The next few days have went by and Johnny was able to find a place to open his karate dojo at the mini-mart, then that morning Miguel and Mariposa both woken up, they got change and had breakfast, and they both went to the dojo to get ready for their first lesson. As they enter the building, they saw Johnny waiting for them wearing a karate outfit.

So as Mariposa and Miguel took of their shoes and got on the mats, they both stand in front of Johnny as they place their hands behind them as they can't wait to start on their first karate lesson, and Miguel began to speak.

"So are we going to get the karate pajamas, too. . ." Asked Miguel as he look at Johnny.

"Quiet!" Shouted Johnny making Miguel and Mariposa quiet." The student only speaks when spoken to. . . Is that understood?"

"Uh, yes." Said Miguel as he look at Johnny.

"Yes Johnny." Said Mariposa as she stand straight and Johnny look at them like he was expecting them to say something right.

"Yes, sir?" Said Miguel in confusion.

"Yes Captain?" Said Mariposa as she tried to understand what he wants to be call.

"You two will always address me as "Sensei," is that understood?" Asked Johnny as he look at the siblings.

"Yes, Sensei." Said Miguel and Mariposa together.

"These aren't pajamas, this is a gi, and you'll get one when you've earned it." Said Johnny as he look at the two siblings." All right, are you two ready to begin your training?"

"Yes, Sensei." Said Miguel and Mariposa together.

Then as Johnny nods his head, and then at a quick flash, he hits Miguel by the stomach and flips him over the mat as he sweep his legs over Mariposa, causing her to fall on her back, and it shock the two siblings, one minute they were standing and the second they knew, they are now on the ground.

"Ow. . . What the. . ." Said Miguel as he groaned.

"What the hell?!" Said Mariposa as she rubs her back.

"Lesson one, strike first." Said Johnny as he look at the two siblings." Never wait for the enemy to attack."

"Geez Johnny, can't you just warn us?" Asked Mariposa as sh got up.

"Yeah. . . You could have gave us, like, a warning." Said Miguel as he got up groaning.

"Quiet!" Shouted Johnny as he look at the siblings and began to circle around them.

As the two siblings have got up from the mat, Miguel have took out his inhaler and as he shook it, he took one deep breath from it, as Mariposa help him calm down as she rubs his back and Johnny began to speak as he circle around.

"We do not train to be merciful here. Mercy is for the weak. Here on the street, in competition, a man confronts you, he is the enemy." Said Johnny as he look at the siblings." An enemy deserves no mercy. What is the problem, Mr. Diaz, what's his problem Ms. Diaz?"

"There's no problem, Sensei." Said Miguel as he since a bit." You punched me, and I have asthma, so. . ."

"Yeah, he has this asthma problem since he was a kid, so he needs. . ." Said Mariposa as she try to speak till Johnny took Miguel's inhaler and throws it to the wall, shocking the two siblings.

"Not anymore, we do not allow weakness in this dojo." Said Johnny as he look at the two siblings." So you can leave your asthma and your peanut allergies and all that other made-up bullshit outside, is that understood?"

"But sensei, those are real medical problems Miguel has." Said Mariposa as she looks at Johnny.

"Yeah, I was. . ." Said Miguel as he tried to speak till Johnny gave them a look.

"Yes, Sensei, understood." Said Miguel and Mariposa together.

"Cobra Kai isn't just about Karate, it's about a way of life." Said Johnny as he points to the wall with "Strike First Strike Hard No Mercy" written on it." Take that first lesson. Striking first is the initial step towards victory. Okay, like when you're at a party, and you see a hot babe, you don't wait for some other guy to go talk to her first, do you?"

"I mean, I've never been to a party, so. . ." Said Miguel as he look at Johnny and Mariposa shook her head.

"Miguel, just say yes." Said Mariposa as she look at Miguel and then Johnny." For me, if I see a cute boy, I go for him before any girls gets to him."

"Good answer Mariposa." Said Johnny as he look at Mariposa.

"Thank you Sensei." Said Mariposa as she smiles.

"As for you. . . Big surprise, alright, look, striking first is about being aggressive, alright?" Said Johnny as he look at Miguel." If you're not aggressive, then you're being a pussy, and you don't wanna be a pussy, you wanna have balls!

"Don't you think you're doing a lot of genderizing?" Asked Miguel as he look at Johnny.

"What?" Asked Johnny as he look at Miguel.

