Zayn and Xavier walk out of the school hand in hand, as Zayn swings their hands back and fourth.

"Xavier, do you know what today is?" Zayn asked giddy.

"Friday?"

"Yeah, but what else."

"The weekend."

"I know that silly, today is Halloween!" Cheered Zayn.

"Ok. Do you wanna hang back at my place?"

"Xavier, I wanna go trick or treating."

"Aren't you a little old to be doing that stuff." Xavier says with a soft chuckle.

"I'm only seventeen, please Xavier. We can dress up as Mermaidman and Barnacle boy." Zayn said with excitement.

Xavier howl in laughter, "That's the most ridiculous costume I've ever heard."

Zayn frowned and let go Xavier hand, he didn't think it was funny. He never got to experience Halloween when he was younger. Aurora wouldn't allow it, she used to make Zayn watch through the window as all the kids got to dress up in costumes and get candy while he pouted that he couldn't go.

"Zayn wait." Xavier says running after Zayn and taking his hand turning him around to face him.

"That wasn't nice Xavier, I never got to dress up or went out on Halloween." Zayn pouted.

Xavier hands are on Zayn's hip bringing him closer. "I'm sorry, I should've have laugh. Why don't we go to the costume store to see if have any Mermaidman and Barnacle boy costume."

Zayn eyes lit up like a Christmas tree lights. "Really!? I mean, if it's a dumb idea, than we don't have to do it."

"No baby, it's not dumb. I wanna go trick or treating with you. I haven't done it in such a long time, it would be nice to dress up with you." Xavier says kissing Zayn's nose making him giggle.

Zayn link his arms around Xavier's neck. "Thank you Xavier, I'm happy that I can go trick or treating. Can I be Barnacle boy, please."

"Of course you can. I like to see you happy, it's the best feeling in the world to see you smile. I lov-" Xavier didn't finish his last words, he couldn't believe he was going to say the four letter word to Zayn. Xavier did felt something deeply for Zayn, but he couldn't love him. Xavier think he doesn't deserve Zayn forgiveness or kindness.

"You didn't finish what you were saying." Zayn said, putting his forehead on Xavier. Xavier just stared into Zayn's eyes, getting butterflies in his stomach. The emotional feeling in his heart that's making his eyes water.

"It's nothing Zayn, let's head to the Halloween." Xavier says quickly, taking Zayn hands and wiping his eyes with his other hand, then Xavier whipped around and crouch to Zayn's level and capture his lips.

"Xavier." Zayn gasp and giggled.

"Sorry, I just needed to do that."

"It's okay. I like your kisses."

Zayn and Xavier both went into the Spirit Halloween store to see if they can find their costume. Xavier highly doubted they were going to find a costume from the spongebob tv show, but it wouldn't hurt to try."

"Can I help you gentleman." The clerk asked.

"Yeah, do you have any Mermaid man and Barnacle boy costumes by any chance?"

"Actually we do, it was popular a few years back, but rarely people purchase them this year, I will go fetch them from the back."

"Ok thanks."

Three minutes later the guy came back with the costumes and Zayn was already running towards his costume and looking at it in awe.

"We will take them." Xavier says taking out his wallet.

"Alright, there's a changing room in the back, if you like to use it." The clerk says ringing up the total amount of both costumes.

"Yeah, we will change in the back. Thanks again." Xavier says handing the money and took both costumes in his hand.

Zayn followed Xavier to the back to a small changing room. They both went inside and started to change.

Xavier started to put the bright orange shirt that has the purple shells attached to the shirt and then putting on the green gloves. Then he put on the green tights on and the black underwear, and lastly the M belt around his waist.

Xavier already gotten dress and looked towards Zayn who was shirtless trying to put on the red shirt. Xavier just stared at Zayn's olive skin chest.

"Xavier can you help me please." Zayn whine making Xavier blink a few times and take his eyes off Zayn's body, he helped Zayn put his hands through the shirt and the mini blue scarf around his neck. Then added the blue gloves, sailor hat, black shorts, and lastly the purple shell belt.

Xavier, your not going to put the purple starfish on your face?"

"I'm going to look silly with that on my face."

"Come on, it's Halloween. Just wear it for me, pretty please."

Xavier sigh. "Alright, I will."

"Thanks." Zayn softly smiled pecking Xavier lips.

They exited out the fitting room with their clothes in hand.

"Here are bags for your clothes and trick or treat pumpkin bags free of charge.

"Thanks eh." Xavier stumbles, then look at the guy's name tag on his shirt. "Andrew."

"Your welcome. Have a nice Halloween."

