Grey POV
I chased Pj for a few minutes before he fell. I got my book and helped my brother up.
"Pj, bro. I love ya. Still. You're an idiot sometimes. ." I said.
He shrugged.
"That's fair."
Uncle Zephyr called us to the kitchen. It was small and dirty. It smelled weird. Like he ran over a skunk then brought it inside.
There was an ashtray on the counter and the oven looked broken yet somehow he got it to work.
He told us he was going out and not to leave the house. Pj argued with him on that but I just went back to the room and read.
When Pj came back I didn't even look up from my book.
"So how'd it go?" I asked.
"We're stuck inside for three hours." He said.
I shrugged. I didn't mind it.
"I'm sneaking out soon as he's gone." Pj said.
"I think the fuck not." I told him.
"Whyyyyy?" He groaned.
"Because he said to stay here. And I'm not going with you if you do." I said.
"Ughhh. Fine. I'll stay here." He said.
Mama called us.
"Put it on speaker!" Pj said.
I did.
"Hi boys, how is it?" She asked.
" it's fine." I said.
"No. He said we can't go outside til he gets back from work." Pj said.
Mama chuckled.
"Just sneak out." She said.
"Grey said not to." Pj replied.
"Grey, go sneak out with your brother-"
"Inky no!" Dad cut in.
I smiled.
  "Neither of you sneak out. Just listen to your uncle!" Dad begged.
  "Ah let me have fun dad." Pj said.
  "Bye guys."
  I hung up.
  "...im gonna do it."
  "Don't you fucking dare." I said.
  He grabbed my book again and jumped out the window. I jumped out after him.
