Sophie closed her locker and took out her books. It was her second week at Foxfire.

She turned around to face a girl walking towards her. She had her black hair with purple streaks. Her face was framed with cute freckles, and she had light blue eyes. She was wearing a dark black jacket over a plain blue shirt with light blue shorts.

"Hi." The girl said. "My name's Grace, but my friends call me Glimmer."

"Can I call you Glimmer?" Sophie asked.

" Totally! Hey, would you mind showing me around the school later? "

"Yeah sure. But, I'm actually kinda new too."

Glimmer shrugged. "Oh well."

" You know, you look familiar. " Sophie said studying her.

"Maybe I looked like someone from your dream. Well, I've got to get to class, see you later!"

She walked away, and Sophie got the rest of her books from her locker, and started walking to her own class.

Then she stopped in her tracks. Glimmer had said dream, not dreams. She had recalled a girl looking similar to her in her dream about elves and getting banished.

But that's impossible. She must have just meant to say dreams. Sophie decided.

Lunch came, and Sophie looked for Glimmer.

"Over here!" She called when she located her.

Glimmer rushed to to her. "Do you have a spot to sit?"

" Yup. Follow me. " Sophie lead the way to her table, and sat down.

"Guys this is Grace, but her friends call her Glimmer, Glimmer, this is Fitz, Wylie, Tam, Biana, Linh, and Marella my sister." She introduced. "And my adopted brother is sitting over there. " She said and pointed to Dex.

"Wow. That's a lot of names to remember. But I'll get it eventually."

Sophie noticed Tam staring at her. It was unnerving.

"So, do you like fashion?" Biana asked. " You look like you know your stuff. "

"Yes!"

"Really? " Biana smiled enthusiastically. "I love fashion."

"That's so cool!"

" Hey Sophie, " Keefe said, "You could learn a thing or two from Glimmer."

Biana pouted. "But not from me?"

Keefe laughed.

Before they knew it, lunch was over and it was time for learning again. The day flew by for Sophie, and soon it was almost the end of the school day.

"Make sure you complete your homework!" Mr. Forkle her math teacher called out as the bell rang.

Sophie picked up her books, and left the classroom, and put them in her locker.

She walked over to the front of the building, where she and Glimmer had agreed to meet up.

Sophie stood there for fifteen minutes before she gave up. Glimmer wasn't showing.

Where was she? She quickly called her mom to pick her up, and soon her mom arrived.

Though, as she was getting in the car, she could've sworn she saw Glimmer looking at the car from a distance.