"Oh, sorry, don't you think you're doing a lot of genderizing, sensei?" Asked Miguel and Mariposa giggled softly as she shook her head.

"No, what the hell are you talking about?" Said Johnny as he look confused.

"Oh, uh, our guidance counselor says that certain words can perpetuate the sexist world view that can trigger. . ." Said Miguel as she tried to

"QUIET!" Shout Johnny making Miguel and Mariposa flinch in shock." From now on, you won't listen to your guidance counselor, you're gonna listen to me! Is that understood?"

"Yes sensei." Said Mariposa and Miguel together.

"Good." Said Johnny as he look at the siblings." Now stop yapping like little girls and give me 50 push-ups on your knuckles."

"Yes sensei." Said Mariposa as she goes down on the floor to do push-ups.

"Uh, okay, yeah." Said Miguel as he goes down on the floor.

Then as the two siblings went down to the floor, Mariposa began to do some push-ups and have started with ten, while Miguel tried to do a push-up on his knuckles but was struggling and he fall on the ground.

"All right, just do some crunches." Said Johnny as he look at Miguel." Don't you have gym class or something, I mean look at your sister, she's already up to fifteen push-ups now."

"Yeah, but my sister sometimes dance, so she needs to exercise all day." Said Miguel as he flips over and do some crunches.

Johnny shook his head as Mariposa giggle at her brother as she was up to twenty-five push-ups, then they all hear the bell ring and saw a man in a business outfit coming in and Johnny looks at him.

"Howdy, there, Mr., uh, Lawrence?" Said the man as he look at Johnny.

"It's Sensei." Said Miguel as he correct him and doing some crutches.

"Miguel, shut up." Said Johnny as he goes to the man." What brings you in. . . Looking to lose that gut and learn how to kick some ass?"

"No, I'm from the city health department." Said the man as he look at Johnny and hands him a paper." This is a list of requirements needed to open up an exercise studio."

"This isn't an exercise studio." Said Johnny as he correct him." This is a karate dojo."

"Yeah, same deal. . . Wow, this place needs a lot of work. . . You're not open for business, are you?" Asked the man as he look at the two siblings." You two, are you guys customers here?"

"No, they are just illegals I picked up this morning." Said Johnny as he look at the two siblings." They're helping me set up."

"I don't need to know about all that." Said the man as he look at Johnny." My job is just to make sure this place is up to code, you don't want a scabies outbreak like that hot yoga place over on Tujunga."

"Wait, so I have to do all this crap before I even open?" Asked Johnny as he look at the paperwork.

"No, you need to do all that to get the certificate that's required to get the insurance you need to open." Said the man as he correct Johnny." But you knew that when you signed your lease, right?"

"Right, yeah." Said Johnny even thought he didn't know but act like he does.

"I'll drop in next week for another inspection." Said the man as he was about to leave till he saw the cobra painting." Huh, cool rattlesnake."

"It's a cobra." Said Johnny as he corrects him.

"Oh, right, duh, I'm such an idiot." Said the as he reads the words." Cobra "Kay."

Johnny rolled his eyes as the man have misread the sign and left, Mariposa have already finished her fifty push-ups while Miguel was up to thirty-five crunches, and Johnny took the paperwork to his office. After a few minutes later, Johnny ask Miguel to scrub the mats clean, while Mariposa organize the boxes, and he left to buy some beer in the mini-mart. Then he came back and saw the two siblings doing exactly he told them to as he carries some bags in his hand.

"Looking good." Said Johnny as he look at the siblings." Make sure you get both sides and make sure those boxes are put in the right place, and after you're done with that, you can take care of these exposed wires, that's going to be a lot of work."

"It's a lot of work when you don't do the work at all." Said Mariposa as she place down the boxes next to Miguel.

"Yeah, what does any of this have to do with karate, Sensei?" Asked Miguel as he keep scrubbing the mats.

"Do not question my methods." Said Johnny as he open up a bottle of beer." Just be thankful you're not a sumo wrestler, those guys have to wipe their Sensei's asses."

"Okay, that's so gross in so many levels sensei." Said Mariposa as she cringed in disgust.

"It's the truth Mariposa." Said Johnny as he look at Mariposa.

Mariposa shook her head in disgust as she place another box on the floor, then as Miguel got up, he and Mariposa saw some karate trophies inside the boxes and got really impressed. For one, they never knew that there are trophies for karate too, and second they never their new sensei is a Karate Champion.

"So, I, uh, see you were a karate champion, Sensei." Said Miguel as he look at the trophies.

