WARNING: This is a briefing with EVERYTHING plot relevant that happened so far, I took some time to do this because I know I took so long to update that important parts may be forgotten, so here's some help so y'all don't need to read everything again, if you don't want to! LOVE YOU ALL

Chapters 1 - 20

There was a party at the Stark Tower, typical Stark festivity, everyone from the avengers were there except Steve, who was excessively bothered by those parties and strangely even more those past months, but he didn't know why.

Tony was a party animal,but wasn't enjoying his own party, which seemed strange to everyone, especially to him. Nath tried to convince Steve to come to the party, but he preferred to keep training. It wasn't just the party that was bothering him, but also Tony.

The next day they had an early meeting at the Tower with Fury, everyone was already there from the party last night. Rogers arrived earlier than expected, finding Tony in the kitchen alone making some coffee.

"Missed you here,cap" - Tony said but right after didn't believe what he said, it was automatic.

"Oh yeah, like you could miss me with all those girls falling over you" - WHAT? Steve didn't mean to say that so angry and it was like his chest was being pressed through a wall.

Both were a little confused about what just happened and didn't know what to say or do.

They had the meeting and after Rogers waited to talk to Tony, because Stark hadn't said anything during it. They argued and Tony said some rough things, both felt really bad, which was unusual since they were used to arguing a lot.

They went to the mission the next day against Ultron, it was difficult, but with Rogers' leadership they managed to succeed, they were celebrating the victory till they realized Tony was missing. Steve was instantly worried and commanded everyone to look for him, no one would leave till they found Stark. After 4 hours of searching, there was no signal of him and Steve was losing control. Everybody decided to leave, but he kept looking for him.

After a long time looking Steve started to cry like he hasn't in a long time, he was losing hope when he saw a pale blue light under the wreckage. He lifted them the fastest he could and found Tony unconscious, hurt, without the front part of the helmet, but Rogers didn't know if he was alive or not. The captain lifted the iron man in his armour and carried him all the way to the Stark Tower.

Steve was able to remove the armor, put Tony in bed and after some desperate waiting Tony woke up, making him cry again. Steve took care of him, helped him take a shower, during which they realized they were having feelings for each other because of the awkward tension they felt in that situation. Afterwards, Rogers was taking care of Tony's wounded face.Tony looked at him and saw he was still staring at his lips.

I ALMOST LOST HIM. ALMOST LOST HIM BEFORE I EVEN HAD HIM.

The thought came to Steve's mind again and he got scared, he just came to his senses when Tony placed a hand on his face.

"It's ok, go ahead" - Tony said , now with a hand on his arm.

Steve looked at him confused.

"Go ahead,Kiss me"

They kissed passionately for the first time that night and on and on till they fell asleep together. The next day Natasha called at 4am and found out by Steve that he was sleeping in the same bed with Tony. In the morning, Tony got up and told Pepper,who was at the tower concerned about him, about Steve and him. When Steve woke up he barely spoke to Tony, he was scared and worried it was a bad idea what they did and left, which hurt both Tony and Rogers.

Steve was trying to protect Tony by leaving, cause he received an anonymous phone call saying that they had clamped Nath's phone and knew about Tony and Steve's secret and if Steve wanted to protect them he needed to meet this person.

Tony was drowning his sorrows in alcohol at home, JARVIS announced Rogers at the door and Stark let him in.He felt strong arms hug him from behind. He closed his eyes and tilted his head back on his shoulder, when he opened his eyes to look at Steve. It was not Steve.Before Tony could think or do anything the strange man behind him, put something on Stark's head that made him stop moving.

A man named Kevin Stand, son of a former employee at Stark Industries was using a device from Stark Industries itself against Tony. He claimed he wanted to give back to the world the amazing weapons Stark had, but Tony decided not to sell anymore like his father. He ripped the Stark reactor from Tony's chest, sent the disturbing picture of Tony to Steve and left him agonizing.

Steve received the message while waiting for the anonymous person to show up

He desperately ran to the tower, called Pepper on the way there and asked Natasha to call everyone, especially Banner to help. When he got there all avengers, not all,were already there, Pepper showed Banner an old reactor and was helping him reactivate.

Steve stormed in pushing everyone who was in the way Steve got down on his knees and started crying, holding Tony's hand.Everyone was scared, terrified of losing Tony, but also surprised to see Steve crying like that.Tony was barely breathing, struggling a lot to stay awake, his skin was really pale.They were able to do prototype that worked and after a while brought Tony back, Steve apologized for leaving him and they kissed again.

