"EVERYONE," Daniel began. "Listen up." The team gathered around in the lobby.

"All right, this morning's event was tough, but let's not get discouraged just yet. We have two more events today."

Everyone rubbed their sore spots while Maddie stood perfectly fine with a small smile. "Eliminations don't begin till the second one." Daniel told them.

"Woah, woah, woah." Demetri spoke up. "If that wasn't the elimination round, what is? Getting our heads cut off with swords?"

"We knew this wasn't gonna be easy." The sensei shook his head. "We're going up against the best dojos in the world. But don't forget, you guys are one of 'em too."

"Yeah, so start fighting like it." Johnny added with a harsher tone.

"Johnny," Daniel sighed. "Come on, man. The best thing you can do right now is just clear your minds, get some rest, you know, put this behind you. You got this, all right? I believe in you."

The teens nodded at their sensei's words before walking off.

MADDIE SCROLLED through her social media, seeing her instagram gain a massive amount of followers since the tournament started.

With her eyes being glued to her screen while walking towards her room, someone cleared their throat in front of her.

Kwon stood there with crossed arms, outside of her private room. Maddie scoffed, "Okay now I'm actually convinced that you're stalking me."

Kwon chuckled slightly at her words. "Maddie, Maddie, Maddie," he mumbled under his breath before glancing back up at her brown eyes. "You were great out there."

"Wow, thanks." Her lips were in a firm line. "Tell me something I don't know."

He smirked at the girl's cockiness. "I mean," he stepped closer to her. "All that screaming, grunting, it kinda turned me on."

Maddie narrowed her eyes. "I can make you do all that stuff off the mat." He whispered.

Their noses brushed together until Maddie suddenly shoved him away, catching him off guard as a small laugh escaped his lips.

"You're just trying to get into my head." She scowled.

Kwon shook his head. "Why would you think that?"

Maddie frowned. "Well, why are you flirting with me?" She tilted her head and crossed her arms across her chest.

"Have you seen yourself?" Kwon raised an eyebrow.

"You're very attractive, and strong," he added. "You're probably the only person on your team who didn't get knocked on their ass by today's events."

Maddie hummed. "True." She continued to stare at the boy in front of her with a small grin. "You think I'm attractive?"

"What you don't believe me?" Kwon grabbed her hand gently. "Let me show you," he moved a stand of her hair away from her face, glancing at every soft feature on her face.

He glanced down at her lips, making her knees want to crumble. Maddie stopped the tension between them by crashing both of their lips together, Kwon quickly responding back.

His cold hands wrapped around her waist as she snuck her arms around his neck, deepening the hungry kiss. Their bodies were pressed together while their mouths moved in perfect sync.

Maddie's hand reached for the knob that was behind her, her not disconnecting their sloppy kiss.

She opened the door and finally pulled away, breathlessly. 

Maddie grabbed his wrist, Kwon looking down at her touch. "So are you coming in or what?" She inquired.

His ears perked up at her words and grinned. "Thought you'll never ask."

He walked in and Maddie rolled her eyes. "Oh shut up," she mumbled and closed the door behind them.

"MADDIE!" The girl jumped awoke at the sudden shout that came from outside of her hotel room.

"Madison!" She recognized the familiar voice and her eyes widened in fear.

It was her dad.

Maddie sat up as she pressed the white sheets onto her exposed chest. "Maddie!" He yelled again, knocking on the door.

"What's wrong?" A croaky voice sat up from beside her, making Maddie turn her head to look at him. Kwon rubbed his eyes tiredly while the girl's face burned up at the sight of his shirtless torso.

"Madison, if you don't open this door right now!"

Kwon's eyes slightly widened. "What do we do?" He asked the girl.

"Go under the bed!" She whispered–shouted.

"No way in hell–"

Maddie squeezed her eyes shut in frustration. "Do you want to get beat up before the tournament?"

Kwon stood quiet before shaking his head. "Then do it now!" She ordered. He quickly slipped into his underwear while under the covers and quickly slid himself under the bed.

"Maddie!"

Maddie threw on a random shirt that was lying around. She kicked all of the clothes that were thrown on the floor under the bed.

Kwon huffed when it made contact with his face.

"Madison–"

The blonde opened the door, leaning her elbow against the doorway. "Um dad, what–what are you doing here?"

"Why aren't you in your karate gi?!" Johnny pulled his eyebrows together. "We're gonna be late!"

"I'm sorry!" She apologized. "I overslept and forgot to put on an alarm, okay? Just give me a break."

Johnny sighed at his daughter's response. "You're right." He nodded. "You've been doing a good job out there and you deserve some rest."

"Thank you," Maddie rolled her eyes. "Now can you please give me five minutes so I can change?"

"Yeah," he stepped away. "Of course."

Maddie slammed the door and walked back into her room. "You can come out now!" She threw her arms in the air.

Kwon didn't waste any minute to get out from under the bed with his clothes in his hands. "You can change in my bathroom." Maddie told him.

"Thanks, 예쁜 여자." He sent her a wink before walking inside her bathroom.

Maddie huffed and face palmed herself for her ridiculous, foolish actions.