"You don't have to call me "Sensei" every time." Said Johnny as he look at Miguel.

"I'm sorry, Sensei." Said Miguel as he realized his mistake." I, um, sorry, l'm sorry."

"Yeah, I won a couple All Valley tournaments." Said Johnny as he explains about the trophies." Didn't lose a single point my junior year."

"All right Johnny, I'm really impressed that you were a former Karate Champion." Said Mariposa as she smiles.

"What happened to your senior year?" Asked Miguel as he look at Johnny.

"This isn't 20 questions." Said Johnny as avoid that question." Get back to scrubbing."

"Okay." Said Miguel and Mariposa together.

Then just as Mariposa and Miguel were about to continue with their chores, Miguel's phone began to ring in an electronic pop music and Miguel had to answer it, while Johnny look around as he heard the music like he never heard it before.

"Where the hell is that garbage coming from?" Asked Johnny as he look around." You hear that?"

"It's Miguel's phone Johnny." Said Mariposa as she look at Johnny like he was crazy or something.

"That's me, sorry, yeah." Said Miguel as he answer his phone.

Miguel: Hey. . . Yeah, me and Mariposa are okay, debate is running a little late. Uh, okay. Love you too.

"Don't tell me you have a girlfriend." Said Johnny as he look at Miguel.

"That was our mom, actually." Said Miguel as he chuckle a bit." Um, I told her that me and Mariposa joined the debate team because she doesn't approve of violence, so. . ."

"Yeah, what about your dad?" Asked Johnny as he look at the two siblings." Is he okay with you getting your ass kicked up and down Reseda Boulevard?"

When Johnny asked Miguel and Mariposa that question, it cause Mariposa to get a bit upset of the mention of their father and Miguel saw Mariposa's upset look and hugs her for comfort and looks at Johnny.

"Oh, we never, uh, really knew our dad, so. . ." Said Miguel as he look upset.

Miguel and Mariposa never knows their father since they were growing up, all they knew from their mother is that after he found out that she's having two kids, he thinks that raising two children is like too much in his hand and left them, and of course their mother did everything she could to give them a happy life, and they adore her for that. Johnny look at Miguel and Mariposa and he feels bad for them as he understands what's it like to not know your father.

"All right, well, stop standing there." Said Johnny like he doesn't but shows it in his eyes." Get back to training."

"Okay, yeah, sorry." Said Miguel as he began to scrub the mats.

"Okay." Said Mariposa as she picks up the boxes.

"And change that ringtone." Said Johnny as he look at Miguel." Get some Guns N' Roses or something."

"What's Guns N' Roses?" Asked Miguel as he look at Johnny and Johnny look at Miguel in shock.

"Oh god, Mariposa please tell me you are smarter than that?!" Asked Johnny as he look at Mariposa.

"Don't worry Johnny, the first songs I heard from "Guns N' Roses" are "Welcome to the Jungle" and "Paradise City" when I went to a party of a friends house." Said Mariposa as she smiles." And they are kinda cool."

"Oh thank god, finally I met a kid who knows good music." Said Johnny as he sight in relief and looks at Miguel." Okay Diaz, I'm going to pretend you didn't say that, and you should learn somethings from your sister."

Mariposa giggle a bit as Miguel rolled his eyes as he continues to scrub the mats and Mariposa continues with the boxes. As the day went by, Johnny sent the Diaz siblings home since tomorrow is the first day of school, as they arrived home, they start to get everything ready for school tomorrow and then they both went to sleep.

The next morning, Mariposa and Miguel both got ready for their first day of school, they got their school stuff in their backpacks, and they both got dressed as they get ready. Mariposa is wearing a black long sleeve crop top, a blue plaid skirt, black knee socks with three white stripes on top, and black ankle boots.

Then after the two Diaz siblings got change and had their breakfast, their mother drive them to their new school knowing that she has a few more minutes till she had to go to the hospital. Then after three minutes later, they have arrived at "West Valley High School" and the two siblings saw many students going inside and look at their mother.

"A new life and a new school, right mama?" Asked Mariposa as she looks at her mother.

"I know you two are a bit nervous about starting a new school, but I'm sure that you guys will have a great time." Said Carmen as she smiles at her two kids.

"Okay mom." Said Miguel and Mariposa as they smile at their mother.

Then after they say goodbye to their mother, the two siblings left the car and as their mother drive to the hospital, they got their backpacks on their back and went inside the school. They saw many students talking to their friends or heading towards their classes. Then Miguel and Mariposa start to look at their classes to see where they go.