Natasha caught them kissing roughly and protested cause Tony was still fragile and ended up revealing to Tony that Steve was still a virgin, which embarrassed him, but Tony reassured him it was ok.They discussed whether or not to tell Fury about what happened, but Tony decided it was better not to, because Fury would want to eliminate his reactor all together. Later that night things started to heat up again between them, but Steve stopped claiming it was because of Tony's condition, but Tony knew he was still insecure.

In the middle of the night Tony woke up from a perverted dream with Steve, but told him it was a nightmare. When they woke up in the morning, Steve asked who else knew about them, but only Nath and Pepper did. He expressed his insecurities to Tony, because he was inexperienced in the dating field.

Downstairs they met everybody and they discussed a plan to get the reactor back from the Kevin guy. Tony was used as bait and attracted Kevin and his soldiers, he tried to stop Tony with shocks, but the team worked together and they recovered the reactor, the man promised it was not the end of it. On the ride back, Steve was really angry at Tony for putting himself in danger, they had a big fight at the tower, Steve brought up that he cared about Tony, but was insecure about him and he thought he was going to run away, Tony was upset about Steve's thought and started yelling back, Steve lost control when Tony called him stupid and grabbed him by the wrist, regreting right after and apologizing for having hurt the man he cared about.

They talked it out, came to an agreement, Tony took the insecurities from him. They had pizza together and after that things started to heat up. Tony wasn't sure if Steve was ready, but Rogers gave him the green light... it was going to happen, They had their first time and were feeling stronger about each other. Tony had a panic attack in the middle of the night, Steve missed him on the bed and found him on the floor in bad shape. He took care and supported him, even though he was broken to pieces to see Tony like that, suffering. Tony was embarrassed about Steve seeing him like that, but Steve only reassured him he was worried and was going to be there for him.

The next day Tony went missing because of embarrassment, Steve was going crazy trying to find him. Three days passed and nothing, Steve was going back after a day of search, devastated and found Tony drinking on the couch. Anger filled him and he yelled at Tony, called him names, Tony was claiming he was bad for Steve and didn't want to hurt him. Steve got tired of all those things he was hearing because Tony ran away then left the tower and went to stay with Bucky for 3 months. Tony was a wreck, devastated, couldn't sleep or eat well, he missed Steve terribly, Rogers missed him too.

When Steve was finally leaving Bucky's house he received a phone call from Natasha informing him about a bad car accident involving Tony, Steve ran to S.H.I.E.L.D. 's hospital desperately, blaming himself for not being with him again when he needed to. Tony needed emergency surgery, but during which the system was attacked and they had to fight some intruders that probably were trying to get in the way of Tony's surgery to end his life.

Everything went well, Steve lost control when he got one of the responsibles, which scared everyone. After surgery, Steve was first to enter his room hoping for him to wake up, he stayed by his side, then he woke up, they talked and settled everything, more importantly decided to be boyfriends. After 2 days, Tony was dismissed from the hospítal and asked Steve to go home with him. When he got there he was devastated with all the alcohol Tony had been consuming when he was not around and felt guilty.

They were spending the night together sharing cuddles and kisses now officially a boyfriends, they were about to have their second time when JARVIS announced the avengers, they both stopped pissed off to receive them, they were all happy Tony was fine, but they wanted answers since they found out about their relationship at the hospital.

They asked a lot of invasive questions, embarrassing Steve. They were curious and really surprised to see such an unexpected pairing as Steve and Tony, but they were all supportive and really excited about this new relationship.

The next day was the day of their first official date. Tony was hoping to meet Steve's expectations, because it would be his first date in a long long time and Steve was nervous, so he asked Natasha for help. They went to a romantic restaurant in a private part Tony reserved for an "Avengers Meeting" so no one could see them. Afterward Tony drove Steve to a cabin, as a surprise for the night, Steve learned later it was his hideaway place and was so touched that Tony was sharing this with him.

When Tony left the room to prepare a bath for them, Steve found in an open drawer and found a file containing a lot of papers about the shield and the super soldier serum. Another file had information about the time Rogers was missing and frozen in ice. Tony Kept secret S.H.I.E.L.D and HYDRA files. Some of them had Steve's possible location and old pictures of him from the time he was at war. But, what really caught Steve's attention was to find Hydra original archives and it made him think about what Tony had done to get them.

Steve thought about how Tony possibly put himself in danger to keep him safe from Hydra and he never told anyone about it. Rogers felt really bad for all the time I misjudged him and thought he was just a selfish Playboy. He saw a diary in the bottom of the drawer, under all of the files he kept and opened hoping to find more things about himself or the others, but it was a personal diary. I opened a random page.

