Chapter 7

Jay drove further into the midst of the ghetto, I assumed, because the places we passed were bleak and dark and, in no area, was there enough shops open. Every transaction seemed to be carried out behind closed doors. On the way, I passed two people fighting in front of a stall, breaking drink bottles over each other's head. I tugged Jay tighter.

Jay always kept to the wider, cleaner road where there was less chance of running into trouble. Then, he drove into the underground parking area of one huge building by the road which was clearly given off for people to rent. It wasn't anything like a fancy building but it seemed to serve its purpose. Most of the lights in each apartment were on.

"Where are we?" I asked him as I dismounted from the machine.

"My place."

He took my hand and led me to the elevator. We waited for a minute before it descended and Jay pulled open the collapsible door. We stepped inside, Jay yanked close the door again and pressed the bottom to the fourth floor. Then, we stood in silence, our back against the metal walls.

As we rode up in the little box, my mind raced ahead, wondering what could happen next.

Why did he bring me here?

Will we kiss?

Or will we have sex?

What are we gonna do?

I swallowed and kept my eyes straight to the door. My body temperature seemed to rise a notch up and I couldn't even look at him while my fingers fiddled in my palms.

I need a fan.

Counting the possibilities, pondering if it was the right time, if it would really happen or if I was ready, I jumped when Jay called me.

"Lola?"

"Yeah?" I looked at him.

Pursing his lips to fight a smile, he asked, "What are you thinking?"

"Nothing." I shook my head.

Drifting his gaze back to the metal door, he said, "You better be thinking something. A lot of things are happening tonight."

That made the breath in my lungs to drop to my stomach and my teeth sunk into my bottom lip. When the elevator stopped, Jay pulled the door open again, and made way for me to move. I stepped out to the corridor and he followed suit.

"Dylan, stop that before I hit you on the face!" A woman bellowed from one of the rooms on the right.

"Ow! Mom!"

Each of the doors on both sides was all slammed shut but there was nothing to keep the noises contained inside. I followed Jay to the last door on the right. His long arms reached up to the top of the ledge and sought out the key from it; just one single key. I watched as he opened the lock and shuffled inside.

"Welcome to my deluxe."

With the first step I took, through the threshold, my shoes came in contact with a doormat that read 'welcome'. I looked up at him amused.

"Fabio's housewarming gift." He smiled.

His deluxe was nothing like I expected. I wasn't sure what I was expecting anyway but it sure was nothing I could've imagined. It was one huge room with everything inside it, every room combined. On the left corner of the room was his bed area, on the right corner was the kitchen and just next to the kitchen was another door which I figured led to the bathroom.

Facing this door was two windows, with empty ledges but for an ashtray, just enough for a person to crawl in. The bed area had been partly partitioned by gray curtains that fell just an inch above the ground. The whole room had red, exposed brick walls and that gave the place a cozy appearance.

"Wow." I sauntered inside and looked up to see a fan motionless right above my head.

A meter away from the fan hung three metal bars, with a distance of one meter each, for him to swing around and work on his body. His place wasn't that tidy or organized but it wasn't hopeless too. Every inch of it screamed Jay and his freedom to maintain it however he wanted.

He locked the door behind us and walked toward his bed.

"Come in," he said as he removed his shirt yet again, doing tricks to my hormones, and threw it on a chair nearby.

I followed, stood by the curtain and watched him open his closet. Dark mahogany wood standing over 80 inches, it seemed big enough for him to keep all his clothes in if he wasn't an aggressive shopper and he didn't strike me as one.

He picked out a towel and threw it to me over his head. I caught it, let down my hair and began to pat it dry. Jay went on to seek out a t-shirt, a pajama, another towel for himself before he strolled back to me.

Coming to stand in front of me as I stood there drying my hair, his eyes stayed intent on me, counting every breath of mine as I slowly lose them one after the other.

"You need a change of clothes," he murmured as he calmly reached out for the zip of his jacket that I was wearing with my bra alone.

