"AH-" Mao Mao screamed as he rushed into the room to get dressed.
He slammed the door shut as it followed with a loud,
"BANG!"
He scrambled around, collectively grabbing his tuxedo, bow tie, and shoes. He began pushing other animals and sweetie pies out of his way in a panic.
"GAH! MOVE IT!" Mao Mao went to the corner of the medium sized room. He ran behind a dark purple curtain to get changed. He swiftly slipped off his other items he had on. Mao Mao threw on his white tuxedo, with his white and black dress shoes, and a black bow tie.
"DOES THIS LOOK GOOD, Y'ALL?" Mao Mao anxiously screamed out for everyone in the room's opinion, as he dashed out from the left corner, to the other side of the room to look in the mirrors. The mirrors circled around in front of him. There was only one little opening area, where he entered, to step on the wooden pedestal.
Awes came from the sweetie pies and a few others as they looked at Mao Mao.
"Pft- what am I talking about? Of course I look good~" Mao Mao confidently bragged to himself, as he winked in the mirror and snapped his fingers.
"Hey, sheriff! We need to fix your fur up a bit! Please come sit in this chair!" One of the little sweetie pies instructed the black cat to come in their direction.
"Of course!" Mao Mao chimed, taking a break from flexing the little muscles he had in his reflection. He hopped off the platform and landed on the hard, concrete flooring. Mao Mao ran over to the chair and sat on back. He looked at himself in the larger mirror of the vanity in front of him. He practiced a few smiling techniques to himself, while the villager worked on straightening his midnight-black fur.

While Mao Mao was still getting ready, Badgerclops was all done getting dressed in his dressing room. He had on his light grey tuxedo, followed by a black bow tie. He had his fur combed and teeth brushed. He happily looked at himself in the mirror.
"Looking good!" A sweetie pie complimented Badgerclops from across the room. The others looked in his direction and gave bright grins. These gestures made Badgerclops give a small grin to himself
'Hm... Maybe I really DO look pretty good, hehehe-' He thought as he giggled.

Back in Mao Mao's changing room,  the sweetie pies had just finished combing his fur.
"All done!" The sweetie pies exclaimed, backing up to give Mao Mao some space.
"Heheh, looking good!" Mao Mao pridefully told himself.
A small, feline-looking, pastel, mint green sweetie pie swung the dressing room door open.
"Mao Mao! The ceremony is about to begin! We need you down at the arch!" The little one frantically called out with sweat running down her face. Mao Mao's face went from shining pride, to obvious fear. He didn't know what to say as he slowly got up from the cushioned chair he was sitting. He was completely frozen.
"Hurry up! Badgerclops is ready to be walked!" The sweetie pie yelled as she ran off in the direction of the event.
     'You got this-'
Mao Mao did his best to calm himself down as he took a few deep breaths. He fully composed his self. Mao Mao grabbed his black, matching gloves to cover up, then dashed out of the room and down the long, narrow hallway. When he got to the end, he caught up with the light green sweetie pie.
"Okie dokie! Ya ready, Sheriff Mao?" She looked up and gleefully asked him.
Mao Mao looked down at the little citizen, then back up and through the door's little window. He watched everyone taking their seats from a far.
     "Yes," Mao Mao anxiously sighed.
They turned the knob on the olden, wooden door. She motioned Mao Mao to walk on down the aisle as he stepped off the small set of stairs. The black cat's eyes followed the white aisle-rug's path. He gave a deep breath. The cat began to walk, stepping onto the soft material, placed over the hard concrete sidewalk. His shoes clicked with each step he took.
"Click, click," You could hear the faint ticking from across the way. Everyone got silent as he got closer to them and the arc. The crowd's eyes darted in his direction. They followed his every movement. Everyone stared him down, making the tension feel even worse for him. Mao Mao finally made his way up to the podium and nervously smiled at the mob of attendees. Others smiled back at him, then continued to talk.

