Kayla

I was sitting alone, mostly because of the vision that I've gotten recently. I really don't understand of how I got the Link Gate, that's what Drago describes of when he and Dan were battling a foe named Brodious, who was reborn into a villain named Meg Mel, wanted the Infinity Core to escape the alternative world of the Interspace and try to destroy Bakugan City.

When I heard it, I couldn't believe it with my own eyes.

I said, "You got to be kidding me. You don't think that Kali would do the same thing with Leonidas, since he has the Final Secret Orb, do ya?"

Drago was silent as if he doesn't want to bring any more bad news than it already has been since his partner got kidnapped by Makua.

 "Uh, I think it's best that I don't say anything else." The Bakugan said, as he leaves to find the rest of the Brawlers.

I decided to take a nap, to ease my mind from what has been happening recently, but what I didn't suspect that I would be visited by a familiar person that the Brawlers know.

"Kayla." The person said, as I turned around, to my surprise I ask, "I couldn't believe it.

Masquerade?"

He chuckles at me with a smile on his face, "Kayla, I know that you are experiencing something beyond your comfort zone." 

I scoffed at him, "What you expect? I know that I have to save the Bakugan and New Vestoria. I wish that there is more than saving the world from bad guys who are threating the game I love." 

"The more reason that you can't loose. You really have a Brawler's spirit, and you really have the same stubbornness as Dan has." Masquerade said in a wise way.

"Masquerade... I don't know if I can. " 

He touches me, "Kayla... you can do this. I know you." 

As I woke up, I yelled, "Masquerade!" 

Runo asks, "What happened, Kayla? Why you scream?"

I told the Brawlers about my meeting with Masquerade, and they were actually amazed with that he showed up in a dream.

"That's remarkable, Kayla. I never thought that Masquerade would ever come back." Marucho said, pulling up his glasses.

"You guys know who Masquerade really is?" Leonidas asks, with a curious expression on his face.

All the Brawlers seems to laugh at the Bakugan's question.

 "Come on, you guys, this isn't the time to be laughing at, with New Vestoria and Bakugan City is at stake here!" I said, putting my hands to the side.

Shun finally calms everyone down, as he clears his throat to speak.

"As a matter of fact, we do know who Masquerade actually is.

It's Alice."

Leonidas and I were in total shock of the revelation of who Masquerade actually is.

"You're kidding?!? Alice, one of the Bakugan Brawlers, is actually Masquerade? " I ask.

Marucho said, nodding at the confirmation, "Yes. Alice is Masquerade. It's her alias personality.

It's a long story." 

I said, "Understood." But I still can't shake this feeling of what Alice/Masquerade said about I have Dan's stubbornness.

I couldn't shake this feeling I've had since I bumped into Dan. Is there something that I haven't noticed?

That is when I had the craziest idea. I have to fight Makua and get Dan back using our link.

"Guys, I have an idea of how we can get Dan back.

I'm going to do the Link Gate and link with Makua." 

Everyone was silent for a bit, then said, "What?!?"

Leonidas

I couldn't believe her. She's willing to link with Makua to try to locate Dan? What in the world could she possibly thinking?

"Kayla, you are not going to go through with this, are you?" Shun ask, "It could be dangerous if you try to do the Link with Makua." 

Skyress said, "Shun is right, my dear. You are still a new member of the Bakugan Brawlers. It would lead you and Leonidas into a dangerous trap." 

Kayla said, "Dan is in danger because of me. It is my fault that he's in this mess in the first place, guys. 

I have to do this, so I can locate him and that way he would know that I'm not one of the bad guys who's trying to take over New Vestoria and the Bakugan . " 

I said, "Are you absolutely sure you want to do this, Kayla?"

She nods, "Yeah, and I need you, Leo. We can beat Vladimir and Makua if we put our minds to it." 

I chuckled, "Your mother was right after all. We can't change your mind." 

Tigerra said, "We will help anyway we can." 

Suddenly, wild Bakugan attacks the castle.

"Shun, we need you and Skyress here!" Fabia said, urgently.

Runo and Marucho nods in agreement, "We'll guard you while you and Leonidas fight with Makua and Vladimir." 

"Yeah, kick some butt for us, will ya?" Runo said.

Kayla begins to form a little smile , from the encouragement from our friends.

