As Maze, Hope, Molly, Jesse and Alaric stood around the answering machine, Landon's voice was booming through it. "Hey, Ric. Sorry to take off like that, but I just needed a little time. So I'm going camping for a while."

Mazikeen and Hope share confused glances, as they continued to listen. "Hopefully I can catch up on classwork later. Tell Raf and Jed hi for me."

Molly signed the conversation to Jesse, who looked confused. "Jed? Why would he say hi to Jed?" Jesse signed back, as Jed and Landon didn't get along at all... Anybody knew that. "You should go after him. Something doesn't make sense." Hope suggested as Mazikeen nodded, agreeing.

"Maze... Hope..."

"No— Hope's right. Triad already tried to come for him once. It's not safe for him out there." Molly declared, as Alaric frowned at his best friend. "Mum has a point, Dr Saltzman we should do something about this." Jesse signed, before crossing his arms.

"You guys just heard it from Landon yourselves, he's okay." Alaric assured them as they all frowned at him.

Molly sighed, clicking a button on the answering machine to replay the voice message, so she could listen to it again.

"Hey, Ric, sorry to take off like that, but I just needed a little time, so I'm going camping for a while." Landon's voice could be heard again.

"I can hear..." Molly trailed off, using her super hearing. Everyone stayed quiet so she could concentrate.

"Hopefully, I can catch up on classwork later."

The vampire declared, "...shoes on a tile floor. An air conditioner running."

"Tell Raf and Jed hi for me."

"Keycards being swiped. Mm, Triad. I mean, it has to be them. They've already tried to come for the poor boy once." The woman insisted.

Mazikeen stretched out her arms before she said, "It's time to kick some Triad ass and get my best friend back."

Hope, Maze, Jade and Rafael were outside, noticing that the boy was irritable. "Hey Raf, you okay?" Jade asked as Rafael turned to the member of his pack, "Um... my mind still won't settle down. Look, I'm sorry, but I can't join the fight." He admitted as Jade's expression softened. "Don't worry, we're not going alone." She said. "The Avengers are assembling." Maze announced proudly.

With that being said, Kaleb, Lizzie, Ari, Josie, Jesse and Jed walk over, all looking ready to go and help find Landon.

Josie and Lizzie look at eachother, before snapping, "She's coming?!" As they had been at eachother's throats for the past couple of days. Josie then looked to Mazikeen, who she'd also been angry with. "I am not doing this." She decided.

"We need all the help we can get." Ari exclaimed, standing beside Jade as Hope looked between the Saltzmans before saying, "So please put your triplet war on pause."

Rafael looked to Jed, frowning, "Why is he going? He hates Landon." He asked. Jed faced Rafael, "Look, you're the Alpha. If Landon's your pack, that makes him ours." He assured the Waithe.

"Where's MG at?" Kaleb asked. "He's on his way. Let's load up while we wait for him. Come on."

The group go to exit the Salvatore school but Lizzie stopped. Everyone else then stopped as they looked up to see a group of men in armed suits, guns and they could only imagine a lot more weapons on them.

Jade protectively stood in front of her brother before she asked sternly. "Who the hell are you?"

"Oh, sorry. We were about to knock. Name's Burr. Triad Industries." One of them answered, as Hope, who was protectively standing in front of Maze, waved her hand. "Propellere." She said a spell, but nothing happened.

"I got this." Kaleb declared, about to vampire speed forward, but found that he couldn't. The Hawkins then felt his skin burn at the touch of the sun. "What the fuck.." Jade hissed in surprise, once Kaleb is back in the shade.

"What you don't got is magic. Which is why your daylight ring won't work. And what we have are stakes, wolfsbane... and other things. So I think you should invite us inside." Burr insisted, as Hope and Maze share worried glances, as do Jade and Ari.

Once invited inside Burr explained, "We're looking for an artifact known as the Chalice of Arimathea. We have reason to believe it's part of your school's collection. Now, you know this place a lot better than we do, so the sooner you help us find it, the sooner we'll be gone... Triad thanks you for your time."

Hope, Lizzie, Maze, Josie and Jesse rush into Alaric's office, trying to find the school phone. They find Jade and Ari in the office, already searching.

"Check MG's tighty-whities." Lizzie huffed as Mazikeen snorted in response, though Hope, Ari and Josie deadpanned the pair. "Really? This is serious." Josie grumbled. Lizzie frowned at her sister, "Oh, I'm sorry. We can't all be born with resting concerned pouty face."

