STEVE'S POV

"Do you mind staying with her so I can have lunch?" - Bucky asked, he didn't leave her side at any moment and I understand that.

"Sure" - I answered and he left.

"How are the kids ?" - I asked.

"They're fine, they just don't understand what's going on and keep asking when we're coming home" - she was sad, more about not being with her children than being at the hospital.

It was surprisingly sad how fast her appearance went from a beautiful young looking woman to the look she had now, sad and faded.

"If you need anything just tell me, we had a great time together, Tony loved them" - I said and she smiled.

Right after, Tony walked into the room followed by a doctor.

"Sarah, this is doctor Walsh, he's in the city for a couple of days and he's the best in diagnosis, so I asked him to take a look at you, is it ok?" - Tony said smiling.

"Doctor Walsh, this is Sarah Barnes and Steve Rogers" - Tony introduced us and I shook his hand.

"Tony always exaggerating. I can't say no to that man" - he said and grabbed Tony's shoulder.

I won't lie, I was feeling jealous. He was a good looking man, tall, black hair, green eyes and the way he looked at Tony and touched him really bothered me.

"Well, we'll give you some privacy and come back later. Thanks, Frank" - Tony called him by the first name and then the doctor rubbed his back.

I left the room with Tony and we stood in the hallway.

"So, doctor Walsh" - I said and he looked at me.

"He's great, I'm sure he'll find out what she has" - he said that smiling, I just looked away. - "what's wrong?"

"Nothing" - I said without looking at him.

I didn't want to sound jealous, but I couldn't be quiet.

"Are you serious?"

"You say you know when someone is interested in me. I know when someone is interested in you"

I was the less experienced in this whole relationship field,but I was getting better at it.

He didn't answer.

"Are you ok?" - I asked, cause I was noticing since earlier that he wasn't.

"I'm fine" - he said it, but I knew he was lying.

"Are you really going to shut me out, Tony?" - I was upset.

He took a deep breath and looked up.

"Honestly, I'm not ok "

I didn't know how to react, because Tony was always a closed casket, even with me about how he was, he always likes to pretend he is alright and puts this barrier on to be "strong", always trying to be strong in everything for everyone, that's why he carries that much on his shoulders.

"I'm sorry" - he said, cause I was quiet for a long moment.

"No. That's not it." - I said and held his shoulders. We noticed that a nurse looked at us so I let him go of my hands. - " Can we go somewhere quiet later? So we can talk"

He nodded positively and walked into the room. After a couple of minutes Dr Walsh came out.

"Hey, Steve, right?" - he came to me. - " Do you happen to know if Tony is dating anyone?"

I couldn't believe it. I took a deep breath to control myself.

"I don't know" - I answered straight and looked away.

"Do you think I'd have a chance? I wanted to ask him out for a long time. I don't know if he's into guys, but it's worth the shot"

Of course he is worth everything.

I crossed my arms and looked at him. Was he stupid not to see I didn't want to talk?

"I don't think so, man. Tony is all about the women." - I shrugged and the sad look on his face was priceless.

He left without saying a word.

"Hey, man, what happened?" - Bucky asked me where he arrived.

"Doctor was asking me if Tony was available" - I rolled my eyes and he laughed. - " At least he was here to help Sarah, hope he finds out something"

"Oh my, me too. If it helps let him sleep with Tony, please. For me." - he said and I punched his arm.

Tony came out of the room.

"Can we go?" - I asked him.

"Yeah. Barnes, Frank is going to run some other exams on Sarah, hopefully he'll find the reason soon"

"Thank you so much, Stark. I don't even know how to thank you"

"Don't, please"

That conversation was really confusing and strange for me.

We left the hospital and I followed him on my motorcycle. We got to a quiet beach, no one at sight.

I stopped by his car and got down, when he left the car my first instinct was pressing him against it and kissing him deeply.

He was caught by surprise,but kissed me back immediately. For a moment all I could feel or think about was the kiss.

We broke away and put our foreheads together, his phone rang.

"Damnit" - he muttered.

"Decline it" - I whispered in his ear making him shiver.

He did it and looked at me.

" I miss you" - I said and hugged him tight.

"But I'm here"

"I know, but I miss being with you alone, having time for us, actually we never had that completely" - I finished the sentence and his phone rang again. - " Oh my God"

"We're superheroes, unfortunately we can't decline so many calls" - he was pissed off, but answered it anyway.

After a while he hung up with a worried look on his face.

"What is it? What happened?"

"Its something with Pepper and Peter is in trouble too. I'll go check on her and you go to Peter, Natasha is on her way to help you."

"And who is going with you?" - I couldn't let him be harmed again.

"I don't know, honey, but I'll be fine. I love you" - he said and gave me a brief kiss before he got to the car and left.

3rd PERSON POV

Tony got to Pepper's house really fast. It was quiet.

"Rhodes? Pepper?" - Tony shouted, but no one answered.

He suited up the armor, now it was always at his disposal. He got into the house carefully and was soon hit on the head, that was still without the helmet.

Tony got over control and turned around ready to shoot.

"Finally, we meet again"

He had Pepper's belly on the edge of a dagger.
