The Min's

pt18 : The min's

Wow, this manor was far to big then what I had expected. I was still walking down the halls and slim passages, it had felt like an hour, although admiring the rooms and paintings on the walls were one of the things distracting me from death of boredom.

I listened to the pouring of rain above me, pelting down from the dark and gloomy sky, and onto the Families roof, it echoed throughout the slightly silent house, I could still hear the three maknaes bickering and fighting, before not long after of walking did I hear Jung Hoseok finally break them up.

"You little shits! We're trying to work! Why aren't you all at school? Hang out with Del! Go for a walk! Don't come back until you all calm the fuck down!"

"But Hyung!"

"It was Jimin's fault!"

"Oh you lit–"

I immediately blocked my enchanted ears from having to hear them fight, concentrating on the petals of rain hitting against the windows of the halls and the roof of my home as I continued to walk towards the Min's bedroom.

Finally. I sighed, coming to a halt in front of the usual looking door soon to open to show a couple, I wasn't sure what they were doing, sleeping? Working? It was silent...

"Min Yoongi stop it right now!"

That, I should take back.

I wanted to wait it out, were they fighting? No, scratch that, Yoogni was laughing, No, also scratch that, I think he just choked on something, now Marni's laughing.

I'm worried, but not really at the same time. Worried for myself of course, not them, they're demons, I don't think they can choke and die so easily.

Taking a deep breath, I knocked on the heavy black door, and listened as the laughter creased a second, before I heard Yoongi.

"Bags' not getting it."

"Don't act like your seven."

"Just because—"

Over the sound of the males deep and gruff voice, were the light steps of most probably Marni's feet.

Only seconds later did the door slide open, and in my view was Min Marni, in that fancy white blouse she always wore, and her hair out in long black waves.

She did not look impressed, the look on her face had given me the idea that Yoongi been doing something to bother her, enough to make her eyes black.

"Sorry Marni."

Marni scowled, looking down at my form. "What are you doing here? What did Namjoon say about coming over this side of the Manor?!"

"I live here now Marni!" I whined.

"I know that." Marni rolled her plasticine, blue eyes. "But Yoongi's never really treated anyone differ from our family nice, especially not the enemy."

Marni quickly shut the door, behind her, and grabbed at my hand. "Come on, what do you need?" She sighed, moving to walk with me down the hall.

I seemed more connected with this family, all but one. He was the last step, and although he was dangerous, especially for an angel like myself. I still had the heavy feeling of wanting to know him.

"He may come to dinner tonight, if your so interested in meeting him." My face brightened at her words. "But— you can't go acting out of place, Who knows what he'll do, just because Tashyung's your master, doesn't mean he can stop anyone from doing anything, Yoongi's always had the upper hand in this family."

As we slowly moved into the library, one which I hadn't visited yet. A sudden tension fell into the air as I calmly opened the door. I gasped under my breath, Marni going ridged.

The man I had only once seen before, I didn't count the time I'd seen his face in the portraits. With thick black hair and narrowed dark eyes, his tongue swiped at his bottom lip, and he was lying across one of two, love seats.

His eyes darkened when they met my own wide eyes. My heart was beating rapidly in my chest, chills running down my spine, looking into his eyes was liking looking straight at the face of death.

"So you're the angel that's plagued my family."

His voice was deep and husky, nothing you could really get used to, although Taehyung's voice was quite similar.

"I—"

"Yoongi." Marni sighed. "What did we talk about?"

"I remember what we talked about Kitten, I'm keeping my promise as long as she doesn't try anything, with me, with my wife or my family."

Marni only stayed still, which left me to make my point. "I- I would never do anything to hurt Marni, or one of the boys. I dot think I'm even capable..."

"Good." The male hissed, Yoongi rubbed his hand at his jaw as if he was contemplating something.

He turned to his wife. "Now Kitten, what does this girl want?" Marni only rolled her eyes, walking deeper into her ion and moving to sit beside him.

"This girl has a name Yoongi, and it's Delaney."

"This girl suits her better." He whispered underneath her breath, but nonetheless moved his arms to wrap around his wife's waist.

"I'm here to ask some questions." I clarified, pushing out my shoulders and standing up taller to seem more confident in front of Marni and Satan's Son.

"Hmm—" Yoongi seemed as he was about to speak, or maybe snap in retaliation, but Marni glared at him, and cut the demon off.

"She has a right to ask questions, don't snap." She scowled, and Yoongi only sadly looked away from her. It seemed from afar as though Yoongi was a little disappointed in himself, deeper down I had a feeling he really had feelings for Marni, and definitely didn't like to get her angry.

"Well I was speaking with Namjoon, about what's happening with the Arch angels, he said you guys might've had more information on everything that may be happening."

"Of course we do." Marni smiled. "Yoongi, Jin And I are the oldest in the family, we've lived for 7 centuries."

Seven centuries?! That's... incredible, imagine all the things they've done, how old are they exactly? They'd have to be more then 700 years old...

"How old does that make Taehyung and the others?" I asked, I couldn't help my curiosity, but I also knew the next few hours would help me a lot, I'll definitely learn from them.

"Jungkook and Taehyung have only really lived a century and a half, that's why they're so accustomed and adaptive to this year." Yoongi sighed, then continued.