Miguel has Algebra I, AP History, Reading Class, Gym Class, English Class, then he has lunch, then he's got, Biology, Study Hall, and Spanish II. For Mariposa, she has Algebra I, Chemistry, Creative Writing, English Class, then she also has lunch, Astronomy, Study Hall, Painting Class, and Art History. They both realize that they have four classes together, much to their relieve, and then as the bell ring they went to their first class together.

As they arrived at their first class, it went pretty great and apparently they don't seem to see the boys that jump at them, which is good for them, and then after their first class, the bell ring meaning it's time for their next class, then they both went to their separate ways, but promise to sit with each other during lunch.

Then as Mariposa arrived at her Chemistry Class, she saw some students sitting in three at each table, at first she didn't know where to sit till she saw two girls sitting a bit far at the back, looking over their books.

The first girl has long brown curly hair with a gray fedora hat with gem studs around it, brown eyes, she wears a turquoise design dress with a black belt around her waist, a dark turquoise short sleeve crop cardigan, and black boots on.

The second girl has short brown hair, brown eyes cover with black glasses, she wears a pink shirt with the word "love" stitch on, a red plaid sleeveless flannel shirt on, blue jeans in, and black and white shoes on. And Mariposa goes to them and the two girls are shock and surprise to see Mariposa going to her.

"Hi, is it okay if I sit here?" Asked Mariposa as she smile gently.

"Oh, of course." Said the brown curly hair girl as she smiles and Mariposa starts to sit with them.

"My name is Mariposa Diaz." Said Mariposa as she introduced herself."

"That's a pretty name, my name is Lyla Brooks, and this is my cousin Aisha Robinson." Said Lyla as she introduced herself and her cousin.

"Thank you, and you guys have pretty names as well." Said Mariposa as she smiles.

"Thank you." Said Aisha as she smiles.

Then class have started as the teacher began to give the first lesson, Aisha, Lyra, and Mariposa seem to work really together as they seem to get a perfect grade at the first lesson they have done together, and Lyra look at Mariposa.

"Wow Mariposa, you're really smart!" Said Lyra as she smiles.

"Thank you, I really like science, it shows how we could work things with science." Said Mariposa as she smiles.

"We both love science too." Said Aisha as she smiles at Mariposa." Hey do you want to sit with us at lunch today?"

"I would love too, but I promise my brother that I would sit with today since it's our first day here." Said Mariposa as she smiles.

"Oh okay." Said Lyra as she and Aisha smile at Mariposa.

Mariposa, Lyra, and Aisha have all continued to do their class work, until the bell rang and they all went to their next class. Then after two classes later, it was lunch time and Mariposa starts to head towards the cafeteria to meet up with her brother. When Mariposa l arrived at the cafeteria, she look around to find her brother and saw Miguel at the line, and so she went to her brother.

"Hey Miguel." Said Mariposa as she smile at her brother.

"Hey sis, how's your classes going?" Asked Miguel as he smiles.

"They are great, I made two new friends, they ask if I could join them lunch, but I told them that I want to sit with you today, since I'm still getting use to this new school." Said Mariposa as she smiles.

"That's cool, let's get our lunches." Said Miguel as he smiles.

Then as Miguel and Mariposa both got their lunches, they both began to walk and look around to find a table to sit at, apparently they heard some voice coming from the vending machines, and they saw that it was none other than the boys that jump at them and assaulted them.

"Oh great, those assholes, and just as I hope that we might avoid them." Said Mariposa as she roll her eyes." So where do we sit?"

"How about that table?" Asked Miguel as he point at a table where two boys are sitting at.

Mariposa nodded her head as they both went to the table where the two boys are sitting alone having lunch together. The two boys look up to see Miguel and Mariposa coming towards them, one boy look really surprised and nervous as he tried to hide his scar from them, while the other look surprised to see them.

The nervous boy has Golden brown hair that sway to the left side, steel blue eyes, he also happen to have a scar on his lip, he wears a muted-colored baggy sweater over a dark blue t-shirt, dark blue jeans, and black and white shoes. The boys name is Eli Moskowitz.

The other boy has black hair the sway to the left side of his face, chocolate brown eyes, he wears a muted orange t-shirt that's underneath a unbutton shirt sleeve yellow flannel, tan pants on, and black shoes on. The boys name is Demetri.

