Chapter Forty-Two

It took her a good few minutes to realize her eyes were open. Her vision was still so fuzzy that she couldn't tell if she was still dreaming or not.

Eventually, she managed to groan weakly, and when she did, she realized that somebody else was in the room with her, making their own sounds.

Bakugo was slumped over in one of her beanbag chairs, drooling, snoring for all he was worth. She felt her heart squeeze- how long had he been sitting there, watching over her?

Wait...why was she...?

All of a sudden, the memories of the day at the beach came flooding back to her, and she couldn't hold back a startled yelp.

In no time flat, Izuku was by her side, grabbing her hands soothingly.

"W-What's wrong?!" He whisper-yelled, seemingly not wanting to wake his husband who was still out cold. "What hurts?! Your palms?!"

She managed to shake her head weakly, and, after a minute, managed to speak up.

"N-No...I-I feel fine..." she choked out. "But what...what happened...?"

Izuku bit his lip and tried to suppress a grimace, but failed.

"You..." he started quietly. "Your temper...you lost control again. It was...it was really scary, Zoë. Do you remember it happening? When you...broke her nose?"

The girl's eyes widened, and she yanked her hands out of Izuku's firm grasp. She paled when she realized there were still spots of dried blood caked under her fingernails.

"What...what have I done...?" She whispered. "W-What about Yukino?! And Sakura?! What...what happened after I...?!"

"Shush..." Izuku whispered, pulling her into a gentle hug. "Panicking now isn't going to do you any good, alright? Momo took Yukino home safely, and Ochaco made sure Sakura knew exactly what happened. They both said that the girl got what she deserved, but clearly, they couldn't tell that to Asui."

He gave her a sad smile.

"Zoë...do you think you could tell me what happened?"

The girl hung her head, and tears started dripping down her face. Regardless, she nodded slowly.

"Y-Yeah..." she managed. "W-We...I can't remember who started it, but we were all p-playing Truth or Dare or something, and S-Shiroi m-made fun of me for b-being bi again, and then s-she claimed that I told her to k-kill..."

She shut her eyes tightly.

"To kill herself."

Just as Izuku was about to demonstrate taking a deep breath, Bakugo picked the perfect time to wake up.

"W-Whats goin' on?!" He screamed, jostling Ai, who was currently asleep on his lap. The baby burst out into tears and hobbled over to Izuku, his arms out, begging to be picked up. The greenette sighed but eventually complied, and Bakugo's face fell.

"D-Dammit!" He hissed. "What did I do this time?!"

He looked around the room to try to find something to smash, but slowly came to his senses when he realized that Zoe's eyes were shining with tears.

Maybe two hours later, things were finally starting to calm down.

Zoe had taken Izuku's advice and taken a hot shower, which helped reduce the puffiness of her eyes.

Bakugo had made them all a nice dinner, and he was currently washing dishes with his husband while Zoë and Ai sat at the kitchen table. She was teaching him how to draw, which he seemed greatly interested in. His little eyes were shining, which made her giggle every time she looked up at him.

"I still can't believe what that crazy bitch said," Bakugo hissed, scrubbing one of their plates a little too aggressively. "How dare she?! After all the SHIT she's out Zo through..."

"Crazy...crazy bitch!!"

The whole kitchen went silent. Izuku dropped the tag he was holding and Zoe's pen rolled off the table.

There was Ai, clapping his stubby little hands, a big grin on his face.

"Crazy bitch!" He repeated, only laughing harder. Izuku closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He slowly turned towards the blonde, who's face was pale. He knew he was in trouble now.

"Katsuki..." Izuku hissed. "Our son...thanks to you, our ONE YEAR OLD SON JUST SAID-"

"Crazy bitch!" Ai laughed, nearly falling off of the chair he was sitting on. Izuku whipped around to face him, close to tears.

"N-No, don't say it again!" He wailed. He realized that Bakugo and Zoë were both holding back laughter, he smacked his husband on the shoulder with his dish towel.

"What...WHAT IS WRING WITH YOU?!" He screamed, activating One For All without noticing it. Bakugo couldn't hold back his wide grin any longer, and he burst out laughing.

"Oh...oh my..." he wheezed. "Oh my GOD, this little shit just said-"

He was cut off by Izuku kicking him in the shin, which shut him up pretty quickly.

"That's it! That's IT!" Izuku yelled, untying his apron and slamming it down onto the counter. "Why do I even BOTHER?!"

"Say it again!" Bakugo wheezed, holding up his phone. "S-Shitty Hair...he's gonna die...!"

Before he realized what was going on, Izuku had snatched his phone out of his hands and slammed it into the sink that was full of soapy water and dinner leftovers, effectively snapping it in half with his unchecked strength.

"W-What did you..." Bakugo managed. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR, 'ZUKU?!"

"OH FUCK OFF, KATSUKI!" He screamed, stomping out of the room. "HE SAYS THAT ONE MORE TIME, AND I SWEAR TO GID,
I'LL-"

"Fuck off!"

Ai had done it again.

AN: The worst author you've ever seen is back, lmao!

Hey guys!! It's been WAY too long, which is, as usual, my own damn fault. I know it won't make up for THREE MONTHS of no updates, but I hope this silly chapter made you smile, even if only a little bit!

I want you guys to know that, I kid you not, I read every single one of my notifications every day, and I try to respond to all of the comments I get- even if I'm not updating, I'm still interacting with you guys as much as I can!!

School has been BRUTAL and my social life hasn't been super stable, and I had little to no motivation to write, which was really sad, because it's something I usually really enjoy doing.

I know that I tend to disappear a lot, but I want you guys to know that I won't be leaving Wattpad anytime soon- I'm just so incredibly grateful for all the support you guys give me every day- I know it's shocking, but I'm an outcast in school, and I don't have many friends IRL, so it makes me so, so happy that you guys don't judge me for being...well...me.

Sorry for the long rant- I just missed being able to express myself and actually have people listen, I guess.

Anyways, I'll try to update more regularly. I'll try to update the Iidachako version next, and then maybe one of my AOT stories after that, so stay tuned!

As usual, I love you guys. Stay safe, okay?
