Apart

Star and Marco stayed in that dimension for months, always keeping an eye out for people, with their only contact being each other and Heckapoo.

The red woman brought their food. Books for Marco. Knitting needles and thread for Star, who had taken up knitting to pass the time.

The only thing Heckapoo didn't bring them was information. She knew the second she uttered a cry for help, the rebel princess and her boyfriend would find a way to make it back to Mewni and screw things up.

You see, the King and Queen didn't know where their daughter is. In fact, they have posters all over the city, with her angelic face drawn on. They had another poster, with Marcoon it, a scowling and twisted version of his face. He was now a criminal.

Her parents knew the kingdom couldn't lose faith in the royal family. If their perfect rulers were not all that they seemed to be, all hope for Mewni would be lost.

Their struggle now was to keep the Butterfly family in power. Nothing else mattered.

So they posted pictures of Marco, told stories of how he tainted the princess, and kidnapped her. How, if she was only home, she could be cured. She could be perfect again.

However, the demons thought he had nothing to do with it. After all, they knew that corruption was voluntary, so Star couldn't have been taken against her will.

People were beginning to take split apart, while  Star and Marco were getting closer.

Marco was wanted.

And Star was too.

No where was safe for them.

It was only a matter of time.

Mewni would erupt into chaos, one on the demon's side, and the other on the King and Queen's.

Just as Toffee had planned it.
