Protective

PT9: protective

This was awfully tedious, having to follow Taehyung around as he just drawled on about where and where not to go and what and what not to do. I knew he had nothing better to do, and after he had shown me all the rooms, Jin's to Jungkook's, to the garden in the front yard and the empty room that only held a swing, in which he said only Jungkook used.

We ended up now at the back of the house, slipping through the large back doors. Taehyung took me to where a yard of red and dead flowers stood, not too far away was a family of horses loitering around, with black and silver coats.

He silently sat down on a metal bench, flicking me over with his finger, rolling his dark irises as he waited for me to timidly sit beside him.

"Hopefully I gave you a good aspect on where to go." He murmured, before bluntly looking towards the horses, a miniature smile fell on his lips as he looked to be thinking intensely, before it immediately was wiped off, but I took no anguish.

I only nodded, not wanting to displease him, I looked over the particular view, observing the flowers, which out the front of the manor, were more looked after then these ones.

Taehyung grudgingly exhaled.

"How's your wound?"

I looked away from his inquisitive gaze, which abruptly looked towards me when I tried to harmonize my lying heart.

"It's fine." I bluntly answered, suddenly getting up and making an excuse. "Now I'm going to get ready for school tomorrow."

I hurriedly stood, brushing off my clothes and fixing my collar, before exhaling deeply. I was expecting him not to sweat and maybe just leave the topic alone. But from the corner of my eye, I watched as Taehyung's orbs had visibly dimmed, and started to look like an eclipse.

I immediately wandered towards the doors, wanting to get away as rapidly as I could, I only got my hand around the door before a black mist developed clearly in front of me, before the mist morphed into Kim Taehyung.

Now...I wasn't very prepared. But I was adamant on not having to tell him anything.

But, He could just lift my top up, couldn't he?

"Leave me alone please, Taehyung." I ordered, trying to push around him to get back into the manor, my face started to heat up from obvious frustration, as he wasn't moving from my sight.

"I'm sorry, but I don't remember you ever being my Master." He scoffed, baring his fangs as black mist clouded around his shoulders, his skin had paled the slightest, and I narrowed my eyes.

"Why are you getting so worked up?" I asked, not getting so angry, I softened my voice. I should give my nicer approach, maybe if I do they'll be more humane and gracious.

"I-" No words left his lips, and from his blank state he was no longer sullen and resentful, and from his behaviour the mist gradually dispersed.

I raised a cautious brow.

"Just show me the wound." He demanded, in which I looked down immediately wanting to disagree, crossing my arms over my chest and locking my arm so he couldn't latch onto it.

I could never say no. I only sealed my lips.

Taehyung had then fiercely grabbed my wrist, pulling me into his chest with such a force I nearly tumbled over, But a steady arm grabbed my waist, before the other hand ripped the material of the clothing on my arm.

I sighed teary eyed, before trying to pull my wrist out of his inflictive and agonising grip, that was sure to give me a noticeable bruise.

I shakily closed my eyes in distress when hearing the distinct grunt come from the taller man. I could then feel his fingers grazing over the alleviated arm, I flinched at the chilly and extraordinary feeling.

He was mute, his eyes gracing over the spot multiple times, looking into his clearly puzzled and clouded eyes.

"It...healed?" He asked, his voice then morphing sober before he blinked multiple times, lifting his eyes away from my skin and towards my own irises.

"I- I already knew about it okay? Just leave it."

"How can I leave it? Humans shouldn't have the ability to do that." He flared, glaring darkly and tightening his grip on my wrist, pulling me forwards. "Unless..." He gave me a mistrustful look.

"You're not human."

"Don't make assumptions like that."

"Oh. I will make as many assumptions as I want. I am your Master."

I dived back, swiftly ducking from Taehyungs aggressive hands as he tried to pull me back into his firm and potent grip, slipping behind him and barged the door open before running for my life.

Running through the hall, I couldn't seem to hear anything behind me, I considered he hadn't bothered following me, so I had hindered my speed, knowing more members of the family could hook and eye.

Although, my luck had diminished.

Not too far away, standing in net and tidy black clothing. His hair parted in the middle and his hands in his pockets as he looked at the unique painting on the wall, stood Jeon Jungkook.

I had unhesitatingly haltered my tracks before looking over my shoulder.

Jungkook hadn't looked away from the painting, deep in thought he took no notice till a roar of displeasure and animosity came from where I was only a mere minute ago.

"Delaney get back here now!"

His voice was so incredibly deep and amiably husky, It didn't register that I should've started running again, eminently even after Jungkook had snapped his head away from the painting and towards my stock still body.

"What in the hell happened?"

Jungkook had sneered, clawing over my persona with his ashen and dusky black eyes. Looking to my overt blushed face and to the long rip down my long sleeved blouse.

"It's a personal matter." I whispered, knowing unequivocally he'd be able to hear, by all means he was a supernatural creature.

"If you want to continue breathing, run faster. Taehyung-Hyung has been known to be horrifying when outraged."

So I did, past Jungkook and his inquisitive gaze, through another long and arcane hall, before speedily and soothingly closing the door behind me in a hast.

I soundlessly tried to pant, rubbing my arm in obvious discomfort.

why was I so scared?

Why was he so angry?

Last of all... why did he care?
