Bad Woman 9

Aryan's eyes was filled with joy as he sat waiting for Gauri. He couldn't help but soak in the warmth this little place his mother lives in. His mind started to fantasize about how happy his life will be with Gauri. Having her wake him up for school every morning made him smile. The breakfast that would greet him every day as he rise made his heart yearn. Just by looking at the decor in the house he could tell how loving his mom is. The white theme throughout the apartment practically screamed perfect woman.

"This is my mom!" Aryan proudly whispered to Khanna who was sitting across from him.

"Look at this clean house. Look at this white decor. Do you know what that means Khanna?"

"What does it mean young master?"

"She is an angel." Aryan grinned.

Suddenly he heard Gauri openning her room door.

"Gauri!"

"You seem so excited. Are you ready?"

"Yes! But Gauri...could I see your room?"

Gauri was surprise by such a request and couldn't help but smile. "Why?"

"Your place is decorated so nice! I told Khanna only an Angel like you can do so."

Gauri's lips were slightly hooked as she heard this little boy's flattery. "Oh really? You like this white theme decor?"

"YES!"

"Well then. Come and see my room."

Aryan jumped off the white sofa and followed Gauri as she slowly opened her bedroom door. The expectation in Aryan's eyes made Gauri want to laugh. However, as Aryan saw the room his smile froze.

"It's black. The sheets are black. The pillows are black. The carpet is black. Even the window curtains are black!" Aryan yelled inside his head.

Seeing Aryan's shocked expression really amused Gauri. "So. What do you think?"

"It's. It's. It's nice. Ver..very nice!"

Leaning on the door frame with her arms crossed Gauri couldn't help but see Aryan's stiff reaction.

"Do you still think an Angel sleeps here or.....something else..."

Aryan quickly turned his eyes away from the dark room and ran back to Gauri. "Angel! Angel! Definitely."

"Oh? but it's not white like out there." Gauri pointed to the living room. "Oh. I forgot to mention that my friend Bhavya is the one who decorated the living room."

Aryan's eyes twitched as he scolded himself internally. Even Khanna was embarrassed for his young master.

"Um Gauri. Let's go eat. I'm hungry."

Seeing the boy's cheek flushed Gauri couldn't help but ruffle the little guy's hair.

"Let's go."

As they walked out of the apartment complex Aryan couldn't help but keep staring at Gauri's hand.

"I really want to hold it. But what if she doesn't like it? But I really want to." Aryan was so busy debating on how to hold Gauri's hand that he didn't realize the slightly uneven road ahead.

With a sudden impact against the tip of his shoe Aryan tumbled forward but luckily he felt someone grab his hand to pull him back.

"How old are you that you can still trip when walking in broad daylight?" Gauri teased.

"Pay more attention. If you get hurt I will not be responsible." Gauri joked as she tried to free her hand but the boy's grasp was a bit strong.

"Are you not standing upright yet? Why not let go?"

Biting his lower lip as he finally held his mother's hand Aryan gave Gauri the most pitiful puppy dog eyes he could exert.

"Can I not let go? Can we not hold hands?"

Gauri has seen through Aryan's repetitive tricks and lowered her head down to meet the little boys pitiful eyes. "No."

Aryan couldn't believe that Gauri would not play according the normal routine. This time his eyes really looked pitiful. As he slowly loosen his grip he felt a warm hand grab his other hand.

"I like walking on the left so I'll hold your right hand instead."

Even though surprised, Aryan still couldn't hold back his tears. He tried to wipe it really quick but his mom was still staring at him.

"Do you still think I am a good woman?" Gauri asked Aryan who looked up at her with tears in his eyes.

This time he didn't care if Gauri saw him wipe his tears because he didn't want her to misunderstand him.

"You are good. Really are."

"Then why did you cry?" Gauri teased.

"I thought. I thought you didn't want to be close to me...again."

Gauri has never been close to children and had no experience on how to treat one but she knew that if she continued to tease Aryan he would most likely cry when he got home. A bit of guilt poked at Gauri's heart.

"Hey. Aryan."

Once again Gauri bent down to look into Aryan's innocent eyes. "Sorry. I shouldn't tease you so much. Don't be sad. We are friends now so I will always want to be close to you."

"Really?"

"Really. So lets go to lunch."

As they walked to the car where Khanna was already waiting Aryan couldn't help but swing his arm that was holding Gauri's hand a bit higher. At school he always envied those kids that held their mom's hand. The happier they were the higher the arms would swing together.

At first Gauri noticed the sudden swinging in their arms and how happy Aryan was. The corners of her lips hooked up a bit until she felt the motion becoming a bit too strong. Now they look like those soldiers marching with the hands swinging up to their shoulders.

"Aryan."

"Yes?"

"Are you trying to dislocate my arm? I really don't want to spend the rest of my day in the hospital."

Thinking that he would stop the swinging motion Gauri was only greeted with a big smile. "Gauri. I know you are teasing me again. I'm not falling for it again!" Aryan yelled as he continued to swing happily.

"No. Really. I am not." Gauri sighed inwardly.

Unbeknownst to them Khanna was recording this little incident to send to Omkara.

With a notification on his phone Omkara slowly clicked on the video clip. With his lip slighlty hooked he couldn't help but let out a low chuckle.

"Brat."

It's been awhile. Just wanted to write something with a mother and son type relationship.
