TONY'S POV

It was Friday already and I was just reminded of my companie's big event.

I'm just sitting in my office suffering from antecipation because of the horror that those events are, talking to people who pretend to like me, kissing my ass, and that I already have one that does it really well.

"Oh Damnit"

I forgot I made plans to go to the cabin tonight with Steve.

"Call Steve Rogers" - I gave the command and his phone was dialed.

"Hey, what's up?" - he answered.

"What's up,Rogers? Are you on the street?" - I asked, cause it was unusual for him to talk like that especially with me.

"Yeah, I am. I'm helping Natasha with some stuff"

I heard Natasha in the background say "Hey Tones"

"So, listen, I mentioned it to you a while ago but I totally forgot about it in the last few days, my companie's party is tonight"

"Oh shoot" - he was so cute trying not to curse.

"Don't worry we'll just drive up to he cabin after the party, just get something nice for you to wear tonight,ok? It's a black tie event. Buy whatever you need, it's on me"

"Tony, you know I don't like you paying stuff for me like this. You are not a sugar daddy" - Steve said serious, he was serious.

I started laughing and I couldn't control myself.

"What?" - he asked.

"Where are you learning those things? Oh God, you're killing me" - My stomach was already aching from laughing.

"Very funny, ok! So do you think it's a good idea to be in a public event after what happened this week? I mean, at this point they're careless"

"I know, but I really have to be there. I understand if you choose not to come" - I said that, but I really needed him with me to get through this evening.

"I'll be there with you. We still have a lot to do so I'll talk to you later, alright?"

"Sure. Bye, cap"

I hung up the phone. Even in my own company I didn't feel safe to speak freely cause someone could hear or might be spying. Well, to have sex in the elevator we weren't so worried, but...

I smiled just remembering that, it was amazing. My secretary knocked on the door and I was driven off my thoughts.

"Come in"

Before I told the person to come in, I sent a text to Steve.

STEVE'S POV

"I feel like a drug dealer, where's this guy? "- Natasha was restless.

"Would you calm down? "

We came to pickup Tony's ring. The man was already 30 minutes late, but I wouldn't give up on this ring.

My phone chimed.

"Is It Tony again?" - Nath asked.

Buy anything you want for tonight and also for later tonight ;)

I couldn't help but smile. I was getting more anxious by the second.

We were hidden, wearing hoodies and sunglasses so no one would recognize us, sometimes I prefer how things were, when superheroes were anonymous and we could have our private lives.

Of course, Tony wouldn't have a private life even if he wasn't a hero and that would mean I wouldn't either.

Finally, the guy arrived.

"Hey, man, long time no see" - he said and gave me a hug.

"How have you been? This is Natasha, Nath this is Logan"

They shook hands.

"Here it is, man. I gotta say, after all this time I would never imagine you would trade this favor for a ring, of course it's no ordinary ring ,but... Well, who am I to judge? I wish you both happiness"

He gave me the small briefcase that carried the two sets of rings.

"Oh no, it's not me, I'm just his friend" - Natasha answered really quick.

"Oh, I'm sorry, my bad, ok, I'm not gonna bother you to know who the lucky lady is, I gotta go. It's nice to see you, captain" - he left a little embarrassed.

" He's a really curious man, you could just nod along. He will get on my nerves to know who it is"

"So? Do you not want people to know it's Tony?" - Natasha started interrogating.

"It's not that, we're superheroes, it will have huge repercussions" - I tried to avoid the subject as we walked towards the mall.

"Ok, but I'm a superhero too and you didn't seem to mind that he thought it was me"

I just stayed silent hoping for her to drop the subject.

"Steve, is it about your sexuality?"

"Yes, it is" - I finally answered cause she would not leave me alone.

"Do you think you don't like men? "

"I do love having sex and kissing Tony and I'm attracted to him 100%, I just need to be sure, so I can't hurt him in the future when I'm his husband"

"I understand, honey, you're just nervous about the proposal and the fact that you will get married, relax, I'll help you and everything is going to be fine" - Nath said and it actually calmed me down.

I want to show Tony the most security that I can and I also don't want him wondering if I prefer a woman over him, cause he's really insecure sometimes.

NATASHA'S POV

I would help Steve my way.

We went to a suit store and a saleswoman came to us right away.

"May I help you?"

She was almost drooling over Steve and I could see the other ones looking at him, he's pretty remarkable.

"I need a suit for a Black tie really fancy event"

The woman put her hands on him.

"Let's see you have broad shoulders and big strong arms..."

"Hey, dear, can't you tell by looking at him?"

She gave me a deadly look and walked away.

