"mommy, can you read me a bedtime story?"

soojin smiled softly at her daughter, gently running a hand over anhe's bangs and tickling her nose. "of course, my little lovebug.

"let's see~" soojin teased as she ran a finger along the spines of the books on her and kun's bookshelf. anhe was old enough to have no trouble sleeping in her own bedroom, but she preferred reading in her parent's room.

"how about... the crucible!"

"no!"

"okay, okay!" the ravenette swallowed her remaining laughter and plopped back onto the bed to pull anhe into her chest. "i'm sorry, lovely, i was just kidding. what story do you want to read?"

anhe hummed as she thought. "i want... finding nemo!"

soojin raised a brow and said, "finding nemo? didn't we watch the movie yesterday?"

"nemo!"

"okay!"

after a short search on the shelf, soojin was about to give up when she found the little nemo book already on anhe's bedside table. she picked it up and raised a brow at the girl, but anhe responded by curling into her mom's side.

the perfect distraction, soojin mentally cooed.

with one arm around anhe and both hands holding the paperback book open, soojin began to read.