Zayn and Xavier had been treat or treating for a few hours. Zayn couldn't get enough of going to every house to get a candy and some of the parents commented on his costume that they like it which made Zayn feel warm inside. Zayn is so happy that he got to experience Halloween with Xavier. Xavier is a bit tired, but he's glad that Zayn enjoying himself.

"Xavier, you don't look like your having a good time." Zayn pouted.

"I am Zayn, it's just I'm tired and hungry."

"Should we stop then?"

"No, your having a great time, I don't my sour attitude to cut our Halloween time together." Xavier says with a grin and taking Zayn's hand.

"Hey Mr, can you tie my shoes please." A little girl asked Xavier.

"Yea of course. What are you supposed to be?"

"Elsa from the Disney movie Frozen."

"What's Frozen?" Asked Xavier.

"Are you serious? It's only the best movie in the whole wide world." She babbled.

Xavier chuckled and turned to Zayn.

"You can go to that house right in front of us, I will be joining you soon."

Zayn nodded and walked up ahead to the nice house with Halloween decorations. Zayn press the door bell button and the door open.

"Aren't you a cutey." The teenage boy grinning.

"Trick or treat." Zayn beamed with a smile holding out his bag.

"Sorry, all out of candy."

"Oh ok." Frown Zayn.

"Oh, I think I have candy in my bedroom, you should come with me."

"I thought you said, you didn't have candy."

"I'm not sure if I have any in my room, now come on." Barked the teenager making Zayn frighten.

"No, I'm leaving now." Zayn says walking backwards, but the guy grabbed Zayn's hand.

"No, your not going anywhere. I have a little trick or treat candy in my pants to show you."

"That's weird that you have candy inside your pants, please let me go!" Zayn yelled.

"Get your hands off him!" Growled Xavier punching the guy in the nose making him fall back falling on the floor.

"You ok? Did he hurt you?" Xavier questioned bringing Zayn to a hug.

"No, he wanted me to see candy inside his pants and I didn't want to." Mumbled Zayn.

"That's good you said no, cause that's weird."

"That's what I said to him!" Zayn giggled pecking Xavier cheek.

"Let's go to the store and get something to drink."

Zayn nodded. "Ok."

"Xavier my trick or treat bag is low on candy, I didn't get a lot and we went to ten different houses." Zayn whined, as Xavier opens the store door for him.

"It's really late Zayn, but we can go to maybe a few more houses. Do you want to get something to drink?"

"Yes! Can I get a Arizona fruit punch?"

"Yeah, go get it from the back where the cold drink are at."

When Xavier saw Zayn went to the back of the store to get the drink, he got a bunch of candy and put it on the counter.

"Ok put all this candy in a bag and when my friend comes over with his drink. Say here's your trick or treat candy ok? But make it extravagant like he won or something." Xavier says quickly paying for it.

The clerk women smile and nodded. Zayn came back with his drink and put on the counter.

"You have a lovely costume." The clerk lady says with a bright smile.

"Thank you."

"You are the 100th customer of the day! So that means you get this bag full of candy!" She exclaim and Zayn gasp jumping up and down.

"Oh my god! Did you hear that Xavier!? I get more candy! For being their 100th customer!" Zayn cheered taking the bag of candy from the lady.

"Thanks wonderful Zayn. Lucky we came to the store." Xavier said watching Zayn excitement. It made him feel good inside to see Zayn the happiest he can be.

"Yeah! Thank you nice lady." Zayn says waving.

"Anytime sweetheart, your adorable."

The store door open. "Alright nobody move!." A masked man with a gun boomed which made Xavier pull Zayn close to him.

"Xavier I'm scared." Whimpered Zayn.

"It's going to be okay. Just stay quiet okay?"

"Lady give me all the money in the cash register now!" He barked. The lady shakily took out the money from the register.

Another guy with the a mask came into the store and went around to meet the other guy, then froze when he saw me for some reason.

"Here take the money and put it in the car." The guy with the gun told the other one.

"O-ok." He stutters.

"That's not yours!" Zayn shouted.

"And what your going to do about it? Two against one you little shit." Barked the man with the gun.

"Zayn stoping talking." Warned Xavier.

"But that's not fair, their taking money from the nice lady." Whined Zayn.

"Let's go already, we have the money."

The guy with the gun shook his head, "The kid over there thinks he can just open his big mouth and say all this crap."

"Forget them."

The guy with the gun laugh and tilted the gun sideways. "Dude relax the gun doesn't have any bullets." He says, then pulls the trigger.

The bullet hit Zayn in the stomach and he fell to the floor.

"No Zayn! Stay with me." Xavier yelled putting pressure on his stomach which was overflowing with blood.

"Xavier, it hurts." Zayn cried.

"Everything going to f-fine Zayn just stay with me keep talking to m-me I can't l-lose you know now."

