Diego stated curiously. Colby shrugged, smiling warmly, though she felt herself tense up slightly.
"I came with a friend, who coincidentally is now off dancing with someone." Diego's eyes glanced over Colby, taking in her outfit, how nice she looked. Suddenly, Diego was uncomfortable with the idea of her being there. He had no romantic feelings nor any interest in her, but he feared that another fang crazy vampire may take notice to how nice she looked or how her heart was pounding in her chest.
"Look, Colby, you should—" Diego was cut off by another man coming over, whispering something to him and dragging him away with a soft 'I'm sorry' from Diego. Klaus soon filled the empty spot Diego left, Marcel now taking his chance to dance with Camille.
"I had no idea you were so friendly with Diego." Klaus said, an oddly amused tone to his voice. Colby shrugged with one shoulder, eyes locked on the crowd.
"I've known him practically my entire life, same with Marcel. Same with most people in this town. Which, as it turns out, are mostly witches and vampires." Colby said with a shrug, quickly looking around the party. Rebekah quickly joined the two, gathering Klaus' attention.
"You really are a hideously evil little thing, aren't you?" Rebekah smiled, sipping the drink in her hand.
"Nonsense. They're perfect for each other. You wanted Marcel distracted; voilà." Klaus said, gesturing towards the dancing pair. Colby's eyes trained on Diego as he cut through the courtyard, whispering something to Marcel, who in turn muttered something to Camille before leaving. She barely heard Rebekah mumble something before leaving.
Colby's heart was pounding — something was wrong. Something bad was going to happen. Turning to look at Klaus, only to see that he has disappeared, Colby watched as men began to lead Thierry out of the party with Marcel following. Colby's breath caught in her throat as she quickly followed after them, staying out of anyone's line of sight. Once outside, Colby watched with the rest of the vampires as Katie, another witch she was acquainted with, approached them from down the street, chanting something inaudible.
"Katie, no!" Thierry yelled as Katie waved her arm, and a streetlight exploded from above. All the vampires grabbed at their heads, falling to the ground in sync. Marcel was the only one to struggle to his feet, baring his teeth at Katie. Another light exploded in a flurry of sparks, and Marcel quickly went back to his knees.
Colby felt dread wash over her, everything coming into focus as she remembered her picture, her drawing. It was like the static at the back of her brain finally found the right frequency, everything falling into place in her mind. Running out into the street, Colby stared at Katie in panic.
"Katie, no!" Colby yelled frantically. Katie looked at Colby in surprise, as well as Klaus, who stood from a balcony watching. Marcel tried to stand again, but Katie broke his bones using magic. "Stop it!" Colby cried again, heels quickly abandoned as she tried to make a run for Marcel. Katie threw a hand out, bringing Colby to an abrupt halt before she was thrown backwards onto the ground.
"I'm sorry, Colby. I have to." Katie said sorrowfully, looking genuinely apologetic. Tears rushed down Colby's cheeks as she slowly moved to her knees, attempting to stand up. She was terrified because she knew exactly what was coming. Marcel stood again, much to Katie and Colby's astonishment.
"You're here to save your man. Well, come on, little girl!" Marcel shouted, the words echoing in Colby's head. Marcel growled, running to attack Katie, who halted him with magic just as she had done to Colby. Marcel fell once again, groaning in pain as Katie stood over him with a wooden stake.
"Die, you son of a bitch." Katie said venomously, raising it above her head.
"No!" Colby screamed, letting the noise in her head finally be silenced. The shrill sound of her scream stopped Katie in her tracks, but it was too late. Klaus took the moment of hesitation and made his move, snapping Katie's neck. Colby's scream died down the second Katie's body hit the ground, leaving her to only stare in horror as she realized that this is the exact moment that she drew. She had drawn Katie dead, with Thierry cradling her in his arms, just as he was doing now.
"No, Katie. No, no, no." Marcel nodded at Klaus, who stood stoically, ears ringing slightly from Colby's scream. Leaving his men to take care of Thierry, Marcel slowly made his way over to Colby, who had slumped back down onto her knees on the ground. He placed a gentle hand on her arm, noting that her skin felt like ice, and her hands and knees were scraped from her impact with the ground.
"I knew it. I knew she was going to die. I drew it." Colby muttered, empty gaze looking up to stare back at Marcel. He frowned, quickly bringing her in close to wrap her in a hug. She didn't reciprocate it, but didn't bother to push him away either. Colby's entire world was suddenly crumbling right beneath her feet.

Colby went straight home, ignoring the texts and calls from Camille and Hayley, who had heard her scream from the Mikaelson home. Slipping off her dress and dropped her heels onto the ground, Colby threw on a tank top and some leggings. Crawling into her bed, she stared at the wall with her phone still clutched tightly in her hand. Katie was dead. Klaus had killed her. She may very well never see Thierry again. She tried not to think of the hurt look on Marcel's face when she forcefully turned down his offer to get her home safely.
A scratching coming from under her bed made Colby pause, pulling her out of her thoughts. While it was odd, Colby wasn't too worried immediately. Maybe it was a mouse, or just the neighbors below her. As the scratching got louder, Colby carefully began to lean over the edge of the bed to look. She turned the flashlight on her phone on to see better, but before she could get a good look, she felt something forcefully grab her by the shoulders, throwing her from the bed.
Colby's head hit the hardwood floor with a crack, and she felt blood begin to trickle from the side of her head and where she bit her lip too hard when falling. Her vision was blurry, but she tried to reach her phone on the floor next to her, a the flashlight a beacon in the darkness. She couldn't see as she began to press buttons, but she faintly heard a voice calling out to her as black overtook her vision. But Colby couldn't tell if the voice was from the phone, or in her head.
