"Lou," Harry whispers softly, nudging gently against Louis' clothed shoulder. The boy had woken up early to ensure he had time to do what he wanted to. And that was to make Louis breakfast. He figured Louis deserved some pampering after yesterday.

He nudges him again and Louis makes a muffled sound, his gorgeous blues fluttering open to meet green. "Haz?" He mumbles, blinking furiously at him with a smile blossoming onto his face.

"I wanted to do something nice for you since you didn't have the best day yesterday..." Harry gives him a grin of pride, passing the waffles he made him. Louis glances at him fondly and then down at the food, smiling to himself.

"This looks amazing, Haz!" Louis tells him and sits up, propping the plate on his thighs. "Did you not making any for yourself?" He questions when noticing Harry isn't eating, nor has a plate of food with him.

"I just had a banana," Harry shrugs with a small smile and Louis squints his eyes. He grabs his knife and fork and cuts a piece of the waffle. He brings the fork to Harry's lips and they both keep eye contact as the   younger opens his mouth, allowing Louis to feed him.

"Come here," Louis pats the couch. "We will share."

After both enjoying the meal, and having cleaned the dishes, Louis making a hot chocolate for the both of them as they did so, they are back on the couch, sipping away at their choclatey beverage. "Do you want to talk about yesterday?" Harry breaks the silence, cautiously glancing over at a now-stilled Louis.

Louis seems to ponder the question for a minute before nodding. He trusts Harry and knows the boy would never judge him for anything. "Yeah... Do you think we could maybe go for a walk, though? I don't want to stay in this house much longer."

"Of course!"

"We met in highschool," Louis tells Harry as they stroll along the street. "I played soccer and his best friend was my team-mate, so he was at a game, and we ran into each other... Literally," Louis chuckles at the memory, rubbing his hands together. "My friend, Josh, was also on the team and was always around from the moment we met."

Harry just listens in silence, nudging Louis with his hand every now and then, trying his best to make sure Louis knows he is still listening, without having to interrupt him.

"I caught Josh and him together a few times, but Charlie always assured me he was drunk and didn't mean it... I knew it was stupid to do so, but I always stayed with him, because I didn't want to lose him, even if he wasn't the person he was when he was young. But, it seems as though him and Josh can't stay away from each other."

"I'm sorry, Lou." Harry frowns, not knowing really what else to say. "You are still young, very attractive and have an amazing personality... You will find someone who puts you first and loves you unconditionally, I promise you."

Louis looks at the garden they walk past, swiping his hand along the petals of a rose. "I hope so... Have you ever been in a relationship?" Louis quickly changes the subject, his eyes becoming teary.

"Nah," Harry blushes and looks at the ground. "I haven't ever had anyone interested in me." He shrugs and Louis looks almost appalled.

"I'm sure that isn't true!" He almost splatters out. "Most people just aren't good enough, so the universe is waiting for you to find the right person, I reckon," Louis winks at him as Harry giggles softly. "The house will be empty once you're gone."

"I'll be over all of the time, you won't be able to get rid of me," Harry whipers when noticing how Louis' face has once again dropped. "You'll be sick of me."

"That isn't even possible..."

"Lou! Look!" Louis looks over to see an animal shelter and then looks back at Harry. The smaller pouts and blinks up at him. "Can we go in? Please? I want to say hi to the animals and cuddle a puppy!"

Louis happily agrees and grabs onto Harry's hand as they cross the road. They make it inside and talk to the lady at the front desk, who leads them to where the animals are. "You can get into this enclosure with the dogs, just make sure to close it," she smiles at them.

"Of course," Louis grins and watches as she walks away to see another customer. He opens the enclosure and allows Harry in, himself following right after and closing the door behind them.

"Look at them!" Harry coos and immediately sits on the ground, allowing the dogs to jump all over him. Louis laughs and sits down next to him on his knees, moving to pat the seemingly older dog that isn't as excited as the others.

"Hi, there," he whispers to the dog, who then goes on to nuzzle his face against Louis' hand. Louis looks at Harry, who slowly crawls over with a smile on his face.

"Hi," he whispers to the greying dog, who happily walks up to him and slides her body along Harry's knees. "Oh my God, Lou. She's gorgeous," Harry says in awe, softly petting the dog on the head. "I want a dog so bad, but mum would never let me."

Louis watches Harry and the dog for a while. He watches Harry's bright face as he blabbers to the dog, and he watches how happy the dog looks now that he has warmed up to them. "I've been thinking about getting a dog for a while now..." Louis tells Harry, who looks up with widened eyes and parted lips.

"Louis... Are you saying what I think you're saying?"

"I think we should get her. She can be ours, but live with me... The poor girl is old and can't spend the rest of her life in here. We can give her a good home, yeah?" Louis mumbles, patting at her ears.

"Yes!" Harry almost looks like he is gonna cry. "What should her name be?"

"Hmm, you choose!" Louis grins and looks down at the panting pup.

"What about... Ruby?" Harry questions and Louis smiles, nodding quickly.

"That sounds absolutely perfect!"
