"Star, I said I was sorry!!"

"Marco..." her eyes filled with tears, "do I even mean anything to you? Or am I just a way to get back at Tom? Be honest."

Star looked at Marco, the tears spilling over her large blue eyes. Marco felt terrible. It had been a way to get revenge. But that kiss... it had been so nice, and he had kissed many girls in his days.

She was just different, and he liked it. He liked the way she looked at things, the way she used to look at him. He wanted that back.

"It was." Star looked away from him, the tears falling freely now. "But not anymore."

Star was now sitting on her bed. She refused to look at him, her body angled away from him even as they spoke.

Marco moved toward her, bending on one knee, until he was level with her face. He placed a hand under her chin, his hand becoming wet, and moved her face so she was looking at her.

Her head moved easily, all of her strength gone.

"Star Butterfly. I never realized how much I liked you until now. Would you d...do me the honor of being my girlfriend?" He looked away, his mask clearly concealing a deep red blush.

He sounded so earnest Star couldn't help but say yes.

As soon as she assented, he jumped up and kissed her forcefully on the lips, her tears mixing with every emotion and feeling that swooped up.

They parted and Star laughed through her tears, Marco wiping them away. She pressed her face into his warm hand.

"What's under your mask?"

"I...." Marco backed up and looked away.

"You can trust me."

She approached him cautiously, watching his every move. He didn't make a move to stop her so she gently reached up, her fingers caressing his hair before taking his ornate mask off. His face was normal.

"Whaaaa.....?????"

"Yeah. I need something to intimidate other demons."

"I think you look beautiful anyways."

"I'd prefer handsome."

She giggled. "Okay handsome."

His arm snaked around her waist and pulled her closer again, until her face was pressed into his chest.

"I'll see you soon Star."

TIIIIME SKIIIIPPPPP

"Call Ponyhead!!!!!!"

The mirror obliged, the image of Star's best friend visible in her room.

"Gueeessssss WHAAAAATTTT?!?!??"

"Um.... you found a new dance club?"

"I FOUND A NEW BOYFRIEND!!! His name is Marco and he's suuuuppper dreamy. And a demon. Agaiiiinnn..."

"OMG GURL! I haven't had any luck with the guys. Tell me everything!"

Star proceeded with all of the details of Marco and her meeting, the blood moon ball, and him asking her out.

"And then he said he would see me soon!" Star concluded, about thirty minutes later.

Ponyhead squealed and offered to bring him with her to the bounce lounge.

"Sure! Tommrow?"

"Yeah girl. Let that boy know!"

The disconnected.

Star immediately called Marco.
