Marco
Over the next few days, she couldn't stop thinking about Marco. Glossaryk decided to cut the lesson short there. He got mad at her, but not super mad, y'know? He was as angry as he could be. He never cared too much about anything. He was a little blue magic man living in an ancient spell book. This couldn't be the worst thing that he had ever seen or the maddest he had ever been. Quite frankly, Star was pretty sure that Glossaryk didn't like her at all, and she reciprocated in the same way. She rolled her eyes at him more than she rolled her eyes at her parents. And that's saying something.
Glossaryk said he had to research demons in the spell book where he lived, staying in there for a whole week while he ignored the princess' demands. Star didn't see what the big deal was. She spent lots of time hanging around with demons. Their dimension was way cooler than Mewni, and she technically wasn't allowed to go there, which just upped the appeal. Being forbidden from something was basically just like telling her to go there. Seriously, when has telling Star not to do something ever worked?
Her best connection with the demon world was her ex, Tom. Star didn't like to think about their relationship. They spiraled high in a gust of love, but she knew right from the start that they weren't right for one another. She felt like she just couldn't reciprocate his mushy feelings. It just wasn't her style. Talk about trading roles. The demon a romantic and the sole heir to a throne a stoic pillar of strength? Weird.
Earth boys were interesting. They were sweet and looked kinda like the boys from Mewni. So, if by any chance she was to go through Mewberty, it would be a disaster. Oh well. Besides, she didn't plan on staying here on Earth for that long.
In this dimension, Star wasn't worried about people using her. No one cared that she was a princess. In fact, most people didn't even believe her.
Royalty such as herself lived a sheltered life, restricted to only certain love interests picked by her parents. A little rebellion on Earth would go a long way to make her feel better about being stuck there. Star had a certain knack for making the best out of a bad situation.
So, with Glossaryk hibernating in his book, she racked her brain to try to remember the spell's movements. It was pretty complicated. Every spare second she had she tried to replicate that spell, just to catch a glimpse of him.
It never worked.
Well, not in the way she intended.
She had done some funky spells. Normally she might have thought that these were cool and would have noted them for the next time Ludo tried to steal her wand.
But now, even fighting monsters couldn't interest her.
She sighed, flopping down on her bed. Time seems to pass so slowly on Earth. She would rather have too much to do than nothing to do at all. So she preoccupied her mind. She focused how could she ever meet someone like Marco again. He was even cuter than Oscar.
Oscar....
Star smiled. Janna told her to stay away from him. Now she definitely and absolutely wanted to date him. She was certainly starstruck every single time he talked to her, looked at her, or even just played his keytar.
Poof! She launched another spell right above her head. Didn't work. Instead, a large talking scarf fell straight down onto her unsuspecting face. She yelled in frustration.
Star had enough. If she couldn't coax Glossaryk out of the spell book, maybe her mom could.
She flopped over to the mirror hanging on her wall, and pulled back her curtains, mumbling at the mirror to call Mom.
Mishearing her, the mirror called Tom.
"Star!" He lit up, rushing over to where the mirror was. "Hey! Do you want to go to the blood moon ball with me?"
"Uuuuuuggghhhh.... noooooo..... we broke up. Why are you trying to get us back together?"
"You called me!" He grumbled and crossed his arms.
"Well, I told the mirror to call mom. So, bye!" She went to go press the end call button when Tom started to talk endlessly. Against her best judgment, Star decided to listen.
"Starship, I promise I've changed! I'm even in anger management!" His eyes pleaded her to consider. "Will you at least think about it?"
"Ok. Fine." His eyes widened and started to say something, but Star quickly cut him off with a curt reply, saying "And only because I'm bored."
He used dimensional scissors to give her a bell to ring, so if she wanted to come, it would call one of his minions to come pick her up.
"Okay! Bye Sta..."
She ended the call.
What was it with her and demons?