"Well, she's pretty" - I said and looked at Steve - "You didn't even check her out when she left"

"What?" - he was confused

"I'm doing your heterosexual test, honey, of course I have to remember your manners come from another century"

He was just rolling his eyes, but this would work, I know 100% Steve is gay, but he's too old and uptight to say it, and I understand, especially coming from his background and age.

Steve tried on the suits, we chose one and left the store.

"Come with me" - I said to him and we headed to our motorcycles.

I led the way to another part of town. I was almost sure people there would not recognize us that much, Steve put on a cap and sunglasses just to be sure and I did the same.

I looked for a store that had women as sales clerks.

"Take off your coat" - I said to Steve and he was confused. - "Trust me, take off your coat."

He did it, exposing his arms and torso, it would definitely work.

We got into the store and then again we were answered right away, it was a stunning woman. I picked a cosmetic store, cause they usually put pretty people to work there.

"How can I help you?" - she couldn't take her eyes of Steve's arms.

"I'm looking for a perfume , a soft one, but not so sweet" - I said and she didn't even look at me.

She left to look for it.

"Natasha, what are you doing?"

He asked annoyed, I just ignored and took off his sunglasses and cap.

No one recognized him, it was great, thank God he was not so public as Tony, well, not yet.

When the woman came back the look on her face was priceless. I know it would work, cause Steve was extremely polite with women and she would think he was flirting back.

"It was the last one we had, I pulled some strings just to get it for you"

"Thank you so much, you are very kind"

We were finishing our shopping, I took advantage to buy some make up for me and everything. She was talking and talking with Steve all the time.

When we were at the door, she was going to say goodbye.

"So, I hope I see you around more often, but if I don't, give me a call" - she gave him a card with her number.

"Listen, lady, I'm so sorry, I can't" - she was shook to her very core.

"Oh really? Are you two?"

"No, she's just my friend" - Steve said.

"I think it's just me then"

"No, lady, you're perfectly fine, I have a boyfriend" - when Steve said that I almost screamed and she almost fell down.

Her eyes were wide and she couldn't even say a word, so she just left.

"How was it?" - I asked as we walked back.

"I hate to admit it, you were right, it felt so good saying it, it was just nervousness about the proposal" - He said relieved and put one arm around me.

"You're welcome,baby. You're so gay, I know it"

"Don't push it though" - he said annoyed again.

We spent the rest of the day together, talked and had lunch, it was good to have a normal day and with him, I was feeling just how great Tony is in his life that it Changed a lot in Steve, he was willing to enjoy life and moments more than ever.

We got home and parked our motorcycles.

"Hey, so when are you going to ask me?" - I asked him and he got confused - "I sincerely hope I am going to be a bridesmaid"

"Of course you are, I was going to ask after the proposal, I didn't even ask the groom itself" - he smiled and I laughed.

"Oh my, speaking of which"

Tony just arrived in his car, he parked it so fast I was impressed.

"Hey, what are you two plotting?" - he came to us.

"To end you and take all your money"

He laughed and came closer to Steve.

"Hey, babe" - he said and got on tiptoe to give him a kiss on the lips.

"You two are so dreamy together" - I said and they smiled. - " Now I'm going to leave so you can be naughty together"

TONY'S POV

As soon as Natasha left I was taken by surprise, Steve pulled me close by the waist and kissed me roughly.

"Wow, we have to Start getting ready, or at least try" - I said breathing deeply and trying to get my mind in place again after that kiss.

We went upstairs, got everything ready to go to the cabin for the weekend, and got ready to go to the party.

"You look so hot, I really can't get used to how handsome you are" - I checked out Steve and he just blushed.

"Look who's speaking" - he pulled me by the waist and put his lips close to my ear. - " You look tasty"

"How's that?"

"Makes me wanna eat you, which I'm gonna do later" - he keeps whispering to my ear.

My whole body got shivers, I felt my knees fail.

STEVE ROGERS?

At least I prepared myself for the weekend. Oh God.

We got into my car and left.

"Are we going in together?" - He asked me, while we were on the way.

"Yeah, honey, I hope that soon enough this won't be a secret anymore, if everything goes well" - I said too much. - " So, don't get scared, cause I'll be a little different than you're used to, sometimes I have to pretend some laughs and stuff in front of these people."

I tried to get away from the subject so he wouldn't suspect anything.

"Ok, as long as I have the real Stark by the end of the night just for me, I can take a few hours of this one" - he kissed me on the lips as I stopped the car.

I took a deep breath and we exited the car.

