Miyoung POV

“Where are you going?” Sunhwa asked.

“Just to the convenience store to grab a snack” I replied.

“Want us to come with you?”

Why does she always ask that? We are only two years apart in age, yet she always treats me like a little girl who needs protection. “No, I’ll be fine Unnie. It’s not that far.”

“You think you will be able to make it through the crowd of suitors?”

I looked out the window and giggled. “I can’t believe that they are still doing that!”

“Every morning” Sunhwa commented. “You sure you don’t want us to come?”

I giggled again. “No, I’ll be fine. They all know the rules and I doubt any of them have forgotten what happened the last time they tried to break them.”

Sunhwa laughed “True. Don’t take too long, your father is supposed to be coming home today.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll make it quick.” I gave her a smile and then walked through the gates.

“Miyoung, please marry me!” one guy asked as he held out flowers.

“No, marry me!” another guy said as he kicked over the first guy.

“Guys!” I screamed over the crowd. “You all know the rules! If you want to marry me, then you have to defeat me first.” I looked down at the guys who had proposed and asked them “Now, are you asking me for a duel?”

Both of them shook their head as they said “NO!”

“Then I suggest you all go home” I smiled at them and they all shuffled away in disappointment. After they had all dispersed, I walked a few blocks to the convenience store to get my snack. I knew I wanted some bread, but I couldn’t decide on what filling I wanted. After debating for some time, I finally decided on the sweet potato filled one. Thankfully they still had one left. Just as I reached out to get it, some guy walked over and took it. “Hey! That’s mine!” I screamed at him as I tried to grab it.

“Sorry, but first come first served” he said as he held the bread just out of my reach.

I pretended to reach up and grab it, but punched him in the stomach instead. That will show him, I giggled to myself.

“Zelo! Let’s go, the guys are waiting for us!”

“Okay, Himchan Hyung!” a tall, thin guy with pink hair said as he ran over with a bunch of drinks.

I was shocked, he didn’t even flinch. He walked over to the register with the tall guy in tow, paid for their stuff and left. “Guess I’ll have to settle for the red bean paste one” I mumbled to myself as I grabbed one from the shelf. “I really wanted that sweet potato filled one, but I have to admit that the red bean paste one is my favorite” I giggled to myself as I was walking home.

I happen to look down one of the alleys as I was walking and saw the two guys from the convenience store fighting with one of the local gangs. I think they are called Boyfriend. It was just the two guys from the convenience store against the five guys in the gang, but they were holding their own against them. “I guess they know how to fight.”

The fight was pretty evenly matched considering they were outnumbered. Then one of those stupid Boyfriend guys picked up a pipe and struck my bread snatcher across the back. “Oh, Hell No!” I screamed as I threw the bread I was eating to the ground and ran over. I grabbed the pipe out of his hand and punched him in the face, knocking him flat on his back. Then I spun around and kicked the two guys that looked alike out of the way.

Himchan POV

The guys told Zelo and me to go and get snacks and drinks at the convenience store. “And don’t forget my sweet potato bread!” Yongguk yelled as we were heading out. Why doesn’t he just go and get it himself?

We got to the store and Zelo ran to grab the drinks while I grabbed the snacks. When I got to the bread aisle, there was this girl just staring at the shelf. I noticed that there was only one sweet potato bread left, so I quickly grabbed it before it was too late.

“Hey! That’s mine!” she yelled at me.

“Sorry, but first come first served” I replied with a cocky smile as I held the bread just out of her reach. She was really cute as she tried to grab it out of my hands. Then I felt something hit my stomach. She must have accidentally bumped into me. Although it does hurt a bit much for just that. Whatever, where did Zelo go? “Zelo! Let’s go, the guys are waiting for us!”

“Okay, Himchan Hyung!” he replied as he came bouncing over with the drinks. We went to the register, paid and then left. Too bad we had to get back to the hang out; otherwise I would have asked for her number. She really was cute.

While we were walking, some guys that were obviously looking for a fight approached us. “We need to talk” the leader of their group said.

“Okay, but make it quick” I said as we walked with them down one of the alleys. Next thing I knew they were throwing punches. I knew they just wanted to fight. Good thing our gang is the best when it comes to fighting. Zelo and I were doing pretty well even though my stomach was starting to bother me. Then one of the guys grabbed a pipe and hit me in the back causing me to fall to my knees.

Suddenly I heard someone scream “Oh, Hell No!” I turned and saw the girl from the convenience store running towards us. She grabbed the pipe out of the guy’s hands and then punched him in the face, causing him to fall flat on his back. Then she spun around and kicked two of the other guys out of the way.

“Whoa!” Zelo stared at her in awe. “You’re really cool Noona!”

I couldn’t help but stare at her as well. She was an amazing fighter. “Stop staring and start fighting!” she yelled at us. I smiled as I got up and started throwing punches. We had managed to back them into a corner, when I heard a thud. I turned and saw another guy with the pipe in his hand as the girl fell to the ground.

“Minwoo!” the guys who attacked us called out to him. I’m going to remember that name, because he is dead the next time I get my hands on him. No one attacks a girl like that!

“What are you guys doing?” he screamed at the guys who attacked us. “I thought you said that you could handle this?”

“We were doing fine, until that girl interfered.”

“Youngmin, are you saying that you couldn’t handle a girl?”

“I’m Youngmin, he’s Kwangmin” a different guy replied and I couldn’t help but giggle to myself. I can’t believe he doesn’t even know his own members.

“Whatever! Just grab the guys and let’s go!”

“What about her?” a guy that looks older than the rest asked. At least one of them has some manners.

“We can’t just leave her here” another guy piped up. Okay, maybe these guys could be descent when they aren’t fighting.

“Fine! Grab her too!”

The six guys then grabbed us and dragged us away. I kept my eye on them to make sure they were handling the girl properly. I still can’t believe that she jumped in to help us.
