Kayla

I was actually glad that I get to meet Spectra and Meera. It felt like a total relief that Dan and the Battle Brawlers have a lot of allies to help us in our quest of saving New Vestoria. 

I walk with Leonidas , then suddenly, I felt pain in my head. 

"Kayla!" The blue Bakugan exclaimed, who seemed worried about me.

Makua laughs, "You will be in Dark Dimension, Dan Cusco! " 

"No! You can't do that! Not if I can say anything about it, how about we do a brawl, Makua? You and me. 

An one-an-one battle. " 

Makua's voice stopped as Leo ask, "It's Makua , wasn't it? Is it about the Final Orb?"

I shook my head, "No, he wants to get my brother to the Doom Dimension." 

The blue Bakugan said, "You can't be serious! It sounds like a trap. Should we tell the Brawlers about this?"

I gave it a lot of thought. Would I tell them about what Makua wants? No, this battle has to be between us. 

That way, Dan would be safe. I almost lost Dan once to this creep, and I don't want Dan to suffer again. 

I turn to my partner, "No, we can't let Dan or the others know about our battle , Leonidas. This has to stop." 

The Bakugan sighs as if he knew that there is nothing to persuade my mind to stop me. 

I left the castle as I thought in my mind, "I'm so sorry, Dan, but I can't allow you to follow me this time. 

I almost lost you once, I'm not going to let you in trouble again. Do whatever you can to stop Kali from the inside." 

As I went to Makua's location thanks to the Link, I really hope that Dan wouldn't be too irate at me for doing this.

Dan

I sigh , I couldn't sleep. Drago asks, "You literally can't sleep , can you?" 

I sigh, "No, I can't. Drago, com'on, let's see if Kayla and Leonidas has ideas of how to stop Kali from controlling the wild Bakugan." 

Drago and I went to her room, hopefully that she would be around, but to my greatest discovery , she and Leo wasn't there. 

"Wait, where are they?" Drago asks. Then it struck me . 

My sister's going to a brawl match!

"Kayla." I said. 

I saw her with a Bakugan Gate seal. 

"Sis, wait!" I said, as I grabbed my own gate Seal to join in, but it was too late. 

"I hope that she's all right." Drago said, looking at where she was. 

Kayla

As I feared, I lost the match. In a new way, Makua has improved his skills as a Brawler , and he was able to combine his Bakugan with another one! 

How come Dan didn't bother to mentioned about that little detail?

As I was unconious, I hear someone say, "Hey, kid. Wake up!" I looked up to see a girl who has a Bakugan partner. 

"Ooh, my head." I grumbled, but then I turn to see Leonidas in his original form. 

"Awe, snap! Leonidas, what happened?" I ask my partner. 

Leonidas said, "Makua sent us to my home. The Doom Dimension as the match ended. This girl was the one who found us and we are in some sort of hideout." 

I turn to her, "Thank you for saving us. I'm Kayla Cusco." 

"I'm Anya, and this is my partner, Aqua. She's a darkness attribute Bakugan. Actually all of us have Darkness Attribute partner ." 

I turn to see other kids with their Bakugan. "You can call us the Dark Brawlers." Anya introduced the group. 

"Wait, you said, Cusco. Does this mean that Dan is your brother?" A boy demanded . 

"Uh, yeah. Dan is my older brother. Why you ask?" I asked. 

"Wow, I'm jelly. I'm Nick, and this is my partner, Capricorn. In some way, Dan inspired me to become a Dark Attribute Brawler. " 

I was amazed by my brother inspires people. I know he's worried about me. 

"Guys, I need your help. Kali and Makua, they're putting New Vestoria in terrible danger. " 

"Say no more. " Nick said, "We'll help you get back somehow. But first, we need to shut down one of the brainwash satellite they have here in Doom Dimension.  " 

"We knew that Kali would try to do something to New Vestoria. We been fighting against her Bakugan minions for a while." Anya explained. 

"Do you think that Kali put some in New Vestoria too? " Leonidas asked curiously. 

I replied, "If that's the case, we have to act fast or else Dan and the others would step into their trap." 

"So, how do we contact them? I mean, we're in the Doom Dimension, remember?" Anya asks. 

I turn to the Doom Dimension, "Honestly... I don't have the slightest idea. For now, let us help you get some of the satellite off." 

Anya smiles as she said, "Follow us." 

But as we did, a group of Bakugan has surrounded us! 

Anya said, "We have to Brawl to get out of here." 

"On it!" I said, as I yell, "Game card set! It's time to activate ability, two of them anyway . First lighting shield!" 

The Dark Brawlers were amazed of me. "Second Ability, Fire Strike Tornado! " 

Leonidas said, "Great job, there, partner! " 

I smirk, "Well, I owe it all to Dan. He's the one who taught me how to use a  Bakugan Gullet. " 

Suddenly , a bright light surrounds Leonidas , as Anya asks, "What's happening?" 

As the light disappears, it reveals that Leo had an evolution! 

"Leo, Awe snap, dude! You evolved!" I said, my eyes brighten with shock.

"He's Omega Leonidas now! Amazing! " Nick said. 

I grew with excitement , "Awe, this is too cool! Now, let's go!" 

Marucho

"What?!? Kayla had a brawl match with Makua on her own? Dan, you can't be serious!" I said , shocked about what Kayla had done. 

"Yeah, it doesn't seem like her to do something like that on her own, especially she has Leo as her partner who has the Final Orb." Keith said. 

Dan felt frustrated, "I should've stopped her, I mean, she's my sister and she's my responsibility. 

I should've been at her side." 

Runo said, "Hey, don't beat yourself up , Dan. I'm sure that Kayla would be just fine. She has Leonidas by her side after all. " 

Dan sighs, but Drago said, "We still have to stop Makua and Kali from bringing Brodious back to life. Not to mention that to free the other Bakugan that they brainwashed. " 

Dan was hesitant , since he was the leader of the Brawlers, he also just discover that he has a sister he barely know. 

"Drago is right. Kali has to be stopped by all cost. Still, I hope wherever Kayla is, I hope that she and Leo can come back to us safely. " I said, trying to make the situation more less depressing. 

Runo said, "Wait, how we going to help the brainwashed Bakugan anyway? We still don't know how or the cause of it. " 

Dan looks ahead as Shun touches his shoulder, "We can do this. Do it for your sister. " 

The way that Shun reassures him, it makes me wonder... does he has feelings for Kayla?

We left the palace , as we go to find the source of the brainwashing.