"I had the same nightmare again and that time it happened when I was awake, it is haunting me. Drinking is not helping me keep this away anymore. It just gets worse."

Tony called him and Steve put everything back fast, even though he was still thinking about what he just saw when he went upstairs and found Tony in the bathtub waiting for him, he promised himself he would make this night count and enjoy. They had sex for the second time. ( TO READ ABOUT : CHAPTER 20 SEX ON FIRE) After Tony fell asleep, Steve couldn't , thinking about those files and went downstair to investigate some more even though he knew it was wrong, but he needed to know if Tony was in danger and if he was ok, he wouldn't bare to see him hurt again.

CHAPTERS 21 to 42

As he read Tony's words from the diary he only felt more guilty and worried, the words were deep and painful.

" I feel like I'm going to die, my head tells my body that I shouldn't be alive even if I don't want to die"

They were called really early in the morning to go to a mission in Russia, Fury was mad at them for arriving late.Apparently a new organization was opened there and there are no legal records about it. They were afraid that this had something to do with HYDRA. Steve didn't believe at first considering that HYDRA fell a long time ago, but when Fury told them that they lost track of Synthea Schmidt he changed his mind.

Synthea was The Red Skull's daughter, her growth was accelerated so she could meet the Villain's expectations. She became the Leader of a group called The Sin Sisters , a team composed by orphan girls whose growth was accelerated with technology and they gained psionic powers from The Red Skull. Then she was rescued by S.H.I.E.L.D that implanted false memories on her.

After the briefing, Fury confronted Tony and Steve about their relationship to make sure it wouldn't be a problem for the Avengers, because he knew Tony's dating history, Tony was mad and replied angrily at him, Steve tried to smooth things over, reassuring their relationship was serious and would not get in the way of the avengers.

Afterwards, Steve told Tony he found the files in the cabin and told him he could trust him with whatever it was, but apologized for meddling in his stuff. Tony told him he was trying to figure out more about Steve, because he was his father's obsession.Tony wanted to find Rogers, cause you he was the closest to his father he could get. He wanted to know why he was obsessed with him and he wanted to help Rogers. Stark knew HYDRA tried to destroy Steve, so he got into the HYDRA' s organization promising them advanced technology. When he got in, he had access to their files, so he stole the files that concerned Steve and deleted everything about him from their system.

Steve was grateful to see how that man trusted him, he told him his deepest secret. Natasha and Wanda were asking Steve for details of the date when Tony called Steve to help him change the reactor in his chest. He had now an improved, triangle reactor; they were caught kissing in the workshop by Wanda when she called them to leave for the mission.

Natasha announced to everyone that she and Bruce were dating, everyone was happy with the news. She asked Steve to talk to Tony so he could give Bruce some advice, because he was insecure to make a move in bed with Natasha, he thought she was way out of his league.

They had to be undercover to fly to Russia, they investigated in groups, Tony was attacked in a public bathroom by someone who told him they were after Steve and him specifically, but Stark preferred to share this information with Steve only.The next day they were attacked at the hotel, they didn't know how they found out about their location. It became clear to everybody during the attack that Tony and Steve were their target.

At night Tony had a nightmare about Steve.

"It was a nightmare. But it was too real. I don't know. It was you, it looked like you, but different at the same time. You were bad and had these red eyes and was trying to kill me and blame for a lot of things and I saw flashbacks of mistakes I made" - TONY

When they got back from the mission Fury was already waiting for them with the news that they confirmed that Kevin Stand and Synthia Schmidt were behind this, but there were more people involved. Bucky went to the tower to talk to Steve, Tony wasn't pleased by the visit , considering their past history.

Steve finally told Bucky about his relationship with Tony, he was surprised, but supportive.

"I heard about what happened, I'm afraid HYDRA could be involved. You told me you all have been attacked,but you didn't tell me their focus was you. Steve, when they found me back then , they were in fact trying to find you." - BUCKY

"I know they were trying to find me" - STEVE

" I recovered some memories not long ago(...)When the Russians got me they tried to find the super soldier serum in me, but they couldn't find it,so they just put me in cryogenic stasis till they knew what to do. The people who attacked you are in Russia and they're focused on you, whoever this is, is probably carrying the HYDRA legacy and trying to fulfil their main goal since always, that is to get or recreate the super soldier serum." - BUCKY

Steve was taken over by fear when he realized Tony was more endangered than anyone. It was much more interesting for them to get those files and studies, because this way they could make the quantity they wanted. It would be a catastrophe. Steve talks to Tony about his jealousy regarding the way Stephen treats him.

