Unexpected

PT 1 : Unexpected

The final bell to school had rung, and I had immediately pulled my school papers to my chest in glee, before following all the other students out of class.

Finally, today was Friday the 31st of October, Halloween.

Although I didn't really like the idea of running around in monstrous costumes, and eating foods that got you nauseous and beside the toilet bowl for the night, My friends had invited me out.

I clumsily walked down the hall, my bag strapped to my shoulder, as a ding went off on my iPhone and I had looked down to check, I had bumped shoulders with an individual.

The person was rough, and after frantically looking up and apologising, the boy had rolled his eyes and had given me a sharp glare.

"Watch it." He spat, his eyes darkly zoomed over my persona, before sauntering away with his hands deep in his school uniforms pockets.

His friend slowly followed after him, giving me a small inspection, and it wasn't hard to realise who these two were. I watched their figures disappear around the corner, I had seen these guys around at least once a week, they were only in one class of mine, I thought.

They always sat at the back of the room, or never even turned up to classes. But I wasn't bothered, after all I had never spoken to the two before, I only knew their names.

Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jungkook.

I sighed, Sometimes I didn't understand my friends, they'd always talk about such attractive guys, and about how those boys were so attractive, when they hadn't even spoken to them before.

Like~ what if they were secretly murderers?

Those two guys always gave me the chills, just the way they're skin was paler than most people around here, yes I understand it's near the end of fall, and is nearly winter but not only that~ but their eyes are so lurid and void, I know I shouldn't dabble on their personal lives, it's just they were very abnormal.

I passed the thought away, a few more years and I won't even need to see them. I was soon to graduate anyway.

I chuckled under my breath when I heard the excited sound of my friends running down the corridor, before watching as they slowed their pace when getting beside me.

"You ready for tonight?! It's going to be so fun Delaney." Ha-na had excited boasted, placing her hand on my shoulder.

Ha-na was always a bright girl, sometimes though, her personality got the best of her and she'd be very flirtatious, not only that but conceiving.

Like me, she was one of the most popular girls in school. And also sported the cheerleading stereotype, like me. She also had long blonde hair, and her lashes were extensively longer then her natural ones. Her eyes were a plain brown.

So yes- Ha-na did get all the guys, but she was a bright soul, and even when she used her status and beauty to lure people, we had been friends since kinder garden.

"I don't know Ha-na, You know I'm not really into the dark parts of life." I had joked, making a laugh emit from the boy beside me.

He had a wide smirk plastered on his tanned face, styled blonde hair and had the same eyes as Ha-na. Samuel was his name, and he was Ha-na's twin brother. Also very popular, and sported the Jock aspect.

"Come on Delaney, why are you so innocent?" He scoffed.

I looked to the floor as he copied his sister, wrapping his arm around my other shoulder. "What will we even do? Trick-or-treating?" I asked.

Samuel sneered and gave me a bewildered look. "Are you seven? No."

I mumbled an unautobale 'sorry' as my friends shrugged my usual behaviour off and laughed. "We'll be going somewhere no one dares to go." Ha-na had said, obviously lowering her voice as we stepped into the chilly air outside to scare me.

The doors to the front of the school had closed behind us, and she had pulled my arm towards the path way, it had gotten darker and the school was now desolate.

I raised a brow towards the twins as they gave each other provoked looks.

I wasn't too sure on where we were going, no one normally went this way down the path, we had gone through some thick and bushy terrain now, and I was too high strung to laugh with my friends as they babbled.

The way we were going was unusually murky, the bushes would ever so suddenly sway and make a disturbing sound against the wind. I want to ask where exactly we were going, but I silenced myself when we stopped at a clearing.

We were at a road, one in which was silent and misused. A broken street lamp was beside us, and as the night sky dimmed, we now used that as our source of light.

"There." Samuel had then mused, pointing across the road, He was now unusually mute. He didn't look away from what he was pointing at, as Ha-na stayed silent as well.

I followed their watchful eyes, and what I saw, I believed was only a tale that my father told to get me away from this part of town. It was a wide and rusted gate, closed yes, but easy to climb.

I tried to see over the gate, and what spooked me wasn't the dark demeanour of the manor, but the now sudden heavy breathing of the wind, the trees picked up their course, and it started to get strangely chilly.