STEVE'S POV

Everyone came towards him when we got out of the car, so many flashes, reporters and he was just dealing with it with grace, I didn't care about anyone around us, people were trying to talk to me, cause of course they would recognize me there, but I was just too focused on Tony, his personality outshines.

After like 30 minutes of chaos we finally got in. It was really fancy and so huge, people kept staring at us every step we took, I imagine how it would be if they knew we're dating.

I had to pretend as much as him during the party, I understand now what he said about having to fake, some people were hard to talk to. Tony is the big hit of everywhere he goes.

"Hey, I need to prepare everything for my speech, ok? You mind if I leave you alone for a minute?" - he asked me.

"I think I'll survive" - I replied, even though I didn't believe I would survive with those people.

So many women were hitting on him, it was so annoying and I was getting nervous with this, even more cause I couldn't say or do anything about it. I was being hit on all the time too, but it was more annoying to me seeing him get hit on.

"Hello, what is this angel doing alone?" - A woman came up to me, I just inhaled deeply.

It was so different back in my time.

"Hi" - I answered politely.

"So, can I keep you company? My name is Scarlett, by the way" - she introduced herself.

"I'm Steve" - I was going to give her a handshake but she kissed my cheek.

"Nice to meet you,Steve"

She spent 30 minutes talking about boring stuff I wasn't even paying attention anymore, I was just agreeing and dodging when she tried to make a move or touch me, which she did, A LOT.

That's when it hit me. This was probably some scheme Natasha was doing to "help" me as she said earlier.

"Could you excuse me for a second?" - I excused myself and went to the restroom.

I washed my face trying to get those painful minutes off of me and called Natasha, she picked up right away.

"What the heck is that?"

"What,Steve?" - she answered confused.

"Natasha, drop the act, this girl's been hitting on me shameless all evening, you loved your point, just ask her to leave me alone" - I was so annoyed, it's a hard thing to get me to my limit, I'm a military man, for God's sake.

"Steve, I really don't know what you're talking about. Could just realize you're hot and they are going to do that naturally? Was it just get hitting on you?

"No, it wasn't. Hmm, ok, I'm sorry." - I apologized.

"Ok, just be honest and say you're not interested" - she said.

"Yeah, I think I can do that. Thanks Tasha, sorry for bothering" - I hung up the phone and took a deep breath to go back out there.

She was just outside waiting.

"Listen, Mrs. Scarlett, you're a very nice lady and everything, but..." - when I was going to finish the sentence she threw herself at me and kissed me.

I pushed her away as soon as I realized what was happening.

"Hey" - Surprisingly, she was outraged.

"I don't even know you and also I'm committed"

"Well, I don't see any ring" - she was still trying to convince me, now I was outraged.

"Not yet, but listen my partner is very jealous and will kick your ass, also, I'm not interested"

She just widened her eyes and opened her mouth, surprised and then left snorting.

"I bet he's gay" - she said while leaving.

You bet right, lady! I thought to myself and let a little smile scape.

I heard people shouting and figured out it was time for Tony's speech. I wouldn't miss it for the world.

"Hello, ladies and gentlemen, I first want to thank everyone for coming, especially, Jeremy Harper, the gentleman over there, Kate Willer, that fine lady on the right and everyone one from the Harper foundation that made this day possible and well, me, I'm not gonna introduce myself, cause you Know who I am" - he blinked at the crowd, it was so natural and beautiful the way he talks in public, I was hypnotized.

"He's so dreamy" - I overheard two women talking to each other about Tony. I totally agree of course.

His speech was ending.

"So, I'd like to officialize this partnership with Harper Hospitals Foundation, it makes me happy to do more for people the best way I know, with technology. Thank you all for coming, enjoy the rest of the party, it's on me"

He raised his glass and everyone applauded for whole minute on their feet.

"Guy makes his money selling destructive arsenal and now wants to 'help' people with health, hypocrite" - A man talked to me.

"You know, just because he built weapons doesn't mean he doesn't care about people, if you support the US army and it's criticizing weapons, well, that's hypocrite. Excuse me for a second" - I said and left him there angry.

Tony met me after he left the stage, which wasn't an easy task cause everyone wanted to congratulate him for the speech. But after sometime he managed to scape them and come to me.

"I'm so sorry, it's taking that long" - he said to me.

"Sorry? I was able to watch you do your magic" - I said smiling.

"My magic?"

"Yeah, enchanting people" - I said and he smiled embarrassed.

"Well, did I enchant you?" - he whispered to me.

"More so than anyone" - I smiled back to him.

"Let's get away from here, c'mon"

"But don't you have to stay till the end of the party?"

"I don't care, I have more important priorities now" - he smile and I smiled back.
