Charles was confused about when it came to Mr. Gilies and Mr. Hayward of when it comes to the book that they have for him and Buffy.

"Wait, what?" Charles asked the two teachers.

Buffy turned to the boy, and it was a surprise of her that Charles didn't know that she was a slayer beside everybody else.

But for Charles, he was shocked that he was something that he was not before.

"Well." Buffy started as she looked at Charles.

Charles looks at the blonde girl as Buffy explains what is going on.

"Charles, I know that you are still new to the school, but I'm a slayer, where fight vampires, werewolves, and so many more." Buffy explains to the confusion boy.

Charles does not know what to say as he does not know what to say, but quickly gets his backpack and leaves the library, where he thinks that the new girl, his English teacher and his friend are crazy.

"Wait!, Mr. Berman!" Mr. Gilies tries to get Charles back, but Charles already leaves the library.

As Charles is leaving from the library, still shocked, he accidentally bumps into someone again, but this time, it's a different person.

The girl, Willow, drops her books as Charles tells her sorry as he gets the books and gives them to the shy girl.

"Sorry about that, I was rushing to my next class." Willow said to Charles in a shy way.

Charles answered, "Oh, no worries, I'm Charles, by the way."

"I'm Willow."

The two shake hands as both of them smile, but it quickly stop when Willow quickly go to her next class, but before Willow can do it, Willow turned ans asked Charles a question.

"Sorry, but are you going to "The Bronze? " Willow asked Charles.

Charles does know that 'The Bronze' is one of the popular places at Sunnydale, mostly to hang out. Although Charles is still new to the town, he was nice and nods to the shy girl.

"Yea, I can come. Is it tonight?" Charles asked Willow.

Willow answers as it was a yes.

Willow decided to get her pen and a piece of paper as she wrote something on it, in which Willow gave her phone number to the Berman boy.

"Here is my number if you wanna hang out." Willow said to Charles and leaves.

The excitement from Charles was coming when Charles saw the phone number that he had in his hand. Charles leaves the school in a normal walk, but when he is outside, he is excited and yells in celebration.

Yet, do his little victory dance.

Charles was getting ready for tonight, where most of his friends would be at 'The Bronze.''

But when he looked himself in the window to see the shirt that he was wearing, he was spooked by a man next to him.

"Hey there, sport." The man said to Charles.

Charles was scared by the man and tried to defend himself by getting his pencil as a weapon.

"Who are you!?" Charles screams at the man.

The man rolled his eyes and said, "Calm down, I had to give you something for protection."

As the man gets a little box, Charles watches as the man opens the box, as it is revealed that it is a silver cross necklace.

Charles gets the necklace and wears it of what the man said. Charles wants to think of him, but he is still not sure who the man is.

"Who are you?" Charles asked the man again, but this time in a calm way and still hold the pencil that he is holding.

The man looks at the short boy as he answers.

"I'm Angel."

Charles looks at the mirror to see the little cross necklace he has right now, but when he turns around, Angel is gone.

Charles begins walking to the place called "The Bronze," in which all of his classmates are here, including Holly, Molly, Willow, Cordelia, and Xander.

Holly is dancing in the dance floor with the other people while Molly is with Cordelia, where the two are having drinks together.

Charles looks around the club and sees Willow talking to someone as he sees that Buffy is here too, but is with Mr. Giles and Mr. Hayward.

Charles was confused as to why the two teachers were here, but come up to Buffy and say hello.

"Oh, good, Charles, you are here too, and Rupert, can we please go somewhere else to talk about this?" Mr. Hayward said to Rupert.

Rupert turns to the blonde English teacher, and he gets annoyed about what Mr. Hayward is talking about it.

"Louis, it's fine. We just have to tell Buffy and Charles about -" but Buffy cut off Rupert.

"Are you two talking out the Harvest?" Buffy asked Rupert and Louis.

Louis eyes were wide when he heard it, "How do you know and what do you mean Harvest?" Louis asked the blonde vampire slayer.

"I mean the Harvest that a guy told me before I got here." Buffy said to the two staff members.

Charles was distracted at first, but then see Willow is talking to the same person, but then grabbed her hand, leaving the bar.

Charles is wondering where does the guy is taking Willow, but he decided to follow the two as Buffy, Rupert, and Louis didn't see that Charles is gone.

'Where is that guy taking Willow?' Charles thought to himself as Willow and the other guy go through the cemetery and stop at the Mausoleum.

Charles is about to follow them but is grabbed by someone, in which it's a girl who glared at Charles and took him to the Mausoleums, where Willow and the other guy are at.

The girl throws Charles at Willow, surprise that Charles is here too, but starts to get scared where the girl, Darla, and the guy transform into vampires.

Charles was shocked, "Oh my god!, you two are vampires!"

Darla smirked, "Yea, sweetie, but I gonna say, you look familiar, but oh well."

Darla is about to bite Charles, but stop when Buffy comes and attacks Darla, in which Charles backs up, still in shock of what is going on.

Buffy stabs the vampire guy with her stake, in which he was destroyed while Charles gets Willow out of the cemetery.

Buffy gets another stake out of her bag and gives it to the Berman boy.

"What's this?" Charles asked Buffy.

"It's a Stake, use it just in case." Buffy said to Charles, who grabbed the stake.

But before anything can happen, the two were attacked by another vampire, who knocks Charles out to the wall, in which Charles vision begins to slowly Blur.

One last thing that Charles sees is that Buffy is fighting off with another vampire before everything turns black.