In a talk between Synthea and Kevin, they reveal they implanted a wire on Steve and a GPS on Tony when they attacked him in Russia and they planned to know the location of the cabin, because after listening they discovered that's where the files are.

During their stay at the farm where the ceremony was held, Steve found out that the car accident Tony was involved in at that time they were fighting wasn't an accident, Tony had tried to kill himself. Steve got really mad and said he couldn't trust Tony like that, because of this suicidal behaviour. In the end, they talked it over and it made them stronger, Tony promised to be more honest.

They were back to the tower, Tony called Steve in the middle of the night to tell him that he had hacked into S.H.I.E.L.D's system and found out that their first intention with Synthea wasn't to take away her powers, but to increase them to use her as a weapon for SHIELD, specially against HYDRA.They tortured her, tried to turn her into a soldier. Like HYDRA did to Bucky, but in an improved way, that allowed them to get her past memories and information.They couldn't complete it, her father got her back before they erased her memory... She remembers everything SHIELD did to her and her powers are improved.

Tony had to go to Stark Industries to work for a while, at the end of the day his secretary gave him a box that came for him from an anonymous source.It had photos in it. The first one was of Ultron destroying everything and then it had the names and small pictures of the people that died during this mess. Tony was at the edge of an anxiety crisis, but Steve called and he calmed down. More boxes with strong psychological contents to mess with Tony came during the week, but Stark decided not to share with anyone, not even Steve.

The next-to-last box had a bottle of whiskey in there and a note.

Your only friend. You are nothing more than a drunk Playboy. Instead of dealing with your problems, you drown them in alcohol. While people are dying because of you, you just hide behind a bottle of whiskey.

The last box was to push him over the edge.

DO WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE A LONG TIME AGO BUT NEVER HAD THE GUTS! MAYBE YOU COULD STOP HURTING EVERYONE.

Along with the note,as if it wasn't enough, there was a bottle of pills, a Swiss army knife, a bottle of vodka and a car key.All those ways Tony had tried before. Steve found Tony in his office,lying on the floor, a knife in his hand, his wrist cut. Steve called Stephen for help, who teleported them to the tower. Everybody had a part to help save Tony.

The secretary was in fact Loki shapeshifted.

CHAPTERS 43 to 63

Pepper had invited Steve and Tony to go to her house, because she needed to share some big news, she was pregnant, they were going to be uncles and they were the first to know, she also asked Tony and Steve to be the godfathers, which they were honored to be.

Some days before that Steve had called Natasha aside to talk to her, he had made a big decision and wanted to share with her. He decided he wanted to marry Tony, he was planning to propose soon. Little did he know that Tony told Bruce he was also planning to propose to Steve and even had transformed a vibranium ring that was a Stark Legacy for Steve.

After they left Pepper's house Bucky called asking for Steve's help, Sarah was extremely sick and needed to go to the hospital, but they didn't have anyone to leave the kids with. Tony offered his help even though Steve thought he wouldn't because of who was asking, but Tony was extremely generous and kind and even drove them to the hospital, got her the best care and he would cover the expenses, Bucky thanked Tony and made peace with him. This just made Steve see how much he wanted to spend his whole life with Stark.

Peter was missing, they located him through the GPS in his suit, but during this something happened to Pepper so Tony went to help her while Nath and Steve went to Peter. It pointed to a motel, but Steve only found some guy with a burned face. Meanwhile Tony freed Pepper from Loki's dagger, he warned him that what the others had planned for him was really bad and he should just give everything to him, typical Loki betraying the ones he was working with, Thor took him prisoner to interrogate him.

Peter was missing again, but now Tony had a lead on him, he found out that he was in fact in the hotel with Wade Wilson. When Steve and Natasha got there Synthea was keeping Wade hostage, faking it, so Peter would believe his lover was on his side, Peter was handcuffed to a chair.Natasha was able to extract Peter, but Steve was pinned down and got unconscious, Tony got there on time before more damage was Tony and carried Steve home with his armor.

Tony was angry as hell at Parker for everything but mostly for putting Steve in danger like that, he yelled at the kid, but later that night Steve convinced him to talk to the kid, who apologized over and over for disappointing his whole model. Parker wrote down all the information he got from Wade and gave it to Stark to regain his trust.

