Honorable Mention (3rd) in Solo Jin Category
1.) What made you decide to make a BTS Fanfiction?
It started when came I across a Y/N meme, which at the time, I didn't understand. From there I did some research and figured it out, and came accross a bunch of fanfiction. I really loved them, and ended up being inspired to start writing again (which I used to do, but I didn't care about it for a period of time). I began to find more and more meaning to what I was writing, and now it's a thing I do a lot.
2.) What was your inspiration from your storyline?
Me- someone who literally cannot ever finish a whole TV series because of the sole reason that I'm too lazy to start any sort of app- actually completed a Tv show. There were just some scenes in the show that inspired me. Like, the character had trauma from a past kidnapping, and the way they would showcase the flashbacks made it really cool, and had put me in the mood to write some sort of kidnaping story.
3.) What message or word of encouragement you might like to share with to your fellow writers?
Don't give up, you know? Like, I swear I had zero intentions, or thoughts of being one of the winners. Bbviously I though, 'wow, it'd be pretty epic if I won', but I legit didn't expect to be in 3rd place. Especially since my book is severly unedited and probably has a ton of mistakes I haven't even seen yet. Yet, somehow this happened, even as I was really about to give up. Reach for the stars, my people.
4.) Can you give a word of advice to your fellow writers in terms of writing a story? or publishing a book?
If you are very confident in your book, 10000% publish it. if it's something that you put yout blood, sweat, and tears (refrence intended) into, then 10000% go for it. Art is for the world, and writitng is an art. So GO FOR IT.
5.) Last question, how do you personally deal when you've experienced a "Writer's Block"? What do you do?
I take a mental break. My writing is at its best when my mind is at ease, and isn't forcing itself to write something. It's almost as if what you write is like a reflection of what you feel. If you feel angry, it'll be angry, and if your overjoyed, then your writing will be sweet. But if I'm tense and thinking to much of anything, then things just wont work out. Or I just read other books, and gain inspiration from other people.
