3rd PERSON POV

Steve could not leave Tony's side or stop staring at him and the same for Tony, the short one was looking to the blonde like he had been reborn, which wasn't a lie, but he only felt it when he saw Steve.

Everyone was around, looking at them, relieved that Tony was back, Bruce and Stephen were still in the lab. The bell rang and JARVIS announced Pepper.

She ran into the room desperate and threw herself on Tony to hug him at the couch, even before they could say anything both started crying.

"I missed you so much, don't you dare leave us again, Stark or I'll damn your soul for eternity" - she said looking in Tony's eyes then hugged him again.

Rhodes cleared his throat, he was holding little Tony.

"Oh my God, Pepper" - Tony got up with a glow on his eyes.

"This is your godson"- Pepper said and Rhodes handed the baby do Tony.

"Oh my God, you're so beautiful, I'm gonna spoil you so much. I'm your gay uncle and godfather, I'm the one who is going to spoil you the most when mommy and daddy aren't around " - Tony was talking to baby Tony with a cute voice that made Steve melt, his smile was wide.

"Oh my, I forgot to ask, what's his name?" - Tony asked

"His name is Tony"- Pepper said smiling and Tony had to sit down, still holding the baby.

He started crying so much, the tears were falling fast from his eyes.

"I can't believe you guys did it. Oh my God,kid you're screwed" - He joked, as usual bad everyone laughed.

"Can I get some of Tony for me, just for some moments, Steve?" - Pepper asked and Steve nodded.

"I'll take shower" - he said, but kissed Tony before

"Baby in the room, people, watch your tongues" - Pepper joked pretending to close her eyes.

Steve went downstairs while Tony stayed with Pepper, Rhodes and baby Tony.

TONY'S POV

"He's perfect, so perfect" - I said looking at his peaceful face.

It was like fresh air, like my body relaxed and I calmed down everything in me. Now I understand, when they say that it's a kind of unconditional love that strikes you and you can't explain, it's different.

"He's so beautiful, I can't even believe it came from me" - Rhodes said.

"Yeah, me neither" - I joked and they laughed.

Everyone left to give us privacy.

"How are you feeling,honey? " - Pepper asked with her hand on my thigh.

"I still don't know, honestly, but I feel alive and I feel myself, that's the most important by now, thank you all for not giving up on me. "

"We would never give up on you. And will be by your side whatever it takes" - Pepper said.

"When Steve walked in, my whole body could rest, it was like feeling full again and I'm sure we'll face together anything that comes" - I said getting a little emotional.

Steve had been my rock since always and we would win and conquer anything we need to be together.

"Wow, you're really crazy about him, aren't you? Seems quite serious" - Pepper asked with a silly smile.

"Pretty much, that's why I'm marrying him" - I said and laughed, but stopped as soon as I realized Pepper's mad expression, I haven't told her about my plans.

" And when did you decide that?" - she asked really mad.

"Don't be mad at me, but months before the accident,but you were all busy with the pregnancy so I didn't want you to be anxious" - I tried to explain myself, but of course, it didn't work.

"You're luck I can't hate you right now, because I missed you so damn much."

"Actually he proposed first, in the night that everything happened"

"So you guys are already engaged" - She shouted

"Shh, all those things happened after that, he's probably not even thinking about it right now, so I will take the opportunity to propose myself"

"You really have to control every situation" - she said smiling.

"Yeah I do"  - I laughed with her.

"Well, hope he does too, here comes your lucky groom" - she said and looked to the stairs.

I saw Steve coming down.

"Wow" -I just gasped

He removed his beard when and cut his hair a little, probably Natasha had something to do with it. His appearance was refreshing, vibrant like always and also... SO HOT.

I felt my body trembling inside, which was weird but also good.

"Now he's another man" - Natasha came into the room smiling.

"Well,I'll let you rest and enjoy your love, I'll catch up with you later" - Pepper said and Gave me a peck on the cheek

She got little Tony and left with Rhodes.

STEVE'S POV

He was looking at me so intensely I probably blushed. Now everyone was at the living room again, talking to Tony, I wasn't speaking, I was already satisfied with seeing him there alive.

I saw he was getting really tired and it was late.

"Well, you should probably rest, huh?" - I said and he agreed.

"Tony, stay in the room downstairs it's better for you at least for now" - Strange said.

"I want to stay in my room so badly"

"I can take him upstairs and get him down whenever he wants " - I offered.

I was going to do anything to make him happy.

"I really don't think it will work and..." - Stephen started talking again and I lost it

"Well, it will and I really don't care what you..." - Tony didn't let me finish, he placed his hand on my thigh and I automatically stopped.

I snapped for no reason, I realized I was broken now, what if Tony didn't like this thing I became?

Everyone went to sleep.

"Ready to go up?" - I was going to pick him up but he stopped me.

"I want to try to walk, can you help me?"- he looked at me so cute I couldn't say no.

I understood, he wanted to recover control of himself.

I just stayed by his side. He was walking normally, fine. We started climbing the stairs, he was doing great.

"You're doing amazing,honey" - I said to give him confidence.

Suddenly his legs failed but I caught him by the waist. He was angry.

"Don't be mad, it's going to pass really soon" - I said and he continued walking with me supporting him by the waist.

We got to the bedroom and he got himself to the bed.

"Hey, aren't you coming?" - he asked cause I was taking too long at the door.

I was afraid. Afraid he was going to be scared of me, I hurt him.

"Talk to me, please, I miss talking to you"

"I'm sorry" - I couldn't help myself.

I started crying so much uncontrollably.

"I hurt you and I don't want to hurt you again and I don't want you to be afraid of me" - I said and sat by his side.

My chest hurt. He put his hand on mine and I looked at him.

"Steve, the person that hurt me more in my whole life is myself. You're the person that healed me, you saved me." - he said and started to cry too. - " There's something I need you to know, that night, I had the chance to save myself"

"What? And why didn't you do it?" - I was confused.

"Because I would have to hurt you or kill you, but I preferred to save you, because I love you more. I know you would have done the same if you had the choice, but you couldn't because I know that wasn't you, it was not your fault, but we're going to find whoever fault this is and let them know they do not mess with this couple"