"I though you said their wasn't any bullets!? Barked the guy with the money.

"I purchased the gun with no bullets, it's must've had a bullet already in the gun." The guy said taking of his mask, that made Xavier get a good look at the guy.

"Crash!? You fucking asshole! You shot Zayn. You lucky I'm trying to keep him alive. Your dead, you HEAR ME!" Roared Xavier.

"Xavier my head hurts, please stop yelling."

"I'm s-sorry b-baby."

"I called the ambulance is on its way." The clerk lady said hanging up the phone.

"T-Thank y-you." Stutter Xavier.

"How is Zayn." The other guy asked taking off his Mask.

"Niall!!? What the hell are you doing with Crash! You idiot. Does he look fine to you!?"

"T-this wasn't s-suppose to h-happen. Crash was supposed to get the m-money and we leave, we thought no one would at the store at Eleven a-at night." Niall stutter tears flowing from his eyes.

"We'll look what both of you did! If Zayn dies because of you both, I will personally torture you both for months on end. You will have no fucking mercy." Xavier spat.

"Niall, we gotta leave." Crash says nervously.

"I'm not leaving my bestfriend. You shot him, I can't just runaway with you."

"You promise me we would try being together. On the run together, it was an accident I didn't mean to shoot him, Let's go."

"I'm not going with you. I'm staying here with Xavier and Zayn. I'm doing this with you anymore Crash."

"Well this goodbye then Niall." Crash says quickly pecking him on the lips.

"Your not leaving, you are going to jail for this." Xavier says with anger.

"I am going to leave or I will shoot all of you." Crash says pointing the gun at Xavier and then at Niall. Crash slowly walked backwards and left into his car and sped away.

"I feel sleepy." Zayn says blinking slowly.

"No you can't go to sleep Zayn. You have to stay with me. You cannot leave me alone, I need you damn it." Cried Xavier.

"Just quick nap is all Xavier."

"No Zayn, keep talking about how much candy you have in your bag and how you much you love your costume. You will not d-died on me, I won't allow that to happen! I love you Zayn. I need you in my life wether you don't love me back. Your the best person I've met in life that change me and I need you around. I need you to keep making me a better person for you and to cherish you." Xavier sob.

"You're talking too fast Xavier. All I know is, I like your kisses as well." Zayn said slowly closing his eyes.

"Sir, we will take it from here, we are going to take him inside the ambulance now."

Xavier nodded and gave Zayn's lifeless body to the paramedic.

"Can I ride in the back with Zayn to the hospital please." Xavier begged.

"Yeah."

"What about me?" Niall questioned his face red from crying, he feels totally guilty and should've have agreed to steal from a store with Crash, he pleaded Crash to not to a gun, but he didn't listen.

"What about you? You caused this to Zayn. I should just beat the crap outta you right now."

"Please let me go with you, he's my friend to, I didn't want Crash to shoot Zayn. I begged him to leave to store. You know how much I care about Zayn."

"Get in and don't touch him or look at him." Xavier warned, scooting over.

Niall nodded and got into the ambulance.

It's been hours in the waiting room Niall and Xavier been sitting in their seats. Xavier couldn't seat till he had to walk around the little waiting area. He was fearing the worst for Zayn. He couldn't leave without Zayn, their isn't another Person that could replace Zayn in his heart.

Xavier felt like this Karma for all the evil things he's done to Zayn and now something bad happen to him and he feels like it's his fault for taking him to that store.

"I got your message Niall, how is Zayn." Leroy says rushes in the waiting.

"What the hell are you wearing!?" Xavier snaps.

"It's a dick costume, I was going to walk around with today cause I've be acting like a big dick to Zayn, is he ok?"

"The doctor still hasn't told us anything." Muttered Xavier.

"Who shot him?"

"Crash, can you believe Niall was with trying to steal money from a store. Very pathetic and their the reason that Zayn's been shot in the stomach" Xavier said with anger.

"I didn't know Crash was going to shot a human being, the plan was to take the money and leave, but he my best friend Zayn, I can't believe he did that." Niall says said sadly, putting his kneels close to his chest.

"Let's all think postive about Zayn, he's a strong adorable person who will pull through." Leroy reassured.

"Anyone here for Zayn Malik?"

" Yes doctor, how is he?" Xavier asked nervously.

"Not good, he's under life support if he can able to get himself into a coma, than it would be easier to wake himself. No vital organs were hurt when the bullet came in contact with his body. If he wakes up than he may be in a wheelchair, but he may need just physical therapy for a month or two."

"How long we he be on life support?" Niall asked, tears falling down his face.

"All depends if Zayn can wakes up or is stable enough to transition into a coma, if not, than he will die."