"Is it cool if we sit here?" Asked Miguel as he look at the two boys while his sister stands next to him.

"Ooh, sorry, table is really blowing up right now." Said the boy being sarcastic." I can put you on the wait list, but it's probably next semester at the earliest."

Of course Miguel didn't understand that it was a joke, but Mariposa seem to understand that it was a joke and she smirk as she wants play along.

"Oh that's a shame, because I was really looking forward with you two cute ones, but if I have to wait next semester to sit with you and your adorable friend, then okay, let's go Miguel." Said Mariposa as she and Miguel were about to go somewhere.

"No, l'm kidding, you could sit with us, but please can referring to us as cute." Said Demetri as he smiles and blush a bit.

Then Miguel and Mariposa both start to sit down at the table, Mariposa sits next to the cute shy boy with the scar, which made him blush really red that she's sitting next to him, and Miguel sat next to his sister as he look at the two boys.

"My name is Miguel Diaz, and this is my little sister, Mariposa." Said Miguel as he introduced himself.

"The names Demetri, this is Eli." Said Demetri as he introduced himself and Eli.

Mariposa smile as she wave a bit at Eli as Miguel nodded his head saying hello to Eli, and Eli look at them with a shy look on his face when he saw Eli, but the moment Eli look at Mariposa, he blush at how beautiful she is and hid his scar from her and look away a bit, and Mariposa thought that Eli is cute.

"He's a man of few words." Said Demetri as he look at Eli." Especially around beautiful girls."

Mariposa smile at Eli and Eli smile a bit at her at how kind she is, as Mariposa eats her sandwich, Eli looks at her and admire at how beautiful she is, then a few seconds later, two beautiful rich girls walk past their table and Miguel look at them awestruck while Mariposa look at her brother and roll her eyes.

"Big bro, close your mouth, your kinda drooling and it's gross." Said Mariposa as she look at Miguel.

"Dude, don't torture yourself." Said Demetri as he agree with Mariposa." Those are the rich girls."

Mariposa look at the table with all the popular and pretty girls that have very expensive clothes and bags as they all laugh and talk to each other, and she could understand that they can also be mean. During her middle school years, she use to hangout with girls that are popular or rich or both, but apparently it always turns out bad and she never wanted to be popular, even though she pretty.

"Do you ever talk to them or. . .? Asked Miguel as he look at Demetri.

"Oh, yeah, all the time. We hang out after school. Make out, give each other hand jobs." Said Demetri while Miguel rolled his eyes knowing that it's not true and Mariposa giggled." Eli here is the homecoming king. Gets laid more than anyone. Isn't that right, Eli?"

Eli even smirk at what Demetri have said and Mariposa found it a bit funny as she giggle a bit and also found a bit disgusting and look at the Demetri with a smile on her face.

"Okay, first of all, that's kinda gross, and second of all, it's also a bit funny." Said Mariposa as she smiles and looks at Eli." By the way Eli, if your the Homecoming King, can I be your Homecoming Queen?"

When Mariposa asked that, it cause Eli to blush really red at what she said and smile at her a bit, and then Demetri decided to change the subject as he looks back at Miguel with a serious look.

"Talk to them?" Asked Demetri as he look at Miguel." You two realize what table you're sitting at, right?"

"The fun table?" Asked Mariposa as she look at Demetri.

"Wrong, you two pretty much signed away all hopes of losing your virginity before college." Said Demetri as he explains and Eli look at the popular girl table.

"Oh, shit, Yasmine's looking at us." Said Eli as he look away." Probably just making fun of me."

"I don't think she's making fun of you." Said Miguel as he tried to cheer up Eli." I mean, just because they're hot doesn't mean they're mean."

The way that Miguel have said that, Mariposa rolled her eyes and look at the popular and rich girls table and saw that they are laughing and making fun at Eli's direction, and Eli tried to hide his face, then she place her hand on Eli's hand causing him to look at her and blush, while Mariposa smile at him. Demetri saw the way Mariposa is helping Eli and feels something inside him that makes him feel admired and then looks at the popular table.

"I don't care if Yasmine is the meanest girl at school, I'd kill the two of you just to get her to spit in my face." Said Demetri as he look at Miguel and Eli, and looks at Mariposa." I wouldn't kill you Mariposa, because you are way to beautiful to be kill and I probably would rather kiss you to get Yasmine jealous."

When Demetri have said that, it got Mariposa to get shock at what he said, even Miguel and Eli were also shock that Demetri have said that, and Demetri realized what he had said and blush really red.