I remained glued to my spot, my eyes locked with his meticulous ones that do an excellent job of peeling my guard down bit by bit. I looked down to the floor, eyes closed, swallowing, and took a moment to gather my thought. While his fingers slowly pulled down the zip, inch by inch, the bare skin of my chest peeking out from its hiding for him to see.

"Look at me, Lola," he said, the low hum of his voice playing with my pulse.

He pulled open the zip and I felt my chest rise and fall beneath his gaze. He let his hands to slip under the collar of the jacket, touched me on my shoulder and slowly stroked the jacket off of me. The sensation of his hand sliding on my body, rough and yet entrancing, had my eyes fluttering shut and I felt my body lean into him, my palms coming in contact with his chest, my legs almost giving up on me.

The jacket fell to the floor and the chill of the night hit my senses, reviving them. Jay took a step forward and ran his hands up my shoulder, giving light squeezes on my flesh as his fingers slowly reached my neck. I felt every single inch of his palms on my skin and I balled my palms to contain this craving that had started to crawl on every part of me.

His face came unbelievably close to mine while his right forefinger gently nudged my chin up, bringing my lips just next to his. We breathe the same air, we lived in the same moment, we heard the same silence, the same heartbeat, and Jay. . . he tilted his face in and seized my mouth firmly and wholly into his, unyielding and determined to get everything he wanted.

My breathing hitched in my throat and Jay only deepened the kiss, pulling my face harder into his and running his tongue to every inch of my mouth, eliciting a tiny moan from my throat. Hardly able to stay still, my fingers crept up his chest, pressing into his skin until they were gripping him on his shoulders and holding onto him for dear life. We tasted the same touch and I was a goner.

When Jay finally pulled back for a breather, I was gasping breathlessly as I met his unwavering eyes. Kissing me again, he wrapped his arms around my waist and hoisted me up on his torso, straddling my legs around his waist as my arms automatically went around his neck. I clung to him with all my might, hugging his head close while I kissed back, fighting to match his passion. We burned together.

When Jay swung me and threw me down on his bed, my body bounced up from the mattress and I watched him crawl up on top of me like an animal, stalking for something to to devour. His eyes were dark and his breathing as heavy as mine.

Not a word was exchanged as I pulled him down and our lips met once more for another searing and endless kiss. The taste of his mouth filled my mind, the sweetness exploding behind my closed eyes, every touch of his fingers significant, and I just wanted more. More of him.

I heard him give out a low groan before me pinned my arms over my head and dug his face into my neck, sucking and biting into my flesh, sliding his tongue down to the valley of my breasts. When his wide hands covered up my bra and he squeezed the mounds on my chest hard, my body squirmed under his, arching up, and I moaned out loudly, throwing my head back. It was painful and yet I enjoyed every sting of it.

With one more kiss, Jay began to unbutton my jeans and that was when I realized I had come completely unprepared. I wasn't wearing anything sexy underneath, neither did I have the experience. I sure as hell wasn't ready for the deed yet.

"Oh, no no. Jay wait." I grabbed his wrists and stopped him, panting like a dog.

He stopped and looked up curiously.

I swallowed and panted, "Wait."

After a long look at my tomato-red flushed face, he came up on top of me and asked, "Are you a virgin, Lola?"

That sent a jolt to my heart and as my eyes stayed locked in his gaze, my body seemed to give in to him yet again, reacting in a way that was uncalled for. The voice in my head suddenly screamed that I wanted it to be him. Jay. In me. Making me feel things I'd never felt before.

"Well, it isn't the end of the world today." He smiled and moved away. "Are you hungry?"

Flustered, I sat up on the bed and tried smoothing my hair. "Maybe a little."

"I don't really eat here so I have nothing but a half-eaten pizza. I'll heat that up."

"Perfect," I replied and fell back into his bed with a smile on my face, feeling relieved and a little over the moon.