The whole crowd had gone silent. Music... They heard THE music begin playing. "Here Comes the Bride" was being played amazingly on the piano, as people turned around to see behind, with looks of excitement on their faces. They watched as Adorabat and Ketchup threw around white flower petals on the ground near them. Adorabat was wearing a light pink, puffy dress. There were white ruffles on the inside. She topped her look off with an adorable, big, matching-colored bow on the top of her head. Ketchup followed, wearing a white, tight-fitting dress. Behind the two of them was Blue, holding the two men's rings. The three of them made their way in front of the crowd, as they stood on opposite sides of the arch. From down the way, followed Badgerclops. He gave a smile to the crowd as he slowly walked by, then smirking over at Mao Mao. Mao Mao's bright green eyes glistened at Badgerclops, because of the mix of his partner's beauty and the bright, white, shining fairy lights being strung from above everyone's heads. Mao Mao watched his lover's every step in awe. Badgerclops finally stepped onto the podium, and happily faced his about-to-be husband.
Everyone turned to look in front of them. They smiled seeing the sight of the two men looking at each other with adoring expressions on both of the animal's faces.
You could see the gorgeous, evening sky behind the arc. The sky was painted with dark shades of purple, pink, and orange. The sun was slowly going to sleep on the opposite side, as you could see the moon awakening behind the men on the podium. Fairy lights gleamed from above, hanging on multiple pillars from around the area. Equal set of foldable chairs were set on each side of the white rug, that lead to the arch. They were set in a beautiful, light-colored field in Pure Heart Valley. They were sat in light green grass, with pastel, bloomed flowers covering the perimeter. There was a sparkly-clean, white piano sitting to the near right of the arch. The mentioned arc was covered with light green leaves and beautiful, white flowers. The two men getting married happily stood beneath this, on their wide, wooden stand.
The music came to a stop. Silence filled the air. All you could hear were the little breezes being drifted around to each creature. The badger and cat stood in front of each other. The both of them nervously grinned at one another. Mao Mao cut the awkward gaze and slowly turned his head to the side to look at the crowd. He looked at two empty seats in the front row, right in front of him. He looked at the signs he had written on, that were stationed on the vary chairs.
They read, 'Reserved', but they're empty.
'My dad nor mom came to this. The biggest event of my life. I invited them, but they didn't care enough-' Mao Mao began to wallow in self-pity to himself. He slowly looked down and away, with a long expression coming up on his face. The worried badger looked at him a bit confused.
"Welcome all Pure Heart citizens AND visitors, to our two finest sheriffs' wedding ceremony!" The sweetie pie pastor exclaimed, throwing his hands enthusiastically up into the air. The crowd of others clapped then grew silent again as the pastor began to ramble on about the ceremony.
Badgerclops grabbed Mao Mao's gloved paws and looked at him lovingly.
"Dude, what's wrong?" The bigger man whispered to the cat.
Mao Mao panned his lime eyes to the vacant seats right next to them. Badgerclops's eye followed with his.
"Oh," Badgerclops sadly sighed, quickly gaining back his focus on his love.
"It's okay, Mao Mao," He gripped onto Mao Mao's paws tighter, "Just because your parents didn't show up, doesn't mean hundreds of others don't care about you! My mom didn't show up!" The badger's eyes drifted over to the third seat next to what was supposed to be Mao Mao's mom's seat. Mao Mao looked with him at the empty spaces, then met their eyes with each other again.
"You don't need a bunch of people here to know you're loved. Adorabat is here, the Pure Heart citizens, the king... Hey! My dad is even here! He cares about you, dude!" Badgerclops continued his sweet whispers, "Plus, you of course have me! The man you're marrying. I'm always here for you. You're the most important person to me!" He gushed at Mao Mao, still holding his covered paws. Mao Mao blissfully stared up at him in amazement. Before they could say anything else, the pastor interrupted.
"So, Badgerclops! Do you take Mao Mao, to be your husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do you part?"
Badgerclops suddenly glanced at the pastor, then back at the small, black, cat.
"I do." Badgerclops merrily stated, smiling into Mao Mao's glowing face.
"Do you, Mao Mao, take-" The little pastor repeated the same question. Mao Mao gazed into the man he love's eye.
"I do!" Mao Mao exclaimed for the whole crowd to hear.
The pastor motioned Blue to come up onto the podium and to hand each man their ring. They both slipped their rings onto each other's fingers, then joined hands yet again.
"Excellent! I now pronounce you husband and husband. You may now kiss the groom!" The pastor happily yelled out, throwing his hand up in the air from excitement.
Badgerclops let go of Mao Mao's hands and grabbed him by the shoulders. He threw one of his arms behind the darkened cat's back and leaned him backwards. Badgerclops put his other hand behind Mao Mao's head, pushing him into a deep, passionate kiss. Mao Mao melted into his love's touch, as he wrapped his arms around the larger animal. The attendees cheered and clapped with joy, seeing the two men the happiest they've ever seen them. Smiling faces beamed across the field.
The two split apart, Mao Mao still leaning back in his now-husband's big arms. He smiled through his tired pants, as Badgerclops gave the same smirk back to him.
"I present to you the newly married couple, Badgerclops and Mao Mao!" The sweetie pie smiled as everyone continued to adore the sweet couple. The two men grabbed each other's hands, then pulled one another closer. Mao Mao nuzzled his head into the badger's soft, plump, stomach. Mao Mao gave a cheerful twinkle, with his, shiny, sharp, white teeth. The two stood there surrounded by love and happiness. They had people supporting them, but most importantly... They had each other.