"Oh. . . I mean. . . What I mean to say is that. . ." Said Demetri as he tried to change what he said.

"That's okay Demetri, I get it, I'm the most prettiest girl on my family, and I wouldn't blame." Said Mariposa as she smiles." And to be honest, I would kiss you and Eli to get all these boys jealous of you."

That causes Demetri and Eli to blush really red at what Mariposa have said, hoping that maybe they could get kiss from her, and Miguel rolled his eyes at the way the two are looking at his baby sister and then looks at Demetri and talks.

"You know Demetri, if you don't make a move, you're never going to have a shot with Yasmine." Said Miguel as he look at Demetri.

"True, but l'll also never suffer a humiliating rejection, I'm at peace with my depression, last thing I need to be is suicidal." Said Demetri as he poke his food.

"That's kinda understandable." Said Mariposa as she looks at Demetri.

Miguel rolled his eyes and looks at the popular table to see a brown hair girl and flush a bit at how pretty she is, then he remembered the first lesson that Johnny told him and Mariposa, so he felt like that it's the perfect opportunity to strike first as he started to get up from the table.

"What are you doing?" Asked Demetri as he look at Miguel.

"Yeah big bro, what are you doing?" Asked Mariposa as she look at her big brother.

"Striking first." Said Miguel as he goes to the popular table.

"Oh this should be good." Said Mariposa as she roll her eyes.

"Oh, shit, I hope we don't get hit with the shrapnel." Said Demetri as he rolled his eyes.

Mariposa saw Miguel walking towards the girls table and hope that he'll be okay, at first it was going okay till apparently she saw the boys from the other came by to the table, and saw the one who try to harass her and got a bit scared. Mariposa saw the same boy who tried to sexually assault her and his a bit and Eli look at her and comfort her by holding her hand and saw smile at him. And Miguel came back to his table while the other boys laugh at him and he sit down.

"So how'd it go?" Asked Demetri as he look at Miguel.

Mariposa look at Demetri as if she wanted him to not insult her brother and Demetri stay quiet as Mariposa held her brothers hand for comfort and Miguel smile at his sister as she was kind enough to cheer him up.

"Hey Eli, can I ask you something?" Asked Mariposa as she look at Eli.

"Sure, what is it?" Asked Eli softly.

"So, this must be a weird question and I understand this is the first time someone ask you this. . . But, may I touch your scar?" Asked Mariposa as she looks at Eli.

When Mariposa asked that, it got Eli to get really shock, even Demetri was shock as well, through out his childhood, everyone always make fun of his lips and never wants to hangout with him, except for Demetri since they are best friends, but Mariposa is actually the first person who wants to touch his scar.

"You want to touch my scar?" Asked Eli in shock and Mariposa nodded her head." Um. . . Sure."

Then Mariposa trace her finger over Eli's scar and admire it as she smiles at Eli, and Eli blush really red at the touch of Mariposa's hands on his face as she gently touch his scar, Demetri starts to feel something inside him that makes him wish that Mariposa could touch him like that.

"So what classes do you guys have?" Asked Mariposa as she smiles.

"Well, I have Astronomy next." Said Eli as he explains.

"Hey, I have Astronomy next too." Said Mariposa as she smiles." Do you want to walk together to class, and maybe we could sit together."

When Mariposa have asked that to Eli, it cause Eli to get shock and blush really red that Mariposa wants to walk with him and sits next to him at class, then he smile shyly and nodded gently at her, and Mariposa smile at him. Then after lunch, the bell began to ring meaning that it's time for their next class and then Miguel, Mariposa, Demetri, and Eli throw away their lunches and walk out of the cafeteria.

"Well, ready to get to class Eli?" Asked Mariposa as she smiles at Eli.

"You really want to walk with me to class?" Asked Eli as he look at Mariposa.

"Of course." Said Mariposa as she smiles and looks at Miguel." I'll see you after school Miggy."

"Alright." Said Miguel as he smiles.

Then Mariposa starts to grab Eli's hand gently, causing Eli to blush really red, as they both start to go to their astronomy class, while Demetri and Miguel head to their biology class, as they walk to that class, Demetri look back and saw Mariposa and Eli walking together and couldn't help but blush at the sight of her and feel a strange feeling of how Mariposa and Eli are walking together.

Then as Mariposa and Eli arrived at their next class, they both found a desk with two empty chairs so they went there and sit next to each other, and then the teacher came in as she starts to introduce herself and start on the lesson.