Jade and Hope look at a shelf, before Jade asked, "Didn't this shelf used to have books on it?" The group all turn to the shelf, as Ari blinked in surprise, "Yeah. That's weird." She replied.

"Whatever they're doing to block our magic must have knocked out a cloaking spell your dad had." Hope declared as Mazikeen sighed, "What a shocker. Dad's hiding something from us." She huffed. "Unless it has the school phone in it, It doesn't matter." Jesse declared, signing impatiently.

With the recent discovery of the Gemini twin merge, Josie and Lizzie had been at eachothers throats. Mazikeen had gotten dragged into it, as Josie was annoyed at the blonde also. The three Saltzman girls started bickering, as Hope, Jade, Ari and Jesse continued to search for the school phone.

"God Mazikeen— you're not even my sister!" Josie suddenly snapped, as everyone fell quiet. Maze scoffed, "Okay, I know we're fighting but that's pretty fucking harsh." She responded.

Josie sighed heavily, as Lizzie and Maze looked confused at her. "No I... You're not actually my sister, or Lizzie's." The brunette reluctantly said, cursing herself for blurting the truth out like that. "What the hell are you talking about?" Mazikeen suddenly snapped, confused by this sudden statement.

"Hey, guys. Found it." Hope announced, holding it up. "You guys, continue your triplet fight later." Jade ordered, as Hope then dialled Alaric's phone number, before putting it on speaker phone. Mazikeen eyed Josie, not wanting to let her accusation go, but she cared about finding Landon more than whatever this was.

Within moments, the headmasters voice is heard booming through the phone, Molly beside him. "Whoever this is gets extra credit."

"It's Hope. Triad's here." Hope explained as Alaric seems worried, "Is everyone okay?" Mazikeen then huffed, "Yeah, but our powers are gone." Alaric frowned, "What do they want?" He asked, seeming puzzled. "They said that the third artifact is in the school somewhere." Jade explained.

"You're kidding."

"The Chalice of Arithmetic or something? I don't know, Any idea?" Hope asked as Alaric is heard asking Dorian about it. "Uh, listen, I, uh... I've got to find my way into the school. But just promise me you're not gonna do anything crazy." Alaric pleaded.

The group all shared looks before Maze spoke up. "We're not the only ones in danger. Landon is, too." She insisted as Hope nodded before saying, "We can't just stand here and do nothing."

"Maze, Hope, for once in your life, will you please just listen to me? If Triad wants the chalice, help them get the chalice. You don't have your powers. You are vulnerable, and if you try to resist, someone could get hurt. Do you understand me?" He demanded.

Hope sighed, "Yeah."

The call soon ended, as everyone looked to Hope. "So, what do we do now?" Lizzie asked. "Now we figure out a way to get our powers back, and we kick some paramilitary ass." Mazikeen spoke up before Hope could, trying to push Josie's earlier statements to the back of her mind as they needed to focus on the task at hand.

"Wait, Dad said not do anything crazy." Josie sighed. "Us defying your Dad isn't crazy. It's consistent." Hope said, referring to herself and Maze, as they seemed to defy Alaric often.

"Well, at least we know where you stand."

The group turned around to see Burr. "You're damn right we do." Hope hissed as Burr looked surprised, "You're not very scared of me, are you?" He admitted, before holding up a gun, aiming it at the group. "How about now?"

"That's your plan? You're gonna shoot a fucking kid?" Mazikeen asked bluntly, as Burr turned to her. "This gun would never harm a human child. but you five, however... These bullets were formed from the mud of the Malivore pit and weaponized by Triad scientists. They can break the skin of any supernatural like a hot knife through butter. Fester. Infect them. Disintegrate them from the inside out."

"We don't know where the chalice is." Josie confessed, trying not to seem scared, and hoping this meant the man would leave them alone. "I believe you. This is just for fun, really." Burr declared, before aiming the gun as each of the group members, one by one, as they all looked terrified "Eeny...meeny...miney..."

"Moe." Lizzie insisted, rushing forward to be the target, to take the bullet instead of it possibly hurting others, but before anyone can react, Josie pushed Lizzie out of the way. The gun fired, the bullet shooting Josie in the chest.

