Together we are strong

The roar of explosions, the crackle of gunfire, the heat of battle—it was all coming to a head. We stood at the edge of the crumbling house, the client's men forming a tightening circle around us....everything just went that quickly and one thing lead to the other that we got surrounded. Tomura stood at the center, his icy stare locking onto us as if he knew this was the moment he had been waiting for.

Next to me, Kacchan's palms sparked with fury, tiny explosions lighting up the dim space like firecrackers. His breath was ragged, his teeth gritted as he prepared for the inevitable showdown. We'd been running, fighting, and dodging long enough. This was it.

Kacchan: Tch, there's too many of 'em.

Me: I know.

I crouched low, scanning the warehouse. It was falling apart, rusted beams hanging precariously from the ceiling, crates and debris scattered everywhere. But that gave us an edge. At least, it gave me an edge.

Kacchan: Deku, we don't have time to—

Me: Listen.

My voice came out more focused than it had been all night. My mind was racing, analyzing everything in real-time. I could see it—the way the men moved, the weaknesses in their formation, the openings we could exploit.

Me: You need to trust me.

Kacchan shot me a look, surprised by my sudden determination, but he didn't argue.

Me: Take out the ones on the left. I'll handle the right. Use your quirk to block their escape. They'll try to corner us, but if we can break their line, we'll have a chance.

Kacchan: Don't order me around, Deku.

His growl didn't carry the usual venom, though, and I knew he was already on board.

We didn't wait for the first move. Kacchan charged forward, explosions propelling him straight toward the group on the left. His body moved like a human grenade, sending several men flying back with the sheer force of his quirk.

Meanwhile, I sprinted toward the right, my feet light and agile as I vaulted over a pile of crates. My instincts kicked in—years of running, years of parkour. I could feel the eyes of the men on me, hear the click of guns as they took aim, but I was faster. Always faster.

A bullet whizzed past my ear, but I didn't flinch. Instead, I grabbed a metal beam overhead, swinging my body up and over it, using the momentum to land directly behind one of the gunmen. Before he could react, I knocked the gun out of his hand with a swift kick, sending him sprawling to the ground.

Me: One down.

I glanced back at Kacchan. He was a blur of motion, his explosions creating a wall of fire that kept the men from advancing. But they were adapting, regrouping, trying to flank him. He was strong, no doubt about that, but he couldn't fight them all off alone.

He doesn't need to.

I made a split-second decision, darting toward him just as one of the gunmen aimed for his back. My body moved faster than my thoughts, and before I knew it, I had launched myself at Kacchan, knocking him out of the way as the bullet zipped past us both.

Kacchan: What the hell, Deku?!

He stumbled to his feet, glaring at me, but there was no real anger in his voice—just confusion.

Me: You're welcome.

I shot back, already moving again.

Me: Watch the flank. They're regrouping.

Kacchan grumbled under his breath, but I saw the slight twitch of a smile on his face. He knew I'd just saved him. Again.

The battle raged on, chaotic and brutal. Kacchan's explosions lit up the warehouse, sending shockwaves through the metal beams and scattering the client's men like rag dolls. I kept moving, dodging and weaving through the wreckage, my mind working faster than my body as I analyzed the best way to break their lines.

Me: Kacchan! Take out the support beams!

Kacchan: What?

Me: The beams! If you take them out, the roof will collapse on the west side. We can cut them off!

Kacchan didn't question me this time. He narrowed his eyes, locked onto the beams, and launched himself into the air. His hands sparked with energy, and in a deafening blast, the beams exploded into dust. The roof groaned, metal screeching as the west side of the warehouse collapsed, cutting off half of Tomura's men.

Kacchan: Nice one, Deku.

He smirked, landing back beside me as the dust settled.

Kacchan: Now it's just the main event.

I could feel my heart pounding, but it wasn't from fear. It was from the adrenaline, from the thrill of knowing we were almost there. We could win this.

Tomura stepped forward, his presence commanding as the rest of his men scattered. His cold eyes fixed on me, and for a moment, I froze. There was something terrifying about him—something beyond just his power. But I couldn't back down. Not now.

Tomura: Looks like you're in deep—both of you.

Kacchan's hands sparked again, but I placed a hand on his arm, stopping him.

Me: Wait. He's baiting you.

Kacchan scowled but held back.

Tomura's gaze flickered between us, a cruel smile playing on his lips.

Tomura: You think you've won, don't you? But you're just as trapped as the rest of them.

I wasn't listening. My focus was entirely on the surroundings—the shifting weight of the ceiling, the cracks in the foundation, the way the remaining men were positioning themselves. There was a pattern to it, a rhythm, and I could see it.

Me: Kacchan, aim for the floor.

Kacchan: What?

Me: Right under him. His men are set up in a defensive formation. If you blast it, we can take them all out at once.

Kacchan's eyes widened for a split second, surprised that I'd caught on so quickly. But then, his expression hardened with determination.

Kacchan: On it.

In one swift motion, Kacchan blasted the ground beneath Tomura. The force of the explosion shattered the floor, sending shockwaves through the warehouse. The men surrounding Tomura stumbled, their formation breaking apart as the ground collapsed beneath them.

Tomura let out a snarl of rage, but it was too late. Kacchan was already charging forward, explosions propelling him toward the enemy leader.

I followed close behind, my body moving on instinct as I dodged falling debris and leapt over gaps in the floor. We were a whirlwind of motion—Kacchan with his raw power, and me with my speed and agility.

Kacchan's fist connected with Tomura's face in a devastating blow, sending him crashing into the rubble. The rest of the men scattered, their will to fight completely shattered.

For a moment, everything was still. The dust settled, and the noise faded into a deafening silence.

We had won.

Kacchan stood over Tomura's unconscious body, his chest heaving as he wiped blood from his lip. I walked up beside him, my legs shaking but still steady.

Me: You did it.

Kacchan: We did it, Deku.

His voice was softer than usual, and for the first time in what felt like forever, I allowed myself to smile. We really had done it—together.

A/N: I might have gotten confused.... warehouse or safehouse... in my mind it was both in one...... but I think I never explained it before.... sorry for that.
