Chapter 6

It was about 12:15 am on Wednesday morning. I just woke up after the delivering the twins through C-section. Mom and Dad hadn't come by yet. They left to do some cleaning around the house to get ready to bring the twins home. Beau was still stuck in his room on the other end of the hospital because he wasn't aloud to leave the room. I hadn't called anyone yet except for some immediate family.

I dialed Kirsten.

"Hello?" Kirsten answered, so groggy I could barely understand her.

"Hey, guess what?"I replieed happily.

"what?"she replied.

"I have two baby girls!"I said excitedly.

"WHAT?!"Kirsten explained on the other end.

"I just got back from my C-section."

"Omigosh!yay!!I will be there in like an ho-"

"No, get some sleep because thats what I'll be doing so you would be bored here anyway."I interrupted.

"Fine. Well, what are their names?"she asked.

"They don't have names yet. I'm waiting for Beau. They won't let him leave his room until morning so as soon as he gets here we're going to name them."I explained to a tired Kirsten.

"Okay, sounds good. Call me when you guys are all done with your family time and I'll come and hang out with my favorite 'nieces'...add air quotes to that Anna..."she replied.

"Of course. I'm really tired right now though so I'm going to go say goodnight to the girls and go to bed. I'll talk to you later in the morning."I replied.

"Kk, tell the girls I loooove them!Goodnight,"Kirsten replied laughing then hung up the phone.

I called a nurse to come and put the girls' next to my bed so that I could say goodnight.

"Hi, sweetie. You're gonna be so loved in this world. You have family sorrounding you and an amazing daddy, who is gonna be really crazy sometimes. But just think tomorrow morning you will be able to meet daddy and you will have a name. 'Auntie' Kirsten loves you and will see you in the morning. Goodnight babygirl and see you in the morning."I whispered to each of my baby girls while holding them. The nurse came in shortly after to move them to the end of the bed. Not even 10 minutes later I was out cold.

Early the next morning, around 7:30 am, I heard someone shuffling around in my room. I opened my eyes to see Beau holding one of our little baby girls. I gasped.

Beau looked over at me,

"Goodmorning sleepyhead,"he said.

"Goodmorning. What are you doing here?Did they finally let you leave the room?"I asked.

"Yes and Yes. So do these two beautiful babies have names yet?"He asked, giving me a hopeful look.

"If they did it would be on there crib. I was waiting for you."I told him.

"Oh okay. Well this little girl here is so calm and I was thinking about names while you were asleep and I think a great name would be Katherine Elizabeth. What do you think?" he asked.

"I like it, but it sounds to royal? What about something like Gabrielle Lynn?"I asked.

"Thats great name, but maybe add and 'a' at the end instead of e." He replied. "Gabriella Lynn, you are so beautiful."He whispered, looking down at our little girl.

"Yup, Gabriella Lynn Marshall. Lets not forget about our other little bugger over here, who happens to be wide awake," I replied to Beau.

"Of course, we couldn't forget about our other little bundle. She's gonna be the one keeping us up at night. She has the biggest brown eyes like her momma though,"He said to her, then smiled at me.

"Oh, boy. I've always loved the name Charlotte, which happens to be my moms middle name,"I replied looking at Beau.

"Well, I want your name to be in her name somehow because she looks exactly like you."

"Aww. Okay, what about...Charlotte Anne?"

"I like that one, but I don't really love it. Maybe Clarissa Renee? I know the Renee came out of nowhere but I like it."Beau replied.

"I love that name! I think we just named our two little girls. Gabrielle Lynn Marshall, 5 pounds 6 ounces, and 19 inches long. And over here we have Clarissa Renee Marshall, 5 pounds 3 ounces, and 19 and a half inches long."

"Well, lets get ready for one hectic year, because it's surely going to be one," Beau pointed out.

For about an hour we kindof just sat in the room and held our little girls. Clarissa was wide awake in Beau's arms while he was dozing off. Gabriella was sleeping in my arms while I looked at her.

"Beau?"

"W-What?"he replied groggily.

"Go back to your room and sleep. The girls are tired anyway and should go down in their cribs for a nap for a little bit. So roll yourself back to your room and go to sleep. Your mom and dad are on their way over. I told them to stop in by your room and hang around with you for a little bit." I explained.

"No I'll stay here with you and the girls," He replied.

"No, you're not. You are going to go back to your room and sleep. You keep dozing off while holding Clarissa. Plus, Kirsten is coming by and you know that she is going to want to hold them both anyway and I know how you get when she starts to go a little psycho." I explained to him.

"Fine. I'm gonna get some sleep then I guess. I'll be back around lunch time. Love you."he said to me, then looked at Clarissa and Gabriella, "I love you little angels too, sleep tight."

About a half-hour after Beau left Kirsten walked in the door.

"Heeeyyy, momma!Omigosh, I cannot believe that you have two little girls sleeping in this room right now!"Kirsten exclaimed.

"SHHH!!Like you said there are two little babies sleeping in this room right now that just fell asleep."I explained to her, looking down at little Ella who was laying in my arms.

Kirsten walked over to Clarissa, who was still awake in her crib.

"Can I hold her?"Kirsten whispered.

"Of course, thats why you came isn't it?"I asked, laughing.

"That, and to bring all the gifts from everyone at school. They are in my car. Want me to run and get them now or wait till later?"she asked.

"You can get them later. I know you want to hold them so why don't you grab Clarissa and hold her because Ella is out cold and should sleep for a little bit."I replied laying Ella in her crib.

My phone started buzzing on the table, it was my sister Carrie.

"Hey!!!" I said answering the phone.

"Anna!Why the hell didn't you call me? I just got off the phone with mom. You had the babies?!"Carrie yelled into the phone. She was up in OshKosh for college.

"I'm sorry, there was so much going on. Yes I did. Are you coming down here to see them?"I asked.

"I have class until 3 today, but my first class doesn't start until 2pm tomorrow, so I was thinking I'd be there around 5?"

"Sounds great!I'll see you then sis. Love you."I replied.

"Love you too and tell my two little nieces I love them. Oh and I think Zack is coming down with me, but I'm not sure. Oh, and I wanted to get your permission to bring Bryce down with me. I gotta go. Love you, bye."Carrie said.

"That's fine, bye"I said then hung up the phone.

"So, who was that?"Kirsten asked.

"Carrie, she's coming down later this afternoon. Shes bringing her new man with her. He better be nice though because my sister as already been with enough duschbags ."I said seriously.

"Fun. This little girl is so tiny,"Kirsten replied looking down at Clarissa, who was now alseep. "Do you mind if I set her in her crib? Then I can go and grab the stuff out of the car."Kirsten asked.

"Yeah go ahead. We can open them while you're here then. On your way in can you tell Beau he can come in and help if he wants?"I asked.

"Yeah no problem. I'll be right back."Kirsten said running out of the room.

While Kirsten was gone I went about thinking of everything that had happened in the past year. There were only a few significant things that had happened in the past year. This day exactly is Beau's and I two-year anniversary. But there were a couple of things that were really important. Carrie and Zach had graduatieed from highschool and both got accepted to college: Carrie went to UW Oshkosh and Zach went to Marquette. It was also the year of my mom and dad's 25th anniversary. Mom and dad were actually planning on going to Bora Bora next weekend, they better go because I am going to make them go. And a couple of the things in the past few months that has happened was that Beau and I made it through so many problems and we are still strong.