"Jo!" Ari screamed, rushing forward to grab her. The siphoner fell into the witch's arms. Lizzie and Mazikeen rushed over to their sister, trying to keep it together. "It's okay... it's okay it's okay—"

"Lock them up." Burr ordered other men, as group look at the men approaching them.

The group now sat in a cell. "What the hell is wrong with you?" Lizzie hissed at Josie, filling the silence. "With me? You practically begged him to shoot you." Josie growled back. "Because, If I'm destined to die in my prime, It may as well be in a blaze of hero glory."

Josie frowned before saying, "You are unbelievably selfish." To which Lizzie responded, "Who took it upon herself dive in front of my bullet? I thought your codependent days were over."

"A regrettable relapse."

"Ugh will you both just shut the fuck up?!" Mazikeen huffed, growing frustrated now. "Maybe instead of yelling at eachother, Josie can try and explain to me how the hell we supposedly aren't sisters!" The blonde seethed, visibly hurt by the statement, but also thinking it was completely bullshit.

Josie sighed, "Maze..."

"No. I know how this goes. This is usually the part where you tell me I'm being crazy. But I'm not being crazy... I just want an explanation." The Saltzman said, tears stinging her eyes as she looked like she wanted to cry.

Alaric, Caroline, Lizzie and Josie were her family, and it was all she'd ever known. To have one of her sisters claim that they weren't even sisters, seemed hurtful to her. She wanted an explanation.

Josie sat up, facing Maze as she looked at her apologetically. Lizzie eyed Josie curiously, wondering where her earlier statement had come from. Hope looked between the sisters, concern on her face.

"You're not Jo Laughlin's daughter, Maze." Josie said, before she inhaled. Reluctantly, she finally said, "You're Kai Parker's daughter."

Hope, Jade, Ari and Jesse— who had lipread every word, all looked completely shocked.

Lizzie scoffed, "Jo... what kind of sick joke is this?" She asked her sister. "Lizzie, I'm being serious." Josie said quietly to the blonde.

Everyone looked at Maze, unsure how she would react to this claim. The blonde just... laughed.

She didn't just giggle, she laughed hysterically. Everyone looked confusedly at the girl, who wiped a tear away from her eye.

"Jo, you're so funny. Telling me, the sister you believe is crazy, is actually the daughter of a complete and utter psychopath. Okay, that is funny... kind of cruel... but I had a good laugh." Mazikeen admitted, in between chuckles, but by the guilty look on Josie's face, everybody else knew it had to be true.

"Babe..." Hope said softly, reaching out to place a hand on her girlfriend's shoulder.

"Maze— I'm being serious." Josie spoke up, "Mum and Dad adopted you once Kai was put in a prison world. They wanted to raise us together, and to believe that we're triplets." She added.

Josie could tell that Mazikeen still wasn't believing this, or more so that she was refusing to believe it.

"I can prove it to you." Josie sighed, thinking back to the book Penelope had given her before she left. It was a journal that contained everything everyone had written in their own diaries.... It was how Jo learnt about the merge, but also how she learnt that Mazikeen Saltzman was actually Mazikeen Parker.

Mazikeen opened her mouth to speak, but suddenly the guard spoke up, "Hey! Keep it quiet in there." Causing Lizzie to glare at him. "We're not in the prison yard, asshat." She hissed.

Hope put an arm around Mazikeen, who she knew was in denial about the whole thing... to be fair, they'd only recently found out that Josie had made up some horrible lies to cause a rift between Hope and Lizzie, so with that being fresh Maze was pretty reluctant to believe her.

"I'm so sorry..." Hope began. "I mean, I dragged you all into this, and I have absolutely no idea how to get us out of it." Lizzie faced Hope now, "Well, that is just not good enough, Hope. My sister is clearly dying, and we did not wait ten years to become friends with you for you to not come through with your annoyingly perfect Hope Mikaelson heroics when we need you the most."

"She's right, for a change. It's hero time, Hope." Josie agreed, before Jade, Ari and Jesse nodded in agreeance.

Hope then looked to Mazikeen, with a smile as if she was waiting for her input. Maze smiled lovingly at the Mikealson, though her smile was a little smug. The blonde kissed Hope's cheek before she said, "Time to suit up."

"I said keep it down in there." The guard growled, before suddenly falling unconscious. The confused group look to see that MG had just walked in, MG had just blown a dart at him. "Did someone say hero time?" MG then asked, with a grin on his face.
