Love Dressed in White by enasthetic
Runner Up (2nd) in the Short Stories Category
1.) What made you decide to make a BTS Fanfiction?
Well, I've always had so many story ideas that I couldn't write down, so many bizarre but interesting dreams that could easily become stories on their own, but I just couldn't find the courage to present them to the world. After a few years of becoming an ARMY, I discovered Wattpad and read so many wonderful fanfic stories that made me realize that anyone who loved creating stories could conveniently make their creations available for others to read. Since BTS inspired me to unveil my imaginations, I decided to write fanfictions (it's fun and enjoyable to read that way, too hehe) and let out all my imaginations in the form of stories.Imagining BTS members as the main characters makes it so much easier to write.
2.) What was your inspiration from your storyline?
Let's get straight to the point: It was the thought of having my own clone.I've always wanted to have my own clone ever since I heard that humans could clone themselves (I still do lmao). But then, I would always wonder how they would feel after learning that they were a copy of someone else. It's different from being twins. Thinking that, I would debate with myself on whether cloning humans should be legal or not.To make this matter more intense, I decided to go for a clone of someone who died, someone whom the main character couldn't forget and needed so bad. So there ya have it (I thought of the storyline while peeling potatoes bc why not, right? *cackle cackle*)
3.) What message or word of encouragement you might like to share with to your fellow writers?
Don't be afraid to make your imaginations come true. I've been there so I know how it feels to decide if you should create something and become vulnerable by showing it to the whole world.Honestly, it took me a long time to commit to writing and a lot of guts to start writing a book... I was really afraid at first, worrying about what people might think, if my books would go unnoticed, if I should delete my books, whether my decision to publish books was wrong or not. I tend to overthink a lot so my early days were full of endless thoughts, sleepless nights and the repetitive actions of writing and deleting words. Now, I'm very glad that I made that decision. I got to read what people like about my stories, what I should improve on, received so much love from beautiful souls here, and found myself a creative outlet, a productive hobby. You shouldn't be afraid of making mistakes because you WILL make them. That gives room for improvement and that's very important. Don't let the number of reads or votes discourage you. What's important is you stay true to your own imaginary world that YOU are creating. I tell this to everyone who asks for advice: Your story is YOUR world, YOUR art. Paint it however you want. Those who are writing in their non-native language (like me), don't be afraid to publish your story. It's already amazing that you're writing in a different language. Learn as you go.
4.) Can you give a word of advice to your fellow writers in terms of writing a story? or publishing a book?
I learnt this from my mistakes: Planning the story, all the little important details and events beforehand is crucial. If you don't do that, your story would lack in terms of logic, smooth transition and plot development. Plot holes will be present, too (ouch). It makes everything so much easier to write as well.Planning=Not so secret Secret weapon
5.) Last question, how do you personally deal when you've experienced a "Writer's Block"? What do you do?
There are times when even if I drafted the chapters, my brain just don't cooperate with me to imagine the scenes and write even a single word. During those times, I just try to rest since exhaustion usually causes that.My motto: When nothing is working, sleep.Resting really helps.