"Thanks, you guys. I knew that I can trust you guys with this idea." 

She closes her eyes to consternate herself to link .

As she opens her eyes, we weren't in Fabia's castle anymore, but a different dimension!

"Leonidas! Did we do it?" Kayla as she saw me in my big Bakugan form.

"You really have the nerve to fight , do you?" A familiar voice said as we saw Makua and his Bakugan .

"Makua! Vladimir!" Kayla exclaimed in anger, getting ready for battle them.

Jake

I was already in New Vestoria, and thanks to Alice's teleportation device, I will help the Brawlers anyway I can.

As I went inside, I see a blue Bakugan and a girl passed out, like she was asleep for some reason, protected by Marucho and Shun.

"Guys, what is going on?" I asked, which causes them to be in total shock to see me.

"Jake! What you doing here?" Shun asks as protecting himself with all his might.

"I'm here to help you guys. So, are going to let me stand here alone, or what?" I ask.

Marucho said, "Glad you're back. Do you want the long or the short version of what's been going on lately?"

"Short." I replied.

"Kayla is a Bawler who has a partner Bakugan who has an Orb like the most powerful than Drago, and trying to save New Vestoria from the Bakugan who is possessed by an evil person who is trying to destroy our lives." Marucho explains.

 I was stunned as I look at Kayla with amazement. 

"Oh." I all say.

"I know it's a risky move that Kayla opens herself with Makua like that. I hope she knows what she is doing." Shun said as he looks at her.

Kayla

I said, "Makua, you really have to answer me. Why you work for a creep like Kali? Why she has a grudge against Dan and the Brawlers?"

"She's my master. And Dan is her rival since he defeated Meg Mel, her brother." 

I was shocked of the revelation. 

"What? So, Kali is going to finish what her brother do last time? Forget it!" I said as I raise my Gullet that transform into a light saber sword and attack Makua head on.

As I fight, Leonidas also fights with Vladimir. 

"You think you can defeat Kali, as you don't know the truth about Dan?" Makua sneers.

I said, "What you mumbling about, Makua? Dan is my friend, and I am going to fix my mistake I've made of letting him be captured for your master's evil deeds." 

He chuckles, "You will see what my master has done to Dan. Besides, you have Darkness Light." 

I gasped, remembering the attack move that he had summoned during our battle.

"Darkness Light. Yeah I remember . You used that move to attack me. So Darkness Light... is my way to locate Dan, as he had been controlled by Darkness." 

Right then I realize the whole truth.

"You put Dan into a coma state because you injected him with Darkness!" 

Leonidas said, "They did what?"

"That's how I can go through our link isn't? You literally want me to fight Dan with his own Darkness. 

You guys are mean and cruel. Using one of my friends as they are a puppet to you and you don't care of the consequences you've caused to the Bakugan and everything around you." 

"Hmm, you figure it out in a short amount of time, haven't you? 

Yes, Kali is very smart just like her father, and you will be tested with gaining Dan's conious mind back to good." 

"You... Makua!" I yelled, as I got up as Leonidas said, "Kayla." 

I turn to the blue Bakugan and realizes that the Link was cut off!

"Oh, man! Dang, we were so close!" I said in anger as I saw Shun, Marucho and the Brawlers were in tough battle while I was battling with Makua.

"You guys looked horrible." I said, looking serious at my friends.

"Well, did it work out, ok? Did you find Makua and tell you how to find Dan?" Runo asks. 

How can I describe the things I've learnt from Makua , that Kali has injected Dan with his inner darkness and I have to do a Bakugan battle?

Leonidas notices how queasy I must be feeling, as he said to the others, "It did work, but I think Kayla and I need to go alone for the rest of the journey." 

"No way! I'm not going to let you guys have all the fun!" a boy said. 

"Jake, come on man. I know you want to go with Kayla, but what things would be dangerous beyond our standards?" Fabia said, "Maybe Kayla needs a companion to join her." 

Shun said, "I'll go. She needs a ninja by her side, and besides, she trusts me the most." 

I knew that Shun can be trusted with coming with me and Leonidas. He knows Dan better than any of the Brawlers because they were not just teammates, they were once childhood best friends.

I said, "Thanks, Shun. We leave tonight." 

I really hope that I can accept the challenge ahead... and it would harder than any Bakugan Brawl I'll ever faced in my life.