"You know, I really like sitting with you Eli, maybe we can study together if we have any projects together." Whisper Mariposa as she smiles.

Eli look at Mariposa and blush a bit as he smiles at her and start to lesson to the lesson. Three days went by, Miguel and Mariposa were getting use to their new school, Mariposa became quick friends with Ashely and Aisha and sometimes sits with them at lunch.

She and Miguel even began to be best friends with Eli and Demetri, and sits with them at lunch too, of course sometimes Demetri and Eli want to sit next to Mariposa, so Mariposa sometimes sit between them. Their new school is not bad, but of course Miguel and Mariposa had to avoid Kyler and his goons.

Later that day, Mariposa and Miguel are both at the dojo with Johnny, and he's teaching the two siblings how to punch while demonstrating them with a dummy, and the two siblings watch as he punches.

"You can't strike first if you don't know how to strike, the cobra strike is composed of two parts. . . The lunge. . . Which requires the use of the whole body. . . And the bite, which is everything that happens after you make contact, all right?" Said Johnny as he explains while punching the dummy." You don't stop here where knuckle hits the bone, you punch through the bone, like the guy you really want to hit is standing behind this asshole, all right?"

Miguel and Mariposa nodded their head as they hear Johnny's lesson about punching, then he punch the dummy hard and fast, as he yelled loudly making Mariposa and Miguel flinch a bit, then he demonstrate different places to punch.

"All right. . . Strike here, you bloody his nose. . . Strike here, you break his teeth. . . Strike here, you could severely damage his trachea." Said Johnny and the two siblings look at him with wide eyes." Obviously, that's only for extreme situations. . . All right, Diaz line up, Mariposa, you go after your brother."

Then Miguel started to go in front of the punching dummy, while Mariposa stands behind Miguel, waiting for her turn to punch, and then Johnny looks at Miguel.

"Focus, I want you to practice." Said Johnny and then his phone began to ring.

"Hyah." Said Miguel as he punch at the dummy.

"Keep practicing." Said Johnny as he goes to his phone as it kept ringing." Punch through the dummy."

Then Johnny starts to answer his phone call while Miguel practice punching the dummy, Mariposa was watching her brother doing his punches, but somehow he was doing them softly and not what Johnny have taught him, and she laugh a bit.

"What are you doing Miguel?" Asked Mariposa as she giggle softly.

"Doing what sensei taught us." Said Miguel as he kept punching the dummy a bit weak.

"I don't think that's how he taught us." Said Mariposa as she giggle and then Johnny came back from his phone call.

"All right, no, no, no, no, no, you're doing it all wrong, what do you want, those kids at school to keep dumping shit on your head?" Asked Johnny as he looks at Miguel." You want all the girls to think you're a wangless dork, because you can stop your training right now and you can walk outside and let the whole world know you're a loser, or you can plant your feet, look your enemy in the eyes, and punch him in the face!"

The way Johnny yell cause Miguel and Mariposa to flinch a bit, but then Miguel start to realize that he needs to be tougher so he got into his fighting position.

"Picture your enemy." Said Johnny as he look at Miguel.

Then Miguel look at the dummy as he starts to picture his own enemy, and Mariposa saw that Miguel starts to get angry, realizing that he must be thinking about Kyler, as his fist were began to go harden.

"All right, you have a picture in your mind?" Asked Johnny and Miguel nodded." What are you going to do?"

"HYAH!" Shouted Miguel as he punch the dummy hard causing Mariposa to flinch a bit.

"Again!" Shout Johnny.

HYAH!" Shouted Miguel as he punch the dummy harder.

"Are you a loser?" Asked Johnny as he look at Miguel.

"No, Sensei!" Shouted Miguel as he kept punching the dummy.

"Again!" Shouted Johnny.

And Miguel kept punching the dummy repeatedly as he yell in anger as he keep picturing his enemy, and of course Mariposa felt a bit scared but calm down as Miguel have finished.

"Good jog Miguel, all right Mariposa, it's your turn." Said Johnny as he look at Mariposa.

Then Mariposa started to get really nervous as she realized that it was her turn, and she got worried that she might not be as good as her brother, but then she calm down as she got into her fighting position. Then as Johnny told her to punch the dummy, Mariposa punch the dummy hard, but not as hard as Miguel.