The manor looked nothing but dead, it was nearly as big as two mansions, and had tall buildings that went to the sky, it was clouded and black, but didn't look too ancient.

The only things that looked alive was the garden, which said someone did live here, but I already knew that, this Manor was famous for its name, even when no one knew who lived in there, they were infamous.

"The Bangtan Manor...." I had whispered, cupping my arms over my shoulders after the deep breeze had wavered. My ashy blonde hair flew back, and I had only wished I had brung my schools sweater.

The twins muttered laughs, and I looked to them, I had to admit I didn't like where this was heading.

"What are we doing here? Didn't your parents say never to come here?" I asked, Apprehensively looking away from the a manor, when I swear I heard whistling, and the sound of doors closing shut. The twins laughed again, I did love them, but I hated when they left me out.

Samuel scoffed. "Your father said never to come here. Our parents are on a business trip, they wouldn't even care."

I looked over to him, as he gave off a smirk and grazed his hands over my waist. It didn't make me too uncomfortable, he does it all the time, frankly I'm used to his play-boy personality.

"And we're here to have fun." He had continued, I looked up to him with clouded eyes, something about what we were doing, why we were here was a bad idea. And I knew whenever I had a bad feeling, something bad was going to happen.

"Guys I do-"

"Delaney! Seriously, stop feeling your gut and start following your heart." Ha-na said, before pushing me towards the house, I sighed when I walked past the yellow painted halfway line to the road.

I slowly turned around towards the two, they looked to me in jest, as if they were expecting me to go in and come back out like nothing.

I shake my head, ready to walk back after feeling like eyes were on the back of my head. This wasn't my cup of tea, if they so badly wanted to go in, they could. But I had always swore to my father about not going this way, and here I was breaking the promise.

"I dare you." Samuel had said, giving off a laugh as he pointed towards the house. "To go to the front door."

I took a shaky breath, everyone had known me to never be able to say no, I was too open, I was too kind. I guess my friends took that to their advantage. Sometimes I really hated that...

After seconds of debating with myself, and knowing I could never let my friends down, I spoke up. "Fine." Shakily, I turned back around.

The two silently cheered; which scared me even more, they were being silent because there were people living here, and because they knew they were dangerous.

I got to the gate, I didn't turn back towards my friends, because they'd just make me feel more nerveraked than I already was, and that wouldn't help my point now after Samuel had suddenly yelled out.

"Are you too chicken?" Before mimicking a chicken as he bent down and made bird sounds, pretending to peck the floor with his outstretched hand.

I ignored him, turning back and without any slow steps, slipping through the biggest gap in the gate, seeing as I wasn't tall I could slide through. Even when my bag got stuck to the gate, and I had quickly slipped it off.

My feet landed on the other side, and that's when everything changed.

The damp ground slightly erupted against my feet, the used to be mild wind turned into strong gusts, and I watched as the red and white roses had painfully moved with the wind.

Samuel and Ha-na had both stopped speaking and stuffing around, probably both surprised how the innocent one in the group did something they'd never suspect her to do.

The garden was gorgeous though, the one right out the front of the Manors doors were even prettier, and cascaded down the path towards the fountain from the door.

I jerked away from the path when after stepping on it, hearing something flicker towards the second story of the manor, and looking up to see the window to the room being slammed shut.

What was I going to do? Touch the door and run? The people or person that lived here obviously didn't welcome people nicely. I was screwed for.

But I regained myself, fastening my pace. This was such a dangerous idea, if my father didn't want me here then something was obviously wrong, I shouldn't be doing this.

My train of thought had snapped, when I had slowly walked past the prettier garden, the ones with pale whites and light pinks mingled into different flowers.

I grazed my hand against them, and restrained from pulling one apart from the others and used it in my hair, but that would be cruel.

I took a nervous breath when my feet had slowly padded up the front steps to the house, like I said before~ this house wasn't old, the manor was made out of some rich stone, and the stairs didn't creak or make a sound at all.

As my hand reached out, the wind spiralled, and had pushed my whole body against the door after I had lost my balance, I waited for the impact when the door had suddenly opened.

I was dead for, I can't believe I did such a disrespectful thing, breaking promises and laws at the same time, this wasn't me.

My body came in contact with hard marble floor, and I closed my eyes when the chilly air closed the door by itself, a sudden slam flung through the house, and I braced myself for what was to come.

To be continued....
