Cedric

"Who is Sora?" I asked as we got off the Thestral.

Mora had landed us in a pine forest, with ferns and mushrooms everywhere.

"Sora, is...my old friend...in a way." She answered as the Thestral flew off.

Her long purple hair blew slightly in the breeze, and her eyes reflected a teal blue when the light hit them. I blushed lightly, hoping she couldn't see my red face. But as she turned towards me, I managed to keep my blush hidden.

"Why is she not with the other creatures? I asked, looking around us.

"For her protection." Mora answered, and then she whistled.

For a long moment, not a sound was heard through the entire forest.

And I heard it.

The ferns in front of us started to ruffle slightly, but Mora chuckled.

"Sora, this is Cedric. He is a friend." She said into the ferns, and then it slowly walked out.

A small black creature with sturdy legs walked over to me. It had a long body and a tail that brushed softly against the ground. And huge purple eyes that looked directly at my own.

A dragon.

"Cedric, this is Sora." Mora said, sitting down on the grass next to Sora.

"What breed of dragon is she?" I asked, not being able to figure it out for myself.

"All of them." She answered, petting the black scales on Sora.

"How is that possible?" I asked, sitting in front of them.

"She is what our ancestors call, a Black Meta dragon. She can take the form of any dragon, any size." Mora said.

"But why is she so small?" I asked as Sora started rolling around in the grass.

"This is her original form, since she hatched." She answered, taking out her wand and summoning a toy.

"Why haven't I ever heard of her?" I asked, rubbing Sora's black belly.

"Because according to the world, her kind went extinct not long after they were discovered.

"Thousands of years ago, a muggle dug deep into the earth. But when he preached the crust, what he found was impending doom. But a Black Meta saved him.

"Well, word got around, and stories spred. Bad stories that said Black Meta's were killers. So the muggles hunted them all before any wizards could get involved.

"What once was the largest dragon species, became a group of nine-teen spread out across the world. Now, only seven exist, and are only found under the earth's crust." Mora monalouged, making me smile.

"What?" She asked me when she got me looking at her.

"You've never talked this much." I chuckled, making her go red.

"Yes I have!" Mora said defensively, hitting my arm playfully.

"No you haven't! Remember when we met last year?"

Third Pov

"Um, you're not supposed to be out here." Mora said, coming up behind Cedric in the courtyard.

But when he turned around, her face went red quickly.

"Oh, sorry. Didn't mean to be out here past curfew." Cedric said, but when he met Mora's eyes, he blushed.

"Are you the Ravenclaw Prefect?" He asked as he spotted the badge on her school robe.

Mora nodded, grateful it was dark so Cedric couldn't see her blush.

"I was a prefect last year. Wasn't much fun though." He said, making her roll her eyes.

"Do you want to sit down?" Cedric asked as he sat on the fountain ledge.

For a moment, Mora stood there, but sighed as she sat down.

"Aren't you going to say something?" Cedric asked a few minutes later as she stared at the stars.

She looked at him puzzledly, then sighed again.

"We really shouldn't be out here with Sirius Black on the loose." Mora said quietly, standing up.

"Alright, fine. Can you at least tell me your name?" Cedric asked as he stood up.

"Mora Kensen." She answered, staring at the fountain.

"I'm Cedric Diggory. It was nice meeting you, Mora. I guess I'll see you around." He said, then left the courtyard.

Both Mora and Cedric went to sleep that night hoping they would run into each other again soon.

"Alright, fine, so I don't talk a lot." Mora admitted, sighing.

"Mora, I've been around you a lot since we met. Never once have you ever talked this much to anyone you're normally around." I told her, causing her to sigh.

"It's just that...I don't have a lot of friends. And almost all of them don't...understand me." Mora said, scratching Sora's back.

"What changed that made you, well, basically show me all this?" I asked, gesturing around me.

She looked me right in the eyes, and smiled sweetly.

"Of all my friends, you and the Weasley are the only ones who stuck around to really try to understand me." Mora admitted, then added cheekily "That and your lack of knowledge of magical creatures is pretty disturbing."

Did she really just say all that?! To me?! I knew my face was at least a little red right now.

"Now, to do what we came here to do. Grab a notebook, Ced. We're going to study the different dragon breeds."
