Vineet is astonished when his boss, Rohit Mehra calls him at his home. He politely denies the offer and tells him that he can meet him on Monday. But on Rohit's insistence and Anamika's push, he gets ready to meet him. Anamika lets him go but asks him to come home early.

Mehra House

Vineet reaches Ruhana's home and Rohit welcomes him. He looks around the house.

"Ruhana kahan hai?" he asks Rohit.

"Wo so rahi hai." Rohit replies calmly.

"Is waqt? Abhi toh din ke 12 baje hain, Sir. Wo is waqt toh nahi soti! Office mein rehti hain, toh mujhe pareshan karti hain.” Vineet says ending his statement with a chuckle.

“Beta, baat hi aisi hain. Mujhe tumse kuch zaroori baat karni thi.” Rohit says.

“Kya hua? Sab thik toh hain na?” Vineet asks, feeling something suspicious.

“Thik toh nahi hai, beta. Aur isliye maine tumhe yahan bulaya hain.” Rohit says calmly.

“Seedhe seedhe baat kahiye na, uncle. Hua kya hain?” Vineet asks, informally calling him uncle.

“Vineet, tum Ruhana ke ache dost ho. Isliye maine tumhe yahan bulaya hain. Pichle kuch waqt mein aisa kuch hua hai jo humne kabhi nahi socha tha. Mera mann kehta hain ki tum hi meri madad kar sakte ho.” Rohit says while looking at Vineet hopefully.

“Agar mujhse ho paya toh zaroor karunga. Lekin hua kya hain?” Vineet asks, he is now baffled.

“Main chahta hun ki tum kuch din tak Ruhana ke sath raho.”Rohit says.

“Kyun? Aur aap aisa kyun chahte hain?” Vineet asks softly.

“Main jaanta hoon ki mujhe aisa nahi karna chahiye. Lekin main majboor hoon. Ruhana ki wajah se.  Wo is waqt aisi haalat mein hain, jisme se tum hi usko nikaal sakte ho.” Rohit says.

“Par hua kya?” Vineet asks, puzzled at the moment.

Meanwhile, before Rohit could reply, they heard a feminine voice. A cheerful one.

“ Vineet! You’re back! Kahan lagaye tumne itne din! Pata hai, how much I missed you?” The girl hugs him.

She’s no one but Ruhana. She hugs Vineet in a way which she should not do. Vineet feels weird as she hugs him but pats her back and then they drift apart.

“Tum kahan chale gaye they? Mujhe toh kaha tha ek hafte mein aaoge, ab dekho 3 hafte laga diye! Papa bhi pata nahi kya bekar ki baatein kar rahe they! Ab tum kahin nahi jaoge! Samjhe!” Ruhana says nonchalantly.

“Main kahin nahi gaya tha, Ruhana! I was busy with a project. Bas client office jaata tha. Lekin uncle ko pata tha!” Vineet replies, he’s baffled by Ruhana’s questions.

“Uncle! Tum phir uncle kehne lage! How many times, do I have to tell you that he’s your Dad! Samjhe, Mr Vineet Mehra!” She says, slightly slapping Vineet’s cheek.

That’s when something strikes Vineet’s mind. He looks at Ruhana who’s smiling at him.

“Tum fresh ho jao, main coffee laati hun.” Ruhana says and rushes into the kitchen.

Vineet looks baffled and looks at Rohit who nods his head affirmatively.

“Jaisa maine socha tha waise hi hua, beta! Wo tumhe apna pati samajhne lagi hain, bhul gayi hai ki tum uske dost ho. Na jaane kyun tumhe wo samajh rahi hain jo tum nahi ho. Tumhe usey is situation mein se nikalna hain. Please, beta!” Rohit says.

Vineet is perplexed at the moment. Yes! He got it right! His friend, Ruhana is considering him as her husband Vineet Mehra. While he is quite different from her hubby. But why? Can’t Ruhana differentiate between her husband and friend? Why is she behaving weirdly?

“Lekin isme main kya kar sakta hoon?” Vineet breaks his silence.

“Beta, tumhe uske sath rehna hain aur dheere dheere usey yakeen dilana hain ki uska pati ab is duniya mein nahi raha. Wo ye maanna nahi chahti. Isliye usne tumhe apna pati samjha! Uske dimag par asar hua hain. Itni jaldi wo nahi maanegi.” Rohit says, worried about his only daughter while Vineet is lost in thoughts.

“Mujhe kuch waqt chahiye.” Vineet says.

Rohit nods. He knows its not easy, and knowing the kind of person Vineet is, he knows it would be hard for him. Vineet takes his leave before Ruhana could return back.

Khanna House

Vineet reaches home and Anamika opens the door greeting him cheerfully. He moves inside the house and sits on the couch. Anamika asks him to take her to Juhu beach, yet he doesn’t respond. She feels something fishy. She sits beside him.

“Kuch hua hai? Boss ne kuch kaha?” Anamika asks softly.

“Vineet dekho, tum mujhe darao mat. Batao na kya hua?” Anamika asks again when she doesn’t receive any reply from Vineet.

At this, Vineet looks at her and holds her hands in his.

“Ana, tumhe mujh par vishwas toh hai na?” He asks, and Anamika gets tense at his question.

“Of course! Mujhe tum par khud se zyada vishwas hain. Par tum aisa kyun puch rahe ho?” Anamika asks again.

“Kisi ki madad karne mein agar koi galti ho gayi toh?” he asks, he looks fearful.

“Vineet! Kisi ki madad karne mein kaisi galti? Aur ye kaisi baatein kar rahe ho? Tumhare boss ne kya tumhe mujhe satane ka kaam diya hain? Saaf saaf bolo na!” Anamika demands an answer.

Vineet looks at her, and in the next instant, he hugs her, hiding his face in her shoulder. Anamika is clueless about his actions. She begins to smear his head, asking him the matter. On the other hand, Vineet is lost in thoughts — about his conversation with Ruhana and her father, and his own wife on the other end.

What will be Vineet’s decision? Will he agree to Rohit? And will he tell the truth to Anamika?