"Aw come on Mariposa, you call that a punch, do you really want those boys to assault you like what happen that might, is that who you want to be?" Asked Johnny as he look at Mariposa.

When Johnny have said that, all of a sudden, Mariposa started to feel o angry as she remembered the day those boys try to assault her and hurt her brother, that she tighten her fists and glared at the dummy with full anger.

"No Sensei!" Shouted Mariposa as she glare at the dummy.

"What are you going to do?" Asked Johnny as he look at Mariposa.

"HYAH!" Shouted Mariposa as she punch the dummy hard.

"Again!" Shout Johnny.

HYAH!" Shouted Mariposa as he punch the dummy harder.

"Are you weak?" Asked Johnny as he look at Mariposa.

"No, Sensei!" Shouted Mariposa as she punch the dummy harder.

"Again!" Shouted Johnny.

And Mariposa's kept punching the dummy repeatedly as she also yell in anger as she keep remembering that night those boys jump on her and her brother, and Mariposa have started to realize that she and Miguel are no longer weak.

Later that night, Mariposa and Miguel are both washing the windows, while Johnny is inside office working on the papers for the building, and of course Mariposa and Miguel were a bit annoyed about this.

"Hey, Sensei, is there any particular way you want me to wash these windows?" Asked Miguel as he look at Johnny.

"Yeah, cause to be honest, it's kinda taking a bit longer than expected." Said Mariposa as she look annoyed.

"No, I don't give a shit, whatever's easiest." Said Johnny as he look at the two siblings." You know what, go clean the toilet, and we'll call it a night. And do that one on your hands and knees."

"Okay." Said Miguel as he goes to the bathroom.

"Oh hell no Sensei, I'm not going into that bathroom!" Said Mariposa as she cringed in disgust.

"Oh come one Mariposa, it's not that bad." Said Johnny as he smirk.

"Oh please Johnny, I have a list about everything that's really giving me a pain, do you really want me to read it to you?" Asked Mariposa as she glared at Johnny.

"All right, here's a list of a few things that I need, please buy them." Said Johnny as he give Mariposa a list.

Mariposa grab the list and starts to going to the mini-mart, much to Miguel's disappointment that he gets the hardest job while his sister got the easiest job. Then Mariposa went next door to the mini-mart, then she starts buying the things that Johnny wanted her to buy in the list.

As she grab a few things, she start to feel like the whole karate thing might help her and her brother to defend themselves from bullies, but of course they worried about how they will tell their mother if she find out, and they will have to figure out how to explain it to her. Then as she got the items from the list, she pays for them and starts to head back to the dojo. And as she arrived, she notice another man inside the dojo and got confused as she enter.

"Hey Johnny, I got the things from the. . ." Said Mariposa as she look at Johnny.

But just as she was about to continue to talk, she saw another standing at the other side of the mat where it's close to the entrance/exit, and that man was none other than Daniel LaRusso.

"Oh sorry sensei, I didn't know you had company." Said Mariposa as she looks at Johnny.

"Sensei, I don't believe this. . ." Said Daniel as he was about to continue till Miguel came out of the bathroom.

"Bathroom's clean, is there anything else you need me to do?" Asked Miguel till he saw Daniel LaRusso." Oh, I'm sorry, Sensei, I. . ."

"Sensei. . . Really. . . Oh, my God, look you two, I don't know what he's told you guys, but you shouldn't believe a word this guy says, or you're going to end up exactly like him." Said Daniel which cause Mariposa and Miguel to get confused and Daniel look at Johnny." You and I. . . This. . . We aren't done."

"I'm right here, man." Said Johnny as he look at Daniel.

Then Daniel LaRusso starts to leave the dojo heading to his car, and Miguel and Mariposa were both a bit shock as Johnny glared a bit at Daniel as he leave, and Miguel looks at Johnny.

"l'm sorry if I interrupted anything, Sensei." Said Miguel as he look at Johnny." Should I do 20 push-ups on my knuckles?"

"Right, like you could." Said Johnny as he chuckled.

"Is everything okay Johnny?" Asked Mariposa as she look at a bit worried.

"Yeah, everything is fine, we should call it a night, you two better get home before you mom comes looking for you." Said Johnny as he look at the two siblings.

The two siblings nodded at Johnny as Mariposa gives Johnny the bags from the mini-mart and the two siblings start to grab their stuff as they start to head back home. As they walk back home, Mariposa couldn't help but wonder what wrong between Johnny and Daniel, and little did they know is that soon a war will began and will have to fight to end it.