"Jimin's only a few years older then Taehyung, Namjoon And Hoseok have probably been around since the ends of the medieval period, so 600?"

"That's crazy." I hummed, moving to sit in the spare seat across from the two. Marni smiled delicately.

"It is a little crazy if you think about it. Now go ahead, ask what you need to know."

"Oh— " I had soon forgotten was I was supposed to ask, it took a few seconds for me to regroup.

"Did you know my mother?"

The two's heads wiped towards me faster then a human possibly could. Yoongi's eyes narrowed, bs he presumed to tell the story anyway.

"Your mother was daughter of God, as I am son of Satan, We seemed to clash very much." That makes sense...

Marni then spoke. "But that doesn't define who you are Del, We didn't know your mother enough to even know she had a child till it actually happened."

"Did you ever meet her?" My voice seemed fragile, I never really got to meet my mother, but she seemed a little mischievous but although caring from my perspective.

"We both did." Marni had a weak smile on her face as she spoke, but it seems as if she was still slightly closed off. "She was very beautiful Del, a lot like you. You look so much like her."

I only smiled, I couldn't really take that compliment in, I never got to see her face, well... remember it.

"Anything else you need to know?" Yoongi sighed, distracted by the side of Marni's face.

"No." I sighed. That was enough.

Soon I had left for the dining hall, dinner would soon be served and my stomach couldn'tslowly seem to hold in its hunger, I was a big eater but I hadn't eaten today at all. I hadn't even been into their kitchen, and even then it'll probably have just meat or blood stored there.

I sighed, walking into the main lounge room, somewhere I hadn't been before. I didn't think Jungkook would be there as well.

The room was connected to the room I had first walked into, connected to the room where I met everyone. The light was uniquely a vibrant green, much like a creepy rave or something as such. There was one long couch and a table beside it.

The carpets were strange colours and swirls of reds and browns, greens and yellows.

There was a fire place at the wall the couch was facing, and it had helped outline the demons face. The fire was warm, and it helped me feel comfort in such a cold place.

Jungkook sat, lying across the couch. His eyes didn't seem to leave mine as he watched me walk into the room. In his mouth, was a Lollie pop, which as he licked it, coated his tongue and lips a deep blue.

A small although wicked smile had been plastered onto his face, his legs were stretched along the seat and you couldn't really sit anywhere else.

He moved his legs out to the sides, and patted the now vacant seating. "Come."

The carbon dioxide leaving my throat seemed to be clogged by an unknown force. My fingers tingled, I had the want to touch him, I didn't know why I had this sudden want.

I silently moved to sit beside him, and he didn't seem to move his eyes away from my decrepit form.

He moved to twirl a blonde strand of my hair around his rawboned finger. His eyes didn't seem to stray from my own facial expressions.

"I've never seen you on this side of the manor before. What are you doing here Doll?"

"Oh–" you were surprised by the sudden nickname, but somehow it warmed and tickled at your heart strings. "I was just with Namjoon." I partially lied, but did it matter? Not really.

"Namjoon huh?" His was was as solid as rock, his eyes didn't drop from their stare, but his eyes did seem to efficiently darken is comparison to before. Jealousy was surly stuck in his throat.

"Yes." I soon tried to change the subject when the jealous aura didn't seem to subside. "What are you doing here?"

"Waiting for you, Doll."

"Pardon? Why?" I was surprised, why would anyone actually want to talk with me? I'm absolutely boring.

A smile fell on his lips, it wasn't fake, nor too mischievous. I could see the deep tings of blue smeared across his lips, and as he licked some access off his lips, I could see the blue on his tongue.

I only did realise he was nonchalantly and lazily moving forwards, when I palpated his melting hot breath on my neck, and his warm hands caving in around my body, my mouth only gaped open at his vexatious tactics.

"Well for starters—" he hummed. "You're the only person in this manor who would understand me."

"Understand you? What about Taehyung?"

"I could never tell him this." His wicked smile widened. "Why do you think I call you Doll?"

I was at a loss for words, a heavy loss, my neck tickled as his lips moved closer to my skin. His eyes had never leaved my own body.

"Because... Although you look so fragile and so effortless to manipulate. I think I like you too much to be able to destroy you."

Silence, it was deafening. Like many people said, "silence says more then words." I finally realised how true it was. I gulped.

"You see? I could never tell my brother that....That, I would do anything to feel your lips on mine."

"Why would you... ever want me?"

"Ever since I first laid eyes on you, I've asked myself the same question everyday. Why you? Even when Taehyung got you, I asked myself why?"

He continued, dropping the lollie pop from around his finger and far away. "I have never been so in love, and with my species enemy."

That's when I felt it.

Hands moved to hold my cheek, while the other guided my body closer towards the Demonic boy. He held me close, and as our lips met, I could feel his awfully slow heart beat turn into something overly erratic.

His lips tasted like the Lollie pop he had discarded a while ago. The fine taste of blue berry and sugar, mixed with the moisture of his lips made it feel eternal, like a fantasy.

And when I slowly pushed him away, I realised how silly I was to be tricked, to be manipulated—

He was gone.

"Was it just a vision?"
