𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐲-𝐨𝐧𝐞. falling to pieces

Jade and Hope had been remembered, but Jade Hale was no longer. Hope entered the school, holding Jade's body in her arms. Tears rolled down her cheeks, as she held the Hale close.

Molly and Jesse had been the first ones to see Jade's lifeless body, after Hope of course. The Hale woman felt time freeze, as her eyes landed on her daughter. An indescribable grief filled Molly, as she rushed to Hope and took her daughter in her own arms.

Jesse was next to react, as he had been frozen in shock for a moment. Ever since he could remember, he'd always had Jade by his side. Even when they were stuck in their wolf forms, Jade didn't leave his side. He didn't know how he was supposed to live without her.

Hope watched, tears running down her face as Molly held Jade, sobbing. "My baby... my baby girl, no... come back to me." The oldest Hale cried, as Jesse stood by his mother's side, still in shock.

That was several days ago.

The school was on high alert for Chasity Smith, and Molly and Jesse in particular were desperate to find her, as were Jed and his werewolf pack.

Upon Maze's disappearance and Jade's death, Ari suddenly dabbled in black magic, and it was clearly consuming her. Josie and some of the witches had been at her aid, trying to help her.

Currently, Lizzie and Clary sat at the Mystic Grill.  The pair were drinking from their respective milkshakes, as they were trying to come up with a way to find Mazikeen.

After several failed ideas, Lizzie looked disappointedly as she drank her strawberry milkshake. Clary looked sadly at the girl she was crushing on, before she reached out and placed her hand ontop of Lizzie's.

"I'm so sorry Lizzie." The O'Connell spoke, as Lizzie's teary eyes looked up at Clary. "I just want my sister back." She managed to say, her voice shaking.

"We can't find her... Hope and I have tried everything." The Saltzman sighed, "Maybe we need to solve this Chasity problem first and then come back to it." Clary suggested, though she knew Lizzie wouldn't want to stop looking for Maze.

"I'm not giving up on Maze." Lizzie instantly said, as Clarissa's expression softened into a smile, "I'm not saying to give up on Maze, but the school has a big threat at the moment that can be destroyed if we put the time into it."

"Also... what did you mean, we?" The Saltzman asked, as Clary smiled at Lizzie. "I know I'm not magical or anything, but I don't plan on leaving your side. I'm with you, through all of this." The O'Connell insisted, causing Lizzie's expression to melt into a loving smile.

Hope then approached the table, which caused the blondes to stop gazing into eachother's eyes. "Are you two on a date?" The tribrid asked, as both Clary and Lizzie blushed. "No!" They both stammered.

"Then where was my invite?" Hope then huffed dramatically, clearly still stressed about Mazikeen. "Hope.. you look exhausted." Clary stated, glancing at her sister figure. "When was the last time you properly slept?" She then asked.

"Um... I closed my eye for a couple of seconds?" Hope said as Lizzie frowned, "Are you describing blinking?" She asked, as Hope looked a little sheepish.

Clarissa had an idea, and looked to Hope. "Why don't we discuss this back at the school?" She asked, as Hope raised and eyebrow, looking inquisitively at the girl before she sighed. "Fine."

Now back at the school, Clary and Lizzie lead Hope towards her dorm. Hope entered her room before she looked at the blondes, who were still standing outside.

"Well, come inside, so we can discuss." Hope ordered, before Lizzie placed her hand on the wall of the school and siphoned. She then mumbled a spell under her breath, causing the door to slam shut.

"Lizzie!!" Hope demanded, before she rushed at the door and tried to open it. "Open the door!" She yelled.

"Hope, you need to rest!" Clary called back, as Lizzie stood back by the O'Connell's side. "We're doing this for your own good." Lizzie then added.

"Why don't you both go fuck yourselves!" Hope yelled at them in anger, as Clary and Lizzie tried to both hold back a laugh.

"We'll be back in six hours, have a good nap!" Clary called back, before Lizzie took the blonde's hand and the pair went to walk away from the dorm.

"Wait!" Hope called out, almost as a cry for help. Clary instantly stopped, and turned back to face the dorm, belonging to her sister.

"Clary... can you stay with me? I... don't want to be alone." Hope managed to say. Clary looked to Lizzie, and the Saltzman gave a nod, to let her know that she would be able to step through the barrier.

"I'll see you later." Clary said to Lizzie, giving her a smile that caused Lizzie to melt. "Okay." The Saltzman responded, before they parted ways.

Molly wandered down the hallway, passing the common room where Landon and Jesse sat. After another busy day of working more on their Chasity issue, Landon and Jesse were watching Star Wars: The Clone wars, with subtitles on for Jesse to read.

They were cuddled together on the couch, with Jesse leant against Landon, as the Kirby kept his arms around him. The Hale was dozing on and off, exhausted by the past few days... he was struggling with grief upon losing Jade, and he' d been exhausting himself with this Chasity situation.

Landon had been patient with Jesse, and had been by his side the entire time. Molly was really grateful to have the raven haired boy in their lives, as he truly was Jesse' soulmate.

The older Hale walked down the corridor, noticing Alaric. "Hey." She greeted, as Alaric smiled upon seeing her.

Truthfully, before all of this mess, Molly found herself falling for Alaric... but after seeing how harshly she treated Mazikeen... she found herself quickly losing those feelings.

"How is Ari going? I see Josie has been really worried." Molly spoke, as Alaric looked to her. "She's placed all of her dark magic into a Mora Miserium and now we're going to send it away." He said to his best friend.

Molly nodded, though she refused to meet his eye. "Can you at least look at me?" Alaric asked, as Molly rolled her eyes before she faced the Saltzman.

"I just lost my daughter, Ric. And I feel like I'm falling to pieces." The Hale began, "Meanwhile you sent yours away somewhere without telling anybody, and you don't have a single care in the world."

Alaric sighed, "Molly, Mazikeen wasn't my biological—"

"Neither was Jade! She was my adoptive daughter, as Mazikeen was yours. We adopted them which means we chose to protect them, and you failed." Molly insisted, before she stomped away, leaving an exasperated Alaric.

He shook his head, deciding not to retaliate and just leave it and go supervise Emma and the witches, as they were sending away the Mora Miserium full of Ari's dark magic, to the very prison world that he sent Mazikeen and the Parker family too.

Before he could leave the corridor, he vanished into thin air. Little did he know, so did Lizzie and Josie... at the hands of Alyssa and Bianca.