Peter received a video call that showed Wade trapped by some guys, no one was falling for that till they showed Pepper. They rushed to the place to find out everything was a set up, Pepper was actually Loki shapeshifted again. Steve and Tony got captured, had a heated argument with Wade, but he ended up helping them escape, they had to fight together till the rest of the team came to rescue them, Steve got out, but Tony ran back inside, when Steve later found out it was to recover his shield he was angry and yelled at Tony for risking his life for something materialistic.

CHAPTERS 63 to 79

Steve tagged along with Tony to Stark Industries party and afterwards they would go to the cabin, they were both planning to propose this weekend but neither of them knew. They spent romantic and sassy days together in the cabin. (STEVE PROPOSES TO TONY IN THE CHAPTER "Descending into madness").

Even though Steve had proposed before him Tony wouldn't give up doing his proposal too, they got back to the cabin, but when they were dancing the radio went crazy and out of nowhere Steve punched Tony. He hit Tony so much Tony was losing consciousness, but despite having a way to react Tony didn't cause he knew it would hurt Steve or possibly kill him, so he preferred to take the beat and die himself, but what hurt more was seeing Steve's face, even though he knew it wasn't him in charge. ( CHAPTER : Descending into madness)

They found Tony the next morning and when Steve was informed that they couldn't do anything to bring him back and they would keep him in cryogen his heart sank and his world fell. Steve wanted to know who had done that to his love, it was hard for Natasha and Thor to show him the images of himself beating up Tony to death. Steve lost control of himself and they had to take him down for 2 weeks. Pepper almost lost the baby after knowing about Tony and was at the hospital.

After 3 months being kept from seeing Tony Strange could sneak him in secretly, he saw Tony, broke down and Strange promised he was not going to give up on Stark. After some days, Steve tried to break into S.H.I.E.L.D to get Tony back, but he got caught and lost control again, so he was put down one more time for 2 weeks. They told Steve they had the lead on who was controlling him when he hurt Tony.

Stephen was risking everything for Tony and so were the others, Natasha, Bucky, Bruce, Thor and Clint. They were all risking their lives betraying S.H.I.E.L.D to help Tony, but Steve couldn't know everything they were doing cause his anxiety and lack of self control would probably ruin the whole thing. They had to do this because S.H.I.E.L.D didn't have Tony's best interest at heart, they wanted to use him as a weapon.

Fury put them all on a mission to keep them busy and off Tony's case. After Steve begged her Natasha showed Steve some of the people they had as suspects for Tony's case. During all this time while his friends were working to get Tony back preserved, but they couldn't tell Steve, Steve was violently trying to get to the people who made Tony get to this, he even killed, which he wasn't so fond of doing.

Steve found out what everyone was doing behind his back, he got mad and felt betrayed by his own friends, so he went missing for some time. When he decided to come back, Synthea Schmidt contacted him, revealed to him how she controlled him through the radio that night. She was making Steve believe it was his fault, he lost control and attacked her, she called him a monster and he felt like that indeed.

"Are you sure it was me or you just set free the real you? If Tony is not dead yet he's gonna wish he was, actually think of it as a favor, now he doesn't need to be with this freak that you are, always thinking you're so perfect, when you are the opposite" - SYNTHEA

Rogers wasn't feeling alive anymore so he decided it wasn't worth being alive, but when he was about to do it Wanda connected with him and Natasha's voice hit him, before she could finish talking the connection was lost.

Steve decided to come back to the tower, came there yelling about their betrayal, they explained why they couldn't tell him. He was about to leave when a familiar voice called.

TONY WAS ALIVE. Steve finally could feel his heartbeat after months. Tony was mostly fine, considering what he's been through, except for his legs that were sometimes failing. He talked to Steve to tell him he preferred to protect him over himself and that he knew it wasn't Steve in charge.

Both of them were having anxiety crises and panic attacks, especially during the nights, but now they got each other. Bruce and Stephen worked with Tony to recover his legs with shocks.

After some days Fury showed up to ask Tony to give an interview to a guy who claimed he knew something that was important for the symptoms Tony was experiencing. Tony couldn't believe everything he was going through was planned.

"Well, he says he has some secret information he really wants to confirm. Tony, you're a public figure, you can't just vanish" - Fury

"And why is this of S.H.I.E.L.D's interest again? " -TONY

"Well, they have some internal information about us, about Synthea Schmidt and more importantly about when you were in cryogen with us." - Fury

"Oh yeah, not being treated and everything. And people say I'm the one who produces weapons" - TONY

Tony agreed to do it, but for himself. They all tried to come up with strategies to keep Tony safe during the interview, Tony wanted to go by himself, no "guarding", Steve was pissed, but he knew Tony was stubborn. They realized during the briefing that Tony's legs did not fail anymore.
